Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36). This statement sets the stage for our understanding of God’s kingdom. Unlike earthly kingdoms that rely on power, wealth, and influence, God’s kingdom is spiritual and transcendent. May we live in such a way that others see and experience God’s kingdom through our words, actions, and attitudes. Let us continually seek His presence, allowing His kingdom to reign in every aspect of our lives until the day when His kingdom comes in its fullness.
A woman, after 18 years of pain a debilitation, was healed by Jesus! Whether through physical healing, spiritual renewal, or acts of compassion, the glorious works of Jesus inspire us to glorify God with sincere and joyful thanksgiving. May we, like the woman and the crowd, recognize and rejoice in the marvelous things Jesus is doing in our midst, ever grateful for His boundless grace and mercy. Living lives of praise and worship to God!
Today we find that a fig tree that doesn’t bear fruit will be cut down. It is a parable that has significance for all of us today! It appears that if we aren’t bearing fruit we will be cut down as well… Yet, there is hope! Even for the barren fig tree, there was a chance for renewal, for growth, and for fruitfulness. God offers us the same opportunity through His Son Jesus Christ. Through repentance, prayer, and a deepening of our relationship with God, we can experience spiritual renewal and begin to bear fruit that is for our good and that glorifies God.
Repentance is not just a momentary decision but a continuous journey of turning away from sin and turning towards God. Repentance is at the heart of the Gospel message, echoing the words of John the Baptist who proclaimed, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2, NASB). It is an invitation to experience God’s grace, mercy, and transformation.
Throughout the pages of the Bible, we encounter countless examples of God’s unwavering love for His children. From the sacrificial love displayed on the cross by our Savior, Jesus Christ, to the countless instances of divine provision, protection, and guidance, we see a consistent theme: God’s love knows no bounds. It is a love that pursues us relentlessly, even in our darkest moments, offering hope, redemption, and healing.
As we delve deeper into today’s sermon, let us open our hearts to receive this profound truth: that we are deeply loved, unconditionally accepted, and irreplaceably precious in the sight of our Heavenly Father. Let’s explore the profound symbolism of spiritual clothing as depicted in the Word of God. Just as we clothe ourselves physically, the Bible urges us to adorn ourselves with spiritual garments that reflect our identity as followers of Christ.
Pastor Brett gives a quick prophecy update on current events in the Middle East and a soul searching message on what we need in these times to be wise Christians. We need to keep our lamps lit and have that ‘extra oil’ to give light to a dark world.
And that Light is the Holy Spirit Baptizing and empowering and gifting us! And He speaks to us and leads us!
Pastor Brett said, ‘God put this on my heart this morning – Silence is what allows your heart to talk to your head. In the tranquility of silence, the noise of the world fades, and the stillness becomes a sacred space where the heart finds its voice. It is in this hushed sanctuary that the heart converses with the mind, where introspection and reflection intertwine, shaping clarity amid life’s tumultuous journey. As the noise subsides, the Holy Spirit finds room to speak, guiding with gentle whispers that resonate through the soul. In the hush of silence, amidst the whispering winds, the Spirit’s presence is felt, leading with divine wisdom and grace, illuminating the path forward with divine guidance. As Romans 8:14 reveals, “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”‘
In the bustling tapestry of life, amidst the clamor of worldly pursuits and the ceaseless chase after material possessions, there exists a profound truth, a timeless message that echoes through the corridors of human history: the Kingdom of God.
It is a kingdom not of this world, yet its impact reverberates through every facet of our existence. In our text today, we encounter Jesus Christ imparting invaluable wisdom to His disciples and the multitude gathered around Him.
Within these verses, we find Jesus’ teaching to the rich, the nature of true wealth, the folly of earthly pursuits, and the blessing of seeking first the Kingdom of God.
We will talk a little about St. Patrick’s day, and dive into Luke 12:1-12. In this passage, Jesus speaks directly to His disciples, warning them about the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and the coming persecution the church will face. And how, even with faced with death, we must not deny Jesus!
Jesus condemns the legalism of the Pharisees and the Scribes. It’s all about love, not legalistic rules of men!!

God is light, and as born again believers we become children of light. What does that all mean? Pastor Brett digs deep into Luke 11:32-36.
Jesus will clarify who His mother, brothers, and sisters are. And we will find they are not just His blood relatives! All who put their faith in Jesus and have His Word, and are obedient to the Word, are part of God’s family!
Beloved, we live in a world where spiritual darkness seeks to infiltrate every corner of our lives and has infiltrated many churches. In our text today, Jesus describes a scenario of a man who was delivered from an unclean spirit.
Yet, rather than filling the void left by its departure with the presence of God, the house is left empty, inviting the unclean spirit to return with seven others, leaving the man in a worse state than before.
That spiritual void in every human being must be filled with something – either the Holy Spirit, a demonic spirit, or some idol a person pursues more than God. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Yet, we are not without hope.
For the same power that delivered the man in this passage is available to us today through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

In our text today, we encounter a seeker of eternal life, a lawyer, who poses a significant question to Jesus, asking, ‘Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ It is a question that resonates with each of us, for we all seek the assurance of our salvation. But in response, our Lord doesn’t simply offer a direct answer. Instead, He imparts this profound truth through a story—a parable—a story of a wounded traveler, two indifferent religious leaders, and a compassionate Good Samaritan. As we delve into the depths of this narrative, we will uncover what this often misunderstood parable really means – and who we need to give assistance to.
What to do when you encounter a homeless person or beggar
A follow up to today’s sermon – being a good Samaritan. If you come across a beggar or homeless person, before you help them, ask them if they have any family or a Church home. Get their phone numbers and call the family to come help them!!! Get the Church number and call their Church to come help them!!! Ask who their last employer was and the name of the supervisor and tell them you are going to call to verify – if they won’t give you this information they most likely are not legit! Ask for a friends name and phone number if they say they have no family or no work. If they don’t have any friends, or family, or work places or church – they are most likely choosing this lifestyle. If someone is in distress and truly wants help, they will give you phone numbers or at least names so you can look up and call and vet them. If they refuse, do not give them anything (unless God puts it on your heart to do so). If you feel God leading you to help a homeless person, here are some resources. Daisy vs Tulip. The great debate. And in a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, it is essential to turn to the unchanging and unwavering Word of God to find hope, purpose, and direction.
Today, we gather here to explore a profound truth that is woven throughout the pages of Scripture, a truth that speaks directly to the nature of our loving and merciful God – the truth that God desires all men and women to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth!
Luke 10:20, Jesus reminds us, “Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
This underscores the supremacy of our salvation in Christ over any other achievement or blessing. We find our greatest joy in the fact that our names are recorded in heaven, written in the book of life for all eternity.
This joy should overflow in our lives and be a testimony to the world of the hope and assurance we have in Him.
The harvest field of souls in need of salvation is abundant, and it is our divine commission to bring Jesus into the lives of those who are seeking hope and purpose. Just as farmers labor diligently in their fields, we must toil in the spiritual harvest, sowing the seeds of God’s Word and reaping souls for His kingdom. Our lives should reflect His light and love, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for indeed, the world around us needs Him desperately.
Following Christ is not without its challenges and sacrifices, but the blessings and joy that come with it far outweigh any difficulties. It is a journey filled with purpose, peace, love, and the promise of an everlasting relationship with our Savior.
As we navigate our journey of faith, may we always keep our eyes fixed on the Savior, knowing that the eternal rewards of His kingdom are worth every sacrifice we make in His name
Humility is a virtue that has the capacity to transform lives, mend broken relationships, and draw us closer to the very heart of God. It is a power often underestimated in a world that frequently values self-promotion and pride. Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.”
Proverbs 22:4 “The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor, and life.” Humility is not weakness; it is the strength under control. It is to surrender our will to God’s divine plan. It is an acknowledgment that we are entirely dependent on Him!

Today, we delve into a miraculous event that speaks to the boundless compassion and provision of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Luke 9:10-17, we find the account of the feeding of the five thousand. This narrative teaches us valuable lessons about Christ’s infinite care, our role in His work, and the spiritual nourishment He provides.
The feeding of the five thousand is a testimony to Christ’s compassion, provision, and the miracles He works in our lives. We just have to ask Him in faith, offering what we have, and trust that He will provide beyond our imagination.

What is the ‘Kingdom of God’ and where is it? Who has ‘ears to hears’? What does the parable of the sower mean and what is a parable?
Jesus was having dinner at a Pharisee’s house and a woman, who was a sinner, came in and starting washing Jesus feet with her tears and anointing them with expensive perfume. Jesus forgave her sin, because of her faith, and told her to go in peace – and He tells us the same thing today. God is in the business of turning the ashes of our lives into beauty.
Why are there discrepancies in scripture? In our text today, Luke says a Centurion sent a group of Jewish elders to ask Jesus to heal his servant, but Matthew says the Centurion came himself to ask Jesus to heal him. Listen, the word of God is reliable! This will increase your faith!
Jesus teaches on the law of reciprocity, and the importance of abiding in Him to bear fruit and obeying His commands to be blessed!

We are all sent (that’s what Apostle means – one who is sent) and empowered by the Spirit to be Ambassadors of light to a lost and hurting world! Further, we are royal priests and children of God! You are loved!
Prayer is important! But there are eight reasons in scripture that tell us why God doesn’t answer some prayers
Jesus educates the the Pharisees – their traditions are not God’s commands and a New Covenant is coming!
Jesus reveals who He is to a gathering of Priests and heals the leper and the paralytic!
In our text today, Jesus will call Peter, James and John to be His disciples and they leave everything to follow Him. We also get a glimpse at Jesus Christ’s prayer life.
In our text today Jesus will declare He is the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One! But they reject Him and try to kill Him.
Jesus starts His public ministry! In our text today Jesus reveals His 5-point mission of earth and reveals He is the Messiah!
The last temptation of Jesus – and He stood on the ‘pinnacle of the Temple’ and Satan asked Him to jump!!! Where is the pinnacle of the Temple? Pastor Brett shows you exactly where it is! And we discover 8 ways to conquer sin, Satan, and the cares of this world! You can do this with the power of Jesus behind you!
The second temptation Satan temps Jesus with is the whole world! Yes, Satan offered to give the whole world to Jesus if Jesus would bow to him! We will find that Satan is the God and ruler of this world right now! And all evil and sickness and pain and death is the result of sin and Satan and it’s not God’s will! God’s will is not being fully done on earth yet – don’t believe this? Pastor Brett gives all the scriptures that explain it simply and plainly.
God can’t be tempted but Jesus was tempted in all things, just like we are, yet without sin. Digging deep into when Satan tempted Jesus for 40 days in the wilderness. Part 1 this week and we will finish our in depth look at this next week.
One of the big problems with the New Testament is the differences between the genealogies of Jesus between Matthew and Luke. After Abraham, they both have two different genealogies! Pastor Brett unpacks and clarifies exactly why…
John the Baptist was a powerful preacher. In fact, Jesus said: Luke 7:27 "This is the one about whom it is written, 'BEHOLD, I SEND MY MESSENGER AHEAD OF YOU, WHO WILL PREPARE YOUR WAY BEFORE YOU.' Luk 7:28 "I say to you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John (the Baptist)." He was so empowered by the Spirit of God that even the Sadducees and Pharisees were coming to get baptized by John! And he proclaimed the Gospel!
We don't know a lot about Jesus' childhood, but in our text today we see Him at the Temple talking to the Priests, Sages, and teachers when He was 12 years old. And, we have the first recorded words of Jesus in the New Testament!
Mark and John have nothing to say about the events that happened after the Birth of Jesus. But between Luke and Matthew’s narratives, we get exactly what took place.
Jesus was most likely born around September 25, 8 B.C. On or about Rosh Hashanah - the Feast of Trumpets.
Going deep in a study on the Last Supper, The Lord's Table, Communion, Passover, and the Bread of Life!
What year was Jesus born? Believe it or not, there is a huge debate on this and some even question the veracity of scripture because of it. Pastor Brett digs deep and discovers the best date for our Lord's birth!
In our study today, we will find that Jesus said there is no one greater, of all the men who had been born to this point, than John the Baptist. And then He says, 'the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he'. How are we greater than John the Baptist?
Only three people (excluding Jesus) were 'filled with the Holy Spirit' (in the New Testament) prior to the resurrection of Jesus. But that was a temporary filling for a specific purpose. After Pentecost, we become the temple of the Holy Spirit and we are constantly filled with the Spirit all the time!
The most amazing event in the history of the universe! God the Son, emptied Himself of His divine attributes and became a developing embryo in Mary's womb! The creator became part of His creation! It's called the 'Kenosis'. What did Jesus empty Himself of? How did God the Son become a man? Pastor Brett digs deep and brings out what the Bible has to say on the matter of the incarnation and kenosis.CORRECTION: Thank you Alan Bennett for pointing this out! Pastor Brett was exhausted when he put this sermon together and even when he preached it. Jesus did not get His divine attributes back at the transfiguration. He will not get them back until after the resurrection.
The pundits and many Pastors say that you have to have doubt to have faith. Listen, that is NOT Biblical. True faith is the absence of doubt! And if you doubt, the Bible is clear, there are consequences. Like, your prayers won't be answered, and God will bring about circumstances to grow your blind belief (or doubt) into true faith! Faith is Belief + Proof! Get ready to grow your faith!
Elijah the Prophet had to come before Jesus to prepare the people to receive the Messiah. Luke starts his Gospel with how that happened, taking off right where the Old Testament left off in the last two verses Malachi 4. But Jesus said Elijah will come again to do the same thing in the last days! Let's dive deep into the second (or possible third if we count John the Baptist) coming of Elijah the Prophet.
Luke gives us the exact time frame that Jesus was born! And it's not December! Also, John's dad gets the privilege to burn the incense in the Holy Place of the Temple - where we get to go every time we pray! The Throne and Worship of the Creator 5 Out from the throne came flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. Message to Laodicea 14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

13‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold firmly to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14But I have a few things against you, because you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a [a]stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality. 15So you too, have some who in the same way hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will wage war against them with the sword of My mouth. 17The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
