In This episode Lasella introduces Jaime Jackson Founder RESEARCHER AND AUTHOR of the worldwide famous movement and book PADDOCK PARADISE A guide to NATURAL HORSE BOARDING.
Domestic horses that are locked in stables, with limited movement, or removed from the herd into isolated living and fed processed bagged feeds,
very quickly their health deteriorates, which puzzles many farriers vets and horse owners............
He noticed that in order for horses to thrive their basic needs must be addressed:
DIET- no restrictions of ad lib hay 24/7
MOVEMENT- they are athletic animals, they move for 20 hours of the day
HOOF CARE- barefoot, and freedom of movement over varied terrain and trimmed correctly
ENVIRONMENT- varied terrain for healthy tough hooves and strong muscles, other horses to play and socialise and groom with.
