Dr. Payne now serves as a guest professor in seminaries around the world, equipping future pastors and leaders with gospel-centered teaching. His work through TIER continues to be one of our church’s meaningful missionary partnerships.

In this episode, you will hear the final message that I brought to our congregation on New Year's Eve in December of 2023. You will hear in my voice that I was a little under the weather, but God is faithful. I pray that this message will bring encouragement and focus for you in your walk with our saviour.

In this episode, we are going to take a trip back to one of the sermons that I preached in December of 2023. This really is a "Christmas Sermon", but very applicable in all seasons of life. I pray that God blesses and encourages you through this message.

Important Note: Some of the insights and key points in this episode were inspired by Pastor Terry Anderson of Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX, and his powerful sermon “The Theology of a Thief.” I’m grateful for his faithful preaching and the way his words continue to stir hearts and shape sermons—including this one.

This episode features our friend Anthony Hubbard, who is the founder and creator of The Knights of The Men of Iron. Men of Iron is an organization that uses the color and traditions of the knight of the middle ages, so that young men and seasoned men gather monthly to work side by side in their church, working to become knights in service to our Lord, the High King of all Creation, Jesus Christ.

Through brotherhood, discipleship, mentoring, and fellowship, Men of Iron will sharpen men both young and old to greater service to the King. This is accomplished during our monthly household meetings, work meetings, and tournament practice. Each of these provides a time of fellowship where men young and old can connect and learn from each other while receiving instruction in various skills and crafts related to the theme of Men of Iron, and spiritual development through the presentation of devotions and mentoring.

Anthony goes into great detail about the journey that led him to the realization of a need for such an organization. The MAN at Arms Podcast is very thankful to Anthony for taking the time to share his vision. We want to be a great supporter of this organization.
