As a follower of Christ, you will experience opposition and persecution. The reason is Jesus, the answer is Jesus, the evidence is Jesus! Fix your eyes on Jesus!
Jesus said to the rich, young, ruler that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with everything and the second is to love one another. Acts 2:42-47 give us a wonderful model of how the church of Jesus Christ is to be about those two relationships, in that order.
From start to finish God is working His purposes out. He has chosen to work though His people. Acts 2 is the birthday of the Christian church. It is a picture of how God is faithful to His promises, Active in His pursuit, and powerful in His provision. Acts 2:1-13
The mission of God is Unstoppable. As we begin a new message series in the book of Acts we see how Christ provides the Power, Purpose and Plan for taking the Gospel from a handful of fishermen to billions around the world. Acts 1:1-11
This week we officially wrap our study through Philippians with an overview look at the big picture of what Paul is trying to tell us. As believers, we should be grounded in Christ, while constantly growing more and more into His likeness. We see this growth play out in our love for one another, confidence in Christ, humility within, perspective for the world around us, and ultimate - our joy in Christ.
As we come to the end of our study through Philippians, we see a clear picture painted for those who follow Jesus. A life of rejoicing in trials, relaxing in Christ, making our requests known to Him daily, refocusing on His promises, and living in urgency as we respond to His calling. Philippians 4:1-9 perfectly reminds us of the peace that can only be found in a life centered on Christ.
Listen in as we continue our study through Philippians, diving deep into what Scripture tells us about our past, present, and future in Christ. This week we'll study Philippians 3:1-14 as Paul teaches us of the new perspective on our lives in Christ.
As we continue on our journey through Philippians, we are clearly presented with the cure for disunity and a stagnant faith. Pride - that which is at the heart of all sin. As Christians, we are to demonstrate the humility of Christ in love, unity and strength in a world that celebrates arrogance. Join us as we study Philippians 2: 1-18.
As we continue our message series through Philippians entitled “Moving Forward”, we see in Philippians 1:12-30 that in a world of uncertainty and insecurity, the call of Christ is a life of confidence. Confidence in God’s sovereignty, character, purpose and salvation demonstrated and delivered in Christ Jesus.
The call of Christ is to love with understanding, clearly defined in Christ, which leads us to holiness. Join us for our new message series “Moving Forward” as we dive deep in a study through Philippians.
In a world full of uncertainty and confusion, we can know that we have eternal life, that our prayers are heard and answered, that we have understanding and discernment in Christ. He alone is the “One Sure Thing”. Listen in as we wrap up our sermon series "Living in The Light" with 1 John 5:13-21.
To abide in Christ is to be empowered, equipped and called to love. Join us as we continue our study "Living in the Light" as we dive into 1 John 4:7-21.
1 John 4:1-7 teaches us that a world of ever-shifting relativism, Christians are called to recognize the spiritual battle and stand on the unchanging Truth of Christ.
This week we are studying 1 John 3:1-24 as pastor Steve teaches us how to obey Jesus as He calls us to lead with love. Believers should become unrecognizable to the world because of the hope we have in Christ Jesus.
Continuing our sermon series in 1 John, pastor Steve brings a message from chapter 2 entitled “The Look of Light”. What does the life lived in the light of Christ look like?
To walk in the light is to walk in fellowship with the Holy God who loves us and have His Son for our sin. Join us as we study John 1:1-10, beginning a new sermon series "Living in the Light."
Join us as we wrap up our sermon series "The True Gospel." This week we'll be studying Galatians 6 as we seek to better understand how Christ calls us to be outward and upward. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” We were created to live in freedom. We are all pursuing it, and Christ came to give it. A look at Galatians 5:1-15 gives us some insight on how to walk in that freedom and to live life to the full in Christ.
