Where do you start when you're planning a holiday that needs to be accessible for a wheelchair? What questions do you need to ask hotels? And how do you make sure you’ll be able to do all the activities you want to?
For the past 22 years, Julie Jones and her family have been asking these questions.
Julie's son Braeden was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy which means he's non-verbal and uses a wheelchair. But that hasn’t stopped them travelling the world. From seeing glaciers in New Zealand to hiking Kakadu and cruising the South Pacific, they’ve seen a lot.
Julie Jones is trying to change the way we think about accessible travel and she's sharing her story with Holly...

In July 2017, Justin and Lauren Jones set off across the desert on a trek that lasted more than a hundred days. The terrain was extreme. The walk was grueling. And they took their toddler Morgan with them. Yes, their toddler. Crazy? Let's find out...
They started on the border of Western Australia and the Northern Territory and made their way down to Port Augusta in South Australia.
Justin pulled a 280kg trolley filled with nappies and water, while Lauren pulled their daughter Morgan - and tried to stop her climbing out of the cart every 5 minutes.
So how do you prepare for this? How do you know where you’re going? What do you eat? How much water do you take? How do you entertain a toddler in a small cart? We asked, and they answered.

These days Amy works from her South Coast home and is just the person to tell us whether the newly imagined working holiday - one where you’re always at your laptop - is all it’s cracked up to be.

Have you ever met a beauty queen that was more at home in a pair of gumboots than her stillettos? Leila Sweeney lives in the tiny country town of Tatyoon, where she's a textile teacher and mum to two kids that she totes around her 3000 acre farm. But when she's not being called 'mum' or 'Mrs Sweeney,' Leila has a very different title. She's also Mrs Australia. But this pageant is not at all about sparkly gowns and bikinis. It's one where this salt of the earth farm girl competed pregnant, in her old wedding dress that she dyed herself. It's a platform she uses to campaign for the big issues that matter to farmers. From educating city folk about where the food comes from, to advocating for mental health in rural communities.

Someone pass Penny McNamee a hot water bottle and a coffee. Because Summer Bay may look idyllic, but in winter, 3am wake up calls and shooting in the freezing water is a whole other story.
As Home and Away's loveliest doctor, Tori Morgan, the 34-year-old is juggling acting work with wrangling her toddler Jack. But she's in good company: joining a small cohort of working mums on-set, including the show's producers. From madly fake tanning after Jack's gone to bed to learning lines between moments, and never committing to a catch up when you run into a friend, her life advice is funny, fresh, and frankly brilliant.
Hear about the app that changed her life, why she never read any parenting books, and the non-negotiables with her husband and home life.

You might know her as 'Glinda the Good Witch' in Wicked. Lucy Durack is the princess of Australian musical theatre. She played Glinda up until she was five months pregnant and suffered morning sickness throughout which led to her running off stage, sometimes seven times a performance, just to vomit.
But she almost didn't get there at all after being told she'd never make it in musical theater. So, she did a semester of a law degree, packed her bags, and moved home to Perth before deciding to give it one last shot. Now, she's just like the rest of us struggling to get her two-year-old to eat vegetables.

Kate Darvill lives an incredibly fashionable life. It just takes a bloody lot of work to get there. With four children under four, that's a lot of sticky fingers on your designer threads. Kate shares how motherhood made her better at her job, how she gets four kids to bed and the secret to kid-proof dressing (hint: it involves a lot of black and baby wipes.) And yes, she shares a glimpse inside the glamorous world of the Vogue offices. It's voyeurism at its most stylish.

She is a well-known Australian who is referred to by just one name kind of like Madonna or Kylie. She is Poh! The cheeky and creative cook stole our hearts in the very first MasterChef 8 years ago and has since written cookbooks, a children's book, hosted TV shows, and opened her Adelaide based bakery, Jamface.
In this episode of I Don't Know How She Does It Poh talks about not having a routine, her guilt over having a cleaner, how her makeup routine changed after turning forty, the concept of living life in slow-mo, and what the Masterchef judges are really like.

With 24 gold medals to her name and a bunch of broken world records, Libby Trickett is adored by Australia. But when she hung up the goggles in 2009, it wasn't the last we saw of the swimmer. She hit the pool again, then retired a second time, and instead of slowing down, she sped up. She gave birth to a baby girl, Poppy, but things got tough. Libby shares how she lost her identity as a new mother, struggled with her career ending and how she eventually discovered that the only way to make it through, was just to get back in that water. This is no ordinary I Don’t Know How She Does It. It’s a beautiful reminder that the people who look like they have it all together, are often just as lost as the rest of us. But you can always pull yourself back up.

Ellyse Perry is kicking goals. Literally. At 16-years-old, she debuted for the Australian women's national soccer team. And she tore up the field. But it seems an international football career intermingled with high school education wasn't enough on the adrenaline front... because within weeks, Ellyse also debuted for the Australian cricket team. What were you doing at 16? I bet it wasn't representing your country in two sports at an International level. Now married, and at the absolute peak of her sporting career, Ellyse and her Australian Wallaby husband Matt Toomua have decided to open a coffee shop. Because why not.

When Gemma Sisia got on a plane, leaving the family farm for Africa, she thought she would go on safari, do some volunteering and return home to Australia. Instead, she fell in love. With Africa, with its people and with a man. Inspired to help the people of Tanzania, Gemma founded a private school with just $10 and three students. From there, St Jude's has grown to educate more than 1800 African children and many have gone on to study law, medicine and engineering. Now a mum to four Gemma shares what day-to-day life looks like in Africa - a country that resembles a simpler time, where kids are raised by a community, weekends are spent camping with lions and tigers and 'screen-time' is a foreign concept.

Imagine doing all that, with only one arm to pull on your jeans, pour a bowl of cereal and wrangle a wriggling toddler, Jessica Smith Paralympian swimmer, a children's book author, a speaker and a staunch advocate for positive body image. Jess answers every question we have about how she gets things done, from how she learned to love her body to how she changes a dirty nappy and cares for her beautiful daughter Ayla.

Canna Campbell is good at money. Real good. And she wants other women to get good at it too. The financial planner and single mum behind the website sugarmama.tv talks starting her own business, nailing mornings, and how she saved $32,000 in a year by making tiny, tiny changes to her life. Canna proves that financial advice doesn't have to be all unsexy scrimping and fusty frugality; you just have to take control of your pay wave and get smart about savings.
This episode will have you jumping out of bed at 5am, paying for things with cash, and looking at money very differently.

Sallyanne Atkinson never set out to be a feminist trailblazer, she just refused to let conventions and expectations stop her from doing what she wanted to do. When things got tough, the mother of five just got on with it. Caught in a council meeting? Tell them you're leaving at five to put dinner on. Need to get the kids vaccinated? Do it at night. Brisbane's first female Lord Mayor talks juggling her political career with three children under two and a quarter, getting sacked for being pregnant, and being called Tinkerbell by her political opponent. Sallyanne has three quarters of a century of wisdom and countless years of experience in the business, politics and journalism spheres. And now, she's sharing the things she thinks all young women should know.

How does the RedBalloon founder do it all? By being a shark - at the top of Australia's business food chain. She's a entrepreneur, author, mentor, judge on Channel 10's Shark Tank, blogger, speaker an influencer with more than 1.5 million Linked In followers and a mother. Notoriously private about her home life, the Red Shark provides a glimpse into the early days of RedBalloon when she had 9 employees sandwiched in her front room and the kids at work blowing up balloons. She shares why she doesn't get mum guilt and why she doesn't care if her children are happy. It sounds harsh, but it makes perfect sense.

This episode was our most popular of 2016 so we're bringing it back for a summer revival.
It's been a big year for I Don't Know How She Does It. The show was named one of iTunes' classic podcasts of 2016. But it's also been a big year for Bec Judd, who recently gave birth to twin boys. She's a woman who wears a heck of a lot of hats. From mother, to business owner, to weather presenter to model, Rebecca Judd has a lot going on. She's also one of the most down-to-earth people there is.
In this frank and interesting interview, Rebecca Judd talks to Holly Wainwright about how she gets everything done, and still has time for family time in the Judd spa after a days work.

The Collingwood AFL player, tennis coach and mother of six-year-old Will lives and breathes sport, but as a 12-year-old, her dream to play football was smashed when she was told, like every other girl, that she could no longer play with the boys. Now, Kate finally has the opportunity to play professionally as one of the only mums to hit the field in the upcoming AFL Women's League. And she has some lessons for us all about how to handle the juggle of competition and parenthood.

Tara Moss is a towering, lipsticked powerhouse of a woman. An extensively-travelled journalist, TV presenter, Unicef ambassador, she's also the author of 11 bestselling books, a mum to a 5-year-old daughter, and she's currently completing her PhD.
So how does she do it all?
The key, she says, is being adaptable. Working smarter. Not sticking to traditional gender roles. Setting goals, and working towards them slowly. And never trying to do it all at once: just doing tiny bits at a time that slowly add up.

The fitness guru has made a career out of seemingly doing it all. She's a personal trainer, the author of 13 books, a star of Channel Ten's The Biggest Loser and mum to baby Axel. So it's no surprises that Holly Wainwright grabbed her to ask: HOW DO YOU DO IT? While she claims it's all smoke and mirrors, we don't really believe it. Michelle talks life with Steve, the myth of having it all, how she drags herself up off the couch when her whole body is telling her not to, and whether or not she will let Axel eat paddle pops.

Keiran is a fire-fighter, married to another fire-fighter, raising a daughter. So how does she juggle life-risking work with the school drop-off? Via a very, very organised Excel document. Every work shift, every sports game, every birthday invite goes onto the spreadsheet or it doesn't happen. Kieran can tell you exactly what's happening in her family on any given day of this year or next. And she also has a few things to share about the risks firefighters would never have in their homes. "I mean I want to go to swimming lessons, I want to go to gymnastics, I want to be that mum. I don't want to go 'pass you off and you can go with the nanny'. That's not how I want to be a mum."
