The HABITS podcast is the devotional musings of Fusion Youth in Maitland Australia. We read the Bible a couple of times a week and reflect on it.
Supporting Ideas help us to point to the big idea from the passage we are checking out. In this short episode, Erich give us the basics on supporting ideas and how they are useful.
The Big idea a a unifying statement about the passage you are studying. It helps us to clearly understand what the passage is saying. In this episode Erich unpacks how to work out what the Big Idea is giving some helpful tips and some traps to avoid.
This week we explore structure in a Bible passage. Structure helps us to understand the details of a passage so we can work out the main ideas found within. Erich shares a few helpful tools that will hopefully be useful as you explore a passage in depth.
Reading the bible in context is really helpful so that you don't misread what it is saying and misapply it to your life.
Here are some tips to help you work out the context of the passage as you dive deep into what it says.
