Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law (SB-4C) to dissolve the Reedy Creek District to punish Disney for their speech and actions against the Florida Parental Rights In Education law. Disney enjoyed special land privileges and taxes for more than 50 years. But is this retaliation by DeSantis good? A closer look at the law reveals that the dissolving of the Reedy Creek District won't occur until June 1, 2023, and Disney can reapply for the special land privileges beginning on June 1, 2023. Also, existing Florida law may prevent this law from doing anything. This new law could be a bunch of nothing. However, if the new law passes legal muster, residents of Orange County and Osceola County could be left holding the bag.

The Flat Earth movement has grown over the last 5 years. I got swept up in it recently, but not as a Flat Earther; instead, as a defender of a globe/spherical Earth. Over the course of my defense of a globe/spherical Earth, I discovered there is a growing cohort of Christians that believe in a Flat Earth. These Christians believe in a Flat Earth because they believe in a literal translation of the Bible, despite the idioms, metaphors and contradictions in the Bible. There is also a group of Flat Earth Christians that believe in a Flat Earth because they don’t trust the government and prefer conspiracy theories about NASA, or they believe a globe/spherical Earth is a theory designed by Satan to hide God. I argue that it is a Flat Earth that HIDES GOD. God performs miracles, and his power and wonder is beyond our understanding. Denying the science of a globe/spherical Earth minimizes the power and wonder of God. It plants a seed of doubt that may one day bear a poisonous fruit during times of chaos.

Is it fair to biological females when transgender females compete against them in sport? Transgender females versus biological females is not about Equality. It is about Fairness. Why are there so few famous biological female athletes against transgender females competing against biological females? Women fought for their rights in sports, and secured their rights with Title IX in 1972 and 1975. Where are the feminists now? Female athletics will no longer exist if this issue continues. Is the U.S. secure? Does the national security of the United States have vulnerabilities? What are the U.S. vulnerabilities with regard to foreign trade? This episode focuses on the national security vulnerability for the United States due to the reliance of specific imported goods. Oil, PPE, pharmaceuticals and technology. The pandemic revealed the United States relies too much on China for PPE and pharmaceuticals, and too much on Russia and other adversaries for oil. How can the United States alter their foreign trade deals to secure the country? One way is to transition strategic goods from offshore to onshore--produced/created in the United States.
In order to do this, elected officials, bureaucrats and the private sector will need to be in agreement that a higher cost is worth it to protect the United States of America.

President Biden delivered his first State Of The Union address, and it fell flat. The Biden Administration only had two victories in 2021: American Rescue Plan and Infrastructure. President Biden failed to take responsibility for the bad of his Administration in 2021, and Biden outright didn't address issues important to the American people. Biden only briefly spoke about the effects of COVID, and COVID guidelines and requirements. Biden also only briefly spoke about inflation which is at 7.5 percent. Biden failed to mention gun violence rates. Biden failed to address the record-breaking number of illegal immigrant encounters at our Southern Border. Biden concluded by stating, "The State of The Union is strong because you, the American people, are strong."

Identity Politics was a prominent national story 2-4 years ago, but it never stopped. Identity Politics has been simmering and impacting the American culture. Identity Culture has two sides: Good and Bad. The Good is what we should strive for as Americans. The Bad is what we see, hear and experience. The Bad is about division and power.

Progressivism began as a movement in response to the bad of the industrialization of the United States. The goal of the original Progressivism was to move to more equal social conditions for Americans consistent with the original American principles. There were Republican and Democrat progressives. Today, Progressivism is no longer about progress to improve, it is about progress to move farther down the path until the issue falls off of a cliff.
