Serious conversations with a playful mindset. 20 years of martial arts training has shown me that the concepts we train in the dojo help develop skills to use in life. I have used these concepts to answer the difficult questions of life and have helped many others do the same. Let us learn to live, laugh and learn. Would you like to have coffee with a Ninja?
This episode was intended to be a summary discussion of the last three episodes and how the mind is the epicentre of creation. However, it went into a tangential discussion on Loss and coping with loss. The guests were three good friends of mine who have also been loyal listeners.
Always fun to talk about difficult topics and I learned a lot from this discussion.
PS: Apologies for the long gap. I moved countries a month ago and the packing shipping and moving took most of my time. Who knew wrapping up your life of 7 years will be difficult. LOL
Episode 3 – The Power of Movement
Movement is all around us. Whether it is Movement in the body or mind, we need to move to survive and thrive. My guest for this episode is an International Fitness and Bio-hack coach. I have known Meruet from a lifetime ago back in university during my MBA days. A lot has changed in the last 12 years. Join me on the episode along with my trustee apprentice to explore the concepts and complexities of Movement.
Here is a little something about Meruet. (IG: kosher_projects)
Her Karma – I am a medic, a biotech & pharma corporate executive, a public health practitioner, a fitness fanatic, an advocate of holistic health and a mind-body coach.
Her Dharma – I seek fulfilment by being of service to others. I specialise in personal rebranding, which entails an emotional and physical alteration of oneself (via training and Movement), resulting in transformational changes to the body, mind, individual’s microcosm, and lifestyle.
Her training approach encapsulates mind-body connection, whereby elasticity of mind drives fluidity of body and mastery of physical fitness to produce a body capable of serving your most bold desires!
The current pandemic we are going through has touched all of our lives in some way or another. We have all lost people and things, and our lives will never be the same again. As a core principle of my martial arts, I know that there is learning in everything and everything in learning. What then can we learn from loss?
Let us find out in my conversation with two active nurses helping us navigate this Covid crisis. As usual, I have my trusty apprentice to accompany me on this adventure.
P.S.
This topic was especially important to me. I lost my Father to Covid on 18 Sept 2020. it has been a year, but the trauma of going through the Covid madness and losing my Father is still very real. Even today, the many beeping sounds of the ICU makes me cringe. I am not surprised it took me two months to edit this episode. I had to befriend my demons to let them go.
Change is all-consuming and inevitable. How do we deal with change? Conversation with a ninja, my fake apprentice and my first guest, a marketing guru and a prominent name in the digital media space in Singapore. Let's learn and laugh about the effects of change on relationships during the pandemic.
