In this Part 1 episode we travel back in time to the Dominican Republic to revisit the youth of my mother and Fred Ones' parents, under the savage dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo. We explore the tumultuous times that follow his assassination which include Fred Ones' mother's involvement in the leftist revolutionary movement.
