Through personal reflections and scientific insights, I’ll share some fresh perspective on navigating uncertain times with curiosity and possibility.
We’ll discuss:

This episode is a story about a community that is part fiction, part vision and part emerging reality.
It's about a tranquil town called New Beyond, whose residents all share a common vision and intention: that is to discover, develop and express their daimon, or what the Romans called genius.
It's a story about what's possible when human beings come together in community to elevate themselves and each other to their level of genius and mastery.
And in truth, it's a story about a membership community I've already created called Leveling Up in The New Beyond.
It's also an invitation to you, dear listener, to join us and become a member of this vibrant community.

Here's what one of our members writes:
Being in a community of like-minded folks whose common intention is pointed towards stretching their personal development is great. Having that community led by Dr. Judith Rich? Now THAT is Leveling up.
I've had the privilege of working with Judith in various Leadership programs over the last several years and the focused and intentional experience in Leveling up in the New Beyond is just that, leveling up. It's just the right balance of group sessions, community content and the opportunity to engage - at a group level, in smaller power teams and of course with Judith herself.
Can't wait to see where my next level leads me!

Did you ever feel like you didn't fit in? Like you didn't belong?
I grew up feeling that way...... in my own family! I always wondered who were these people and why was I with them? And this was my own family. At least on paper. But it never felt that way in real life.
This episode is very personal to me. It's my own story of searching for my people and where I belonged.
And what I learned about belonging after years and years of doing transformational work.
And it's about why I am committed to creating communities that nurture people finding themselves and creating their own belonging,
I've recently created a membership community called: Leveling Up in The New Beyond. We've completed our Founding Members launch and the doors are currently closed to new members, but when they open again for people to join as General Members, I hope you will consider joining us. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, here's what's currently available in The New Beyond:

Democracy is under threat all over the world today.
Here in the United States, we are keenly aware of the dangers of losing our system of government with our democratic system on the line in the upcoming elections.
This issue transcends politics. It’s not about right or left, conservative or liberal. It’s about preserving the very foundation upon which our country was founded.
This is why I’ve invited my guest this week, Peggy O’Neal, to join me as we have a conversation about what’s at stake and what we need to do as citizens to become active participants, in the process, not just bystanders.
Peggy has been coaching leaders in multi-national organizations throughout the world for more than 30 years.
She is a Certified Integral Master Coach and the author of two chapters in the Handbook of Personal and Organizational Transformation, the first book on cutting-edge theory and practice on small- and large-scale transformation.
Prior to becoming a transformational leadership coach, Peggy practiced law for 12 years. She earned her J.D. from the Univ. of Arkansas, where she served as an Assistant Attorney General and served in President Clinton’s administration in the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
In 2023, Peggy established Unite for Democracy, a grass-roots nonpartisan nonprofit mass involvement initiative dedicated to inviting all citizens to participate in the reshaping of democracy for a bright America.
Its purpose is to ensure that the United States of America remains a democracy and does not fall into a dictatorship.
Its-of-a-kind educational events are designed to be welcoming and uplifting, helping everyday Americans find their voices and ways of participation that align with their perspectives, passions, and schedules.
Through inclusive “neighborhood” gatherings, both online and in-person, Unite for Democracy facilitates discussions among millions, encouraging dialogue not merely about what’s not working, but about the nation we long for, and know in our hearts is possible.
Join us as we discuss the importance of each of us as citizens becoming actively engaged in the democratic process if we want to preserve our system of government.
By supporting individuals to actualize their democratic ideals, UFD aims to instill democracy as an energizing way of life.
Democracy is indeed, an inside job!

This episode was inspired by a podcast interview between Brene Brown and her guest, Amy Web, on the Unlocking Us podcast in which they discuss the impact of the accelerating pace of change and transformation taking place in the world today.
They refer to us as Gen T- which is everyone living on the planet during this time of rapid change, a time which cannot be defined by a the number of years, as this change is continuous, ongoing, and no one knows where or how it will resolve itself.
This idea inspired me to do this episode, in which I explore the potential of being a part of Gen T, (I'll explain more specifically what the "T" stands for in the episode).
As Gen T, we are the ones here, navigating the gap between what used to be, and no longer is, and what is becoming, but isn't yet.
Feeling overwhelmed? No wonder!
We are the ones being faced with massive amounts of change that our nervous systems were not designed to manage.
We'll unpack the tasks before us now, what kinds of skill sets and behaviors we must adapt to, and adopt, in order to successfully thrive in this time.
Ironically, whatever it is that we are moving towards, I call that The New Beyond. It's what this podcast, and my book, Beyond the Box are about.
Who do we need to become as everything we ever thought we knew or relied upon is slowly (or rapidly) being dismantled?
Tune in, as take on the conversation and tackle the journey together.

Have you ever experienced the worst thing that ever happened in your life turning out to be the best thing and a blessing?
My guest this week, Rhema Flowers, has authored a chapter in the book, The Turnaround: How the Worst Thing Became the Best Thing.
In this episode, she shares the three main takeaways she learned while going through a very difficult time in her life with the loss of her beloved older sister and how that experience inspired her to create and live the life of her dreams.
Rhema is a vibrant, multi-passionate entrepreneur living her dream life on the island of Maui, where she runs a Wellness Center, teaches yoga, and hosts luxury retreats. But her life didn’t always look or feel like a dream life.
Prior to moving to Maui, Rhema worked in the corporate world as a marketing director and, like many people who work in the corporate world, she experienced stress and burn-out and felt there was something more she needed to do with her life.
Around this time, Rhema discovered yoga, and has never looked back. She became a yoga instructor and a partner in a yoga studio in Los Angeles. She went to visit Maui at the beginning of the pandemic, with no thought of staying. But the magic of Maui grabbed her soul and shortly thereafter, she made Maui her home.
Rhema is passionate about her vision and mission to inspire, empower and enroll women into their own vision of a healthy, vibrant, energetic lifestyle. She believes that the healing of the planet will be greatly influenced and made possible through the efforts of women and her calling is to help women build a healthy foundation for living the lives they want.
To that end, Rhema offers goddess-oriented wellness retreats on Maui where women can come to unwind, reset and balance their bodies, minds and spirits. Her next retreat offering is in May. Look for a link in the show notes for more information about attending.
Join us as Rhema shares about how Maui is recovering from the recent fires and devastation and the importance of helping to sustain and bring the “Aloha” energy of the island in our everyday lives.

In this time of rapid change and transformation, at times, you might have felt awash in emotions, feelings, body, or other issuesthat threatened to hijack your ability to function normally.
Welcome to the club! You are not alone! Many of us are right there with you!
Fortunately, there is a way out! My guest this week is Cindy Shumaker, also known as the "Calming Engineer".
Cindy Shumaker is a Certified eutaptics® Advanced Practitioner. Her expertise is in the field of neuroplasticity, particularly in navigating the complexities of grief and loss, which are often referred to as "life's unwanted changes."
Cindy shares about her journey of introspection and deepening that began in her teens when she struggled with the debilitating effects of anxiety, low self-esteem, and health challenges brought on by worry and perfectionism, endemic to young teen girls. Her issues created a health crisis that took her to the hospital. She has had chronic stomach issues throughout her life as a result.
This experience set her out on a lifelong journey of self-discovery to end this cycle because she was convinced that the mind-body connection held the key to finding solutions.
After overcoming her own struggles, Cindy became passionate about empowering others to become their own superheroes.
She spent 3 years training to become a certified eutaptics® Advanced Practitioner. You might be familiar with the modality of EFT (Emotional Freedom Tapping) This is one of the 75 modalities Cindy uses in her work.
Her online platform, "Calming Your Inner Storm, One Thought at a Time," serves as a beacon of hope for those seeking comfort and guidance during life's storms.

Any extroverts in the house?
I'm guessing "yes", since chances are good, if you follow this podcast, you likely are an extrovert or at least have those tendencies.
I used to be one too, but today, I consider myself a "Chilled-Out Extrovert", a seeming contradiction, I know. Because my experience is that those old tendencies are still in me and every so often they burst forth in a frenzy of activity that takes my breath away. Literally!
Couple that with my Aries moon, having recently been eclipsed while in Mercury retrograde, and you get some mighty energy going on.
So this episode is for and about extroverts, those who love them, live with them, or otherwise have to deal with them ... (which is pretty much everyone!)
There are some things I've realized over the years about being extroverted and how to best manage all that need to be in charge
It's a funny thing about us extroverts: we give the impression that we love to be surrounded by people and activities all the time.
We're generally viewed as the "life of the party" people, the ones with our fingers always on the pulse of what's new, hip, happening and what's next.
But here's a little "secret" about us: it's not that we love to be surrounded at all times, it's that we need to be. And therein, lies the problem.
Join me as I unpack my own experience of dealing with the shreds and shards of extroversion that still cling to my personality, even at this “mature” age of 82! And what it costs me!
What is it that REALLY drives extroverts to seek all that attention? What has us REALLY need to be in charge, manage, lead and direct whatever parade we’re marching in?
You might take notes if you’re an extroverted type as we dive into the dynamics of what’s really going on inside all that activity and best of all….. what is the antidote!
And extroverts, what have you found to be effective ways to deal with your own extroverted, burned-out status when you’ve crossed the line?
Come join us in the Living in The New Beyond Facebook group and share your own “secrets to being a chilled-out extrovert”, if there is such a thing! We are all ears!!

Welcome to the 100th episode of The New Beyond!
As many of you know, I began this podcast a little over 2 years ago as a kind of legacy project for my 80th birthday.
And we’re now 2 years and 100 episodes down the road and I’m still here! And so are you! And this community has grown and I’m celebrating that with all of you.
Recently, I surveyed the people who regularly listen to this podcast and among other things, I inquired : “what are the biggest challenges in your life right now”?
Over half of you indicated among your biggest challenge are issues around purpose, and direction. What is my purpose and where am I going? What's next in my life?
So, there's a lot of uncertainty about what your life is about. And why wouldn’t that be the case?
For those of you who are looking to launch or relaunch your life, to invent or reinvent yourself, let’s not lose sight of the fact that you are doing this in an era of endless change and upheaval.
There is an interesting quote from Alan Watts that I posted on the LITNB FB page:
“There is a contradiction in wanting to be perfectly secure in a universe whose very nature is momentariness and fluidity.”
And I think we could also say:
"There is a contradiction in wanting to be certain in a universe whose very nature is that of uncertainty.”
The question that arises, what can I do? What am I supposed to do with my life when It's taking place inside such instability and change and upheaval?
Join me as I address the following:
Together we have work to do. And I am here to support you.
For those who indicated in your survey response that you’re interested in working with me either 1:1 in private coaching, or in a group, please contact me at: judith@judithrich.com or message me on Facebook Messenger.
Tell me what you’re interested in and let’s put together a plan that meets your needs.

Full disclosure- Alicia is my assistant and has supported me in the production of this podcast for the better part of the past year.
During this past year, Alicia’s pregnancy was a common topic of our discussions. We delighted in talking about the journey of pregnancy, motherhood, and all that it calls forth for a woman. It was impossible not to share her excitement around the coming birth.
However, at 39 weeks into her pregnancy and expecting to give birth at any moment, Alicia she got the news that her first born was going to be a stillbirth.
To lose her baby at full term was not only an unexpected and shocking turn of events, it surfaced some very deep and existential questions that Alicia and her husband had to address. What happened? What went wrong? Why did this happen?
In a shocking scenario from which it would seem impossible to find anything to be grateful for, Alicia dives deep to share the gifts came to light through this tragedy.
In her experience of processing this loss, Alicia found beauty in grieving and learned that pain does not have to lead to suffering. She learned that her capacity to love was far deeper than she imagined. She learned that it not only takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a village to mourn the loss of one, and that one can leave a legacy without even taking a breath.
While the subject is sensitive and involves grief and loss, I think you’ll be uplifted and inspired by the way Alicia, her husband Johnny, their families, and their community have been present to the fullness of this experience and how they’ve grown from it.
As we recorded this episode, it had only been a month, to the day, that Alicia and her husband lost their baby. Yet she was clear and grounded as she talked. Her heart has been opened by this experience and she has awakened at a whole new level.
While this journey is, on the surface, about the end of something, it is also about the promise of a new beginning. Tune in and learn what that new beginning might be.

In this week’s episode, I tackle the subject of positive thinking and why I am not a fan.
My point of view is that there is no such thing as positive thinking. There is only thinking. Thoughts are neither positive nor negative. They’re just thoughts.
I further suggest there are no positive or negative feelings. There are only feelings. Following this line of thought, I further suggest there are no positive choices or positive results. There are only choices and results.
I’m also not anti-positive thinking. I’m merely pointing out that I think we’re not looking at the whole picture when we talk about positive/negative thinking.
Remember, in The New Beyond, we are in a context that is outside the norm, or Beyond the Box, so to speak. Positive thinking lies inside the box of conventional approaches to dealing with difficult and challenging experiences and emotions.
So what’s the point?
I contend that positive thinking is a form of spiritual bypassing, which is an approach that uses spiritual explanations to dismiss or avoid dealing with complicated emotions or psychological issues. It’s a form of “magical thinking” that placates the ego, but changes nothing.
Tune in as we unpack this subject and learn:

My guest this week is Lisa Kalmin. We have been colleagues in the business of transformation and leadership development for many decades. She is also a mindset coach, speaker, corporate trainer and at the age of 51 became the mother of twin boys!
For the past 35 years, Lisa has coached and trained over 25,000 people in the principles and techniques to transform their lives.
In this week’s episode, Lisa and I take on the subject of the Bad Ass Woman (BAW).
What exactly is a BAW? What are her challenges?
How did this term go from being one that referred to men who were considered “tough” and even “bullies” like Clint Eastwood and Chuck Norris, to a feminist rallying cry for empowered women like Oprah Winfrey, Annie Lennox, Joni Mitchell, Taylor Swift, and even you and me.
We discuss the influence of Pluto being in the sign of Aquarius for the next 20 years and the implications of the kinds of shifts that will occur. This is a collective event that affects all of us. Not just women, but humanity.
What are the “ground rules” for being a badass? (You really want to hear them!)
And how can a woman be grounded and centered in her Divine Feminine self, and also be a Badass?
How does she juggle the demands of today’s world, family and career responsibilities and still be true to herself?
And you really want to hear Lisa’s definition of a Badass Woman! (Take notes!)
Are YOU a BAW? If you think not, tune in. You might just change your mind!
Lastly, one thing a BAW does is, she asks for what she wants and is willing to receive it.
On that note, this BAW would like nothing more than for you to share this episode with other BAW and even write a review or give us some stars (5 please!). There! I said it! And thank you!

In Part 2 of The Hardest Thing episode begun a couple of weeks ago, we take a deeper dive into why it's so difficult to be in the present moment.
I encourage you to listen to Part 1 before listening to this episode, where we lay out the foundational premise of this conversation.
This week, we pick up where we left off and explore what is truly meant by the terms "Trust and Surrender", and why they are so hard to do, especially when we don't like or don't want what is happening in the present moment.
What does it mean to "surrender"?
If you surrender, are you stuck there?
What does acceptance mean?
If you accept the present moment, are you giving up? Giving in?
If you stopped resisting what is, what becomes available to you that is not available inside your resistance?
These are the questions we'll explore as we unpack how to navigate the hardest thing we'll ever do.
And please be sure to weigh in with your experience in the "interact" function. Look for the prompt, "What did you think of this episode" and let me know what lands for you, what new awareness opens up for you, and what you see possible for yourself.
And while you're at it, if you haven't already, please take a moment to follow, rate, review and share this episode with others. This is how we find our audience. Thank you so much for your support!

It’s Aquarius season here in The New Beyond and that means it’s also birthday season. As a double Aquarian, (sun & rising signs), I am about to celebrate my 82nd birthday.
So, this week’s episode is a bit self-indulgent, if you will allow, as I reflect on being in my 80’s as an Aquarian being, which is anything but ordinary.
We are living in extraordinary times, and I think it takes great courage to be a human being on the planet right now. As an 82 year-old, I am so far from the typical profile of someone my age. And yet, I know that it is just a number. What really matters is how we make the years count while we’re here. I’ll share about that in this episode.
In this episode, I drop a bit of astrology on you. I am not an astrologer, but Aquarius is the sign of astrology, so I have a keen interest.
I discuss some background on what is happening now astrologically, that impacts every one of us, not just Aquarians. We are entering a 20-year cycle of gigantic upheaval, leading to a major shift in paradigms.
We are literally, heading into the Aquarian Age, which I equate to The New Beyond.
When I received the name of this podcast two years ago, I did not consciously connect the dots between these two. But it’s now clear to me, this is what it is. The New Beyond IS the Age of Aquarius and it is fitting and proper that this podcast represents that consciousness.
If you’ll further indulge me, at the end of this episode, I share a piece of my writing about why I came to the planet. I hope you can hear yourself in there, and find something in it that resonates for you.
Thank you for coming along on this journey with me for the past two years. I ask for one more indulgence: the BEST birthday gift you could give me…….. please leave a review on Apple if you find this podcast worth listening to. It makes a difference, it really does!

Get ready to be inspired!
My guest this week, M. Teresa Lawrence, who has one of the most inspiring stories I’ve heard in a very long time.
She is an award-winning author, international speaker, and leadership coach. She is the founder and president of the Trueness Project, a non-profit dedicated to empowering children and adults to cherish their imagination and own their power to write their own narratives.
Hear the amazing story of how Teresa and her family came to the U.S. as Cuban refugees after her father was put in prison for being “an enemy of the state”. After they secured his release, they were able to get to Spain, where her father finalized his credentials and became a pediatrician.
Teresa’s book, Gloriousness, was inspired by her grandmother, who was a master storyteller and knew the power of story. Before they left Cuba, her grandmother knew that Teresa was going to go through a lot of terrifying experiences. So, she gave Teresa a doll, and counseled her, “Whatever happens to you, keep sharing your stories with this doll, and make sure that whatever stories you tell, the outcome will always be glorious.”
And with that, Teresa and her family finally were able to leave Cuba and go to Spain, where she continued to tell her stories to the doll.
Many years later, today as a former refugee, Teresa has witnessed the horror being perpetrated on children who are caught up in war zones and border disputes and felt she had to do something for them. This led to write her book, Gloriousness, a story about a little girl who always manages to find a glorious ending to her life experiences no matter how challenging they are.
As part of her mission today, through her non-profit, The Trueness Project, Teresa is donating her award-winning transformational children’s book to disadvantaged children throughout the world. In 2023, she traveled to Kenya as part of a group dedicated to supporting the education of children, and spoke before thousands of children and educators, giving away copies of her book to all of them.
She was invited to return to Kenya in December, 2023, and was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the Kenyan government for her work with the children there.
As if this weren’t enough, Teresa is presently working on the Grand Butterfly Gathering scheduled for June 29,2024 where her nonprofit the Trueness Project will host the largest number of people dressed as butterflies in history both in person and virtually.
A world record will be set, and a joyous community of change makers will make a statement dressed as butterflies that they stand for a world filled with community, creativity and love.
If you’ve always wanted to dress up like a butterfly and it isn’t Halloween, learn how you can get involved in the Grand Butterfly Project. Teresa is looking for “Butterfly Captains”. You can be a part of creating this world record!
In addition, if you’ve always wanted to be an author, be in a TV documentary, and travel to Costa Rica, holding light for the planet, there is still time to get in on her Butterfly Sanctuary Retreat offering, Feb.19-25. Link is below for more information.

This is the first part of at least two parts in this important discussion. Stay tuned for part 2 and perhaps more.
What is the hardest thing you’ll ever do? Can you imagine?
Perhaps you look back at your past and contemplate about all the hard things you’ve already done. You might reflect on getting through hard things you didn’t think you could do. Perhaps how you got through that experience might inform you about how you’d approach other hard things in your life.
You might think of relationship or career challenges, health or finance challenges. You might think of challenges related to being a parent, a wife, husband, or finding the right person to spend your life with.
But for all the things that might occur to you as the hardest things you’ve ever done, you will likely not land on the actual hardest thing you can possibly do. For it isn’t any of the above.
Join me as I explore the hardest thing for a human being to do, given our human nature. Given that we have personalities, fears, likes, dislikes, preferences, opinions, and a need to feel in control, the hardest thing we’ll ever do does not involve lifting a finger. It’s much deeper and harder than what it appears to be.
I will teach you a practice to support you engaging with your hardest thing. So, listen all the way to the end.
Here, in the show notes, is an opportunity to engage with me about this episode. I would love it if you would weigh in on what you thought of it, ask any questions, and share what came up for you in response to the practice I suggested, or as you listened.
As always, you are the reason I do this podcast. If it matters to you and you would like to support it to find new listeners, please, please, please take a moment to rate, follow and review. It really does help people find us! And I am ever grateful for your support.

More likely than not, you’ve heard of the term “toxic masculinity”.
The term, and the condition to which it refers, has permeated American culture, but is certainly not limited to the U.S. What we call “toxic masculinity today”, has been a dominant part of cultures world-wide for millennia.
Popular and media discussions have used the term to refer to traditional and stereotypical norms of masculinity and manhood. According to the sociologist Michael Flood, these include "expectations that boys and men must be active, aggressive, tough, daring, and dominant".
These traits are considered "toxic" due in part to their promotion of violence, including sexual assault and domestic violence. Socialization of boys sometimes also normalizes violence, such as in the saying "boys will be boys" about bullying and aggression.
My guest this week, Aaron Glassman, believes that in addition to its devastating effects on females, toxic masculinity has also thwarted men’s ability to thrive physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Aaron is committed to supporting men in removing this toxic conditioning so they can access their “deep masculine presence” and thus create deeper, more intimate relationships with their partners, release disempowering habits, tap into their higher frequencies, and bring ecstatic pleasure to their partners.
Join us in this important conversation where Aaron unpacks the prices both men and women pay for this cultural condition and his approach for beginning to untangle and resolve the issue. You might be surprised at who he says will pay a key role is shifting this paradigm.
To that end, beginning in January, Aaron will be launching his three month group, GentleMAN, an initiation into a most powerful union with the Divine Masculine presence and an opportunity for men to bond with other conscious men to inspire and uplift each other. See link below for information on how to register.

We’re born into it. We spend our entire life in it. We wouldn’t get very far without it.
In fact, we wouldn’t survive without it.
And yet, many women spend their lives cursing it, blaming it, shaming it judging it, mistreating it, starving it, overfeeding it, rejecting it, disconnecting from it.
What is going on with women and their bodies?
Shedding light and bringing wisdom to this conversation is my guest this week, yoga therapist, Brandee Safran.
Brandee comes by her interest in this subject out of her own experience of being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 14 and spending much of her teenage years suffering from painful attacks caused by the inflammation of the disease. It launched her into a spiritual path and led to her discover of yoga in 1988.
She has pioneered many programs for helping women heal and recover from digestive and pelvic floor issues and tuning in to the body’s wisdom to take full ownership of their health, freedom and joy so they can create a legacy to be proud of.
In this episode, we talk about the ancestral, cultural and collective issues women focus on their bodies, how early the rejection and shaming begins, how being disconnected from her body impacts a woman’s ability to be intimate and have satisfying sexual and emotional relationships.
We discuss the importance of women gathering, how sharing their stories and feeling heard, seen and held in a loving and supportive environment with other women is a step on the path to healing and becoming whole.
In this regard, together, Brandee and I are co-hosting a women’s retreat, The Way of Wisdom, live in San Diego, CA on Jan. 18-21, 2024.
We share about the purpose and opportunity for women who feel called to join us and enter into a healing experience of being seen, held and honored.
This retreat is for the woman who:
· Is always there for others, but rarely takes time for herself
· Is hungry in her heart to feel her own love
· Is ready to come home to her deepest, wisest, truest self

Welcome to a new season of The New Beyond! And Happy New Year!
This is the beginning of our 5th season and as we begin this New Year, I’m thinking about how what we think of as “time” does not exist.
In truth, time is a human construct. There is no such thing as “time” as we know it. Humans have arbitrarily divided eternity into segments and called them seconds, hours, days, weeks, etc. But in fact, measured time is only a part of our human reality and does not exist in the unified field of the cosmos.
We humans apparently need this concept of measured time in order to manage our minds and organize our lives. So we proceed with our calendars, clocks and watches and spend much of our time planning for what has yet to happen. And then, life happens, and much of the time, it had nothing to do with what we planned.
In this episode, we’ll talk about Chronos and Kairos time, and the importance of being aware that what we think of as eternity is right now, right here, right where we are. Eternity is not some time in the future.
Eternity is now. We are living in the Eternal Now. The New Beyond takes place in the consciousness of The Eternal Now.
See if you can get your mind wrapped around that and join us as we dive into this first chapter of The Eternal Now in The New Beyond.

As we complete this year, I wanted to leave you with a gift.
So I created a meditation to invite you to look back upon this year, consider it’s challenges and gifts and be grateful for it all. Regardless of the content of your experiences.
It has all been for your growth, for your learning, even the parts you didn’t like or didn’t want. Even the parts that caused you pain. See if you can hold them as gifts, and in time, you will receive the lessons they brought you.
It’s also an invitation to look ahead and consider all the new possibilities that await you in the new year, set your intentions, goals and dreams for who you want to be, what you want to do and what you want to create.
Thank you for being part of my journey this past year, here in The New Beyond. I look forward to seeing where the new year takes us.
May you be abundantly blessed,

As this year comes to a close, are you finishing strong?
Have you completed what you set out to do? Or have you left a lot of "open loops"?
“Open loops” is another way of saying “unfinished business”.
Do you have a lot of unfinished business in your life? Even a little bit can sabotage you. So let’s get serious about “closing those loops”, completing your unfinished business and finishing this year strong.
The best way to do that is to operate from “Completion Energy” and that’s what we’re talking about on the podcast this week.
You may think this is not all that important. How many things have you begun and then, for whatever reason; you got distracted, lost interest, changed your mind, got scared, decided you weren’t capable, not ready, or something else became more important…… whatever your story is for not bringing that thing into completion, this story is what stands between your ability to manifest the things you say you want in your life. Things like:
Abundance, Success, Fulfillment, Power, Creativity, Aliveness, Health and more.
When we have unfinished business in our lives, incompletions or open loops, we are not a solid container through which to channel our power to create.
We become like a piece of Swiss cheese or a sieve. We are a “leaky container”. We leak our power, courage, our trust, and belief in ourselves. And therefore, we become less capable and less effective when it comes to manifesting the things we say that matter.
Join me in this deep dive into what is really going on underneath all our reasons and excuses for not following through and the prices that we pay for our incompletions.
Those prices add up and over time, we end up settling for a life that does not reflect our highest dreams and aspirations and which does not provide us the quality we most desire.
In this episode, I’ll give you a strategy to support you breaking the logjam of indecision and help you get started on closing those open loops.
Let's finish this year strong, refreshed and ready to take on a New Year!!!

3-31 From Blind Spot to BFO
What is it about blind spots that can often derail us?
When something arises to which we were previously blind, it always shows up like a shock with a visceral, physical, emotional, or psychological impact. And it is often not something that lands gently.
And here’s the thing: everyone has them. Even the most brilliant minds in the world have blind spots.
In this episode, we’re going to examine the phenomenon of blind spots and how they keep us from being as effective as we might want to be in areas of our lives like career and relationships.
Tune in as we explore how something can go from being in our “blind” area, to being a BFO. Wonder what that is? You’ll learn about BFO’s in this episode, and you’ll discover why feedback is an important tool for bringing our blind areas forwards into our conscious awareness.
You’ll learn about the Four Spheres of Knowing and where your biggest blind spots reside. And you’ll learn about what it takes to turn your blind spots into BFO’s.
Join me in this adventure of discovering what your blind spots reveal about you.

3-29 Codes of Connection - Interview by Beth Osmer
This week’s episode is the audio of my interview as a guest speaker on a summit hosted by Beth Osmer. The summit was called Codes of Connection.
In this interview, I share my journey as a transformational and leadership development trainer for nearly fifty years. In response to Beth’s questions, we discuss:
I share my perception that it takes great courage to be a human being. It takes courage to be born, and it takes courage to die. It takes courage just to live on planet Earth today, given all the changes and challenges we are all facing.
I also discuss about importance of having a vision that centers and grounds one, like a North Star. In times of great change and challenge, our vision is something to true up to.
Join me in this powerful and insightful conversation about the importance of being connected throughout our lives.

3-27 Pioneering Transformation and Leadership - Interview by Alex Lianne and Carol Register
This week’s episode is the audio from an interview I did on the Unleashed and Unstoppable podcast, hosted by Alex Lianne Carter and Carol Register.
Alex and Carol are certified Performance-Neuro Coaches who help their clients optimize their performance through confidence, self-worth, and courageous action.
We look at transformation and leadership development through the lens of my experience as a pioneering trainer and coach of nearly fifty years in the field.
We discuss the early days of my career, as a woman in a field populated largely by men, how that context shaped me, and how the challenges I faced then, are still faced by women today in the corporate world.
We discuss the kind of mind-set and conditioning females are taught throughout their lives and how many of those principles need to be unlearned if a woman is to succeed as a leader in today’s world.
Join us for this fascinating conversation, with deep and profound implications for female leaders today.

S3 E25 Becoming an Empowered Elder
This week’s episode is the edited version of an interview Judith did for the speaker series, “Wise Women Rising”, hosted by Brandee Safran.
In this interview, Judith reflects on what it means to her to be a wise woman leader and shares about her experiences growing up at a time when there were few female role models as leaders, especially in the field of transformational trainings.
She shares about how it was a “boy’s club” and how out of alignment she felt coming up through a system that rewarded masculine traits and ways of thinking and how she pushed the boundaries and innovated the ways that work could be expressed.
Judith shares her own journey of becoming an empowered elder, one that continues to this day as she says, “we are always becoming, we are evolving.” “If we remain curious and open to new possibilities, If we can stay in “beginner’s mind” and be a life-long learner, no matter how old we are, life will present opportunities to create, remain relevant and live a life that matters.”
Tune in and hear Judith’s personal journey to becoming an empowered elder.

S3 E21: From Burnout to BOLDness -A Conversation with Alex Lianne
Have you ever worked hard to achieve your goals or get to where you thought you wanted to be and then having gotten there you felt burned out and knew you couldn’t sustain this level of performance?
And maybe you kept going anyway because you needed to prove that you were capable and not a quitter.
That’s how my guest, Alex Lianne, felt as she reached what she thought was the peak of her career.
She’d worked hard to get where she was and ignored her body’s signals to slow down and regroup. She kept going until her body wouldn’t co-operate any longer and had a physical collapse that sidelined her for six months.
Join us as Alex shares how her burn out experience inspired her to become a Performance-Neuro Coach who helps her clients optimize their performance through confidence, self-worth, and courageous action.

S3 E20 The Blessings Are Always With You
“The blessings are always with you.” These are the words that were spoken to me by an I Ching master in Taiwan twenty years ago.
The I Ching is one of the oldest spiritual books in the world and for many Chinese philosophers, it is as important as the Bible is to Western society. Essentially, it is a means of obtaining spiritual guidance, insight, and wisdom.
In this week’s episode, I share my experience of what I learned that day with the I Ching master and how it has impacted my life since then. The learning has been significant on many different levels.
I learned that blessings and miracles are commonplace events, and available to anyone who is willing to receive them. But was I willing to RECEIVE the blessings that are always with me? Big learning here!
And guess what? The blessings are always with you, too! Can you receive them is the question.
Discover what I learned about what keeps us from receiving them and how you can be a magnet for all the goodness waiting to be given to you.

S3, E19: Unspeakable Truths and Transforming Conversations - Shelli Jost Brady
Human beings are masterful story tellers and meaning making machines. We are that we make meaning and we do it instantaneously and for the most part unconsciously.
Then we live inside our stories, thinking they are truth and fact, when, in reality, we made them up. Life happens and we make up what it means.
My guest this week is Shelli Jost Brady, a graduate of Virginia Tech, who holds multiple advanced degrees and certifications in design, architecture, business, leadership trauma, and peace education.
Born on a farm in South Dakota, daughter of a father in the military, Shelli’s nomadic youth instilled the importance of finding affinity in disparate groups to create comfort in ever-changing and dangerous environments.
She has created curriculums in human rights, conflict transformation, relationships, and reconciliation for organizations and communities at large.

S3 E18 The Perils of OversharingHave you ever heard someone sharing a grievance, or in a social media post in which they indulge themselves in their own pity party? If you’re ever left feeling like you need to take a shower after reading or listening to this kind of share, chances are the person sharing crossed a line and veered from “being open, vulnerable and transparent” (all admirable qualities) into being manipulative and self indulgent. And how do you know where is the line? How do you know when you think you’re being “open and vulnerable” and you feel like you need to “get it all out”, that you’ve crossed a line and you end up covertly manipulating your listener for sympathy or attention? This is the subject of this week’s episode. Many times, we get so caught up in airing our points of view, sharing our feelings, being right about how bad someone else is or how admirably we handled a difficult situation, we fail to notice the impact we’re having on the people around us. Know where and when it’s appropriate to “spill your guts” and how much of your journey others really want to know. Join as we dive into a discussion on “the perils and pitfalls of self-development” and learn how to come back from the brink of becoming self-indulgent.

From the time she was in 5th grade, Ebethal Badawi, born in Saudi Arabia, knew that she wanted to be an artist. But she was told that art could only be a hobby, not a real career path, so she decided to study science, a much more acceptable choice according to her parents. She got a bachelor’s degree in biology from King Abdul-Aziz University. Shortly after graduating, she got married and came to the US via a joint scholarship from the Saudi Arabian government. A desire to pursue a career in art still burned in her, but since she had no training in that field, she went on to earn a master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene from West Virginia University. But her heart was not in it. She always felt that something was missing. After developing an interest in art therapy, she took the required classes in Art and Psychology to pursue a specialty in art therapy and that endeavor is still ongoing. Join us as we explore Ebtehal’s amazing story of how her vision and passion for using art as a medium to encourage diversity, inclusion, and connection came together to create something far beyond anything she could imagine. Through her Pittsburg Builds Bridges Initiative, her vision is to create art that uplifts peoples’ souls and inspires other artists to share the beauty and the magic of their art. Ebtehal is also a 2022 Pittsburgh TEDx speaker. S3 E16 Learning to Love the UnlovableHow do we be with the parts of ourselves we find least loveable? You know which qualities I’m talking about. They’re the ones that seem to rear their ugly heads when you least expect it and they sabotage your relationships with others and most of all, with yourself. Those pesky traits like being too controlling, too loud, too much, too shy, too fearful, too anxious, untrusting, lacking confidence, etc. You seem to have no control over them and try as you might, you just can’t get rid of them. Well, guess what? You don’t need to get rid of them! BUT if you want to have your life work, you do need to learn how to be with them in an empowering way. And THAT is what we’re taking on in this week’s episode. How do we find the courage to open to, and accept, all of what we are, even these most unlovable qualities? How do we acquire the confidence to live with that kind of openness and be present to whatever coming up in the moment, just as it is, with clarity and kindness? How do we let life, with all of its disappointments and sorrows soften our heart? How can we avoid spiritual bypassing, look at ourselves head on, and do the inner work necessary to discover who we truly are, even with all of these undesirable qualities that reside in us? Join us as we dive into this territory you might have been avoiding your entire life and discover what’s possible when you do. Season 3, Episode 14: How Do We Keep Going?
There is just so much conflict taking place all over the planet, we are living in a time in human history of tremendous disruption. Human beings are facing this not only in the collective but also on a personal level every day.
The question arises: In the face of all the disruption and turmoil in the world and in our personal lives, how do we keep going?
How do we sustain passion, vision, intention, commitment, all of those things that we know are important for our lives in terms of living satisfying fulfilling purpose-filled lives, how do we keep all of that going year after year after year in the face of what now lives as tremendous disappointment, setback, discouragement?
How do we keep going? How do we NOT give up when at times it feels hopeless or pointless and we’re exhausted?
In this week’s episode, I share what helps me keep on going, when at an age when my peers long ago retired, I continue to carry on, with renewed vigor, enjoying the process, a life-long learner, still on the path of making a difference.
It isn’t always easy, but there are some key things I’ve learned along the way and I want to pass them along to you.
Join me, as we unpack the “secret sauce” that will sustain you, nourish you, inspire you when you’re running on empty.

S3 E13 Unlocking Intimacy: A Conversation About Relationships - Andrea Ivanka
“The truth is if we are brave enough to be vulnerable often enough, we will fall. And if we know that and risk it anyway, we are pulled forward to even greater courage.”
Andrea Ivanka
My guest this week is Andrea Ivanka, a second generation Canadian of Ukrainian ancestry, who was one of my first guests on the podcast in Season 1, Episode 6.
If you haven’t listened to that episode, I highly encourage you to do so and hear from Andrea about her Ukrainian roots and how the war in Ukraine has impacted her community.
Andrea is back this week to discuss how we best navigate breakdowns in our most important relationships, having just gone through a breakdown with her partner of 12 years.
She shares her experience of how she was able to move through intense emotions and discover her “vibrational set point”, that place inside each of us that allows us to true up to who we truly are vs. the strong feelings we might be having in the moment.
We discuss the character qualities that serve as stepping-stones that unlock our ability to be vulnerable and set us on a path to cross the river of emotions we feel when we’re in a breakdown and move us in the direction of resolution.
Join us for this deep, intimate and personal conversation with a woman who is at the forefront of coaching and guiding women to become their best selves.

S3 E12 Making Friends With Your Discomfort Zone
Sooner or later, you knew this was coming. It’s time to have a conversation about learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable.
And why not? After all, it’s the basis of everything we talk about here on this podcast. Growth, adventure, learning, creativity, passion, aliveness….. it all begins at the end of your comfort zone.
Not much going on there in the C.Z. (comfort zone) that you don’t already know, haven’t already done a million times. And yes, I get that there is a certain amount of comfort to be had by knowing you have it there in your back pocket. You can go there whenever you want. You can pull back, put your feet up, and watch the sunset with a martini in your hand. Don’t get me wrong! By all means, we need to do that on a regular basis. So go for it!
I’m talking about our attachment to being comfortable and to never venturing beyond our C.Z. The truth is, most people on the planet today are faced with the necessity of re-inventing themselves on a regular basis. The world is changing at such a rapid pace, nothing stays the same for very long.
So this week, we’re taking on the experience of learning how to use the discomfort zone as the path forward into new possibilities. When you’re stuck, lost, confused, or afraid, it’s time to lean into the discomfort and go through it.
Beyond the Discomfort Zone lies the joy and the love you seek. It’s all there waiting for you to muster up the courage and willingness to choose something other than what you already know. And here’s the deal: you can do this! You already have within, everything you need to make that journey.
Tune in as we make that journey together and learn how to befriend the very thing we wanted to avoid.
And here’s a way to be supported in that journey.

Kari Cardinale is my guest on the podcast this week. She is the Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy at Modern Elder Academy (MEA)
Kari and I met in graduate school when she was in her mid 20’s and I was in my late 40’s. Today she is in her mid-50’s and I am in my early 80’s, thus our topic for the podcast this week:

Kari combines her 30 years’ experience as a driven social entrepreneur in creative strategy and instructional design with her professional hosting, facilitating and training expertise, and private consulting skills to elicit the best ideas from today’s brightest thought leaders.
She is driven by a passion to lead the new frontier of global community engagement. Her energy and ability to quickly engage clients across silos and industry sectors produces profound results.
Each of us brings a unique perspective on the subject: Kari, as she emerges into the early stages of elderhood, and me, as I embrace and embody elderhood at age 81.
Join us in this lively conversation that touches on both the challenges and the opportunities of living as an empowered elder in a world that still is rife with ageism and FOGO (Fear Of Getting Old).

S3 E10 Ya Gotta Have Grit: But Know When to Quit
This week we’re taking on the subject of grit, brought forward into public awareness by American psychologist, Angela Duckworth and her research on the topic.
Her research shows that grit is more predictive of success and achievement than intelligence or natural ability. It also suggests that people with higher levels of grit are happier and more satisfied with their lives.
I’m not so sure about this, so this week, I’m discussing another part of the grit equation that Duckworth’s research doesn’t address. And that is the idea that there is a downside to having too much grit and there is value in knowing when to quit.
Quit is not a term we like to use. We’re taught never to quit, never give up, keep forging on, even sometimes to our own detriment. So let’s reframe the word “quit” and consider an alternative term.
We’ll hear some shares from members of the Living in The New Beyond Facebook group on the prices they’ve paid for not knowing when to quit and we’ll consider the importance of teaching our children how to develop grit.
Join us as we consider both sides of the equation. How important is grit in our lives today and what are the prices we pay for not knowing when to take our foot off the gas and take a pause?

Season 3, Episode 5: What If What You Want Wants You?
Here’s an interesting thought: What if you want, wants you?
Think of all the things you want……. Love, relationships, money, health, family, etc. All of those things already exist as unmanifest potential. What if that potential is available to align with your own consciousness?
I know that sounds crazy, but remember, in the realm of consciousness, things are not always as they appear to be.
In order to even contemplate this thought, let’s pull waaay out, beyond ordinary reality, and consider how the Quantum Reality works.
In the quantum field, everything is energy. Including you. Including me. Including all your thoughts, feelings, emotions, actions, etc. Literally everything is energy. And that energy is vibrating at a certain frequency.
How we bring that energy into form and create our material reality is the subject of this podcast. Think you need to be a scientist to make sense of all this?
Consider this idea: you’re already a scientist! It might not be your job title or your training, but you were born curious about how things work.
So put on your “Curiosity Caps” and join us for this fascinating discussion of how the very thing we are seeking is seeking us and learn how to bring it into form.

Season3, Episode 3: Making Friends With Uncertainty
How are you doing in these times of so much change and uncertainty?
If you’re like most people, you’re probably quite uncomfortable with too much uncertainty. Why? Because humans are wired for certainty and abhor uncertainty.
We want life to be predictable and we want to be prepared for what is coming. We want answers and we want them now. This is not a bad thing. It’s perfectly normal.
Yet in times like these, with massive change as the norm, the only thing that is certain is that more uncertainty is ahead.
For some, massive change can feel exciting and thrilling. They love new beginnings and are energized by change. For others, change might produce fear and anxiety as they cling to what is safe and known.
What if you could learn how to not only survive change, but learn to thrive in it?
Join me in this episode as we unpack the challenges we face in today’s world that is rife with change and uncertainty.
Learn to identify your superpowers, your inner qualities that can help you face changes that are coming, invited or uninvited.

Season 3, Episode 2: Navigating Endings and Beginnings: Lynne Sheridan
As we start a new year, let’s talk about beginnings. But beginnings are not the whole story since a beginning is often preceded by an ending. Both beginnings and endings can be challenging, so let’s take them both on.
My guest on The New Beyond this week is Lynne Sheridan, a transformational trainer and licensed marriage and family therapist who works with individuals and couples in navigating their lives through endings and beginnings.
Lynne is the author of The Birds and Bees of Joyful Monogamy: Nine Secrets to HOT Partnering and is a relationship expert, with a wealth of experience in working with couples to truly connect, with a depth of intimacy, understanding and compassion.
Join us, as Lynne and I sit down together to discuss what it takes to successfully navigate the challenges of ending what no longer serves, or is complete in our lives, as well as managing the opportunities that arise when something new appears on the horizon or is dropped suddenly, sometimes without notice, into our lives.
How we meet these two seemingly opposite experiences, whether in excitement or in dread, will determine how well we navigate them and what we can create on the other side.

S3 E1: What is Your Impossible Dream?
There are many futures in front of you. Some of them are almost here and you can see and predict what they hold.
But if you look out far enough, there is a future that is waiting for you, that from here, you cannot see or even predict. I’ll call it your “Impossible Future”.
That “impossible” future is the home of the dreams that live inside you that are SO BIG, you dare not even dream them or speak about them.
Or maybe you’ve never even allowed yourself to think or dream that big. But what if you did? What if you could reveal to yourself the spark of a dream you harbor inside that seems impossible to reach from here?
That’s what we’re taking on in this episode of The New Beyond. What if this year, 2023, could be the year that you ignite the spark that gives life to those dreams, and you could bring them into form?
What does it take to do that? What are the stories you’ve told yourself that have kept you from daring to dream those big dreams?
Join me as we explore the territory of bringing forth those big dreams and begin living them. It’s never too late and you’re never too old. What could it look like for you?

Season 2, Episode 14: Winter Solstice: An Homage to the Darkness
This episode is a meditation on the Winter Solstice, Dec. 21st, when the shortest day meets the longest night. It is based on an original piece of Judith’s writing, set to music and invites listeners to sink into, and embrace, the darkness.
This meditation is a form of prayer, an homage to the possibilities found only in the dark. It is an invitation to settle in, become still, and discover what awaits your presence there.
In the busyness of this time with holiday parties, shopping, cooking, and rituals shared with family and friends, include time for stillness and reflection on the evening of Solstice to honor the pregnant possibilities of the dark.
Included are suggestions for a ritual to help you celebrate this sacred time of year. May you find comfort here.
This meditation is available for purchase as part of Judith’s Musings & Meditations Audio Series. You’ll find it here: www.judithrich.com/meditations. These meditations are Judith’s original writings, set to music.
Wishing you all a most happy holiday season and a joyous New Year!

This is exactly what Christina has done in her personal life and she is on a mission to help women get unstuck, move beyond their self-limiting beliefs and learn to play big.
Christina is a self-made millionaire who started her business from ground zero during maternity leave from her corporate job when she decided it was time to build her own dreams, not someone else’s. She has since worked with thousands of entrepreneurs across the globe to create their own predictable cash flow machines.
Christina made her first million by age 25. Yes, you heard that right! Age 25! Hear how she did it. It took a lot of grit and hard work. But that’s not all. She lost it all in the market downturn in 2008. But that didn’t stop Christina. While going through a divorce, and losing all her money, she picked herself back up and kept going. AND….. she got right back into the Millionaire Mindset and made her second million. Since then, she has gone on to make multiple millions and her goal is to grow her coaching business to an 8 figure business in the next 3 years.
None of this happened by accident. Christina studied the mindset habits of wealthy people and discovered some key patterns among those who make the most money.
Tune in as Christina shares what she learned about the Science of Success from her own journey to making millions.

Season 2, Episode 8: Chances Are It Didn’t Begin With You: Healing Ancestral Trauma
On The New Beyond this week, we take on the subject of ancestral trauma and how to heal it.
If you have personal issues around addictions like alcoholism or drug abuse, depression, obesity, diabetes, or anxiety; chances are you might find that somewhere back in your lineage is where those issues began. And they got passed on. Maybe you’re dealing with those issues today.
If it didn’t begin with you, could it end with you?
We’ll discuss the Native American teaching on how our actions affect 14 generations; 7 generations in each direction. How does that work? Tune in and learn……
We’ll consider scientific findings in the field of epigenetics that demonstrate how biological trauma leaves a chemical marker on the genes of the children and grandchildren of those whose parents experienced extreme trauma. Studies of those who went through the Holocaust, or other catastrophic events found increased incidents of depression, anxiety, obesity and diabetes in their children, grandchildren and future generations.
Doing the work of healing generational trauma is an opportunity to break the pattern of the wound so that it stops with you. You are taking responsibility for leaving a different legacy for future generations.
In this episode we’ll talk about specific practices to support healing generational trauma. Judith shares a dream she had that showed her a practice to use with clients and those doing this kind of work. Anyone can do it, but it takes courage and commitment.
We’ll end with a call to action. Do you CHOOSE to consciously take on your own generational healing work? If you’re dealing with issues and you can’t get to the bottom of where it came from and why it persists, consider that it might not have started with you. But it can end with you.
And thank you dear listeners, for helping us find our audience.

Beyond Fear: Choosing An Alternative Path
In this episode, Judith addresses the elephant in the room. The thing we don’t like to talk about, face up to, or know how to be with: FEAR.
We’re not talking about the kind of fear that is “rational”, a healthy response to physical danger. We’re talking about “irrational fear” the emotional reaction in the body/mind that is triggered by past memories, or the fear of a potential future that grips us and renders us incapable of thinking, acting or making responsible choices in the moment.
We react versus respond when we’re in the emotional grip of what we believe to be “real”, which is actually an illusion of the mind. What is the alternative to a “fight, flight or freeze” reaction when fear takes over?
Join us as we unpack a new possibility, an alternative response, and hear Judith’s personal story of how she used this tool to help her navigate one of the most challenging, difficult experiences of her life.

Hands Up, Hands Down: The Art and Practice of Surrender
In this episode, we talk about surrender as it’s a very important and challenging skill to master as it requires a high state of consciousness.
Surrender is NOT about giving up. It’s just the opposite. To be in a state of surrender is a very active state.
Surrender is a state that of no forcing, no pushing….. just allowing. Like water. Water doesn’t honor obstacles…. It flows over, under around and through whatever is in its path. Surrender isn’t about just sitting back and letting life go by, it’s about how you’re being as you’re playing the game of life.
Join us as we explore how to meet life’s most challenging moments in a state of surrender, and learn what is possible when we let go and give up the illusion of control for the experience of true connection and the ability to manifest beyond our limited perspective.

Season 2 Episode 1: Freedom From the Inside Out: A Conversation with Paul Kan
Welcome to Season 2 of The New Beyond With Dr. Judith Rich!
We start off our second season with a special guest, Paul Kan, a High Performance and Executive Coach, Talent Development Specialist, TEDx Keynote Speaker, and Host of the Yes I Kan Podcast.
After almost a decade of sales and leadership experience managing multi-million-dollar portfolios with billion-dollar brands, Paul left his corporate job to pursue a more meaningful path. He has spent the past two years coaching over 300 corporate and individual clients from CEOs to Olympians to up-level their Emotional Intelligence capability, develop, nurture and retain diverse talent and bring out the best with their teams. Today, he is on a mission to empower and inspire others to create their best version of an extraordinary life with joy, authenticity, and freedom.
“Freedom From the Inside Out” is a journey that Paul knows well. Born in a girl’s body 31 years ago, Paul spent his early years bullied for being a “girl who was too much like a boy, too loud, too rowdy, too opinionated”. He didn’t have language back then for his experience of being in the wrong body. He just thought he was wrong. He was a very lonely teenager, isolated and rejected even from his own family, Paul tried hard to be and do the “right things” and gain acceptance.
Tune in and hear Paul’s story of transformation, literally and figuratively, as he navigated the road of discovering his true identity and made the courageous choice to transition from female to male. Hear about his life today as a married, transgender man, a new father, fresh off the TedX stage where he inspired his audience with his amazing message of hope, and courage for anyone who struggles with self acceptance, no matter who they are.

Episode 23: Courageous Leadership in The New Beyond
This episode was recorded shortly after the Supreme Court decision that ended Roe v. Wade was handed down. Given the amount of disruption and chaos that has been unleashed in the aftermath, how do we navigate this time? Where do we look for leadership and what kind of leadership is needed now?
In this episode we discuss the collective experience of being on the planet now as systems are crumbling and the old patriarchal paradigm is mounting a fierce fight to resist transformation and change. That war is being waged both on the physical plane and in consciousness, both individually and collectively.
How do we be with one another, given the degree of polarization taking place between us? Who are we being called to BE as leaders in The New Beyond and what is our task in order to bring about a consciousness of unity, healing and connection?
Join us in this first episode in what will likely be a series of conversations about Leadership in the New Beyond and how to bridge the gap between us polarized humans.
We need your voices in this conversation. We invite your participation and shared points of view as we engage in this life-changing process taking place on the planet as we speak.

Episode 22: Reclaim Your Space: A Conversation with Tam Orlando
Tam Orlando is a highly sensitive, powerfully intuitive healer. Her particular magic is the unique cumulation of experience and education in art, design, yoga, free birth, natural parenting, integrative healing, mind-body-energy, somatic trauma healing, and personal development, combined with 15 years growing a multi-million-dollar home improvement company that specialized in people-centered design and project management.
While she catalyzes powerful shifts in the tangible world, her greatest power is her ability to shine the light of awareness on unconscious structures and conditioning that no longer serve people, and support them to courageously walk the path of allowing those structures to crumble so a new, beautiful, truer self-expression can shine through, and to share those tools and possibilities she discovers along the way.
When her home renovation company got shut down during Covid, Tam saw a whole new realm of needs arise. With people being isolated in their own spaces Tam searched for how she could support them in healing their relationship with their homes now that they were spending more time at home than ever before. In addition, with people being so isolated, she saw the need and the opportunity to support them by creating community.
Thus, was born her masterclass, Reclaim Your Space, a six-week, online course that teaches people how to transform their living spaces into environments that nourish and support their deepest desires. “I believe that your home can nourish you, reflect what brings you joy and express your uniqueness. Let me be your guide.”
Join us as we explore how to incorporate art, color, space, and special objects that reflect and support your journey to wholeness.

Episode 21: Why Happiness is Overrated
Everyone wants to be happy, right? It turns out, maybe not!
In this week’s episode, Judith takes us on an inquiry into why happiness might not be the thing we really want, even if we think it is.
So if it’s not happiness, then what do we really want?
What is the state of consciousness we’re seeking that promises to bring us feelings of well-being, lightness, satisfaction and peace? And how do we get there?
Pull up a chair, tune in while you’re on your daily commute, or listen while you’re on that cross-country vacation trek and be willing to reconsider your quest for happiness.
Why would you do that? Perhaps there is something deeper and more lasting available instead. Tune in and find out.

Episode 19: How Do You Know What is Your TRUTH?
How do you know the difference between your own truth, versus your deeply embedded unconscious beliefs that you inherited from your environment, versus your cultural conditioning?
How can you separate all that content of the mind and consciousness in order to know what is really true?
Where do we look to know? Is it in our mind, which seems like it contains a lot of knowledge? Is it our heart, that is the seat of our feelings? Are you your thoughts? Are you your feelings?
What if who and what you are and what is your truth lies beyond everything you think you know? What if you must be willing to journey far beyond; into The New Beyond in consciousness, beyond rules and road maps to discover the answers? Are you willing to go?
Join me as we dive into an inquiry into what is our true nature and therefore, what is our truth? Be willing to be surprised. Are you willing? Are you open? Great! Let’s dive in…….

Episode 17: Crossing the Spiritual Desert: Navigating the Soul's Journey
In this week’s episode, we examine the phenomenon of “running dry”, which is the experience of periodic phases of our lives when it seems as though we’ve “lost” our passion, our juice. It feels like we’ve lost our way, lost our direction and sense of purpose.
Where we used to feel clear and focused, we now feel foggy, uncertain, and perhaps even depressed.
When the soul calls us to do its work, it will engineer our lives so that we almost have no choice but to go within. At the mundane level, it feels as though we have no other choice, for the soul makes its demands and one way or another, as Dr. James Hillman says, “it will have its way with us.”
What may look like a depression on the surface, might actually be a soul descent process, wherein the soul is directing us to go within, for soul work is done in the deep waters of our being.
In this episode, we’ll discuss the process of how the soul does its work and distinguish how to know if you’re being called to do soul work from being in a clinical depression.
Join me as we explore the “dark night of the soul”, wherein I share my own “dark night” soul descent experience and how that culminated in a renewed vision of who I am and how I chose to change my name to more closely align with my own soul’s calling.

Episode 16: Commitment: The Ultimate “C” Word: A Conversation with Michael Strasner
Michael Strasner returns to the podcast with a conversation about Commitment: The Ultimate “C” Word.
There are a thousand ways to approach this subject and Michael and I take on most of them.
From why do people resist making and keeping commitments to what is possible for our lives when we take ourselves and our lives seriously enough to commit to something that wasn’t going to happen anyway?
From what are the underlying unconscious commitments people are loyal to that keep them stuck, safe and unable to move in the direction they want their lives to go, to what is required to breakthrough our history and beliefs to create freedom and joy in the here and now?
Join Michael and me as we engage in a lively dialogue, filled with examples and stories from our decades of experience training and coaching people in the context of leadership and transformation, where commitment serves as the bridge to move people from where they currently are to where they want to go.

Episode 15: The Roots of our Humanity: Embracing the Spirit of Unbuntu
In this week’s episode, we’re exploring another gem that comes from the birthplace of the first modern human: Mother Africa.
Even if you don’t personally identify with Africa as your mother, in truth, we are all descendants of the first modern human, homo erectus, whose origins are traced to Africa.
How fitting and appropriate that the country where homo erectus was first identified is also the birthplace of the philosophy that points the way toward a sustainable future for us, its offspring.
This week’s conversation is about the philosophy called “Ubuntu,” which translated means “I am what I am, because of who we all are.” It has its origins in the Bantu languages of southern Africa.
The philosophy of Unbuntu is a way of seeing the world and all its inhabitants that, if adopted by a critical mass of human beings, would have a major impact in our ability to work together and ultimately shift the context of what it means to be a human being living on Planet Earth in the 21st century.
Join me as we dive into this philosophy which represents the context of #TheNewBeyond.

Episode 14: The Journey to the Great Mother: A Conversation with Christina Miglino
My guest this week is Christina Miglino, a Shamanic Guide and Energy Intuitive, who works with visionary women, healers, and artists to call in their soul’s mission, align with their divine gifts and birth their creative visions into the world.
Christina’s passion is to support spiritual, visionary women to manifest through the divine feminine essences. She coaches women who have excelled in the masculine world to “drop the masculine hustle and do the deeper work of healing ancestral trauma so they can have a life of major impact with EASE.”
She has studied and is trained in a wide array of disciplines including;
Hypnotherapy, Buddhist psychology, Advanced Energy Medicine, Shamanism
Insight Meditation, Attachment theory and Family Constellation work.
Christina shares how her own spiritual journey began at the age of 8 when after suffering severe migraines for many years, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and spent many years in hospitals undergoing treatment. During that time, she had a visitation from the angelic realm, which ultimately resulted in the healing of her tumor. She remains cancer free to the present time.
In this episode Christina shares about her many “dark nights of the soul” and what she’s learned about the soul and how it works. She says, “Your Soul is wise. Your soul is divinely guided. Your Soul knows what it’s doing here.“
She shares the 4 keys to unlocking the soul’s manifestation abilities and how to go about manifesting generational healing so you can become the bridge between the ancestors and the children.
Join me in this riveting conversation and take a deep dive in to the awareness of how you can heal your own ancestral wounding and connect to your divine feminine essence.

Episode 13: The Journey with No Destination
In this week’s episode, Judith invites listeners into a conversation about the very nature of transformation itself.
What is the goal of transformational work and what happens to someone when they do when they do this kind of work?
Why is it called “The journey with no destination”? Do we really not get anywhere and if not, why even begin?
Judith has personally been on this journey for 47 years. What is it that motivates her and others to take themselves through this process and does it really make a difference whether or not a person does deep inner work in their lifetime?
What is the nature of being human? Are we capable of changing our basic human nature?
What is the significance of the soul and its process on this journey?
Join us as we explore the answers to these and other questions that arise as we begin and remain on “The Journey With No Destination”.

The Intimacy of Race: A Conversation with Eva Medilek
In May 2020, George Floyd was murdered and Eva Medilek’s life changed on a dime.
The “privileged bubble” she had grown up in as the only child of middle-class black parents was pierced, and centuries of repressed generational pain came crashing into her conscious awareness. She knew she had to do something.
What Eva did with that pain is the subject of our conversation in this week’s episode: The Intimacy of Race: A Conversation with Eva Medilek.
Eva did what few black people had done in the aftermath of Floyd’s murder. She saw white people struggling in their desire to do and say the right things and decided to take on the task of helping people of privilege move from subconscious racism to active allyship. She founded the Allyship Awareness Forum, wrote a book: The Intimacy of Race, and started and continues to do a weekly live on Facebook in her group, named after the book.
Eva shares her story of growing up in Patterson, N.J., her father a police officer who provided protection for Martin Luther King, her great-great grandmother a slave who lived long enough to meet Eva as a child, and her own evolution as a best- selling author, a high-performance coach, international speaker and cultural inclusivity trainer.
Be sure to listen to this week’s episode and you’ll see why Eva had to be the one to take on this daunting “assignment”. Her pointed honesty is wrapped in so much love, her humanity and vulnerability make her the perfect person to bridge the cultural gap and expand what it means to be an ally.

In this podcast, we’ll explore the following question:
Is Life Happening TO you or FOR you?
The nature of life today is that literally EVERYONE on planet Earth is in The New Beyond right now, so the question is, now what? We’re all out here, with our Comfort Zones having been exploded, going into the 3rd year of a global pandemic and we’re searching for how to find our bearings and get grounded so we can move forwards from here.
The stress is ALREADY here, the question is how do you manage it? How do you navigate your way in a world where change is massive and happening at a faster and faster pace?
The answer to that question lies in our mindset around change. If your internal dialogue regarding change is that it’s something threatening and scary and to be avoided at all costs, well, you’ll have one kind of experience in the change process. And that mostly likely won’t be empowering.
Your resistance to what is already happening isn’t going to change the fact that it’s happening. Change is upon us, whether you like or want it or not.
The key to managing change effectively is to get your mind wrapped around it. Get on board with it. Surrender to what is, instead of fight and resist, deny or avoid it. That one shift can make all the difference.
That one shift can allow your mind to open and allow new possibilities to emerge, new insights to bubble up.
Ultimately, you may even come to see and know that what is happening in your life right now is happening FOR you, not TO you.
And that’s where we’re headed in today’s episode, so come and join us! And while you’re here, if you haven’t already, please subscribe wherever you get your podcasts and leave us a 5 star review so others can find us.

My guest on the podcast today is Andrea Ivanka, a deep, wise, and extraordinary women’s business coach and mentor. For over a decade, she has helped female leaders and entrepreneurs unlock their potential so they can build their best businesses and live their best lives.
Andrea is a second generation Canadian, whose grandparents met in a Ukrainian refugee camp after WWII, fell in love, and migrated to Canada. With Ukrainian grandparents on both sides of her family, Andrea describes her early life as “growing up in a Ukrainian bubble”, having gone to Ukrainian schools, learned the language, and having been steeped in the culture her entire life.
Within 48 hours of the war’s outbreak, Andrea and her community were buying supplies to ship to Ukraine. With the war still raging, Andrea’s heart has been broken-open and her words and passion have poured forth like “poetry in motion”, as she describes her experience of feeling the deep well of pain and courage of the Ukrainian people.
As a business coach and mentor, Andrea helps successful female entrepreneurs lead the way into their next income level with the Total Boss Approach ™, combining aligned energetics with leading edge business strategies that set behavior on autopilot for success as they scale and grow.

In this episode, Judith discusses the war in Ukraine and the impact on all of us as we witness overwhelming human suffering. How are we to live with and hold an experience like this? How do we manage our pain in the face of this and other kinds of suffering in the world?
The key is not to turn away but to allow ourselves to enter into and be a witness to our pain and in so doing, deepen and expand our capacity for love and compassion for self and others. We must allow our hearts to break and learn how to live with a broken open heart.

In today’s episode, Judith ponders her experience of being challenged to receive all the blessings and love that were a part of her 80th birthday celebration. We investigate the relationship between giving and receiving and why it is that most people have more difficulties receiving than they do giving. What is that really about?
What is the role that being a YES plays in our experience of manifesting abundance or the lack thereof? How do we sabotage ourselves and limit our ability to create abundance?

In this episode, Judith shares her personal journey of “leaving Kansas” and venturing into her own New Beyond. She shares about her early childhood conditioning, the pain of broken marriages and divorces, the years she spent feeling lost and without direction and finally getting her life on track when she discovered and began doing transformational work.
Judith invites listeners to investigate their own stories of change and resistance to it with the following suggestions for reflection:
Go back into your personal story and see if you can find the time in your life when you first became aware you couldn’t stay in Kansas anymore.
What was not working in your life the way you wanted it to work?
What kept you stuck or in resistance at the time? What were you afraid of?
What fears do you still carry today around this topic?
What are you currently waiting for before you feel you can take concrete action to make these changes?
How much longer do you need to stay where you are?

In this first episode of The New Beyond we’ll explore the possibility of learning how to build a life beyond the ideas of what we used to think of as “normal”.
Going into the third year of the pandemic we’re wondering what to call this time we’re living thru in which we’re somewhere between pre/mid/and post-pandemic. We’re somewhere in an experience where we can’t see the end, and we don’t have any sign-posts to orient or guide us. So what do we call this time?
Some refer to this time as The New Normal or The New Abnormal. But notice that both of these names reference the idea of “normal”, as it’s human nature to want to “normalize” things. But what if this time isn’t about normal? What if it’s about going beyond normal? That idea is what inspired the title of this podcast, The New Beyond. I’m reminded of Rumi’s famous poem, “Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”
I think that’s where we are now. We are in the field that is beyond right/wrong, good/bad, normal/abnormal. We are in the Field of Possibility where anything is possible. Once we throw away our old conditioning and all our other limiting ideas and beliefs, new possibilities open and a whole new world appears. I call this time then, The New Beyond.
The question is what is required of us in order to live fulfilling, creative, lives in The New Beyond? Who do we need to become as humans, to navigate this brave new world? That’s what we’ll be investigating as together we explore life in The New Beyond.
