In today's episode we talk a little more about why we chose to do weekly goals and what we have noticed. Kristten throws out some therapy exercises and a little bit about why goals are helpful.

Last week Katie was going to do homework every night for 30 minutes and it was Kristten's YES week. She realized she often defaults to answering with "no" rather than thinking and responding in a more positive way.

Next week Katie is going to try to follow her cleaning schedule and Kristten has a goal to complete a business workbook project she's been working on.

We love hearing from you on Facebook and Instagram and absolutely adore your emails thessdgpodcast@gmail.com

Last episode Katie was going on a trip out west to camp. Her goal was to take a daily picture of something that was peaceful. She was trying to be intentional about noticing peace. Kristten's was to clean her room. Another way to find peace is organizing the space you spend time in.

While on the trip, Katie did not get kidnapped or murdered...and miraculously did not get food poisoning. The food poisoning thing is a true mystery. Kristten got her room cleaned and is now ready to head to IKEA to spruce it up.

This episode we decided our upcoming goals. Katie is going to do homework for 30 minutes every day. And it is Kristten's "yes" week. She is going to not automatically say "no" when Garin asks her to do something. So far as the time of this recording she had already gone to help work pigs without much fuss, and didn't even complain with Garin started cleaning out the kitchen closet. #goals.

In episode 11 you’ll hear the tale of how we both avoided being on a true crime podcast this week. It's a little creepy that we both had strange events happen this week. Both Kristten and Katie crushed their goals for the prior week. Katie did something outside her comfort zone each day and Kristten started the Couch to 5K challenge.

This upcoming week Kristten is going to focus on cleaning her room. Its been a dumpster fire since getting back from vacation. Katie is going to take a picture every day of something on her trip. It will be a collection of Peaceful photos. We are both creating peace this week, just in very different ways.

Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Send us an email to share your goals! We would love to hear them thessdgpodcast@gmail.com

This week Katie and Kristten both ran to Lululemon where they both faltered in their "no spending $" challenge last week....but that sweatshirt just looked so cozy!!!!

This week Kristten is starting the Couch to 5K challenge. There are several different plans for this, so if you don't like this one, you can find another one.

Katie is trying to go out of her comfort zone each day and do something that brings her joy or fulfillment. She was inspired by HotPinkSunrise on TikTok.

Don't forget to send us your goals/challenges and share your progress. We are inspired by each one of you. Email us at thessdgpodcast@gmail. com or check us out on Facebook or Instagram and checkout our website for downloadable worksheets and such.

This week KT shared her schedule with us and the details of her Disney Princess 10K!!!! Meanwhile Kristten went without beer through the week (Sunday to Friday).  It was rough but she made it.

Since we were talking about alcohol we did a little trivia. There are a few links here with more information about alcohol use and an article about researching the correlation between eye color and the potential risk of alcoholism.

This week Katie is stealing Kristten's goal from last week because it was so helpful;) Kristten is going without her beloved Bud Light this week.

Last week Kristten had a goal of making a daily schedule and Katie wanted to reduce her caffeine intake. She is now intimately familiar with the caffeine headache. Fun side note: caffeine can sometimes help with symptoms of ADHD, but it can increase anxiety. How fun is that?

This week Kristten worked don her financial goal and found some "not so smooth" criminal trying to do criminal stuff. Katie started her goal of getting 10K steps a day, but quickly realized she doesn't have her phone or watch consistently with her to count her steps...so she had to "switch s#*t up."
