UUCOV Radio's Mission UUCOV Radio exists to broadcast programs and services embodying the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism to the larger community. In addition to spreading the message of Unitarian Universalism, UUCOV Radio seeks to promote the arts and to focus on the needs and challenges of the local community.
We've all been through plenty of change during our lifetimes--personal, technological, and societal. But the pace of change has accelerated very sharply in recent years, and may now be exceeding our capacity to adapt in time. Thomas Friedman strongly suggests this in his latest (he says maybe his last) book -- "Thank You for Being Late". This book is essentially a survival guide for this new age. His solutions (more co-operation and collaboration, and more interaction at the local, grass roots level) have also been espoused by more conservative writers such as Charles Murray.
Dale and Marilyn Povenmire related the highlights of their diplomatic service during the years of the Cold War. In their combined Foreign Service careers they had assignments to ten U.S. embassies and consulates on four continents.
