You probably know the cares weigh you down.
But you know what?
You can also cast, or give, or THROW your cares on the Lord --
And He will take them.
Believe me, you won't want to take them back.
Today I show you how to cast your cares on Him -- it becomes easier and easier to let the Lord handle the cares, ALL of the cares -- and you walk in His joy and peace.

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
- We have all had thoughts that plague us.
- We have all had thoughts that made us feel fearful, angry, or guilty.
- We have all had thoughts that made us think we're bad people.
Are those thoughts a gift from Jesus?
NO, of course not!
Those are thoughts the enemy throws at us, hoping we will speak them out and allow them to direct our life.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

Prosperity within your palacesβ (Psalm 122:6-7).
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem changes you and blesses you.
The Lord calls us to do exactly that.
We will behold the Lord when He comes again there (Acts 1:11 and Zech. 14:4) and at that time He will establish permanent peace within its walls. He IS the Prince of Peace!

Being in a "horrible pit" could easily describe all our lives BEFORE Christ (even though some of us didn't realize how horrible that pit truly was until AFTER the Lord rescued us from it).
"I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouthβPraise to our God;
Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord" (Psalm 40:1-3).
We cannot rescue ourselves.
We cannot do what only God can do.
Be encouraged today that the Lord is your Deliverer.
There is nothing impossible for Him! Praise Him now and be set free!

This is the scripture we meditate upon during our PraiseMoves posture called "The Flapping Tent."
To "inspire" means to inhale, but it also means "to be motivated as if by divine influence" (Webster's New World Dictionary).

Be acceptable in Your sight,

I think we've all been "too smart for our own good" -- I know I have!
It is SO much better to put our opinions and ideas aside, and come humbly to the Lord as a trusting child to learn His ways. His ways are perfect (and Jesus IS "the Way, the Truth, and the Life" - John 14:6).

What does it mean to "WAIT" upon the Lord?

How can we tell if we are in faith?
How can we enter the rest of God?

Have you wondered what IS the Grace of God? More than "unmerited favor" (as wonderful as that is), it's been said:
"Grace is God's willingness to use his ability and power
on our behalf -- even though we don't deserve it."
π΅π π΅ I even came up with a little melody to go along with it today. You may want to sing with your children or grandchildren, or simply sing it yourself (as I've been doing all day!)
I also think you'll find the apostle Paul's Holy Spirit-inspired words about grace fascinating in light of this expanded definition. Praise the Lord! ππ₯³π

This is the scripture that I believe helped my husband receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The Lord put my husband Paul on a young man's heart to pray a portion of Psalm 1 over him during his prayer time every day.
Several weeks later, Paul had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and he was gloriously saved!
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper (Psalm 1:1-3).
Speak this Psalm over yourself or a loved one, substituting where it says "the man" and "he" or "his" to correspond to recipient of your prayer.

Doctors and popular culture tell us to relieve stress through meditation, and it often comes with the trappings of New Age spirituality and Eastern mysticism ("empty the mind"). π«
As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to FILL our minds with the Word of God and thus follow the Holy Spirit's directive in Romans 12:2, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

When you look at the historical account in Luke 17 of the 10 lepers who were healed when they were obedient to Jesusβ directive to go show themselves to the priest β youβll remember they were healed "as they went ..."
We notice that one man, a stranger, came back and worshiped the Lord. This former leper was made βcompletely whole.β I like to think that even the ravages of leprosy (missing fingers and decayed pieces of his nose and ears) were completely restored and made every whit whole. Doesnβt that sound like our Jesus to you?
Itβs Godβs will that you be well in EVERY area. 3 John 2 says, βBeloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.β
NOW is the time to RECEIVE your healing. Today is the day of salvation -- being made whole in every area of your life.

C.S. Lewis said, "Joy is the serious business of heaven." Joy is serious business! π
We're told to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS -- "AGAIN I say rejoice," says Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (Philippians 4:4).
You can look at it this way, Rejoicing is your celebration -- a demonstration -- of your expectation that God is working in your situation! There is POWER in rejoicing and accessing the joy of the Lord.

Whenever the LORD wanted to change a situation, He would SPEAK to that situation ("And God said..." in Genesis 1, for example). There were also times in both the Old and New Testaments where God told His leaders to SPEAK to a situation to hasten a breakthrough.
Today I share some of these instances with you to build your faith in the spiritual authority you have as a Believer, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said that wherever two or three people are gathered together in His Name, He is there in the midst of them. WOW! What is Jesus doing there in the midst of them? He's there to make good on what they ask and agree upon in line with God's Word.
As the Lord said in John 14:14, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."

What Jesus said in Mark 11:24 is pivotal to a life of faith and answered prayer.
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."Okay, but HOW do you receive? What does that look like?
In this episode, I'll share with you exactly how I do that. It's the same way I've seen thousands receive the answers to their prayers over the years:

Ask/pray in line with a promise in God's Word (that's the solid foundation on which to stand - see 1 John 5:14-15)

Believe You Receive (to believe IS to receive -- believing is receiving into your spirit)

Thank and praise the Lord that you HAVE that which you have received by faith (when you receive a gift, what do you do first? Say, "Thank you!" Thank and praise the Lord that you HAVE received from Him in line with His promises in the Word of God).
