Hi my name is Molly I have cerebral palsy and I’m 31 and I’m just here to share my story with everyone please feel free to follow me on wheel life
Please don’t feel sorry for me that I’m in a wheelchair or I have a disability I’m a person that focuses on the abilities of what I can do. I have a job I volunteer at church I hang out with friends I go to camp etc. I do all the things I don’t play the pity party card I live my life to the fullest.
Hey everyone welcome back to my podcast wheel life. On Friday I went out to dinner with my friend Jessica. We went to Shake shack and had a hamburger and I had spicy french fries with ranch which I might add were delicious! Then on Saturday I was supposed to go to my nieces eighth birthday party but I didn’t go because we were having problems with the van but my dad locally got it back up and running so everything is good now:-)w
My friends, Hannah and Brad and I went to the Christmas market and saw all the beautiful Christmas lights and we ate a lot of delicious food and just walked around and we took a lot of pictures to get into the holiday spirit!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to volunteer at Grace church by volunteering helping out organize a party for Janus what that basically is it’s where adults with disabilities come to Grace church and we had activities outside that they could do such as bingo, corn hole pumpkin painting etc. the clients brought Caregivers. They had a fun day yesterday enjoying fun activities at Grace church. We also had a cookout and a bonfire
Hey guys it’s finally fall leaves are changing colors, pumpkin patches are opening bonfires are happening All the things I just love the fall!
Camp Horizon is a camp pacifically developed for people with physical disabilities of all ages and it’s just a week for you to go and relax and go scuba diving zip lining chat with friends sit around bonfires with friends tell stories or just talk about life in general it is literally the best week ever I love my Camp Horizon family so much!
Hey guys I want to work on some new goals that I have for myself for the new year I wanna work on finishing getting my high school, diploma because I want to high school for four years but I graduated with my certificate of completion. And it kind of bothers me that I didn’t get my diploma so I’m going to work on that for the new year
With cerebral palsy your muscles cannot get weaker and they cannot be atrophy having cerebral palsy very tight and that’s why you have to do physical therapy and strictly an exercise to keep them loose but like I said cerebral palsy is not a disease it is a condition that I was born with
Hey guys so I just received some exciting news I will be observing The video production team at not this weekend but next weekend I am super excited to be a part of the team on the weekend and I’m so excited to help out
On September 1 I went to Plainfield to give a talk to Hendricks county regarding accessibility and ways we need to improve our community to make it more accessible for people disabilities and ways we can improve so people with disabilities be more independent in the community
Today I got to talk about how I started my YouTube channel and what inspired me to start my channel because all my friends from camp wanted to know how I got my channel started and I said it all started when I was in first grade and I did this program called everybody counts and that’s what really inspired me to do a YouTube channel when I get older and also develop aPodcast called wheel life Basically just talking about my story and how I live with a disability
My cousin mallory and I have a dream one day to do a triathlon together once she gets stronger and build up the strength we are going to conference call together and I think it’ll be so much fun to do this adventure with her I’ve been wanting to do a triathlon for a long time my friend Molly has a older brother with cerebral palsy and his name is Tommy andHe is nonverbal and he is 32 I believe and she has done a couple triathlon with him so I think that’s absolutely amazing and I know one day mallory and I will get to experience that dream/goal together and it’ll be pretty amazing to say the least
Hey guys honestly I am just really proud of myself for all the things that I have accomplished in my life throughout the years I’ll be honest not everything was easy but I was strong and I had family and friends By my side ever since I was little they are my biggest cheerleaders in my life I love you guys so much ❤️
My journey started with public speaking in the first grade I was a part of this program called everybody counts and I would basically go around to each grade level and share my story with the students
