I started the process of kickstarting the mentorship programme for the 6 newbies that declared interest in the mentorship class I offered.

I welcomed them as usual briefly and then gave them a few tasks and gave them the outline of the mentorship class.

The class will be divided majorly into

• Blogging/vlogging on hive
• Gaming on hive
• Defi

I started by giving them the task for the week.

The tasks are as follows

• Set up a profile
• Do an introductory post
• Make at least 100 comments in the next week

I also told them to get back to me if they encountered any issues.

@mr-sarri complained that he couldn't comment because he was out of resource credits, so I decided I was going to delegate 50 hive power to him.

I expect most of them to make a similar complaint and that will be the basis of judging their seriousness for the first week.

I decided some few weeks ago that I was going to be teaching more people about hive during my leave.

The aim is to make these new set of people motivated enough to make hive a part of their daily routine.

I did it for about 7 people and only 2 people are currently using hive on a daily basis.

It's also nice to announce that their reputation is above 60 too.

I also intend to teach them other aspects asides blogging.

Gaming is also another fun way of interacting on hive and I intend to make sure they also get knowledgeable about it.

So If you are interested in being mentored on hive, you could either chat me up or drop a comment.

I currently have 32 people on the list. I will be accepting 8 more and then I will start their journeys with them.

@kikibriggs is the first person and she has made her introductory post.

@debaosaghae is the second person, although she is quite busy with her day job.

@adanna is a medical student who has interest in finance.

I feel this is my little way of adding value to the hive community.

Diabetes is a chronic condition characterized by persistebt hyperglycemia in the blood.

People living with diabetes are at risk of a lot of complications which includes; kidney disease, blindness etc

This is why it is important that people living with diabetes should conttol their blood sugar.

one of the ways of knowing if your blood sugar is well controlled is by monitoring it.

I talked about how to measure blood glucose using a glucometer in the video.

Today is world prematurity day and it is themed keep mother's and babies alive together.

Prematurity is a term used to describe babies born before 37weeks of gestation.

Being born prematurely comes with a lot of complications which include overwhelming infections, neonatal jaundice, respiratory distress, hypothermia(abnormally low temperature).

Despite these complications, a lot of them survive if they are properly managed and even go on to be healthier.

Hence, the need for the celebration.

At the university college hospital, we decided to celebrate this day to educate and acknowledge mothers. So I did the footage of everything and decided to make a collection of it

KMC(kangaroo mother care), breastfeeding, hand washing and prevention of infections are key in the survival of these young babies.

So I decided to try my hands with the pictures and video clips I took.

So I decided to do my first video and funny enough I though it was going to be a difficult process.

To my surprise it was way easier than I thought as regards uploading videos.

Today is world diabetes day amd I think everyone should know a few things about diabetes as diabetes is becoming an epidemic in the world right now.

I t is also important to note that early diagnosis of diabetes help prevent mortality and also gives one a chance to have a better quality of life.

Sorry for the hitches in the video. This is my first attempt, I hope to get better.
