Hello Everyone,

May of you maybe aware about prawns, shrimps and crabs are belong to a seafood family.

Why is it called seafood

I wonder Why too.

I can only guess in my own views that because they supposed to grow in the sea or ocean.

Yet, with all this new infrastructure and technology in farming.

Almost everything people can manipulate.

As such, like the prawns in the video - that is cultured. When you open up to clean and remove the dirt, it is green in colour.

It is also not taste like the one grown naturally at sea.

This one reason that many people has many types of diseases this days.

But if you are cooking this prawns.

HERE IS A QUICK SIMPLE RECIPE

  • 1 kilo large prawns if possible
  • butter or oil
  • minced ginger
  • minced garlic

-1 lemon juice * salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION

  • You can brown the herbs first and once it is brown - you can add the clean dry prawns.

The other simple way is to bake it.

Arrange the prawns on a baking dish and top those brown herbs on the prawns and squeeze the lemon juice and bake until the colours turn orange.

HOW TO KNOW IF THE PRAWNS IS COOKED?

Cooking time as in my experience takes about not more than 10 minutes on a high heat.

Prawns or crabs need to be cook fast as they turn hard like rubber when they get over cooked.

IMAGES CAPTURED IN A SINGLE DAY and I HAVE ASK PERMISSION FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL PRIOR TO CAPTURE THE FOOTAGE

I compiled this video that I captured on July 25 2020 here in Davao City Philippines.

Davao City is located in the Southern part in the Philippines.

This city is home city of our Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte.

I went to the public market and capture some footage of their life.

I interview some individuals, from a labourer that carry goods from the vendors and fish sellers.

As I walk back home, I pass by at the gasoline station Shell, interview the gasoline boy about his life.**

I also talk to a traffic police officer as he stood under the tree, ask permission if I can ask him about his work.

This is the life in a Day of people here in Davao City

Hello Everyone,

Here is a video around San Pedro Square, Magallanes and Claveria during Philippine Independence Day June 12 2020.

I did not put on voice here as I am really sad at this time.

Sad to learn that international flights will be back end of August only. That is so long to wait.

But at least I can look forward on that day.

Everyone is looking forward.

Thank you everyone for watching my videos.

Food ideas from me today here in Davao City as our GCQ - General community quarantine still on going.

Alogbate is the spinach of Philippines, while in Singapore, spinach there is not as slippery as the Philippines.

Alugbati is very nutritious. Loads of fiber, antioxidants and will not make you fat if you eat loads of this.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO COOK OR PREPARE ALUGBATI

I will share you in this video 4 ways to cook Alugbati.

  1. Alogbate Omellete

2.Fried Rice Alogbate

3.Salad Alogbate 2. Pasta Alogbate

OMELLETE

For this recipe, you need

eggs

salt to taste

,cooking oil

and

alugbati.

You can finely chop the alugbati so that it will blend well to the eggs.

FRIED RICE ALOGBATE

This is a mixture of

cook rice

if you have some leftovers chicken, fish fillet or other kinds of dry cook fish would be great option.

Alternatively, you can use something else like fried eggs

Or just other vegetable like carrots and beans.

Other ingredients of Fried rice Alogbate is

  • Garlic
  • Salt To taste
  • Alugbate

SALAD ALOGBATE

The main ingredients that gives a kick this recipe is the chili paste.

You can get chilli paste at the grocery store, there is a little sweat and the normal one, either one of this, you can use a table spoonful and add some vinegar and lemon juice.

The video will guide you how all that work with the salad prepration.

PASTA ALOGBATE

This is a lazy recipe,

Just boiled some pasta, when the pasta is cooked, remove the water, put back the pasta into the skillet, add a little oil and add the alugbati.

Cook until it is soft but not over cooked it.

Will everyone, I hope you like that food ideas from me today.

Writing you still from my apartment here in Davao Philippines.

We are still partly lockdown here.

My next video will be showing you I make the shoes cabinet and chest of drawers.

Been too long isolated in the house.

The pandemic corona virus seems become the cooking competition to many of us at home.

Well, what else can do? Cooking skills improve and many of course got fat.

I knew someone who had heart attach and was in come. According to my source, since the lockdown, he does not go out and was always eating, drinking, eating and sleeping.

One day, he was rush to the hospital nearby here in the city of Davao.

Many of us also become creative.

Aside from me cooking, I also planted some plants that I took from the laundry area where many home owners left their plants and move somewhere else after the earthquake.

THE HOME MADE FERTILISER

There were so many kitchen left overs such as the peels of lemon and oranges as well as vegetables.

I turn them into a Fertiliser.

How Did I do this?

It was simple, I collected those kitchen waste, cut them into small pieces.

I place them into a bucket.

The waste has to be at the bottom. I place a layer of soil enough to cover the kitchen waste.

Never include any meat or liquid into this kitchen waste that you want to turn into Compost or Fertiliser.

I waited 2 weeks and there you go, I have a great Fertiliser for my new plants.

When I am back to Singapore, I will surely plant more and will use the organic home made fertiliser.

  • Let us create and recycle things from our kitchen.
  • Let us plant our own food this days.
  • Let us be creative.
  • Let us back to the old times how we pluck fruits and vegetables from hour backyard and gardens.
  • If we do not have space, we can plant using pots and sure we have place to this pots.

Thank you everyone for watching my videos

Hello everyone,

Today, I like to share with you the River of Davao City called Salug River - Salug means FLOOR.

The river is connected to Coastal water here in Mindanao.

Re-construction of this River is currently on going.

In this video, you see children jumping from a rope that tied up to the tree* to the river.

It feels like it was me when I was back to my village far from Davao City.

Today, during this time of covid, there are even more children swimming and playing into the river as the water got much clearer.

Imagine how we destroy the nature specially our river.

During the time I was cruising this River this year on March 4 before the Covid- it was not so clear like today.

When I was cruising with my friend who is afraid of the water it was foggy and muddy a little.

Today when I go to the top of my condo, I can see the clear water from the distance.

I hope you guys enjoy this video from Davao city River here in Mindanao Philippines.

Today is the day that my pass allows me to go out and I went out for a walk towards biggest public market here in Davao City.

From my condo unit in Bolton Extension, Bankerohan Public market is about 10 minutes walk along Magallanes street.

I was shock when I arrived at the usual place I go to. The place is closed and you have to make a turn far away from Magallanes street.

The entrance of the market is at the other side of Metro building. Surprisingly, I did not notice that people are queing up for entering the market where you can get fresh fruits and vegetables at a whole price.

Though the market is huge. This particular area is super cheap and can get almost all kinds of fresh vegetables and fruits**.

Bankerohan Public Market is the biggest market in Davao City**.

Some areas for fish, meat and livestocks.

There are also areas for rice and bananas.

Bankerohan public market indeed is the place to go when you want super fresh stuff for cooking.

I hope you guys enjoy this video.

I thank you all in advance for watching my country Davao City Philippines..

In November last year, my husband and I drove from Singapore to Ipoh and then along the way back to Johor Bahru, we stop over one night in Pangkor island.

This video will start from Ipoh Town. Do you guys know Michelle Yeoh? She is a famous actress back in Singapore and Malaysia. She is from Ipoh town.

Ipoh is also belongs to Estate of Perak in Malaysia.

In Ipoh, they are famous for limestone. The hills over there as we drove the highway, I saw bulldozer were bringing down the hills for limestone.

From Ipoh, we head down towards Kuala Lumphur. KL is the capital city of Malaysia.

We decided to change our direction. We head direction to Pangkor Island.

I took us about 4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.

There is a big terminal to park your car at the main town of Pangkor.

We took the boat ride about 10 minutes to the island.

There was 3 island to go. We have chosen the one that has many hotels we can choose. A more localise.

In the island, you can go around by local car for hire.

Very small island that you can finish in about 1 hour tour.

I took a lot of footage shots in the island that makes some sales as well.

The island has fine sand and clear blue water. It was in the early morning that We went for a walk.

Overall. it was good to see the Island but it is not necessary to go back.

In Malaysia, there are so many wonderful places to go. There are mountains and white sand beaches.

The only problem I see in Malaysia is they are poor in maintenance.

When you are into the island, about 80 percent of the resorts are not maintain.

If they are maintained, it will be very costly to stay as well.

I hope you guys have time to watch the video so that you can feel you have seen Malaysia.

Thank you all for your support.. @ElvieLins

Hey folks

Davao City is on General Community Quarantine since 16 of May 2020.

Look how the traffic around Davao capital city.

Look at the jeep, no more squeezing to each other.

The torture to passenger is over.

We hope for the best that this will be always like this.

That Jeeneys should not over loaded with passengers like how it was before.

We also hope that they should not be allowed to run when they look like junks.

Guys, Davao is back to life

Welcome everyone to Maragusan. Located in compostella Valley.

I join a tour in this video.

From Davao city, we started at 2 am in the morning. The trip was exhausted and I do not recommend doing this kind of tour.

The best to do is to rent a car, drive to your own convenience and rest as and when you like.

HERE ARE SOME SIGHTSEEING YOU CAN DO IN MARAGUSAN DAVAO DEL NORTE PAR OF COMPOSTELLA VALLEY

  • CALAMBA FARM - if you arrive here early, you can see the see of clouds, it is very pretty. Though you can see many see of clouds in other places nearby Davao City such as Marilog.

The waterfalls is amazing * Pyalitan Falls - is pretty high. During the weekend expect with loads of local tourist. * Tagbibinta Falls - a long falls with stretch of streams as you can see on the video. The locals are enjoying swimming by the river. * Kanlawig hotspring - this is not a hotspring really, a man made kind of spring. I was dissapointed on this place.

I have visited many dissapointing hotspring in Mindanao and nothing really tells me it is a hot water, nor warm.

However, the nature is amazing to see.

Because I have been to so many parts of the world, my likes may not be your likes. As a local Filipina in Davao, I have not been touring my own country. Some are really fascinated me but some are not.

Well, guys, I like to share my own perception, like and dislikes. I have a high expectation specially when high paying tour is involve in my budget.

Again, do not join the rush tour that start after midnight as it is not safe to travel.

The driver is falling asleep in our trip. I was setting next to him and I keep waking him up. Yes, that was scary.

Rent a car on your own and drive. There are thousands of places you can discover here in the Philippines.

My recent climb in the mountain before the lockdown. I join the trip to Mount Kulago in the city of Bukidnon. This is very South part of Mindanao.

This team was the first time going up to Mountain Kulago.

In the video, you will see the mountain path and some of my friends.

We cross the river that is the deep above my hips and up to my breast.

Not knowing what was on the river, we just trust the guide. It was pretty scary.

But as we walk on the path of the mountain. though it was steep, but it was fun.

Here are some pictures for you and if you see this video on @hive, you can see the images.

Mount Kulago look like a rice terraces that create that waves. This image here is a friend of mine who pose with Vietnamese hat.

In mountain we bring our won water and food. We make coffee in the morning as we enjoy the sun coming.

And the image below is a tent lighted with a christmas light. The moon is so real. This picture creates that beautiful background.

I miss to be with the nature.

For now, I want to thank you to to you all for reading and giving me support by upvoting my post.

Please leave a comment and share with me your post as well so that I can follow you and vote your post.

Hello everyone,

Happy Sunday from Davao City Philippines.

We are opening up here in Mindanao.

From Enhance Community Quarantine, now become General Community Quarantine.

The difference is more shops, malls are open for business.

Construction workers are coming back to work.

The building where I am staying right now is my apartment and there is a massive repair going on.

I am nervous of those people that are coming back to work into the building again as there are about 300 of them.

I am afraid they may bring in the virus.

I will be taking video on how our security guard tomorrow how they take precautions.

We hope for the best.

As usual, I like to say to you all.. STAY FIT

I am loving your support and I thank you.

Hey folks,

This time of pandemic, quarantine and stuff, we cannot go out as and when we like.

I understand there are many ways to keep the vegetables last longer.

This is my way of doing too.

I boiled my vegetables in a salty boiling water.

It is very common that coming from the market, many of us just dump our groceries to refrigerator and I think this is very wrong to do.

Our vegetables has a lot of worms specially the broccoli and cauliflowers.

Those leafy vegetables as well turn yellow after 2 or more days.

It get rot inside the fridge and will also contaminate other food with worms and other stuff.

Boiling these vegetables help me keep for at least 2 weeks.

Hoping this will help or give you some ideas on preserving your vegetables as well.

Hey everyone,

Here is a video to share with you, I was in Camiguin Island.

A small island full of surprises such waterfalls.

What fascinate me is the small island that you can only access in certain time. the small white sand will be covered with sea when it is high tide.

**This video will also show you that I met some people and we hike in Mount Hibok Hibok. The highest point of the island in Camiguin.

Overall, I have to say, when you go to Camiguin Island, you can spend minimum of 3 days to discover the whole island.

Philippines is very beautiful, I am a Filipina and I am fascinated to what I discover.

I have been to so many places in other parts of the world but not my own country.

Perhaps you can relate. We tend to discover other country before ours as we have this thinking, that our own country can wait and other countries not.

Yes, I can imagine that.

Well, hope you guys like this video. And if you happen to like this, please help me hit likes..

Help me subscribe to my 3speak channel too.

I thank you for your love
