Steve Rucker is the Fire Marshal for Sandusky, Ohio.  It's a role that he's had for nearly 7 years now.  Although, Steve has been with the Sandusky Fire Department for more than 18 years.  That's nearly two decades of service, with the last ten years increasingly focused on Community Risk Reduction or CRR.  Steve's professional commitment to CRR - specifically cooking fire prevention - comes from the awareness that it can truly save lives, both among firefighters and among some of the most vulnerable residents in Sandusky - those who live in assisted housing.  And, as Steve likes to stress, being proactive when it comes to cooking fire prevention can save property owners and managers tremendous amounts of money - often in unexpected ways.
