We all want to bring back the beliefs that have inspired and shaped us in a better form after they've been taken apart. But we don't wanna be stuck always rebuilding and never simply living peacefully in our updated understanding. Take some R+R here at Reconstruction Rehab. A place where we can reconstruct our core beliefs when they've been shaken, and be rehabilitated when we are done with that process... not stay stuck in it. We are specifically geared toward rediscovering and walking in the ancient Way of Jesus of Nazareth together and inspiring others to do the same. For many of us, the trappings of modern American Christianity have distorted Christ's teachings and distracted us from that journey of discipleship to Him. The fellow faith travelers from other religious traditions are welcome here to share of their story and wisdom, as well as those who feel they've never lost touch with their faith in Jesus to the point where it needed a complete overhaul. We are all searching for something divine and eternal to give our lives meaning; and our stories and perspectives in that process have worth and need to be shared. We want everyone to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, but we want to travel with you now wherever you are at and however you define your beliefs. From saint to secular, atheist to agnostic, deism to Dharma... even Calvinist to Arminian, and Baptist to Charismatic (+etc, etc;) ... Let's go on a pilgrimage together into the Truth; and revel in the profound joy of the simple Gospel.
Here I unpack the kaleidoscope of thoughts/feels I have about this pod; in particular, as related to the conversation I had with my last guest, Ben.

In which I process what's been going on in the more than a month since I last recorded or published an episode, and then float a brief announcement about a change I want to make in the different types of episodes I make... making daily devotionals more specific and changing some of the former "devotionals" to "daily mutterings" (DM's ;). This seems like a more accurate description of what I've been doing.

IwI Read Psalm 18:2 and attempt to make sense of it in light of all God does throughout human history.
IwI begin to narrate my story of becoming a part of Jesus's Church. Starting with attempting to define the terms a bit, moving into with my experiences with the church I've gone to the past 6 years (Fellowship Missionary Church in Fort Wayne, IN), and ending with the experiences I had today when I went back to a Sunday service for the first time in months.
IwI Read the "verse of the day" from the Bible app and give some reflections on it and pray it back to God. The verse(s) of the day today is(are) Hebrews 10: 24-25
