Many things around us escape our understanding. The unexplained hauntings of families and their children. The motive of horrific serial killers. The strange lights in our sky that we attribute to UFOs and extraterrestrials. The terrifying sightings of cryptids. The urban legends of things so horrific they’ve never been seen. The world in which we live is a dark and twisted place.
Whether it is something we can see outright, or something that we choose not to believe. They are very real. For these are my stories, the Paranormal, Supernatural, Occult, True Crime, Alien, Conspiracy, Cryptids and the Unexplained.
Join me each Tuesday as we discover a new dark chapter. I’m Nick, your host, and this is the Insidious Agenda Podcast.

For the next few weeks we'll embark upon a journey. Our journey will take us through the story of Borrasca. A reddit/NoSleep Creepy Pasta from the mind of Rebecca Klingel (a.k.a. C.K. Walker).
Borrasca is set in the fictional town of Drisking, Missouri. Sam Walker, a young boy, moves to the area with his family after his father was recently let go from his job under strange circumstances. Sam befriends local children Kyle and Kimber and the trio share many exciting adventures during their first summer together.
While investigating a really cool treehouse just before school starts, the kids' fun is drowned out by a strange metallic grinding - that which Kimber only describes as "Borrasca." Sam is curious and over the next several months, hears the sounds again and again, from some unknown location high up on the mountain; a property owned by the well-off Prescott family. Borrasca comes in to the forefront when Sam's sister Whitney goes missing. But who is Borrasca? Or better yet, what is Borrasca? You'll just have to listen in to find out!
Over the next several weeks, I'll take you with me as I read you the exciting legend from the mind of Rebecca Klingel. A story that, in 2015, was labelled the NoSleep subreddit's scariest story. So come along if you dare! Borrasca is waiting.

We'll hear the eerie accounts of personal encounters and unfolding a world of mysteries that have been captivating humanity for decades.
Join us as we revisit the spine-tingling incident of 1948, when an unidentified craft was spotted near Madisonville, leading to the tragic demise of Captain Thomas Mantell in his pursuit to approach the enigmatic entity. We'll dive deep into the theories that were spun around this event, and the ripple effect it had on the media and public. Then, we'll hear the story of two airline pilots who watched as something zoomed by their window, the Chiles-Whitted encounter. The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Season One Ending: A Message to my Listeners
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Idea Submissions and Well wishes: insidiousagendapodcast@gmail.com
Hello Everyone,
I know this isn't the episode you were expecting to find this week, but it's one that was necessary. The bottom line up front is that I'm going on a break, i'll be returning for the 1 year anniversary special on June 28th. I know, I know, I'm "breaking the podcast" code, hence why I'm going on break with this message rather than "ghosting" everyone.
This message is awesome, have a listen; there is a lot of thanks and praise for you therein! After 50 episodes, I'm taking a break for the next two months. The reasons are contained in the episode, but mainly - I need a bit of reinvigoration from the burn out I'm feeling, I need to amend the current release format and I'd like to take some time and work on my book that I have been writing (it's, so far, an amazing fantasy novel!).
I will be back June 28th, that's a promise! In the meantime, I'll be scripting 10 new episodes for season 2 and (as of now) doing at least 1 guest interview. So exciting things are coming, but for now I just need to breathe deeply and refocus.
I AM coming back! Please feel free to e-mail the podcast's e-mail above with any episode ideas, guest ideas and well wishes you might have and I would love to explore them with you.
In all, I'm extremely grateful for the love and support thus far and I look forward to bringing you new content when I return.
But for now, it's time to close the cover of the Insidious Agenda. I'll see you on June 28th and thanks very much for listening!
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 40 - Good Luck. Goodbye. The Mystery of Cicada 3301
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello Everyone,
Here we are again for another chapter of the Insidious Agenda Podcast. Chapter 40, hard to believe I'd ever make it this far. I'll admit, I'm definitely feeling the same things most claim to early on with the production deadlines, etc. I'm also currently involved in the PSAC Union General Strike here in Canada. Hopefully we'll have a resolution to that soon, but until that time, life is a bit more hectic than normal.
That being said, i'm pleased to bring you a new episode; something i'm sure a lot of people are unfamiliar with although there may be some listeners who get their memory jogged from this and remember the early-mid 2010's Cicada 3301 puzzle.
I find the whole story to be fascinating. Both, in terms of how in depth the puzzles were and how much they drew from literature, numerology, symbolism and even going so far as to touch on the Occult. We might never get to know who Cicada 3301 was, or were. But nonetheless, they left us with one of the most clever and confounding mysteries the internet has ever seen.
I know, this episode is much shorter than normal; however I have a good (and really cool/awesome reason for it). I'm going to be away next weekend, so I'm having to draft/produce/release two podcast episodes in a one week timeline. It almost feels like there's a special long weekend coming up, but i'm not so lucky.
I'll be headed down to Calgary, Alberta on Friday afternoon in anticipation of the Calgary Fan Expo. No, i'm not involved or doing anything "podcasty" there. I'm going to meet the one and only Anakin Skywalker. That's right, THE Hayden Christensen. I'm incredibly excited. I don't know what i'll say yet, but maybe just something to the tune of, "thanks for helping make growing up awesome!" Either way, i'll definitely get to have my "fan girl" moment :)
So that's it for this week. I hope you enjoy the mystery of Cicada 3301! Until next time.
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 39 - Le baiser de la Mort - Gilles de Rais
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hey!
Welcome back for the newest chapter of the Podcast. This week, I take you back into history to the 1400's and the time of history's believed first serial killer, Gilles de Rais.
The story is that of a French nobleman who rose to prominence fighting alongside fabeled heroine Joan of Arc. How Gilles de Rais went from having an unparalleled reputation to being the convicted murderer of over 100 children across the span of 10 years is all answered within.
But the story is not without controversy and even into modern day, some even believe he is innocent and fight for that innocence. As to why, i'll let you discover that for yourself.
I mention of a break in the episode for those who don't want the gory/sadistic details of why Gilles de Rais is who he is.
Break: 22:15
Return: 27:39
For those who don't skip, you'll hear the details that pertain to sexual acts with children and violent, gruesome murder. Those details that made Gilles de Rais the first serial killer in History.
That's all I have for this week, I hope you enjoy listening!
Stay spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 38 - The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello Again!
Thanks for finding your way back. Whether or not you celebrated Easter last weekend, I hope you enjoyed the (long) weekend nonetheless. It was absolutely beautiful here in Alberta and it's nice to see the temperatures beginning to rise again. I can finally see my grass on the lawn and that's a big deal!
On to darker themes. Where it was a religious weekend (admittedly i'm not religious) I wanted to do an episode that had biblical themes. It's not a preachy, ecclesiastical episode about the word of God, but more me talking about a certain aspect of the Book of Revelation and the end of days. So, I decided on the story of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The concepts they each represent is fascinating, especially when you draw comparisons to our world and many historical events.
It's not the longest episode as I too wanted/am enjoying my Easter weekend and truth be told, there's not a whole lot to unpack outside of face value with this story. As with anything in religious text, there is a lot to dig into with symbolism and comparison however I decided to stick more to the story than getting into the weeds symbolically.
Nonetheless, it was a great episode to research and a topic I did find fascinating. I hope you enjoy the story presented this week! Also, on my Outros for the Podcast, i'm not going to outline the episode coming the following week because (if you haven't guessed by now) sometimes I change my mind - all depends on what the flavour of the week is and what I really want to dig in to. Some episodes take a lot more time to research than others so I have quiet a few partially written that are longer term projects.
I am planning, in the near future, to do a month of episodes that are "obscure" stories. Nothing strange or weird but more stories that aren't high profile paranormal, true crime, alien cases, etc. There was actually a great amount of interest in the "Fire Spook of Caledonia Mills" episode - a story almost no one (even in Nova Scotia) knows. So I look forward to bringing you more stories like that soon. I've also been actively seeking out guests to bring on the show but it's a lot harder to wrangle them than you might think :)
Anyway - enjoy the episode about the Four Horsemen and i'll talk to you again next week!
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 37 - Bringing a Nation to its Knees, The Columbine Massacre
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
There's no easy way to say this. This episode is tragic, it's sad and the content is hard to get through. This is the story of the Columbine Massacre of 1999 that most are familiar with through Mike Myers' famous Documentary - Bowling for Columbine.
In today's episode, I'll tell you many stories. The background of the assailants, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. The timeline of events that day which was published by Jefferson County Sherriff's Department and, in memoriam, I'll tell you about each of the students and faculty that lost their lives (of which there were 13); the latter part was hard to get through, and you'll hear that in my voice - I left it in, because I believe that the emotion is important.
In the episode you'll hear actual recordings taken during the events at the school. Police Dispatch, calls to 911 and even the call from a teacher taking shelter in the library shortly before she came face to face with Eric and Dylan.
For takeaways, as mentioned in the forword, I'm not using the recent events in Nashville to pick up extra downloads for this episode. I'm doing this episode because these things are still happening. Near 24 years to the day from Columbine and mass school shootings are still taking place. Above all, I want you to feel. The sadness, the heartbreak, the devastation and compassion for those involved.
After all, children should be safe to go to school and one life lost is too many.
Until next week - be safe,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 36 - Sarah's Labyrinth, The Winchester Mystery House
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello Beautiful People,
So before you get started with this episode, be prepared to clear your mind and come in with an open mind. In this episode you'll hear a story and then i'll change it on you with what really happened. This is because the story of Sarah Winchester that's told today differs from what actually happened.
Though the narrative that the house is a haunted haven for all those who died at the hand of a Winchester Rifle (thanks 2018) is the one most people are familiar with - it simply wasn't Sarah. As i'll try to convince you of, before the end, Sarah Winchester was just an isolated old woman who had suffered through so many tragedies in her younger years that she chose to spend the ones she had left in solitude. Continuing to build a project (yes, with a supernatural twist) that was set upon her by her late husband William.
In all honesty, Sarah seemed like a kind woman who only ever wanted to do good, was good to others and wanted to see everyone benefit from the fortune of the Winchester estate. Hopefully this episode will help change some of the narrative on who Sarah Winchester really was. So, if you want to hear for yourself the story of Sarah's Labyrinth, The Winchester Mystery House, all you have to do is hit play!
Interestingly enough, as I mention in the episode, this story forms a duality with the story of Delphine LaLaurie from the previous episode. Amazing the lines that are drawn between two well-to-do women and how their stories ended up.
So, I hope you enjoy listening and a special thanks to Sarah herself for making an incredible house in which new mysteries are being discovered today!
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 35 - Madame LaLaurie & the Haunted Mansion of New Orleans
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello Hello,
This episode is dedicated to my friend Vicky. She was the first person I ever told about my podcast when I was first envisioning it. When I asked what story she wanted to hear, this was the one. So Vicky, this episode is for you!
I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. I have quite the story this week. It's a story in the same vein as the story of Elizabeth Bathory and Lizzie Borden - both of whom i've covered already. It's a story where historical true crime meets modern day paranormal.
The only way I can sum up this story is that it's horrifying. The attrocities committed by someone that society wouldn't normally except hammer home the lesson that we need to learn from the sins of our past. The Socialite Serial Killer of New Orleans - Madame Marie Delphine LaLaurie (née Macarty) is one of the most horrific serial killers i've come across in my writings of these episodes. Especially, when you consider it was against those enslaved to her family.
I really hope you enjoy this episode. Some of the content is tough to listen to. It's a dark stain on our history, but lessons we can learn from nonetheless.
So I hope you enjoy listening - see you again next week!
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
The Folklore Appendices: Dark Legends of Ireland
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
First off, a happy St. Patrick's Day to those celebrating. I don't believe i've had anyone listen in to the Podcast from Ireland yet - so this might be the first. If you have any Irish friends - flip them a link to the episode. I'd be interested to hear what they think and if I did the stories justice.
Like most holidays, I always want to put out a second episode to say thanks to you all for listening and also because it offers the opportunity to hear from different cultures around the world. We're fascinated by the drinking aspect that comes from Irish culture on St. Patrick's Day, but we never hear of their terrifying stories rooted in Celtic belief.
So, that's where I come in with three different stories. The first is the story of the Banshee, likely the one that most are familiar with due to it's screaming and the many sayings that come with its name. I wanted to cover this one for a friend who told me once that she was given that nickname. The second, is one of the more interesting deities in legend - the Morrigan. A shapeshifting Goddess of battle whose cry forebode death. The third, is another of Bram Stoker's inspirations for Count Dracula, the story of the evil, undead dwarf King known as Abartach.
So there you have it! Another episode is coming your way on Tuesday per normal, but hopefully this will get your St. Patrick's Day started right and I wish you a wonderful, joyous celebration (if you're taking part).
Sláinte and Erin Go Bragh!

Chapter 34 - The Hellfire Club
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
I wanted to open the show notes this week by finally letting you all know that i've been set up on Podchaser so, if you feel like doing so, you can leave a review of the Podcast there. Also, there is always the option of hitting the in app review button on whatever app you're using to listen in - or, as simple as hitting the like button on YouTube. The link is in the linktree above in the show notes.
This week's episode is the first of our two this week. That's right, a special one is coming your way on St. Patrick's Day on Friday. This episode is covering the Hellfire Club - you know, the one from Stranger Things!? Wrong. This is the original the debaucherous, orgy and black magic driven secret society that worshipped Satan in a direct mockery of Christianity. It's a fascinating story of occult practice and the dark reputations that come with it.
The special episode coming will be a pseudo-folklore appendices episode covering three Irish legends. That one has been fantastic to research and script and will really be exciting!
So make sure you subscribe or follow the Podcast so you don't miss it! I have a really exciting collab episode coming your way in early may as well. It will be a two part with another podcast, so stay tuned in our socials for those details!
That's really all I have this week. I hope you're all enjoying it as much as I am. Spring is coming!
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 33 - The Fire Spook of Caledonia Mills
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
FIRST! Check out the Linktree! I changed it around, "prettied" it up and even included a site where you can leave an awesome review saying how much you love this Podcast... maybe... please... :)
I know, I know - this episode is not aliens, it's not close encounters, etc. I'll be honest out the gate, that episode is going to take a lot more work and research than I had initially thought; especially pulling stories of each type of close encounter. Plus, if I cover just the types of Close Encounters, the episode would be about 3 minutes and we'd be done. Since I wanted to do a really good job, I'll kick it down the road a ways for when I can give it its due.
This week, i'm bringing you another one of my favourite stories from my home province of Nova Scotia. It's right up there with Esther Cox and the Great Amherst Mystery for me. Nova Scotia is possibly the province in Canada with the greatest amount of history; bringing with it, many stories of hauntings and the paranormal.
Admittedly, this story was only told to me by a friend around a decade ago, only a year or so after I joined the Army and i've been fascinated by it ever since. This is the story of Mary Ellen MacDonald and her brush with a Poltergeist. The most amazing part of this, is that no one ever doubted that it was a Poltergeist who worked through Mary Ellen to near burn her family's farm to the ground.
It's an awesome story and one that has survived into modern day. What makes it even better, is that it's a story not even well known to some Nova Scotians. I really hope you enjoy listening!
For other Podcast news, St. Patrick's Day is coming up. I'll be surrounding myself on that day with no alcohol (since I don't partake) and no people (no explanation needed), enjoying the quiet serenity of my living room. I'll be off that week, so I've got time to bring you the regular episode on Tuesday; in addition to a special episode just for St. Paddy's Day that will air on Friday the 17th. So ensure you subscribe to the Podcast, because we're going all Irish next week!
I'm also hoping to bring you a collaborative True Crime episode with another Podcast in early May. A few of my initiations haven't been responded to, but that's okay; because it doesn't take away from the amazing stories I'm able to tell you each week.
As always, thanks for listening and choosing to come back to the Insidious Agenda time and again!
So that's it, that's all

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 32 - The Exorcism of Anna Ecklund
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello Hello!
Here were are, finally! The long awaited return to all things spooky and Paranormal. Our first true spooky episode since the Haunting in Connecticut episode just over a month ago. This one isn't to be missed! Regarded as possibly the most exciting exorcism in human history, this is the Exorcism of Anna Ecklund. A woman who suffered demonic possession for almost 40 years in the earlier half of the 20th century.
From the time she was 14 until she was 54, Emma Schmidt (Anna Ecklund's true name) played host to a multitude of demons - two of which, were family members! I know, it's as bad as it sounds, trust me. In this episode you'll hear about Anna's tragic teenage years, specifically how rough her home life was after the death of her mother. Then, her struggles with the restriction from her faith due to the possession and the enduring of many exorcisms over a 17 year period.
This one is truly frightening, so those who listen with children or younger kids I highly recommend you use discretion here. There are conversations read between the Exorcist and the Demons (yes, using a demonic voice - because I like to do that). It may frighten them even more so, just fair warning.
Outside of that I have a lot of awesome things coming your way in March. To give you the schedule in advance (for those who read the show notes) here you go:
March 7th: ALIEN - Close Encounters (Types and Stories)
March 14th: FOLKLORE APPENDICES - The Dark Tales of Ireland (St. Patick's Day week)
March 21st: HAUNTED HOUSES - The LaLaurie Mansion and The Winchester
March 28th: Potential Guest Interview - TBD
I hope you really enjoy listening to this episode. It's a beautifully tragic tale of one woman's fight against her inner demons (literally).
I'll talk to you again next week and as always, thanks for coming back to listen and for choosing the Insidious Agenda Podcast. It always means the world to me :)
Oh - and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss anything amazing! AND I LOVE receiving and reading all of the amazing comments that come in to my YouTube channel on each video.

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 31 - Into the Deep: Atlantis, Sirens and The Kraken
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello again my friends,
Nick here, coming back to you with another amazing and interesting episode. For this, I decided to go Nautical themed. I originally intended this episode to be solely focused on Atlantis, however I figured I would save some of the conspiracy theories and recent developments on it for another time; deciding to focus solely on Atlantis' back story.
Because that bit was so short, and the historical mystery of it all strays a bit from what I like to cover in the Podcast, I wanted to throw a few more things at you. To supplement the episode, I talk about the treacherous entities known as Sirens. How their songs affect sailors and seafarers before moving on to the big boy. The creature everyone who is a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean knows as The Kraken. But does the Kraken really exist? How did it come to be? All those questions are more are answered by just hitting play.
Outside of this, as we look not too far ahead, i'm really looking forward to the March 14th episode! I've decided, that because St. Patrick's Day is that week that I'm going to do a Folklore Appendices episode specifically on Irish folk legends. One of those covered will be the Banshee (because I have a friend whose nickname is Banshee so I hope she'll enjoy that). As for the other one or two, you'll have to wait. If there's a specific one you want to hear (or any story in general), feel free to shoot me an e-mail at insidiousagendapodcast@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!
A few brief housekeeping points before we wrap up. I would be thrilled if you could leave a review for us. Accomplished by using whichever podcast app you're streaming from (i.e. the star button through Spotify). Also - make sure you subscribe, follow, etc. because I have a really terrifying story coming next week! As for what it is, you'll have to stick around for the Outro.
One thing I wanted to circle back around to as well, and I apologize for not keeping my promise; is that I wasn't able to do a guest interview for February. Like you, life sometimes gets in the way for me. Curveballs get thrown at you and the general busyness sometimes gets in the way. That doesn't stop me from producing my weekly episode to share with all of you. As I mentioned in some of the episodes, this is my creative outlet so it's important to me that I keep the weekly promise to both you and I to come back. Because I love these stories, researching them, writing

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Folklore Appendices: Cat Stories in Folklore
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello again!
And a very happy Valentine's Day to you all. If you're not celebrating Valentine's Day or it has a different meaning to you this year, then we can all celebrate together with a new Insidious Agenda episode! If you made it to the end of last week's episode, you might be a little surprised by the subject heading for this one. I know, I promised you Atlantis and a few (more) folklore stories; however something hit me shortly after I finished editing and uploading the Alcatraz episode. It was that my next Podcast episode would be set to release on Valentine's Day; and that this year, it didn't mean love.
For those who have been with me since the beginning, or even have joined our Fellowship along the way, you know the inspiration behind me starting the Podcast. If you haven't, I outline it in my Host biography and speak on it occasionally; most prevalent is the New Year's re-cap episode.
Well, long story short, if you happen to be listening in on the 14th of February when this episode releases then it is exactly one year to the day that my wife and I said farewell to our best friend Ace as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Admittedly, it has been one of the toughest years of my life mentally. Although wounds eventually heal, the scars never do. When I find myself happening upon memories of my friend a smile comes to my face. However, if I linger too long that smile turns into tears. I miss my friend dearly and felt it prevalent to do something in his memory.
Ace was the one that taught me to be creative from watching him play. He taught me to not take things too seriously and I have let go of many cares for things I once thought were important (work, politics, religion, etc.). He taught me to be loving and to be happy to see people (things I'm still working on). He taught me to be myself, and to be honest in being myself. I attribute so many things to his lessons and him having been a part of my life.
So you can enjoy Ace's memory as well, I am dedicating this episode to him. It's fitting that it is stories of Cats from Folklore around the world (albeit it, mainly Europe). I'll discuss the early relationships between Cats and Humans, before moving on to Folklore Stories and Superstitions.
It is shorter than many of my recent episodes as I had an incredibly hard time writing it and performing it, getting stuck on my friend's memory (which you can hear in my voice during the Outro). The episode opens

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 30 - Locked Up: The Haunted History of Alcatraz
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Well, we've emerged from the darkness that was Victorian London under the reign of notorious murderer Jack the Ripper; but we haven't been drug from the darkness of the ninth circle just yet. This week, we dive into the hauntings of the famous and iconic prison known as Alcatraz.
This episode from the onset might not initially be what you are expecting. In order to set the stage for what happenings in the dark of Alcatraz today, we had to take a walk into its history. From initial discovery, to it's military purpose and eventual foray into the world of criminal detention. This episode will serve in part educationally and historically about what Alcatraz was before we dive into the paranormal happenings on the island. If History's not your thing, you can fast forward to the exact 30:00 mark to get to the Paranormal. Highly recommend not doing this as it will give you an appreciation for why things are how they are today and give you an understanding for why the island is haunted.
Then again, you're an adult and I'm not your Dad - do as you please. The outro is a bit of a smokescreen. Yes, Atlantis is coming; i'd be silly not to do an episode on it and the mystery that surrounds it. Since Atlantis is generally mystery, it will be a three part "Folklore Appendices" episode as i'll cover two famous sea creatures as well - Sirens and The Kraken. That episode will air on the 21st.
Next week is special to me and not just because it's Valentines Day; that actually has a somber meaning for me now. But i'll leave it at that, next week will be special to me.
So that's it. I hope you enjoy the episode and learning about Alcatraz as much as I did. I have never been there myself, but i'm really looking forward to going someday.
I hope you all take care and i'll see you again next week!
Stay spooky (and since it's an episode about prison, Stay out of trouble :) )

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 29, Part II - Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Here we are at last, the long awaited Part II of our Jack the Ripper series. In the event you haven't listened to Part I yet, I highly recommend you go back and listen to it prior to proceeding with this episode. In Part I, we discussed the events that took place during the Ripper murders; such as the murders of the canonical five and the correspondence sent by Jack the Ripper.
In Part II, I discuss the lengths the Police went to in order to apprehend the Ripper. Unfortunately, without the modern advances in investigation today and the advent of Forensic DNA collection and analysis there wasn't much they could do. Ergo, the identity of Jack the Ripper still remains a mystery.
With that said, there were no shortage of suspects from the peak of the ripper murders into the 20th and 21st centuries. I'll let you know a few that don't make sense and then some with a very high possibility and motive; just to allow you to see how far reaching the suspicion really went. Finally, to wrap things up we'll outline what might have happened to Jack.
The stories of Jack the Ripper and the canonical five are always some of my favourite stories. Mainly, I believe it's because all of it is so shrouded in mystery and there exists the possibility that we may never know what happened to Jack.
So I really hope you enjoy this episode. In all honesty, i'm sad to be moving on after this week from a few weeks of research and being able to get inside the mind of Jack the Ripper.
Stay Spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 29 - From Hell: Jack the Ripper
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
First - stay around until the end today, because I think I nailed it :) Warning, this episode is gruesome with a lot of medical detail and describes mutilated bodies and disembowelments. I recommend listening when children are not present.
I hope you all really enjoyed last week's episode with Rianne about Psychics, Mediumship and the terrors and successes that come with those abilities. If you haven't yet, don't miss out on it. It was the first ever guest interview and it was a really great episode.
This week, we dive back into the world of the heinous. The macabre genre that is True Crime and not just True Crime, but the story of one of - if not - THE most famous Serial Killers in history. In the late 1800s, one name was synonymous with the terror of a nation and stuck fear into women just trying to scrape by. The self named, Demon of Whitechapel, Jack the Ripper.
Though Jack's reign was short, it was terrible. His story will live on forever in infamy for the terrified state he let Whitechapel in and the gruesome murders of innocent women that he perpetrated.
I'll let you dive into Jack's story and the victims who he murdered.

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 28 - Psychics and Mediumship, an Interview with Rianne Maldonado
https:// linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Well, this is possibly one of the most exciting episodes since I started my little radio show on the internet. I'm pleased to bring you today, my interview with Psychic, Evidential Medium and Host of the "All is Not Lost" podcast, Rianne Maldonado.
The Universe brought Rianne and I together through Facebook and Buzzsprout's Support Group where people could find guests for their show. It just so happened, I noticed Rianne's post, she reached out and here we are.
In the interview that eclipses a hour and 20 minutes, you'll have the opportunity to hear many things. We open with a discussion on mediumship. How it works in unison with Psychic abilities and examples of the "Clairs" most tend to know as Clairvoyancy - but there are many more. Then, we segue into how Rianne discovered her gifts - and this story is frightening. Both in terms of what happened to her at the time and then, many years later - what she was told by the medium that helped her through some of the most trying times of her life. Finally, we'll hear some stories of the lighter (and much more common) side of Mediumship. Stories that are beautiful, heartwarming and endearing.
This is an episode you certainly won't want to miss. I feel as though I learned so much from Rianne. There were a few moments in the interview that I wanted to chase the white rabbit; but those will be discussions for a later time. I look forward to welcoming Rianne back in the future as she's now a Friend of the Show.
After listening (or possibly before if you want more background), if you're looking to know more about Rianne or (like me) if you'd like to book a reading; you can visit the following link: Rianne Maldonado – Psychic & Evidential Medium (www.riannemaldonado.com)
If you want to check out Rianne's Podcast - All is Not Lost - please visit: All Is Not Lost Podcast with Rianne Maldonado (www.allisnotlostpodcast.com) which is
(also available on Spotify and other podcast platforms.
If you want the entire story of Rianne's journey to Mediumship, I highly recommend you check out these two episodes of her podcast, that I feel work like a Part I and Part II.
I) Trauma and Awakening Spiritual Gifts - All is Not Lost | Podcast on Spotify
II) Brittany Selle-Psychic Medium, and the Murder-Suicide House I Lived In - All is Not Lost | Podcast on Spotify
That's all for this week! Again, a major thank you to Rianne for being my first ever guest. I hope you learn/have learned something and I look forward to bringing you another amazing episode next week!

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 27 - The Haunting in Connecticut: The Snedeker Family
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Welcome back, welcome back! I'm delighted you've returned for another amazing new chapter of the Insidious Agenda Podcast this week. For this week's story, we're making another return to the realm of the Paranormal; with a more well known case to boot.
This story is another from the case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren. It is the Haunting of the Snedeker Family; the story that would go on to inspire 2009's well known horror film, The Haunting in Connecticut. The movie of course is based on the events that the Snedeker Family experienced in their 4 years living in the home. Before we dive in to it, there's a disclaimer of sorts. This episode does discuss some very dark things and will include themes of sexual assault. Please ensure there aren't any younger/curious ears when you hit the play button.
All in all, this story has something for everyone. If you're a believer, then you're in for a truly terrifying haunting. If you're a Skeptic, then you may believe that it's a story which can be easier to spot potential fabrication than others. Either way, we all want to have a listen - so you can choose your own adventure here.
On top of this - and stick around until the end today as I let you in on the exciting news I mentioned in last week's outro. As for what that news is, go hit play!
That's all I have for this week. Again, i'm extremely excited for next week's episode. It was something that certainly rocked my world! So enjoy your week and i'll see you in the next one!

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 26 - The Mothman and the Grinning Man, Indrid Cold
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
God it feels weird to type 2023, but here we are; the beginning of another year. Guess what! That means another 52+ episodes for fans of the Podcast. I have some really exciting news coming to you next week so make sure you keep listening to find out what the news is, and who it might possibly be about!
So, this week's episode. Although it might share similarities to a lot of our Folklore Appendices stories, I didn't want to put it into that stream. The Mothman has witnesses and isn't actually based in stories; same thing with Indrid Cold. If you'd like, feel free to treat it as an FLA episode.
The two are amazing, creepy, intricate stories. The Mothman seems like a Harbinger of Doom, foretelling disaster that would follow. Indrid Cold is a mysterious entity who claims to be from a far away Galaxy. Are the two tied together? Or even one and the same? For that, you'll just have to hit play.
I hope you enjoy the episode. It was an absolute treasure to research and it was amazing to see how far and wide that encounters with these beings were reported.
So again, stay tuned for some amazing news next week! I'll see you then.
Stay Spooky,
Nick

Special New Year's Episode - A Year in Review
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Congratulations everyone, we made it. New Year's Eve 2022. It wouldn't have felt right without doing a Year in Review episode. This episode brings a multitude of things. I give you my list of the Top 10 moments of the Podcast in 2022. In the midst of that, I'll tell you what really led to me starting the Podcast before finally moving on to our awards, the Inaugural iteration of The Insidi-est.
The other reason for starting the podcast that I didn't say in the episode was to break the Work - Watch TV - Sleep - Repeat cycle. I wanted to do more than just sleep walk through life and I feel that I accomplished that! Plus, it helps feed my independent, introvertedness :)
This is a fun episode complete with wonderful moments, music, clips of previous episodes all rolled in to one. I hope you enjoy our recap for the first year of the Podcast and there are still many amazing more things to come in 2023.
Happy New Year - and stay spooky!

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 25 - Open Water: The Disappearance of Tom and Eileen Lonergan
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying this little week in between where days and times really don't exist. That being said, happy Tuesday! Of course, that brings with it a new episode of the Insidious Agenda Podcast.
This week's story is one that inspired the 2003 film, Open Water. It is the disappearance of Tom and Eileen Lonergan; a couple who was left behind on a diving trip in Australia on their way back to the United States after a posting to the peace corps.
Though it's not the usual type of content I do, I believed it was an important story to tell and ties in well to some of our central undertones. That of terror and fear. It's also a bit of an emotional rollercoaster that involves relief, dread, anger and sadness. It's also a major testament to what happens when you simply don't do your job. That being said, it doesn't discount the possibility that it was planned by the Lonergans. I won't get into more than that here.
As we start to wrap up the year, i'll have a New Year's episode coming out on NYE 2022. It will outline my Top 10 favourite moments of the first year of my podcast, fill you all in on what lead to me starting it and capping it all off with our inaugural awards - The Insidi-est!
I hope you enjoy the episode and, as always, thanks for coming back to the Insidious Agenda Podcast. It means more than you know!

(Bonus) The Christmas Appendices: Krampus
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello and a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! As our last Special Bonus Episode for the year, we bring an official/unofficial episode of the Folklore Appendices. With it being Christmas, there is no better subject for our Holiday creature feature than the Christmas Devil, Krampus.
The first third of the episode gives a bit of background on the creature at the center of the legend while the back parts are a short story inspired by the character of Krampus.
I'll be back on Tuesday with our final mainline Chapter of 2022, The Disappearance of Tom and Eileen Lonergan; the story that inspired the film Open Water. As a special bonus episode for New Year's Eve, i'll have a "Year in Review" style episode. Where i'll outline and replay my Top 10 favourite moments in the Podcast from this year and hand out the first iteration of our awards, The Insidi-est!
I hope you have a wonderful day with your families and friends. To those who are celebrating (or just existing) under more tragic circumstances, never forget that you're loved and that you matter. I hope this episode is a bright spot on what might be a more somber day for you. To those deployed in the Armed Forces and those Emergency Services and essential Hospital personnel that are working through the day - from a Veteran, I wanted to thank you for everything you did this year and everything you continue to do for us.
Even if you didn't listen on Christmas Day, i'm glad this episode will be there for you whenever you get the chance to listen in!
Much love to all of you. Again, Merry Christmas and i'll see you on Tuesday!
Stay Festive,

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 24 - Elizabeth Bathory, The Blood Countess
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
What an exciting week! For me, it's the last week before a few solid (and needed) weeks off and Christmas morning is one week from today (as I type out these show notes anyway). I'm really excited to bring you another amazing story from the world of things dark and twisted.
First, i'd be amiss if I didn't do my weekly shoutout. This week's shoutout goes to my listeners down under in Australia. Specifically those listening in Melbourne and Brisbane. Thanks for tuning in and I hope you've been enjoying the content! Of course, next week is an episode from an Australian story so I hope you'll love it!
I hope you're all done your Christmas shopping and ready for the big day. If you still have to get out there and brave the crowds and chaos that the holiday season brings, maybe you can plug your headphones in and listen to this episode. A big of an interesting one this week. It is, by nature, historical - touching on things morbid and dark in addition to the supernatural. This is the story of Erzebet (Elizabeth) Bathory. A noble woman in 15 and 1600s Hungary and Slovakia. A woman of such beauty, grace and nobility she was one of the most powerful and influential women of her time. Unfortunately, she was not all that she appeared to be. Having had a penchant for torture and murder of young girls between the ages of 10 and 14. I don't want to give too much of her story away, as it's yours to discover within.
As mentioned, for those that don't want the gory details of her reign; stop listening at 13:05 and you can pick up again at 16:00.
Also, you'll notice that Dark Reflections wasn't uploaded last week and won't be mentioned in this week's episode. I had a listen to the first one a few times and it didn't meet the standards of what I expect my episodes to be. It will return in the future once I have a solid plan and format in place. More to the point, just so that it doesn't just sound like the rumblings of a crazy person.
In other exciting Podcast news, I have been in touch with a Psychic Medium who is going to come on the Podcast. I'm hoping to interview them over my Christmas break and bring that episode to you in January or February. I'm trying to get a few guests to come on, just have to get by my social anxiety and nervousness. But, it's a labour of love and I really want to do it for you!
I'm also starting to plan out new social media content so if you haven't followed our social pages, feel free to start! I'll be brining back the picture galleries for the episodes that have enough content to push it forward. I just want to enrich your experience when you come back to the Pod each week.
So that's it. I don't really think I have anything more to add to these "notes." I make the announcement in the Pod that I'll be back with you on Christmas Day for the newest iteration of our Folk Lore Appendices series about the Christmas Devil known as Krampus. It will be a quick listen and, although I don't expect many to tune in on Christmas, it'll be there for you whenever you feel like listening :)
Have an awesome week and I hope you're really as excited as I am for the upcoming celebrations.

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 23 - The Story of Bonnie and Clyde
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
To kick us off, this week's shoutout goes to those listening in Fernley, Nevada. Thanks for listening in and supporting my little radio show on the internet!
It's hard to believe how close we're getting to Christmas. It seems like just yesterday that we were putting in vacation leave requests for Christmas. Well, probably more like 2 or 3 months ago, but either way, here we are. If you're not ready yet and still out doing your shopping, we're here for you! It's a good chance to get caught up in the event you missed any episodes.
This week's story is a high profile true crime case; stepping right out of the Era of the Gangsters in the 1930s. The story of Bonnie and Clyde is known far and wide (see what I did there!). Where you know the intricacies or not, their story - or at a minimum their names - have widespread familiarity.
The one thing that often doesn't come across is that, as unpredictable and dangerous as they were, they were not good at what they did. Many attempts at robberies, carjackings or even just laziness would often lead to them getting pinched, attached and eventually would lead to their down fall.
So go ahead, hit the play button and learn the story of True Crime's Romeo and Juliet - the Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 22 - Conspiracy: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Credit for the coverage of the Assassination in the beginning of our episode, as it happened, goes to Sony Music Entertainment. This Podcast is not monetized, and clips are used for educational purposes only.
First off - my shoutout this week goes out to my listeners in Brisbane, Australia. If you saw the schedule release the other day, I have a story local to you coming December 27th!
My god what a week! First off, I wanted to shout out the previous episode about The Dyatlov Pass Incident as it caused two things to happen. The First, it was our most watched episode on YouTube ever - eclipsing 500 views and still going. It also pushed us from 70 subscribers to (as of this second) 117. I think that's really great as it grows the fan base for.... drum roll please... the first episode of Dark Reflections which is coming on Thursday following this episode (will have a 5:00 a.m. EST release timing like the main episode). Due to monthly time constraints on my hosting page, Dark Reflections will be exclusive to YouTube (which you can search by the Podcast name, or by the YouTube link at the bottom of the show notes - and likely Facebook). So ensure you're already following the Pod in one of those two places so you won't miss it.
Just a quick snapshot about Dark Reflections. It will be a minor re-cap of the weekly main episode, also giving me a chance to give my thoughts (as I don't like to spoil the storytelling with my own opinions) and discover any local news. In addition, if any listeners want to tell their own spooky paranormal stories, send them to our e-mail in the linktree and I'll even read them. I anticipate Dark Reflections to only be, on average a 15–20-minute listen.
But on to this week, the tragic and controversy packed story of the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy; an episode I've dedicated (at the end of it) to my mother as it's her favourite historical event (next to the Death of Princess Diana). An event that has so many question marks, shadows and even a plethora of conspiracy theories. This episode will give you a detailed understanding of the events as they happened, what happened immediately following and then a myriad of conspiracy theories surrounding the plot.
Was it Lyndon Baines Johnson, the Vice President? Was he linked in with the FBI, CIA, Organized Crime or even a Castro-led Cuba? All of these and more are contained therein. I don't dive into too much detail on each, as we'd be here all day and some of them are absolute rabbit holes once you dig into them. Interestingly enough, some bleed together; lending further intrigue to the situation.
I really hope you enjoy the episode and the fact that I have been branching out into other things (Cryptids, True Crime, Aliens, now to Conspiracy, etc) so we're not just doing Demon, Ghost, Poltergeist, Exorcism. As amazing as they are, they do tend to be relatively similar.
So press play and have a listen to an episode I had a lot of fun researching and recording. Don't forget to like and subscribe so you don't miss any of the amazing episodes. I'll see you Thursday for Dark Reflections!

Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 21 - The Dyatlov Pass Incident
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello again, so happy to see you back. I'll admit, I have been looking forward to doing this episode for a while. Firstly, the story itself is terrifyingly interesting. To imagine, an experienced group of youthful hikers setting out into the expanse of the Ural Mountains in Russia, eager to become the equivalent of "master hikers." Only to never be seen alive again. There are many rational explanations for what might have happened to them, as well as some not so rational ones. In all honestly, we'll never know what happened to Igor Dyatlov's expedition that fateful month in 1959. But it's really fun to speculate!
The second reason why I was so excited is because I got to practice my Russian accent which (self-admittedly) I think is pretty good. I might not have nailed each interpretation of the voices of the hikers but I had a lot of fun either way. It was a really amazing episode to research. Mainly because of the group's diary entries, which are read in this episode. There were two others as well, but I couldn't get in to those as I'd be hours into this. As stated in the episode, here is the link to the Dyatlov Pass website. If the episode piqued your interest, please visit it here:
Dyatlov Pass
As for me, i'm really exited for what's coming next. Next week will bring our first Conspiracy episode about The Kennedy Assassination. It's a bit Historical before getting into the Conspiracy, but I worked really hard on it so i'm hoping you enjoy it. It's a bit of a break from our usual things, and Conspiracy stuff won't come around too often, but this is going to be awesome.
Accompanying that Episode, on Thursdays, i'm looking forward to releasing the "Dark Reflections" series on our Podcast's YouTube Channel and Facebook Page. It will re-cap each episode in minor detail, i'll give you my thoughts on the story (since I try not to do that in the regular episodes) and we'll also cover recent paranormal/crime news in the World today and share any stories from listeners (if we get submissions).
As mentioned in the initial posts, I wouldn't mind having a co-host for the Dark Reflections. Each will be only 20 minutes (or so) in length and will be a lot less formal than our regular episodes. Again, just a value added piece and won't replace our regular programming.
That's enough for this week. I really hope you enjoy the story of The Dyatlov Pass Incident and the opportunity to formulate your own theories surrounding what may have happened to the group forever lost to the Mountain.
All the best my friend - and don't forget to subscribe!

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 20 - Count Dracula and the Lore of Vampires
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello everyone! I hope you're already one day into an amazing week. It's amazing how quickly the Holiday season is creeping up on us. For our shout out this week, we head to Africa where I'm going to shout out those listening in Durban, South Africa! Thanks for listening to the podcast and I hope you've been enjoying the episodes.
I had a lot of fun researching this episode as it's a mix of both reality and fiction. In this episode, I discuss true stories of Vampires that have plagued human history - like Petar Blagojevic. We discuss some of the lore that stemmed from those stories and helped to shape the famous literature of Bram Stoker and his creation of the most famous Vampire to have never existed, Count Dracula.
It's a bit of a break from our normal episodes grounded in reality but I believed it was pertinent to cover off some of the legacy and legends surrounding history's famous "Creature Features." Periodically, we will be covering others - like Werewolves. They're just such a staple, and Dracula a figurehead, of the Occult genre that I couldn't say no to doing an episode about them. Also, for those wondering, we investigate the Stoker version of Vampires. The Meyer version are not involved in our episode.
Looking forward, next week we're also going to welcome back Cassie Baxter to our Podcast for the long-awaited episode about The Dyatlov Pass incident. Ensure you're subscribed so you don't miss out on it!
Well, I hope you enjoy the episode and come back for another. I really appreciate you choosing to spend time listening to my Podcast!

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 19 - The Abduction of Betty and Barney Hill
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
So, let's start an awesome appreciation bit for each set of show notes. I want you to know that I appreciate you listening, so each new episode I'll open with a shout out to some listeners in different parts of the world to let you know how appreciative I am that you come back every week, choosing to spend time listening to me. This week's shout goes to my listeners in San Diego, California!
What a hell of a week. I'm sure many podcasts might not do things like this, but I wanted to really start my show notes by saying Slava Ukraini! The Forces of Ukraine liberated their southern city of Kherson this week. The Blue and Gold now flies back over their city in the South, turning back the clock on their tyrannical oppressor. Just quick plug to say to our Ukranian listeners, keep fighting back; the world is watching and we're cheering you on!
So the snow has set in this week, bringing with it another cold winter ahead. With that, however, I have some amazing stories to bring you this month. We opened last week, with the story of The Zodiac Killer. This week, we movie back into the subject of Extraterrestrials and UFOs; bringing with it the story of Betty and Barney Hill - the first reported Alien abductees in human history.
Their story is terrifying. I sympathize with them and couldn't imagine going through something as horrific as they did. That being said, there are some parts of this story that share similarities with our other Alien centric episodes, The Roswell Incident and The Men in Black. As for what those are, you'll just have to hit play!
Also, I hope you've been enjoying the new format for the show. I'm trying to experiment with multiple things, such as a shorter opening so that we can get into the story more quickly. So bear with me as I continue this process, but it also brings you something new every week so that makes me happy.
I hope you've been enjoying the episodes and content I put out. I try my best with social media, but i'm not artistically inclined. I do have some exciting opportunities to bring forward though. Be sure to check Facebook to see what I have lined up and you might be able to join me as part of The Insidious Agenda Podcast team.
That's all I have for this week, I'll be back with you next Tuesday - I'll see you then!

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Chapter 18 - Dear Editor, this is the Zodiac speaking.
http://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Welcome back to the newest Chapter of the Insidious Agenda Podcast. I know, I know - I said last week that it was going to be an episode about The Dyatlov Pass Incident. I'm currently trying to find a voice actress to do recording for some female parts in that episode; so if you're interested, please shoot me an e-mail! Thus, the Dyatlov Pass episode is postponed for the time being.
This episode, as you can discern from the title is a True Crime episode. Unlike our Villisca and Lizzie Borden True Crime x Paranormal episodes, this one deals specifically with True Crime. I'm trying to cover all the bases of "things that go bump in the night" so as not to wear out a certain area too quickly - hence why you've seen more topics presented than just Paranormal and Supernatural. So, I've really hoped you've been enjoying the amazing variation in the subjects. I've received really amazing feedback and enjoy making all the different episodes.
I know these aren't the typical show notes you see on podcasts and I use it more as an opportunity to say a few words to you all. Our social accounts don't receive much engagement so this is the best way to converse with everyone.
Our story covers a murder spree in California in the late 1960's by an assailant known as The Zodiac Killer. The most terrifying thing about this case is the fact that it was never solved, and the Zodiac could still be among us to this day.
I had a great time making this episode and giving a voice to some of the quotes and letters from the Zodiac. That's one thing I really love about the podcast is being able to immerse into the stories and have the opportunity to take one different roles.
I'm pleased to say that in early December I'll be introducing a new topic into the podcast - Conspiracy theories. We'll be starting out with one that's really well known and spiders into many different theories and directions. I'm really excited for it!
Anyway, it's time for you to hit play and walk back into the 1960s. Don't forget to subscribe before you go! I'll talk to you again next week.
Stay spooky,
Nick

The Insidious Agenda Podcast
Folk Lore Appendices: The Black Shuck and The Wendigo
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Well, here we are; on the other side of Spooky Season and sights set on the holiday season. I hope you and your families had an amazing Halloween and it had all the sweetness and spookiness that you could dream of.
I'm glad you chose to come back and hear another chapter of the Insidious Agenda Podcast. I know all my cryptid/monster lovers have been waiting a while so here it is, the latest iteration of The Folk Lore Appendices. This week, we're covering legends from England and North America.
The first, is the legend of the cycloptic devil dog known as The Black Shuck. The second, is the Indigenous legend of the Cannibalistic, Wendigo spirit/creature. I always have a wonderful time researching the Folk Lore Appendices episodes as they're nostalgia bombs. Not exactly because i've heard all of them in detail, but each feels like a really good campfire story. Bonus - The Exorcist: The Story of Roland Doe
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Well, this is it everyone. We've finally made it to All Hallow's Eve! A very happy Halloween and Samhain to all of you and I hope that your day is filled with lots of spooky things and all the chocolate and candy you can drive back! Even if you do have to get up for work tomorrow :)
Sadly, we all knew this day was coming; this episode marks the end of our amazing slate of episodes I had up for Spooky Season 2022. I really hope you enjoyed it and thanks again for coming back once again. That being said, we're not going out without a bang!
This episode is the story of The Exorcism of Roland Doe; the true story that inspired the classic literary work, The Exorcist. You can draw a lot of a parallels between the stories of Roland, and Blatty's character Reagan. Even seeing the similarities between Roland's affliction and that of Anneliese Michel from Chapter One. I hope you love the true story, and, like the other bonus episodes, this is a quick listen - only 25 minutes gate to gate.
I really hope you like it as much as I enjoyed researching and recording it. Also - let me know what you think of this format. I tried to go with a shorter intro, different music and a more intimate vibe. Don't forget, I'll be back tomorrow with my regular Tuesday episode which will enamour all of the cryptid fans as it's our second Folk Lore Appendices episode all about the Black Shuck and the Wendigo.
To all my listeners, no matter where you are on this pale blue dot - thank you, a thousand times thank you. For coming back every week and choosing to spend this time listening to my stories. It means more to me than you can imagine!
Again - I hope you have an amazing Halloween and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Stay spooky,
Nick

Chapter 17 - The Conjuring: The Haunting of the Perron Family
25 October 2022
Well, if there was one episode to cover that was an emotional rollercoaster, it was this one. The story of the Perron Family is something that I, like most, discovered after seeing The Conjuring many years ago. With that found interest, I read the three books put out by Andrea Perron - House of Darkness, House of Light - and was absolutely floored by the accounts of what her family truly experienced over the course of ten years in their "portal disguised as a farmhouse."
The tale of the Perron Family is truly the emotional rollercoaster I believe it is. I even teared up when recording the episode. The family was amazingly resilient and only grew closer in the end after suffering attacks from paranormal entities for a decade. It is truly an honour to be able to tell the story of the Perron Family. The real story, that didn't vilify Bathsheba Sherman.
Other things you'll find in this episode are - a new music scheme (please let me know if you like it!), a short 10-12 minute biography of Ed and Lorraine Warren, a timeline of events for the Perron family and the examination of the legacy of the case as spawned by The Conjuring.
It's in the Outro, but in the event you cut out at the end of the main content, i'll see you again on Halloween. Yes, i'll be back with the last special bonus episode of Spooky Season 2022 with The Exorcism of Roland Doe. The true story that would inspire William Peter Blatty's classic, The Exorcist.

Bonus Episode: The Harbinger of the Hohenzollerns
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello everyone and welcome back. I've got another special bonus episode for you today, just for Spooky Season! I hope you enjoyed the past episodes this week that covered the Witch Trials and Europe, the New World and especially those held in Salem. For this story, I'll tell you about the White Lady of the Hohenzollerns. An apparition that was said to not only terrify members of the Hohenzollern dynasty but would foretell great doom and death for their family.
But who is she and what was her story? Her presence has been witnessed throughout many generations of the family so it must have been something horrific to have emotionally tied her to this Earth? The story, no matter which version you hear, is absolutely tragic. In this episode, you'll hear two. So hit the play button and listen to the story of the White Lady, the Harbinger of the Hohenzollerns.

Chapter 16 - Part I - The Early Witch Trials in Europe and North America
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello everyone and welcome back for another amazing episode, well pair of episodes. I didn't want to make it too long, for those of you that listen in during your morning commute or walk. So, I've divided today's episode into two parts. In this first episode I tell the story of the beginning of the Witch Trials in Europe before moving on to their early spread into the colonies of the New World.
I will re-examine some of the European Witch Trials, especially those in England, at a later date but this episode will give you a cursory overview of how the prosecution of presumed witches began and how the stage was set for it to not only follow into the New World but ignite the tinders of the religious zealots that awaited it.

Chapter 16 - Part II - The Salem Witch Trials
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello everyone and welcome back for another amazing episode. This episode is Part II of our History of Witch Trials episode. If you haven't listened to the first yet, I highly recommend you do so in order to get the context of what happened in Europe and earlier Witch Trials in the New World that would help pave the way for the incredibly well-known Trials of Salem.
No matter who you are, near everyone has (to some degree) become familiar with the Salem Witch Trials. But do you know the complete history? If you don't, that's where this episode comes in. We discuss the entirety of the Witch Trials, from the beginning and how horrible the processes were to the victims. The amazing story of Salem, and its Trials, echoes through history and is usually the event most synonymous with the subject of Witches in General.

Bonus Episode - The Wynyard Apparition
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Amazing - i'm back to break your airwaves for the second time this week. When Spooky Season was fast approaching, I thought, what better way to celebrate all of these amazing stories than to add a few (shorter) bonus episodes.
Those stories that are amazing in their own way, but sometimes aren't long enough to be a whole episode unto themselves. It might even be something I entertain every so often. So, just another reason to make sure you're subscribed!
This bonus episode comes from my home province of Nova Scotia - a province on the Eastern Seaboard of Canada. It is the story of John Sherbrooke and George Wynyard, two officers in Britain's continental army who witnessed something one evening they couldn't outrightly explain. As for what it was and the story around it - you'll just have to hear it for yourself.

Chapter 15 - The Devil made me do it
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello everyone! I hope your October has been going extremely well and is filled with all the cozy sweaters and spooky movies that you could ask for.
On this week's episode, I'll outline the story of Arne Cheyenne Johnson and the iconic defense used in the trial of the murder he was accused of - that, thanks to Ed Warren - has become symbolically known as "The Devil made me do it."
We'll discuss the initial events surrounding the Glatzel family and their child David's brush with a demonic entity that Arne naively taunted and ended up dragging him through one of the worst events of his life. You'll discover what actually happened between Arne Johnson and Alan Bono and why the case became so iconic that it would spawn books and movies. Further propelling Ed and Lorraine Warren into the spotlight and how it affected the Glatzel family with the follow on media attention.

Chapter 14 - The History of Halloween
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello Insidious Agenda Fans! Thanks for coming back for our latest chapter. Since it's officially into October and the start of Spooky Season 2022, what better way to start off our amazing slate of episodes than to introduce October's main event.
Known mainly as Halloween, the day is also known as Samhain or All Hallow's Eve. Many of us, especially those in North America, have celebrated Halloween. We've dressed in costume, gone door to door collecting candy and even carved out spooky looking pumpkins. I would guess that many, like myself, didn't know the true origins of Halloween or the early iterations of some of its most common traditions, like trick or treating or even how Halloween received its widely recognized colours. I learned a lot researching this episode and hope you do as well!
Since the first part of our episode is fairly light in nature, I can't let you off so easily without your weekly dose of spookiness. After the history of Halloween is complete, I move in to the reading of a story that is one of my favourites and is truly creepy and unnerving - a perfect way to say hello to all things spooky! As for what that story is, you'll just have to hit play.
I hope you enjoy it, because I really had fun making this episode! :)

Chapter 12 - The Amityville Horror
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Few cases in the field of the paranormal and supernatural are known to all. There was one that drew attention not only once, but twice. The first was the murder of six members of the same family by their son. The second, was the re-telling of the story from a family who was only in the house for 28 days before they were driven out by something horrible. Something they couldn't see.
This week's chapter is the telling of a story widely known as The Amityville Horror. We'll discuss the murder of the DeFeo family by their son, Ronald Jr. Then, we move on to the subsequent occupants, George, Kathy and the Lutz family.
This case was so high profile that it drew the attention of the national media and was investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren; whom have had trouble speaking about what they saw and encountered there.

Chapter 11 - The Head Splitting Tale of Lizzie Borden
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
In this week's True Crime meets Paranormal episode we'll explore the famous murder mystery of the murders of Andrew and Abby Borden. A major focal point of the episode will be the Bordens' daughter, Lisbeth - more commonly known as Lizzie. Lizzie would become, and arguably remains today, the chiefest suspect in the murders; although she remains innocent and, although arrested, was never convicted. This episode will explore the events leading up to the murders, the days after and the legacy they have left - especially the black mark and ostracizing of Lizzie for the remainder of her life.
At the back end of the episode, we'll examine where the case stands today and the multitude of paranormal and strange events that happen in the Borden's home to this day; including a possible key piece of information on who murdered the family.
As mentioned in the episode, here is the link to Paranormal Investigator, Amanda Mullette's investigation at the Borden home part of the Unexplained series through Truly. I highly recommend checking it out!

https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
I'd like to give you all an official welcome to Spooky Season 2022! In this week's Chapter we're going to cover a number of topics. We begin with Lucifer and the Christian concept of his fall from grace. Once a proud beautiful angel who rebelled against God and was cast, with his followers, into the abyss. Then, we transition into the Princes of Hell, how they tie into the seven deadly sins, the satantic triumvirate and the order of legions in hell. We will also touch on the concept and study of Demonology and expand on the stages of Possession and Exorcism that were outlined in Chapter 1.

Chapter 9 - The Fabulous Fox Sisters and the rise of Spiritualism
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
In this week's Chapter we're covering the story of Margaretta and Katie, the Fox Sisters of Hydesville, New York. Maggie and Kate, as they were more commonly known, helped push the concept of spiritualism in the United States; which was the belief that those departed could still commune with the living even after death. They can be regarded as the first modern Mediums and, through their practice and popularity, would become key members of that religious movement. That is, until one of them would turn on the movement and denounce it as a hoax that destroyed their life from a very young age.
It's an amazing story of belief, deceit and - in the end - tragedy, that tore a family apart. I hope you enjoy the episode! Now, let's get into our story.

Chapter 7 - The Nightmare on Chase Street (The Haunting of the Smurl Family)
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Another famed demonic case from the files of the Warrens comes the story of Jack, Janet and the Smurl Family. A family who was displaced after a major natural disaster in the 1970's. They relocated to a different part of their state and, after beginning to make their new home their own, they would come under a demonic assault that would not relent for 15 years.
The case would attract the attention of not only the public, but the famous duo of demonologists - Ed and Lorraine Warren. After investigation they would conclude that it was not only a demon that was responsible for the haunting, but it's small legion of demons that it controlled.
The case, like some that came before it, would come in to the public eye to the degree that it would spawn a movie and a book. So, with a little bit of background, let's get in to our episode.

Chapter 6 - The Wickedest Man in the World, Aleister Crowley
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
For as long as the concept of Religion has existed there has been the battle of the Light against the Dark. In the twentieth century, one man was at the centre of this battle and became an icon for modern Occultism. He worked actively to create and contribute to the creation of religions and followings and eventually became so famous that he was the figurehead of the occult community and a pioneer of the dark arts.
In this episode, we'll examine the life of Aleister Crowley. A man, originally from England, who went on to become a major figurehead in the field of modern occultism. We'll discuss Aleister's early life through his University years and finally on into the middle and later stages of his life; examining the secret societies he was a part of and the basis for his own religion and beliefs, known as Thelema.

Chapter 5 - The Villisca Axe Murders
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Life in a small town can mean many things. Among them, they’re usually places that foster a sense of community. Everyone knows each other and people normally go above and beyond to help anyone in need. One of the greatest unsolved mysteries in the United States comes from one of these small towns. A town that had so much potential and was a true up and comer in the early 1900s had a shadow cast over it when in one fateful night in June of 1912 a family was murdered and to this day, the perpetrator of the murders has never been caught. Was it a person with a personal vendetta or living out some sick fantasy; or was this something much worse? On this weeks episode, we’ll travel to Iowa and examine the story surrounding the Villisca Axe Murders.
As the mystery still remains unsolved to this day, there will likely be no way that we'll ever know who killed the Moores and Stillingers. We're going to examine the backstory of the Moore Family, especially that of the patriarch Josiah. Then we'll get into the finding of the family and the sequence of events that followed. We'll discuss many of the theories surrounding who it could have possibly been and how the home is today. Often bearing the title of being one of the top 10 most haunted places in the United States you can only imagine that the spirits of those who were slain and possibly their killer stayed behind. Or, where such unspeakable evil happened - if it's not haunted by something darker.

Chapter 4 - The Haunting of The Borley Rectory
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
In this week's episode, we open the doors of the building that had come to garner the reputation of being the most haunted home in England; known as the Borley Rectory. The Rectory would be home to many different families for the over 100 years that it stood. Each and every inhabitant would be haunted by something during their time in the home.
Was it the vengeful spirit of a Nun who once roamed the property; ever in search of her lost lover who was put to death after they were discovered? Or, were the paranormal happenings at the home a hoax, perpetrated by the inhabitants of the home over the years? One might be inclined to believe it was all a fraud with the similarities that can be tied to one family's tenure in the small town of Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Chapter 1 - The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel
Summary:
In this episode we'll cover the tragic story of Anneliese Michel. A young, very religious German girl who suffered torment at the hands of not one, but six demonic entities that dwelt within her. Anneliese would suffer them unto her death but this would not be the end of her story.
In this Chapter, we'll examine Anneliese's backstory. How she grew up, her battle with a diagnosis of Epilepsy, shifting her focus from Medical to Religious treatment, her and her priests' battle with the entities that tortured her and the fall out from her death in the courtroom.
Some questions to examine when listening to this podcast for discussion on our Facebook page after the episode are:
If you were in Anneliese's position, given her background, would you have opted for an alternative form of treatment after not finding success with medicine?
Would you have violated Anneliese's beliefs and wishes in order to save her life?
