Are you intelligent and intuitive at the same time? Independent and free-spirited? Do you feel there is something missing and do you want more out of life? This is a podcast for driven entrepreneurial women who don’t know how extraordinary they really are and want to make a real difference in the world. I believe life does have meaning and we do make a difference.
For most of our struggles we seek solutions outside of ourselves and I believe the best answers actually come from within. When we know ourselves and find the True North of our purpose we become unstoppable. My intention is that this podcast inspires, sparks insight, and holds the space for you to connect with your inner wisdom, that innate intelligence every being is born with.
In this coaching session my guest talks about her connection with Spain where she has been living for the past 15 years and founded a language school and her connection to her home country The Netherlands. Lately she has been struggling with a dilemma after recent events in her life including the passing of her mother as well Covid and the repercussions on her business.
Making a major life decision is never easy and we get stuck when we weigh all the options because real life never offers a perfect balance. Any decision seems to come at a personal price - or at the price of a loved one’s happiness. How do we deal with this when there is a nagging feeling that cannot be ignored and cannot be resolved easily.
As Inge explores different perspectives and discovers her values, why they are relevant and she discovers things about herself too.
Do you ever feel stuck and wish you knew how to take the first step in the right direction? value freedom, family, clarity, connection, love and growth? Then this conversation will appeal to you too.
My guest Inge Hol has been living in the South of Spain for 15 years where she and her husband founded a successful language school. In addition, Inge devotes her time to personal finance and published her first book 100 Steps to Financial Independence, followed several years later bij a second book: 30 Days to Financial Excellence. As of 2021 Inge is financial coach to entrepreneurs to help them transition from running a thriving business to gaining desired financial means and freedom in their private lives. Inge also hosts an English language podcast The Financial Harmony and more recently, the Dutch podcast Gelukkiger met geld.
As I am speaking I am experiencing an empty stomach hunger. Something I recently learned is actually a good thing and no reason to panic and head for the refrigerator. This is huge insight for me. After years of struggling with my weight and nutrition choices, I have finally made a major change and it was all because I found my WHY. Sure, I wanted to look good, or rather, look like myself again. And I wanted to comply with our society’s standard for beauty however ridiculous but when I look at the heart of my frustration, that had a lot to do with it.
Now, I discovered a deeper truth behind my desire to lose weight. When I was younger I sought acceptance and love. Now I seek health and vitality. For several reasons. They are the WHY that I talk about in the new episode of Effortless Mission Podcast.
in this Session I talk to Petra Donkers, entrepreneur with two businesses, singer, author and photographer. Petra talks about her mission to make an impact on young people to have a happy life. At an early age she discovered not all children are happy and she made it her mission to help young people become happier in their lives because school doesn’t teach children how to be happy. She became a teacher and a mom and discovered making the impact she wanted was not as effortless as she had imagined. Now, many years later she is still on the same journey but through the vehicle of her own business which is a success.
That same success is now challenging her to step up into being a leader in her community. Something she finds hard to do. Today we talk about three things that hold her back from stepping into her leadership.
Is there really such a thing as an objective view of the world? Wars are fought over what is perceived to be real and not real. Yet we each have our personal way of looking into the world and seeing what is around us a. Where one notices dark clouds gathering on the metaphorical horizon, another sees enough opportunity to create something new in the world.
We are unaware how many choices we make throughout the day; choices whether to regard something as an opportunity or a threat.
At a fine art exhibition on Albert Cuyp recently, I was inspired by the dreamy scenes of a perfect harmonious world set in Arcadian landscapes inhabited by contented cows and prosperous people.
It got me thinking about perspectives and how different we really are. Join me on an exploration on vision and
In this episode I coach Tania Solis Camara on a topic many of us experience: a busy mind that never seems to stop chattering and an inability to stay present for long.
Tania works in a corporate environment as an Agile coach and she loves her job. Her biggest challenges is to stuff all her ideas and activities into 24 hours. The day is simply not long enough to chase after each shiny object that comes along. Like so many of us, Tania comes today with a busy mind that she longs to quieten en slow down. Her purpose in life is to bring equanimity to people even if she doesn’t always feel that equanimity herself.
We teach others what we want to learn ourselves.
Together we do an exercise that offers a different perspective on dealing with thoughts and can be practised anywhere and in any situation. Pay special attention to the valuable insight Tania has after the exercise.
In a quest for effortlessness in our lives, what is the essential ingredient that connects us to our inner wisdom?
What would it be like to not plan and let everything go and just deal with what comes your way?
In this coach like conversation (not a coaching session this time) Hannah Boehmer and I discover how we become the best versions of ourselves and why self care is not a matter of hard work relaxing but really revolves around one important question: What do you really want?
But first, because we got off to a messy start, we create a a space through a meditation to get really present and into inspiration.
In this episode we talk about an essential part of growth and personal development: self-awareness. What is it really and and what can we gain from become more self-aware? This talk dives into elements of our lives that determine how we experience life, grow and and how we make choices. We explore why self-awareness is a requirement for growth and what it takes to cultivate more self-awareness.
Any personal hero’s journey benefits from self-knowledge and a willingness, or sometimes even unwillingness to face one’s own demons.
What can high-performers learn from their success? How well do you know your boundaries? How feedback helps you grow or hold you back? How to stay grounded when you’re flying high? Even you have a superpower - everyone does. Connect with that and you are on your way to a personal definition of succes.
In today’s coaching session, Marjolijn connects with her own me-shape. Her core values of autonomy play a pivotal role in her business and private life as they interconnect. When her flexibility as a n entrepreneur is challenged, she feels boxed in. Today, in a powerful personal vision she discovers a space that holds her truth and where she finds her ultimate champion.
Marjolijn Vlug is a career coach who helps you explore, own and create a job and career that is truly you-shaped. After a career in HR and recruitment, she experienced coaching and discovered that being a coach herself, and a solopreneur, really allows her to be Marjolijn-shaped. Entrepreneurship gives her flexibility in her family life with small kids, and the freedom to fully work from her own talents and values. As a coach, Marjolijn often works with internationals in the Netherlands and with multi-passionates (multi-potentialites) like herself. That said, she’s really interested in every individual’s personal story.
She still very much values being coached herself as every different coach has their very own distinct style and learning to offer.
Today, as I coach Amber, she talks about how ease is at the core of her mission. Yet ease is often lacking as a lot of things are hard in life. And as an entrepreneur, Amber experiences fear and disappointment as she grows in her business. Listen how she discovers the real nature of her suffering and how a glimpse into the future reveals her awesomeness. Amber is challenged to push her own boundaries and learns something new. Listen for the shift when her internal message transforms and she makes an important decision in her entrepreneurship and experience of success.
In a world where we compare ourselves to outward successes of others, it is easy to feel a lack of self-confidence when we’re up for a challenge. Our short sightedness convinces us there are things we should already be instead of what we can become, instead of what we can learn. But true confidence comes from believing that you’ll be okay, no matter what happens. Confidence resides inside where you are whole. Let your true nature be your guide: “Stop thinking you’re doing it all wrong. Your path doesn’t look like anybody else’s because it can’t, it shouldn’t, and it won’t.”(Eleanor Brown). When our thinking gets in the way, cultivating self-compassion is more effective to building self-esteem than positive thinking.
The hidden agenda behind what we do is to find happiness, in many different ways and we’re not always successful at it and it definitely isn’t easy. What if it could be? What if a sense of happiness each day came within your reach. Would you take it?
Whether you know it or not, we each have a mission that we work to bring into the world everyday. But it isn't always easy. We run into obstacles that divert us from our goals. And often those obstacles lie within ourselves even as we seek solutions outside of ourselves. What we need is reconnecting with what we really want, reconnecting with ourselves. A sense of ease comes from within. join me for a quest for more ease in our lives. So that who we are is fully expressed int heh world and what we do is meaningful.
When was the last time you actually stopped? Truly stopped everything? Just to enjoy the view along the way of your life. How many times a day do you stop to count your blessings, show gratitude for all that you have achieved, for what life has handed you, whether it be opportunities to grow or simply good fortune in the smallest way. When we charge through life it blurs our judgment and our view of the world. It compromises our ability to deal with change and misfortune. Join me in this podcast for a simple and effective way to connect with your inner resilience.
