Grayson, Felix, and Leo (all 5th-graders) researched the three Reconstruction Amendments. Unfortunately Felix's part is read by Ms. Jones, due to technical problems. Thanks also to Jasmine, who tried to help by re-recording Felix's part, but technology failed us there too!
First, Jasmine (Grade 5) teaches us about the Black Codes, which were laws passed during Reconstruction to harm African-Americans. Next, we switch topics, and Nevin and Mark (Grade 6) teach us about cloning - its history, its present, and its possible future impacts.
Two sixth-graders, Jayden and Adrian, give a short overview of some things they know about how inheritance is related to dog breeds. And they do it on video! Thanks to our ITTS, Mrs. Dawhi, for her help.
Emma, a 5th-grader, reads a piece of fiction she wrote imagining the life of a recently freed young woman after the Civil War.
