These messages were originally started in 2018 on WhatsApp and have now evolved to this podcast. Each message is unique, reflecting the work of Christ in our hearts, in our marriage and our community. There is no rehearsed script or aim to be eloquent, we share honestly & openly of our weakness and failures, also of God’s infinite love & kindness in our daily lives.
Reading from Acts we see how Jesus equipped His disciples for the coming changes - by teaching and giving them commandments through the Holy Spirit, He prepared them with the seed of His Word, also bringing them into the reality that Father has the timing of all things in His hand.
Hebrews 12 is a focus in this message. Often wounds - like something someone said - needs to be addressed in the heart by forgiving and letting go. Unforgiveness is a sin that easily entangles. Make a choice to forgive. Then we will be able to run our race with passion and determination on a path that has been already marked out for us.
If you can satisfy yourself on the substance of Christ, you will not be moved by things around you; good or bad. Faith is the key to the Kingdom of God: as He (Christ) is, so are we on earth, we have the choice to believe that or not.
The reading is from 2 Timothy 2 from the Passion Translation. We look at Paul’s description of the last days & how he exhorted Timothy to overcome by having the ‘truth wrapped around his heart’. We talk about going from hearing truth to receiving revelation for yourself so you walk in it to God’s glory.
As children of God we have the privilege of the mind of Christ but we are often trapped in fleshly thoughts that cause confusion, sadness and defeat. There’s a way out of that!
