Unconditioned is my journey to the Self, dedicated to my imaginary daughter, so she can receive all of her a lot more effortless than I ever did.
In this podcast, I share my reflections, breakthroughs, and life experiences as a woman, immigrant, entrepreneur, movement teacher, former people pleaser, recovering perfectionist, etc.
By pressing play, you join me in stretching beyond outdated rigid conditionings of the past and present to build bridges for our future generation to step on.
Listen to this if you have a complicated relationship with practicing gratitude and learn how to turn a robotic gratitude practice into an embodied one.
In this podcast, I share the evolution of my relationship with gratitude from a pretentious one -> a complete separation -> to now an embodied practice.
The poem mentioned in the podcast from Rilke's book of hours:
How surely gravity's law,
strong as an ocean current
takes hold of even the smallest thing
and pulls it toward the heart of the world
Each thing
each stone, blossom, child
is held in place
only we, in our arrogance,
push out beyond what we each belong to
for some empty freedom
If we surrender to earth's intelligence
we could rise up rooted, like trees
Instead, we entangle ourselves in knots of our own making.
and struggle, lonely and confused
So, like children, we begin again.
to learn from the things,
because they are in God's heart
they have never left him
This is what the things can teach us
to fall
patiently to trust our heaviness,
Even a bird has to do that
before he can fly
Thank you for tuning in and would love to stay connected with you over on my website www.hedishah.com
I felt I needed to do something to make him feel better, and whatever I knew didn't work. So I was disappointed in myself for not having a way to handle the situation better. And that took me on a roller coaster of emotions. Listen to know the full story!
In my life, I resisted momentum until the pain of not moving got so big that I was forced to move and trust that there would be a bridge there. The pain has always been the drive for me and I believe this could be the case for some of you as well. As if we only ride the momentum with pain as our fuel, lately, I wonder how it would be different if the pleasure were the fuel instead?
