Ágnes Varga was born in Győr, Hungary, and has been fond of languages all her life. Her desired career path was to study English to become an interpreter or a diplomat. However, with a sudden decision, she chose to study Computer Science in addition to English at the University of Veszprém, which changed her whole career path. After graduating, she became an Assistant Lecturer, then later a Senior Lecturer at the Department of IT at Széchenyi University in her hometown, Győr. During this time, she brought back her love for languages into her PhD thesis about the possibility of automatic post-editing of machine-translated text, which she finished in 2012.

After getting her PhD, memoQ approached her, and she has been working with them for the past 10 years: 7 years as a Software Developer, then a Development Team Lead and Product Manager, and now as a CTO, managing an outstanding Production team.

Leonid Glazychev originally specialized in plasma physics and computer simulation graduated with honors (M. Sc.) and holds a Ph.D. degree in physics and mathematics. He was lucky to join one of the first ever software localization projects, and that turned out to be a life-changer. Leonid co-founded Logrus, a professional software localization company when even the concept itself was somewhat novel, and served as the company’s CEO since then. Over the last 28+ years, we (now Logrus IT) have grown from 3 employees to 160+, with multiple offices around the world, including China, Korea (added in 2017), and Turkey (added in 2022). His goal is to bring some hard-core, fundamental, objective, and unbiased scientific approach and knowledge to the areas traditionally occupied by project managers and linguists. He is relentlessly challenging common knowledge, traditional ways, and widespread prejudice, and enjoys working with people and demonstrating creative thinking.

Ever since my father’s career in the US Air Force moved me and my family to Italy I’ve been fascinated with language, culture, travel, and adventure. Today, I’m fortunate to lead Keylingo - a Language Services Provider (LSP) based in Atlanta, GA that I founded in my basement in 2004. Our people and our work touch every continent, except Antarctica. In summary, the services we provide - translation, localization, and interpretation to name a few - enable companies to grow and succeed in the global marketplace. We’ve developed expertise in manufacturing, e-learning, software, websites, intellectual property, marketing, healthcare, education, media, and government.
