Reimagining the Bible: Recent Episodes

Each episode explores a major story in the Bible and reimagines it from a 21st century mindset to discover what these stories mean for believers today. Almost every episode is recorded in front of a live audience and they are allowed to join the discussion. This leads to very intriguing questions that listeners may have as well and great conversations about the meaning and application of these stories.
How do we respond to those that have different opinion in us? In Acts, we learn this important truth.
As Saul begins his walk with Jesus, he encounters a man that is instrumental in his early walk with Jesus, and helps him become the disciple God is calling him to be.
When Saul became Paul after meeting Jesus, everything changed for him. When we dive into this story, we learn what should change in our lives as well after we surrender them to Jesus.
We may not worship statues today, but we still have idols that take priority in our hearts. Who or what reigns supreme in your heart today?

Every day we are making investments in people whether want want to or not. The question is what type of investments are you making and are you making them in the right people?

The letter to the Church in Thyatira addresses two groups within the church. One group is living righteously while the other group has begun practicing the sinful teachings of a false teacher within the church. There are great warnings and promises from Jesus in this letter that apply to believers today.
The Church in the United States is very similar to the church in Pergamum in that we tend to keep our faith to ourselves. We may not participate in the sinful acts of the world around us, but we also don't try and lead the world around us to repentance. However, this is not our mission as Christians, and Jesus points that out in this letter.
The church in Smyrna was severely persecuted. However, they remained faithful through it all. What lessons can we learn from this church about the persecution Christians are facing today and what type of response we should have?
