The event has been going on for over 5 years & is put on by Ronnie’s wife, Wendy Dio to help raise money to fight caner, in honor of the rock legend. The night allows rock fans to come together & bowl with some of their favorite rock stars in memory of Ronnie James Dio!
Rock & Roll media personality, Eddie Trunk a long with rock stars: Tom Morello, Orianthi, Gilby Clark, Rudy Sarzo, Simon Wright, Scott Warren, Jesse Hughes & Bjorn Englen all shared fun Dio stories & memories with me on the red carpet. Friend of the show & relief pitcher, John Brebbia, returned to reflect back on the 2023 MLB season. Brebbia was one of the main San Francisco Giants key relievers & excelled as a ‘bull-pen’ starter from time to time when the Giants needed someone to start the first few innings of a game.

The annual Willie McCovey Golf Classic was held at the prestigious TPC Harding Park golf course in San Francisco to help support the Giants Community Fund!
Many San Francisco Giants alumni participated to support the program that helps out many Junior Giants in the community! This was a program that was near & dear to the heart of Giants legend, Willie 'Stretch' McCovey.

Today marks a sad day in baseball as legendary pitcher & friend of the show, Vida Blue has passed away at the age of 73. I have reposted the interview I was able to do with Vida in 2021 & had such a fun time reminscing on his life & career.
I grew up seeing Vida Blue around town as I grew up in Tracy, Ca & he was always the most humble & friendly guy. I will miss him asking ME what I thought about the current Giants teams.
I figured I owed Vida a tribute today and it was one of the more fun interviews I've been able to do on the Jim on base show. I'm going to miss those random run-ins we would have at the gym, grocery store or at the ballpark.
