Momentum Church Network is about moving church's forward in the Great Commission. Conversations about healthy church and church growth particularly in communities less than 100,000 and in churches smaller than 200 (although these conversations also apply to microchurches within larger churches). Pastor Scott Powell and Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene experienced a church revitalization from a church planning to close down with only 12 attending to a vibrant, growing church averaging 150 in worship on Sunday, 40-60 in their Thursday night Ragamuffin service, serving deeply within their community of 5,000 in Pratt, Kansas. This is from a pastor and church "in the trenches" speaking to churches of the dynamic cultural shift that needed to happen first and along the way.
Why do churches find themselves Motionless or stuck? This session talks about factors that hold churches back and strategies that will help mobilize the church to get into motion.
A number of constructive questions to evaluate your church in realizing her purpose in the Great Commission.
Welcome to Momentum Church Network. My name is Scott Powell, pastor of Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene in Pratt, KS. This is an introduction to the 101 Conference about moving a church forward into spiritual productivity in the context of the Great Commission. It is about moving out of the ruts that are no longer allowing growth and ministry.
