By the Bering Sea is a Series of Story Telling and Adventures for people young and old. We are all human beings related in someway to one another and connected to the land. We are brothers and sisters under one sun and one moon. May we live in peace.
The Beatitudes-Part 1 Matthew 5: 1-12, These are the Attitudes, the nature, and the aspirations that Jesus teaches those who would citizens of His Kingdom.
Key Questions: How do I know I am saved? How do I know that I am Going to Heaven? What is the assurance of our salvation? Key Verse: 1 John 2:3
Key Question: What can we do to express our love for Jesus ? Key Verses: John 14:15 and John 15:10.
Key Questions: How do we live our Faith? How do I step out into the world today and follow in the steps of Jesus? It’s time to draw a line in the sand, step across that line, and live and act like a true Follower of Jesus. Key Verse: James 1:22.
Key Question: What do we need to change about ourselves to follow Jesus? Key Verse: Romans chapter twelve verse two.
The Church is the Body of Christ. Key Question: What does it mean when we say, “The Church is the Body of Christ?”Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:27.
Segment 3, Chapter Nine: The most important other person. Be a Romeo at home instead of in the woods.
The Key Question: What is Radical Obedience? Key Verse: John chapter 14, verse 21. Memory Verse: John chapter 15, verse 13.
Key Question: What is the new life in Christ. Key Verse: John 1:12, the Bible says, but as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on his name.
Segment Three, Chapter Eight. “Good Or Bad, You Pass it On.... Middle Kids are Different.
Key Question: What Separates is from God? The Same thing that separated Jesus from God. Key Verse: Matthew 26:46 .
Be a bearer of the Light. How can I most effectively help others become a follower of Jesus? Key Verse: Philippians 2:13, “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
How do we know that we know God? Key Verse: John 14:6- “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except that he goes through me.”

When I stumble, how do I get back up after the fall? Key Verse: 1 John 2:1, My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, he has an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one.
Little Tree learns life’s hardest lessons, on his own, when he goes to the store and spends his fifty cents. Grandpa says that life’s hardest lessons are to be experienced and learned. The Bible says that all things work to together for good.for those who love the Lord.
“In this world but not of this world.” How do we live in this world as Christians, “Followers of Jesus,” and live and work with non-believers? Key Verse: Psalms 69:4, “They hated me without a cause.”
The Background for Two Old Women and the brief biography of Velma Wallis, A Native Athabaskan tribal member. The story takes place not to far from here in south western Alaska along the banks of the Yukon River and Fort Yukon.
What is my calling? How can I serve God? Key Verse: “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Sadness among the People, the band of people who left the two old women to die returned to the campsite where they left them only to find not even a trace of evidence that they had died where they left them.

Is there a central goal to life? The Key Verse for this study is Zephaniah 3:17, The Lord your God is in your midst, The mighty one will save you, He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
Sharing Little Tree, grandma said when you come on something good, first thing to do is to share it with whoever you can find, that way the good spreads out no telling where it will go. Which is right.

To abide in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ abiding in you is the Heart of the Christian Life. How to stay close to Jesus. Key Verse: John chapter 15, verse 5, Jesus said, “I am the vine you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.”
Walk worthy of what God has called you to be! Key Verse: Ephesians chapter four, verse one, “walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called.”

How I am supposed to live the Christian Life in this day and age? Key Verse: John 16:7, Jesus’ Promise: “If I depart to Heaven I will send him to you.”
When will the good changes in my life begin? KEY VERSE: 1John 4:4, He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

What can I expect on my journey? Br confident in the fact that the Bible says that what’s happens to you in your life here on earth that Jesus is with you.
In this book, I want to share with you a short daily Bible Study for the next one hundred one days. I pray, and I believe that you will be blessed by it.
The Prelude is the introduction to the book “The Steps to Following Jesus.” The Book is written by Mr. Donnie Browning Ed.S., MA., BA. Mr. Browning is a Teacher, an Educational Specialist in Leadership, a Youth Group Leader, and the Executive Director of Community Christian Academy Lifelong Learning Center.
In chapter 17 there are several reunions and the author solves some of the central storylines of the legend. In the oral tradition of her people the author shares the history of the traditional legends of the two main characters in the legend.
Chapter 15 is titled revenge. In chapter 15 you will listen and read about how Bird Girl is faced with circumstances that forces her to decide about staying with Chickwaii or leaving and returning to her people. In Chapter 16 Daagoo is faced with same choices.
Daagoo had finally reached the Land of the Sun and he found many pleasures in this land. He was able to live comfortably and easily off the sea and the beaches. He also discovered a woman with a new born child in this land and this changed his life.
After five years of living with the new band, Daagoo watched the youth that he trained mature into young men, take wives and start families. Daagoo himself remained single and took care of his mother, but his heart desired to follow his dream.
Bird Girl continues to live in misery and in oppression by her Ch’eekwaii captor Turak. Turak continues to abuse Bird Girl and after forcing himself upon her she becomes pregnant with his child and gives birth to a baby boy. Turak’s son.
In the beginning of winter Daagoo, his mother, and mostly women and children who were left in the band struggle to survive without the men who were slaughtered by the Ch’eekwaii hunters while they were lying down to sleep.
After Daagoo discovered his father and the other men from his clan murdered by their rival tribe. He must race them quickly away from their enemies and then start a new camp far away from their old and race to build shelter, collect and catch food, and make warm clothes for themselves. It truly was a race between life and death.
Bird Girl runs away from her tribal band and heads off in the wilderness to prove herself a worthy hunter and survivor. She makes her ways to the mountains where the caribou make their winter home.
