Today is day one of the production of our friend Alejandro's new instrumental album titled Siamese Tree. The first track on the album is called Cabalgata Noctura, which is Spanish for Midnight Horse Ride or Nocturnal Horse Ride.
It's such a priviledge to record a beautiful instrument like this.

El día de hoy tuvimos el agrado de recibir a este maravilloso poeta, músico, creador: Jandir.
Jandir es un Nicaraguense nacido en San Rafael del Norte
que ha llegado ha Guatemala el 3 de Diciembre del 2019.
empezo con la música folkclorica, de protesta, música de manifestación en el contexto social de
Nicaragua.
En el 2018 tuvo que salir de Nicaragua por Persecución Politica justo en sus inicios en la música
como canto autor.
Hace un año y 3 meses saco su segundo disco.
Actualmente Jandir esta trabajando en un poermario, este poemario va a ser un libro que va a ser numerado y va a ser su primer trabajo como escritor de libros. Jandir quiere tratar bien a las palabras y hacer canciones que tengan un peso poetico.
Jandir para escribir la canción "Ven" se ha inspirado en una mujer con la que tiene una relación. Pero la canción le ayuda mucho para su propia persepción del amor y con esta canción quiere ofrecerla al amor.
Jandir piensa que el amor lo interpreta cada quien a su propia manera y eso influye en la maera en la que uno escribe.
Para Jandir la música deberia de ser sin intermediario ya que la musica es arte.
Jandir deja el siguiente mensaje a nuestros hermanos Venezolanos en HIVE, en web3 y en la vida real: les recomienda hacer su música de manera honesta y con pasión. La música en latinoamerica está monopolizada por cierto grupo de artistas la cual hacen musica de verano y musica desechable.

2023 is election year in Guatemala, and our friends Kamikaites did a live version of their original song "Señor delincuente" (Mr. Criminal). In Spanish, the word criminal rhymes with president, so it's a nice play on words.

"Baby Please don't go" is a traditional blues song written by Big Joe Williams in 1935. It's been covered many many times, by the likes of Muddy Waters, AC/DC and Aerosmith. Today we cut a rough and dirty take of my friend Jimmy Blues performing this song in the lounge area of the recording studio.
The guitar played is a Takamine GN51CE-BSB acoustic-electric
It recorded through a Neumann TLM 103 large diaphragm condenser microphone
Voice was recorded with a Shure SM7B
sometimes, playing as is has its magic.

It's always great to welcome new artists in the studio. Today we were visited by the stoner rock band Orchard. These guys asked to record a live demo of what was to be their self-recorded and produced album. But after hearing them perform, I think they'll end up recording and producing the album with us.
As you can see, the setup is live and stripped down. Drum kit is mic'd up with an Audix D6 on the kick, a Shure SM57 on snare and a Neumann TLM103 as an over-the-shoulder overhead.
The guitar amp has an SM57 right up against the grill
and the bass is DI.
We put an SM58 on the drummer's vocals
and a Neumann KMS105 on lead vocals.
These kids are working hard and I think they have talent. So why not help them out a bit.
