My dear brothers and sisters,
My Christian brother is questioning his faith and what he believes.
I do think that as I pray God is using him so that I can pray for all of our brothers and sisters all over the world.
We all lose faith once in a while but should we? Is it good to question God? Is it good to think about what makes our faith real? What is hope?
I ask that you please pray for my brother, but also pray for all of our brothers and sisters who is faith and believe might be a little bit weak today. We don't know them but God does.
Let's take a moment every day to pray for them with all of our hearts because we love them and because we are gods children. Amen

When I think of discipleship I think of a new Christian asking me a series of questions and me helping them in their spiritual growth and guiding them so they may have a clearer and better relationship with God. Today my message is not so much about making disciples but to make sure that you are allowing God to disciple you.
"Before you can be filled with the Spirit you must desire to be filled.
"Do you want Him to be Lord of you life?
"Are you sure that you need to be filled?
"If you feel that there is something that you must have or your heart will never be satisfied,...I would say, “Come on,” because God has something for you…”

**Heavenly Father, speak to me and I will listen as you prepare every moment of my life so perfectly.
All the pleasure I have is to please you, to follow you, to be happy with your will for me. I know that my life means something because you alone have created it. You alone have set an example for me to follow. In a worldly sense my life is hard. But the joy of knowing, that this life that you've given me, the difficulties are to show your power and to give you pleasure. How can I not take joy in this suffering? How can I not struggle with any patience and motivation to live a life that is only worthy of your calling?
I know, and I am humbled by the fact that you have reminded me that just because of my worldly situation I do not have a free ticket to the Kingdom of Heaven. As I look high into the sky I see the clouds and I know that you have created them. As I watch the trees budding I wonder how easy it is for you to make the dead trees, live once more. And how the brown grass is now turning green again. Jesus says, “I can do nothing on my own… I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.” (John 5)
Some might say that all we can do is do our best with what God has given us. That comes to my point in the greatest gift that God has given us, His Holy Spirit.
In Charles Spurgeon’s book, God's Promises, we will look at the example of Isaac and Ishmael, the son's of Abraham. One child was brought about by human effort and the other son was brought about by the power of God through the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:3-4
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
**The Father I love, the father I trust please speak to me as you do to those who trust in you.
My lord, you have spoken to prophets and apostles in times gone by.
Now as I search for the truth, I know your presence comes with love. Father, please allow me to come before you in times of trouble and times of joy. My eagerness to serve you and seek your face warms my heart and keeps me alive. Thank you God, our most high God, for you have sustained us and delivered us from our enemies. This world only brings darkness and death. Your word brings light and life.
I am confident that you hear me and know me. It is by your grace that my life, the one you gave me, holds any worth. It is by my hope and faith in you that my heart is not lonely or empty. Thank you God for my parents and family. Allow my words of truth about the good news to reach the hearts of those around the world. **I trust in my God.
I pray these words: with a clear conscience and an open mind I pray to the one true God.
I dedicate my life and my death to my Lord Jesus Christ. To the sacrifice I will never be able to repay, to the pain I will never be able to endure. With God as a witness let me be what you want me to be. Let whatever impurities in my heart or in my soul drift away. Let me be content and full of joy as your spirit moves me, let me endure for your honor. For your gift and your covenant to me comes with such mercy and power.
Let your Holy Spirit possess my mind and let me speak only words that are true. Let my life be a testimony that everything is possible with God. I do nothing by my own accord or selfless desires. **Father, my Lord, you are the one true God.
The God who sees all our secrets and knows what our lives hold.
You have protected our ancestors, you have put to shame those with no faith. Choose for us, oh Lord, to be of those who seek you and find you to be a merciful God. One who comforts and favors us among the godly. Continue to show us the way of those whom you see as righteous and not those whom you show your wrath. We give thanks to you for all you have blessed us with. If it is your will, please replace our sorrows with patience, and our own desires with pleasing you. Let us be worthy of the sacrifices of those who came before us.
To those who do not follow our Lord, guide them to peace and salvation. Show them your mercy for you are merciful. Let our faith be strengthened and our hearts be softened. Amen.**
Romans 8:26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
My Lord, I seek you earnestly.
I find your will pleasing to me and your voice comforts my soul.
**Please find in me a humble servant and a dedicated and obedient child. Let me not be discouraged or mislead by the teachings of the darkness. Let me find salvation and truth in your name. As I hear your voice I will not stumble and I pray in your name all the days of my life. With you I find a purpose and wisdom that guides me to righteousness. Your kind spirit is always happy with direction and correction. All praise and glory to the God I trust. The God I love. And the God of Abraham and Moses.
The Father of our Lord, see that I am pleased with your will. Lord, allow me and grant me the wisdom to testify and speak your glorious message. Let hope and light be my beacon. Speak through me through your spirit. Amen.**

I was asked to speak about the true meaning of Christmas to introduce a Christmas Spirit Show at a Senior Center. I prayed and trusted that God would guide me. He answered my prayers with this short talk.
