13-What Do You Believe, Part 3, Purpose of the Law Galatians, 3-15-22 by Pastor David Goodson
In today’s message, we’ll see how Joshua confronted his people, exposing their hypocrisy, revealing their sin, and highlighting the consequences they face. We will also witness their response to this confrontation and the transformation that follows. Our focus will be on the shift from mere service to true sanctification, in a message titled, "From Service to Sanctification." Joshua 24:21-24 “21 And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD. 22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses. 23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel. 24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.”

Pastor Mark Trotter, excerpt for Revelation Study. 12-minutes that can change your whole perspective on life.
Revelation: Verse by Verse October 29, 2013 by Mark Trotter
The Book of Revelation has been shrouded in mystery for a good portion of the church age. Many through the centuries have even suggested that this Book of the Bible be avoided because of the depth and mystery of its symbolism.
As Pastor Mark explains in this verse by verse exposition, however, there is actually very little symbolism in the Book of Revelation, and certainly nothing that isn’t clearly understood by employing the principle of comparing Scripture with Scripture (1 Corinthians 2:13). Avoiding the study of the Book of Revelation is not an option for God’s people. To do so would cause us to forfeit the blessing promised in Revelation 1:3 for those who read and hear the words of this Book and apply what they hear to their lives!
This study will let you know… What time it is on God’s prophetic clock. How to “rightly divide” the Book of Revelation. How to interpret the last 2000 years of church history. How we know to expect a pre-tribulation rapture. How we know to expect a pre-millennial return of Christ (Second Coming), and What to expect in eternity.

Wednesday night service. Start the new year off right! Reach forth and forget the things which are in the past.
Last week in our message “The Rod of Faith” as Aaron’s rod representing truth, not only became a snake, it actually consumed the snakes conjured by the magicians of Pharaoh which were counterfeits of the truth. Through this interaction, God revealed to us that whenever the truth is presented, inevitably a lie will shortly follow. This is true in life as people interact with one another and with the scripture as well, as Satan is busy trying to discredit God to the world by twisting Biblical Truth into a lie. Thankfully because God is on the throne, in the end, truth always prevails. This week on the path to deliverance we will witness the Lord bring His might against the forces of evil as Moses and Aaron will be used by God to inflict the first plague against Egypt, in our message titled: “Bloody Waters”
Last week we had a front row seat to an interaction between God and Moses where we saw Moses try to talk his way out of being used to deliver the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage. We heard all of Moses’ excuses as to why he couldn’t do it and saw how the Lord patiently, yet sternly encouraged him to accept his calling. This morning, we’ll see Moses journey begin, in our message titled: “Steps of Faith”
Last week as we dove into chapter 3, we saw the Lord reveal Himself through a burning bush to Moses who was a shepherd in the deserts of Midian. As God compelled Moses to submit himself to be His representative to the Pharaoh of Egypt, Moses was riddled with self-doubt and trepidation. During this time of doubt, we saw God patiently make it clear that He would be doing the delivering through His power, and that the only thing God required of Moses was for him to be willing to answer: “A Call To Action”
“The Great Escape”
EGYPT is a picture of the world and sin.
PHARAOH, is a picture of Satan.
ISRAEL is a picture of the individual believers.
MOSES is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(At this point there has been complete silence between God and man for over 400 years.)
Last week in chapter 2 we witnessed the birth of Moses, his miraculous deliverance from certain death, his acceptance as an adopted child into Pharaoh’s house, his act of defiance against Egypt, his escape to Midian and the life he established in that foreign land. As the chapter came to a close, we heard the cry of the Israelites go up to God and him respond with compassion, as the stage was set for our message this morning which is titled: “Silence Broken”
What led Israel/Jacob and his family to Egypt was a desire to escape the hardships of the world. They found a very comfortable life amongst the Egyptian people until things changed into sorrow and suffering.
It is an inescapable principle of life: sin promises freedom and happiness, but in the end, it only leads to bondage and sorrow.
To set the stage of where we are going to go I want to share what Pastor Mark Trotter wrote in his Bible study titled “52 Weeks of Pursuit”.
EGYPT is a picture of the world and sin. It will consistently stand for that which is in opposition to God—and God's people. Just as Egypt held God's people in bondage in the Old Testament—it pictures the world's system that seeks to hold us in bondage in the New Testament. (Eph. 2:2)
PHARAOH, the wicked king of Egypt, is a picture of Satan, the wicked king of the world's system who exercises his will in taking God’s people captive. (2 Tim. 2:26)
ISRAEL is a picture of the individual believer. Please note that Israel is not a picture of the church! In Exodus 4:22–23, God plainly declares that “Israel is my son” and commands Moses to tell Pharaoh to “let my son go, that he may serve me.” In the New Testament, God reveals that as individual believers in Christ, we now posses the title, “son of God.” (1 John 3:2; John 1:12; Rom. 8:14) Making the proper connection between Israel and the individual believer will keep us from “wrongly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:13)—and misapplying God’s Word to our lives.
MOSES is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ, the deliverer of God's people.
Our message today is titled: “A Child is Born”
“The Great Escape”
The Book of Exodus was written around 3,500 years ago. It was authored by God through a man named Moses who we will meet in this study. The people of God through a series of events have ended up in Egypt and what started as a place of refuge at the end of the Book of Genesis, is about to become a place of bondage as we will see in our message: “From Allies to Enemies”
Some 2,740 years ago, there was a child born in Judah that would grow up to be a prophet of God. He would be educated and raised in Jerusalem, where he would serve several powerful Hebrew kings, before his untimely death.
As a prophet he was prolific and influential, not only during his time, but his prophecies have been revered in both Jewish and Christian cultures for centuries. The prophecies God revealed to him have been the most copied out of the Old Testament and when it comes to the New Testament, his book has been referenced more than any other, with a total of around 411 times.
His life-long mission was to profess the glory of God and point a sinful people to the kingdom of God and His coming judgment. While at the same time sharing the message of redemption that the Lord offered to the world and still does today.
This prophet’s Hebrew name translates “Yahweh is salvation”, but you and I know him as “Isaiah.”
This morning we will pick back up with this group of disciples as they are sitting around a campfire on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. The fire and meal were a loving example of the Lord’s provision for His friends after their long night of effort. As their interaction continues, we will see our Lord focus His attention onto one disciple in particular as He prepares this man for the great work of God that’s in his future, in our message titled: “Restoring the Broken”
Last week we were with disciples as they experienced the revelation that Jesus Christ was not only risen from the dead, but calling them to action personally, as He appeared to them in Jerusalem, in our message titled: “He Lives!”
This morning we travel to the Sea of Galilee where the Lord will appear again to His disciples, teaching them several important principles that they will need for the challenging days ahead in our message: “The fuel of failure”
