With crossovers anything is possible, and Dr. Fanfiction and Ivygor break down why people write them, why people like them, and why mainstream media is often... not great at them.

Inspired by the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, many are enthralled by the concept of daemons -- and many fanfiction writers have gone on to ask what their favorite characters' daemons might be like. In this episode, Dr. Fanfiction and Ivygor explore the appeal of daemon AUs in fanfiction, and come up with some exciting questions of their own.
