We are all about growing and learning how to best love others and ourselves.
This life is full of relationships with people, including ourselves, who are ever changing and circumstances that constantly coming our way. So, how do we learn to live and love well through all the peaks and valleys? By listening, learning, and gaining as much perspective as possible. This podcast is a place for us to do all those things together. Let's build a community that is steadfast in truth and love. Finding a fulfilled life learning to be a little better and a lot more together.
In today's episode I got a chance to sit down with my friend Morgan to hear his story (for the first time!) of becoming a believer in Jesus from atheism, then agnosticism, and ultimately what he calls a "slow boil" to full faith in Christ. He takes time to describe the hopelessness he experienced in believing you have to cultivate strength and answers for the ups and downs of life on your own. Morgan also shares the sweet stories of how God used his heart for nurturing children and teens in his community to show supernatural redemption and love. Ultimately, we get to hear a story of hope, deep abiding peace, and how God fulfilled needs that Morgan, and most of us, spent a good chunk of the first part of his life trying to satiate. To finish out our first ever series we sat down to talk about SUSTAINING FRIENDSHIPS. Melissa shares with us her experience in what goes into maintaining friendships for decades, challenges she's face, and the joys that long- term friendships yield. Not two friendships are the same, but the heart for the people in our lives can be a common thread to motivate us to work on the relationships that come into our lives and feel like "lifers".

Stephanie is a mother, but in more ways than you may assume. Stephanie's second oldest daughter, Blake, was lost to a genetic disease at 10 months old... Stephanie didn't birth her fourth daughter, Everly... And she and her husband have taken on the responsibility as foster parents for children who need the love and safety they provide.
In this episode we talk about what it looks like to walk through the worst, how we can better walk alongside those grieving, and how even after tragedy there is good to do and ways to move forward.
Throughout the episode Stephanie also shares resources and ways we can help in the fight to cure SMA, support foster kids/ parents, and some good information for anyone interested helping or looking into becoming foster parents.

In this episode we talk in depth about how to go about moving along or journey and walking with others in theirs with grace and with relationship as the priority over being "right" or being better than. It is a moving and motivating conversation in the realm of being better to those we love! With the world reopening again we are all having to get back into the habit of keeping our calendars in check. This week family time, work, and fun are all topics we talk about making time for. "Busy" isn't the goal, but intentional management in order to spend quality time in whatever we feel is worthy of the precious time we have.

In this weeks episode Tong talks about healing, learning, and a new approach living to community. If you have been hurt by people you were in community with and need hope, we hope this conversation bring hope and a new perspective. He takes us into his understanding of how our expectations of others, especially leaders, and the disappointment that comes with being in human relationships can be detrimental to the transformation Jesus wants for us. We KNOW that part of caring for our bodies is exercising, but what if extreme aesthetic results aren't an indicator of how healthy you are? What if you could FEEL healthy EVEN IF you don't fit a size small or lift as heavy as WhOeVer. This week I just thought I did a lot of work to find best practices that keep aid discipline, so hopefully some of this helps and you get their quicker!
At the end of this short and sweet chat is a preview for next Tuesday's episode with Tong Pineda, so stay tuned!!!

There are so many ways to call things, to call this and ways to look at it, some people call it in our work, other people call it self-help or self-development or just introspection. What I wanna talk about today is the why and also the how, some practical things that help you just even by yourself, figure out who you are and your purpose and why you are the way that you are. Something I wanna talk about is what people think of us tend to shape who we are, even if it's just who we are in a circumstance, so you may act one way with your family and you act another way with your friends, and maybe you lacked another way in your business... And I'm not saying that those settings don't have different appropriate behaviors and social constructs or whatever, but what I am saying is, this is the work to get to who you are so you can be consistently yourself in all of those places.

It's my big 3-0 today!!! I wasn't planning on releasing a full episode until June 8th, but inspiration hit and I can't resist any way to celebrate a birthday. In this episode I share 4 things that I have come to know are true and can take with me into the next decade of life.
Those things are: choosing to journey through life in love, that people matter and loving them is most important, I can't do and be everything for myself or anyone else, and that REST is an essential part of a full and growing life.
I hope you enjoy hanging with me on my birthday and have a glass of your fave beverage for me tonight!

Who in your life do you love most? Who do you go to for advice? Who comes to you? Is there a person or people who you find it really hard to relate to or love on?
Relationships are the cornerstone of life on this earth. We as humans are CREATED to live and love one another. But we would be kidding ourselves if we said it came with naturally with all people and seasons of life.
Life is far to complex for that to be the case.
I love people and believe it takes hard work and constant learning about each other and ourselves to love each other and ourselves well.
This is what our 30 minutes a week will be chock full of! I hope you have a fresh cup of coffee, maybe your settling into a drive, or both!
We are gonna get right to it: listening and learning and challenging ourselves to develop strong, vulnerable, and lasting relationships so that we can continually become a little better and a lot more together.
