Psyop Cinema: Recent Episodes

Thomas Millary

Psyop Cinema is a podcast about the film industry and its intimate connections to mass manipulation, conspiracy, and the occult. Hosts Thomas Millary and Brett Carollo explore film from a deep politics perspective, demonstrating how the artistry of cinema combines with psychological and technological knowledge to engineer culture in subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) ways— making each of us the subject of the greatest mind control experiment in history.

Musician and musicologist Dr. Hans Utter joins Brett to discuss Oliver Stone’s 1991 musical biopic The Doors, a “trip movie” that is the first full-on showcase of Stone’s signature frenetic-psychedelic style which helped define the media zeitgeist of the 1990s. During the production, we reveal, Stone and his companions conducted countless New Age rituals, peyote ceremonies, and magical workings, and they expressly designed the film itself to function as a neo-shamanic ritual, imbuing its audience with his “Nietzschean” brand of countercultural spirituality via the myth of Jim Morrison. Much of our analysis focuses on Stone’s surprisingly open embrace of “the dark side of the 60s,” including the infernal symbols and ceremonies of witchcraft and Satanism. We compare Stone’s portrayal of Morrison, as the embodiment of Dionysus, with the prefabricated archetype of the rock star as the incarnation of Lucifer/Satan. The conversation also revisits Dave McGowan’s Laurel Canyon thesis regarding the military and intelligence backgrounds of the Laurel Canyon scene that created the counterculture, since Stone directly references Morrison’s elite military background in the film, but in a way that misdirects the audience from “culture conspiracy.” Brett and Hans touch on the 27 Club, the cult of the artist, and many other related topics besides.
A lengthy addendum from Thomas speaks to subjects including Morrison and Stone's disturbing shared Oedipus complex, how The Doors film exemplifies Timothy Leary's idea of reprogramming the brain via psychedelic chaos, and how the movie represents a sinister turning point in Stone's filmography, marked by the start of the enigmatic Richard Rutowski's influence upon Stone.

Steven Delay returns to our Surveillance Cinema series for a discussion of Sydney Pollack's 1993 legal thriller The Firm, starring Tom Cruise. We first spend some time on Pollack's background, including his established Mossad connections and the themes of his 1975 paranoid spy thriller Three Days of the Condor, which had significant CIA involvement in its production. The Firm turns out to be largely a misdirection op, depicting a white shoe law firm as running interference for the mafia (a favorite Hollywood scapegoat) rather than for the deep state. We also talk about themes of demoralization, subversion of traditional social values, and the movie's significant Masonic/occult symbolism.
This conversation was recorded in April but personal circumstances took us away from the podcast for a couple months.

After many requests for this analysis, Thomas is joined by Travis Mateer to cover Eddington, Ari Aster's 2025 neo-Western political satire and early-Covid period piece. We break down the film's portrayal of technology, social media, conspiracy theories, Covid, Wokeness, and data collection, situating its messaging within the context of the cultural transitions and inter-elite warfare of the last half decade. While many have called the film meta-political or omni-political, comments from Aster and a careful reading of Eddington reveal the clear ideological agenda of this very sophisticated psyop. To further understand Aster's worldview, we also explore Beau Is Afraid, his incredibly unpleasant 2023 epic surrealistic horror tragicomedy, which gives fascinating insights into some of the ethnic and religious roots of Hollywood's fixation on the archetype of the devouring mother. Finally, we discuss Bugonia, Yorgos Lanthimos' 2025 dark comedy thriller, which similarly to Eddington, is a film that pretends to take conspiratorial concerns seriously while bolstering the same old elite ideologies.

After his hyper-sus digression of Talk Radio (1988), we return to the thematic focus that defined this era of Olive Stone's career. He continues to explore the ghosts of the 1960s with Born on the Fourth of July, his 1989 anti-war drama starring Tom Cruise. We keep analyzing Stone's treatments of religion, sexuality, war, and masculinity, go over some sus production credits, and talk about how this film sets the stage for his even more extensive interaction with the counterculture psyop in 1991's The Doors.

A preview clip from Brett's recent deep dive into the 1954 film Suddenly, starring Frank Sinatra as a mob hitman hired to assassinate a US president. The full Patreon-exclusive episode is a supplement to both our Joker Cycle series and our recent episode on The Manchurian Candidate.

Brett uncovers the source of the legend that Lee Harvey Oswald viewed the film a month before the JFK assassination, exposing how that legend has been deliberately amplified by intelligence assets and professional psyop’ers with a view toward bolstering the lone gunman theory. According to another legend, Sinatra had the film pulled out of circulation after the assassination—a carbon copy of a popular legend about The Manchurian Candidate. Brett explains how these legends have been used to apply a soft version of the “copycat” thesis to Oswald, as well as how the film’s portrayal of the psychopathic assassin instantiates an early form of the profile, popularized in later films like Taxi Driver. Media depictions of the profile, as explained here and throughout the Joker Cycle series, function not only to explain away assassinations and other deep states crimes but, via the dynamics of cybernetic feedback loops, to engineer the very psychopathological behaviors depicted.

Returning to True Detective, Thomas is joined by Jamie Hanshaw Dyer to analyze the controversial fourth season, Night Country, which takes a much less subtle approach in its psy-op messaging than any previous season. They describe its occult feminist inversions of the first season and how Night Country promotes the dissolution of both familial and metaphysical order. Thomas also gives his updated thoughts on the positive and negative aspects of the series as a whole and speculates about the original intentions behind it.

Brett and Thomas are joined by Jason McGinty, author of The Unsung Substack, for a discussion of both Clint Eastwood's 1976 film The Outlaw Josey Wales and Eastwood's broader persona. We talk about the movie's use of the Lost Cause narrative about the Civil War, with Jason providing his expertise on the historical backdrop of the film, the war between the Jayhawker and Bushwhacker guerilla factions in Kansas and Missouri. With references to many Eastwood films and other aspects of his life and career, we make the case that the rugged individualism of his action movies was largely a Trojan horse, a masculine guise used to subvert the social order and accelerate the dissolution of the family.

In the second installment of our Surveillance Cinema series, we are joined by citizen journalist Travis Mateer for a discussion of Sneakers, a 1992 comedy heist thriller, directed by Phil Alden Robinson and starring Robert Redford and Ben Kingsley. Among the most conspiratorially significant films of all time, Sneakers is an overt vehicle for globalist views on information warfare, filled with limited hangouts, misdirection, and predictive programming. We get into the sus background of the director, writers, and much of the cast, also analyzing related films, such as Blindfold (1966), WarGames (1983), and Volunteers (1985).

Continuing our Oliver Stone series, we analyze the psy-ops within his 1988 film Talk Radio. Starring and co-written by Eric Bogossian, this film is strangely out of place in this era of Stone's filmography, and we discuss why Stone was led to direct such an unusually impersonal film. Based in large part on the career and assassination of liberal shock jock Alan Berg, the film gives us occasion to look at cultural engineering campaigns related to fears of right-wing extremism and anti-semitism. To that end, we also take close looks at the 1988 film Betrayed (directed by Costa-Gavras) and the 2024 film The Order (directed by Justin Kurzel), two other movies that showcase distorted depictions of the events surrounding Berg's murder. Finally, Brett also explains the relevance of Reversal of Fortune and Iron Maze, two other joint production credits for Oliver Stone and Edward Pressman (also a producer of Talk Radio, along with Wall Street and Blue Steel).

Brett and Thomas have William Ramsey on to discuss The Manchurian Candidate, one of the most iconic cinematic depictions of mind control. We analyze the movie's abundant revelation of the method and misdirection. Other topics of discussion include the deep political context behind this film and similar movies and the strangeness surrounding the JFK assassination and other key events from that time period.

NOTE: To spell out the family and social connections from one portion of our discussion, Ruth Paine (born Ruth Hyde) was married to Michael Paine, whose mother was Ruth Forbes Young. Ruth Forbes Young's first marriage was to Michael's father, Lyman Paine, before her second marriage to Arthur M. Young, an inventor and proto-New Age process philosopher. It was Ruth Forbes Young who was a close friend of Mary Bancroft. Ruth Forbes Young was a world federalist and also a great-granddaughter of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Aside from the Bancroft connection, the most interesting thing about Ruth Paine's mother-in-law and her second husband is that Ruth Forbes Young and Arthur Young participated in the Council of Nine channeling seances held by military/intelligence-connected parapsychologist Andrija Puharich.

With Wall Street (1987), Oliver Stone continues both his search for the figure of the "good father" and his consideration of the legacy of 1960s idealism, this time through a critique of 1980s economic greed. We discuss those themes and how the movie is largely a limited hangout, with Gordon Gekko functioning as a fall guy for the true money power. Finally, we note a surprising amount of 9/11 predictive programming in the film.

A section analyzing David Bowie, from the 15th installment of Brett's Patreon-exclusive series on Monarch films. Full description of the episode below, along with our Patreon link, if you're interested in the full episode.

In this 15th installment in the Monarch series, Brett delves into the Jim Henson-directed children’s film Labyrinth (1986)—a film so saturated with Monarch content that it serves as a paradigm of Monarch cinema in general. The episode opens with a close look at the career of Monarch superstar Jennifer Connelly, including two other full-on Monarch films she starred in during the 1980s: Phenomena (1985) and Ballet (1989). Additionally, Brett examines the occult career of David Bowie (who plays the Goblin King in Labyrinth); he discusses Jim Henson’s collaborations with the federal government (including the CIA-linked United States Information Agency), as well as reexamining Henson’s sudden death at age 53; and he uncovers some stunning revelations by an entertainment industry insider and professed victim of Monarch abuse that relate to the plot of the film. Fritz Springmeier and Cisco Wheeler devote an entire section of their Illuminati Formula book to this film, and Brett combs over their analysis, while drawing some wider conclusions about the function of Labyrinth and other 1980s Monarch films geared toward children.

Continuing our Oliver Stone series, we turn to Platoon (1986), the film that established Stone as a superstar director and inaugurated the most celebrated phase of his career, revolving around the ghosts of the 1960s. Brett discusses the reception of Platoon in terms of the cultural politics of New Hollywood and of the Reagan era, and he considers the real reasons for the emergence of the Vietnam film at this time. He also takes a closer look at Hemdale, the sus production company behind this and Stone’s previous effort, and he offers some personal reflections on the film’s legacy. Thomas discusses the neo-shamanic, countercultural spirituality invested in the Willem Dafoe character and offers an analysis of the “two fathers” theme that would come to define Stone’s work.

In his latest appearance on William Ramsey Investigates, Brett discusses Part 2 of his Hollywood-NASA research report, which appeared this June in the second issue of Cultural Engineering Studies. After giving an overview of his groundbreaking research on the topic, Brett supports his conclusion that NASA’s partnership with the entertainment industry has always been a globalist cultural engineering operation. William and Brett also talk about Arthur C. Clarke’s central role in coordinating NASA support for the production of Kubrick’s 2001, and Brett reveals never-before-seen information from the Kubrick Archive in London, offering new insights into the Luciferian-transhumanist religiosity at the heart of the film. Finally, Brett touches on the disturbing trauma-based mind control subtexts of NASA-supported children’s films from the 1980s, including Flight of the Navigator, as well as NASA’s ongoing promotion of the moon hoax theory (in movies like the recent Fly Me to the Moon) as a form of psychological warfare.

A discussion with Carrie Olaje, a survivor of ritual abuse and trauma-based mind control. Carrie provides names, dates, and locations, as she describes how she was primed from a young age for Monarch slavery, with a former Sergeant Major of the US Army as her handler. She and Brett talk about the nature and history of the cryptocratic cult, as well as the question of possible intentional disinfo within the testimony of certain Monarch survivors. Fantasy themes and imagery featured heavily within the mind control abuse Carrie underwent, so we analyze four strange animated fantasy films that she reports were used as tools by programmers. Thomas talks to Carrie about Rankin and Bass Studio's animated films The Hobbit (1977) and Return of the King (1980), as well as Ralph Bakshi's infamous The Lord of the Rings (1978), before Brett gives a detailed analysis of the Monarch film The Last Unicorn (1982). Thomas also provides some thoughts on the spiritual pitfalls of the fantasy genre, the psy-op function of different kinds of fantasy films, and the surprising ideological agenda behind these animated movies.

Brett, Thomas, and Steven have a comprehensive discussion of the 1998 Tony Scott film Enemy of the State, a movie with an underrated amount of conspiratorial significance. Our long-awaited analysis of Joker: Folie à Deux, a film so sadistic that even mainstream critics noted its contempt for its audience. In one of the ultimate exercises in Hollywood hypocrisy, the movie seeks to reinforce the psy-op of the 2019 film while simultaneously morally condemning the audience for falling for that psy-op. We analyze the movie's demonological subtext and discuss how Folie à Deux is interestingly distinct from both standard Joker Cycle films and from overt Hollywood goddess worship.

Brett and Thomas are joined by Sean McCann and Dr. Hans Utter for a deep dive into Angel Heart, a mystery horror movie released in 1987, directed by Alan Parker and starring Mickey Rourke and Robert De Niro. Set in New Orleans in 1955, the film is a Faustian tale about the disappearance of a singer named Johnny Favorite, giving us the chance to consider the occult origins of the modern music industry at length. A Satanic film about Satanic pacts, Angel Heart is filled with revelation of the method designed to disorient and destabilize its audience and contains abundant subtext about how the MK-entertainment industry creates IMSAs (Illuminati Mind Slave Artists). Returning from our unofficial hiatus, we continue our series on Oliver Stone. The early 1980s saw the release of a few films written by Stone that centered upon violent antiheroes. We talk about John Milius and his clash of visions with Stone over the approach to mysticism in 1982's Conan the Barbarian. Next, Scarface and The Year of the Dragon both unsuccessfully grasp toward Stone's political turn, while the much higher quality Salvador (1986) is the movie that truly brings Stone into his own as a filmmaker. Analyzing the insights and limitations of Salvador's critique of the CIA, we consider how its protagonist (journalist Richard Boyle, played by James Woods) reflects Stone's evolving approach to masculinity and to the legacy of the counterculture.

The first episode in an extended series about Oliver Stone. Despite Stone being known for political films that deal with recent American history, his first two directorial efforts are surprisingly strange horror movies. Our discussion of Seizure and The Hand takes us directly into analysis of Hollywood occult ideology about the power of the imagination. We also note how his screenplay for The Midnight Express provides a glimpse into the kind of social critique that characterizes much of his later work. While Stone displays insights and a sincerity that separate him from overtly manipulative directors like Nolan and Fincher, we note that his filmography contains several unsettling ambiguities and that his early career suggests some interactions with intelligence services.

Sean McCann returns to Psyop Cinema to unveil the Fidelio Experiment—which, we are quite confident, is not only the state-of-the-art in occult Kubrick studies but the key to unlocking the final secrets of the cinematic master. Sean first takes us through his long investigative journey, including his previous milestone, “The Butterfly Net,” and explains how he finally cracked the Kubrick code. After applyingthe password to Eyes Wide Shut internally as well as to the bulk of Kubrick’s filmography, Sean and Brett then compare this grand unified theory against the information provided in Jasun Horsley’s The Kubrickon regarding Kubrick’s early relationships with the deep state and the core Thelemite circle in Hollywood. Finally, Brett highlights the almost completely ignored direct link between Kubrick and the Third Reich, revealing who “the Nazis” really were for Kubrick.

The concluding episode of our series with Steven DeLay on the films of Terrence Malick. Thomas gives a speculative explanation for why Voyage of Time (2016) was so unwatchably bad. We have an extended discussion about the beautiful depiction of Christian martyrdom in Malick's 2019 film A Hidden Life, which portrays the life of Franz Jägerstätter, a conscientious objector under the Nazi regime. Brett (rejoining the Malick series for the first time since the initial three episodes) gives his opinion on some of the films that Thomas and Steven have analyzed in recent entries. Finally, we talk about our overall impression of Malick's work and career and give our picks for his best and worst films (in terms of both themes and craftsmanship).

In a new installment of their series on David Fincher, Thomas and Brett cover The Killer, Fincher's 2023 hitman thriller starring Michael Fassbender. They discuss Fincher's continued preoccupation with psychopathy and the dark self archetype, the film's hints concerning deep state conspiracies and the Thelemic religion of Hollywood, and its surprising thematic connections to Fincher's previous film, Mank. Just as Oppenheimer confirmed the show's conclusions about Nolan, The Killer totally validates the Psyop Cinema reading of Fincher.

Thomas and Steven conclude their analysis of Malick's Weightless trilogy, looking at his 2017 film Song to Song. With this movie, Malick solidifies the Weightless trilogy's status as authentically Christian (specifically, Kierkegaardian) cinema. Using the setting of the Austin music scene, it delivers a positive message concerning the emptiness of hedonistic contemporary culture and how that lifestyle might be escaped. Thomas and Steven pay special attention to Michael Fassbender's role as a sinister record producer named Cook, Malick's version of a Miltonian Satan, a character that hints at the dark occult underbelly of the music industry.

We are joined by both William Ramsey and Sean McCann for a discussion that follows up on the analysis we did with them earlier this year of Leave the World Behind. Unpacking the surprisingly dull recent Alex Garland film Civil War, we also spend time talking about the much more lively film The Second Civil War, a 1997 made for TV movie directed by Joe Dante. The Second Civil War offers a satirical depiction of a heavily diversified America that is unable to cope with the complexities of globalization and is on the brink of violent conflict. We analyze the political ethos driving each film, considering their approaches to the ideal of journalistic neutrality, and discussing the extent to which Garland's film offers a pretense of being non-ideological. These films also give us the chance to offer our interpretations of recent American political developments and our thoughts about whether the events of such movies may represent our genuine future.

Continuing their examination of the Weightless trilogy, Thomas and Steven explore Knight of Cups, Malick's 2015 film that dreamily depicts a screenwriter's search for meaning, as he wanders through the maze of Hollywood life. Analyzing the film's gnostic and tarot reference points, they again seek to discern whether Malick is subverting standard Hollywood spirituality with a distinctly Christian vision. Thomas theorizes that Malick's use of the tarot is a sly and sophisticated critique of Hollywood hedonism as well as the occult worldview that underpins it.

In a discussion that much of our longrunning Joker analysis has built to, we do a deep dive into Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver (1976). We explain the foundational place of Scorsese's film in the feedback loop between media and spectacular crime that we call the Joker Cycle. Looking at other relevant films and filmmakers, we speculate on the possible role of Brian de Palma in the Taxi Driver psy-op, discuss Peter Bogdanovich's Targets (1968) as an early entry into the feedback loop, and explain the over-the-top revelation of the method in The Last Horror Film (1982). Breaking down Taxi Driver, we talk about the manufactured profile of the lone wolf spectacular criminal, Travis Bickle as proto-incel, and how the movie is a paradigmatic example of MK-culture reality/fiction breakdown.

Thomas is joined by both Rachel Wilson and Rebecca Dillingham (Dissident Mama) for a discussion of the thriving subgenre of woke-themed horror. We take a look at the movies Antebellum and Don't Worry Darling, breaking down the inversion, projection, and misdirection in their depictions of mind control. Rachel and Rebecca also rip apart the factual inaccuracies in Antebellum's portrayal of the 19th century South and the failed propaganda of Don't Worry Darling's portrait of 1950s suburban America.

We are joined by Paul and Phillip Collins to discuss their book Invoking the Beyond. The Collins brothers' research details how the ideology of techno-utopianism replaces the divine with counterfeits such as AI, superweapons, or extraterrestrial 'gods,' using these surrogates to epistemically overwhelm humanity and push for the creation of a 'New Man.' We get into the historical and philosophical aspects of this elite religion of "the beyond," focusing on the increasingly mainstreamed UFO-psyop. Discussing UFO-spirituality gives us the chance to analyze a Spielberg film for the first time on the show, as we unpack the creepy infantilizing messaging of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Brett and Thomas are joined by philosopher Steven DeLay, for the first of an intermittent series we'll be doing with him on the films of Terrence Malick. After giving an overview of Malick, we analyze the Malick movie that most directly interacts with the major topics of Psyop Cinema, his 1973 debut Badlands. We discuss how it treats the themes of social alienation, nihilism and dissociation and consider the possibility that this poetic and eerie lovers-on-the-run crime drama is secretly an MKUltra movie.

We sift through more serial killer misdirection as we analyze The Little Things, an enigmatic thriller starring Denzel Washington and Jared Leto. All the usual themes of religious engineering and hints of the realities of Programmed to Kill conspiracies are present. Ultimately, this film's odd meta-commentary on the serial killer genre seems to be mostly about Leto's real life pretensions at being a master manipulator.

Thomas is joined by two returning guests, James Ellis of Hermitix and Geoff Shullenberger of Outsider Theory, to discuss several John Carpenter films. We talk about the struggle against paranoia and inhuman monstrosity in The Thing, Gnostic-Catholic conspiracies and pop-science in Prince of Darkness, the insights and shortcomings of They Live's critique of consumer capitalism, and we disagree about whether there's anything of cinematic and thematic value in Vampires. Overall, we come to a mixed assessment of Carpenter's work, appreciating some pro-human notes despite his darkly apocalyptic and boomer liberal tendencies. Suicide Squad is an especially important entry in our series on Jared Leto, given that his performance as the Joker is the reason we've been taking such a close look at his hyper-sus career. Unsurprisingly, Suicide Squad turns out to be among the most explicitly Monarch mind control themed superhero films of all time. We talk about the deep state/occult matrix, how the 'squad' is set against the family, the strange career of Cara Delevingne, and what all this might have to do with Jack Parsons.

CLARIFICATION: In our discussion of the different components of Monarch mind control, we conflated 'gamma' and 'theta' programming. Gamma programming, according to Springmeier, is about the "secret layering of demons" through ritual abuse, whereas theta programming is the more proper designation for the development of psi superpowers through Monarch techniques.

A preview for a special interlude of our Joker series, in which Brett goes deep into the background of Lennon's assassination, giving you everything you need to know about the troubling case of Mark David Chapman. His analysis is essential listening before the future episode of our Joker series in which we cover Chapter 27, a Monarch film where Chapman is played by the ultra-sus Jared Leto. The killing of John Lennon turns out to be a key piece of the puzzle in the dark web of conspiratorial deep politics and synchronicity traced in our ongoing exploration of the Joker. We discuss the significance of Joker's ending and its depiction of the absolute breakdown of social foundations. Then we move on to The Batman, a painful waste of three hours dedicated to the idea that in order to truly be a hero, Batman must help AOC fight a domestic war on terror against incel conspiracy theorists. The Batman may be a terrible movie but it's replete with odd details that caught our attention.

Analyzing Joker gives us the chance to discuss the overall Psyop Cinema theory of culture, especially as related to the blurring of reality and fantasy and how that creates dark feedback loops between fiction and history. Thinking about Taxi Driver leads us to consider the importance of the Phoenix Program for understanding our ongoing national trauma. We also talk about the inherent dangers of both comedy and method acting and how all of this relates to demon summoning and human sacrifice.

We are joined by William Ramsey for a dark but important conversation about violent Satanic crime and conspiracy. We talk about the evil significance of Aleister Crowley and the Crowleyan world we now live in. He explains the history and ideology of Satanic Nazi groups like the Order of Nine Angles and Atomwaffen. We go deep into the details of the West Memphis 3 case, arguing that Echols and the others are guilty of the truly demonic crime. Finally, we discuss the legendary paranoid 1970s conspiracy thriller The Parallax View. With other material on 9/11, the JFK assassination, Reagan's attempted assassination, Donald Cammell, Scientology, O9A symbolism in popular music, and more, this is one of the most chilling and info-dense episodes of Psyop Cinema yet.

With this episode, we begin our Joker series, analyzing movies and themes related to the 2019 film. Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Joker turns out to be a kind of master key for Psyop Cinema themes. We think about the history of the character, delve into Scorsese's The King of Comedy, and consider how the Joker's madness figures into the agenda of the global elite.

Initially, this was simply going to be a bonus episode about the 2022 film The Batman, which we planned to analyze because of our previous coverage of Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder's depictions of the character. That evolved into the idea of a standard episode covering both Joker and The Batman. But we quickly realized the figure of the Joker ties together a stunning number of Psyop Cinema research threads. Looking down a rabbit hole filled with madmen, assassins, mind control, sinister magic, and a dizzying feedback loop between art and history, we realized this would take several episodes (and the connections have continued to surface in our research since). So strap in, everybody. This journey gets weird.

This episode also marks the Psyop Cinema debut of Thomas' wife Mariana, who brings her expertise concerning women's health and fertility to the discussion of how the elites poison our bodies as well as our minds.

We tease apart the limited hangout that is David Fincher's Mindhunter series. Fincher continues to distort the genuine nature of the serial killer phenomenon, glorifying the profiler and serial killer alike while giving borderline supernatural status to the latter. We identify the shocking length to which Mindhunter promotes Charles Manson's own account of his crimes.
