I will be breaking down Nu Metal year by year, artist by artist, song by song.
I will be talking about the best and the worst and hopefully even talking to some of the people around at the time.

I first give a very brief description of the film and then talk about how I discovered the film and what it means / meant to me.

This episode is focused on the band Alter Bridge. They have just released their new album so I have reminisced about the times I have seen them live together with the time I was able to meet them.

I look at one of my all time favorite albums this time and it is by Savage Garden - Affirmation. I talk about why I like it so much, how it is NOT a guilty pleasure and what is believed to have happened to the band.
My favorite playlist is here however, I do say I would add a playlist for just the album and I have decided not too because my favorite playlist is mostly just this album.
In this episode, I talk about going to see the legends that are REM at the large, outside venue at Hyde Park in London. They announced that Feeder would be their support which made the concert one of the biggest however, we have a problem with the fact that I choose to queue up over night for the first time and we have problems with different types of queues not being dealt with correctly.
As a legacy to the late, great Olivia Newton-John, I spend this episode talking about the movie Xanadu and the soundtrack.
I start this podcast by talking about the comedian I have seen the most over the years, Mark Thomas. I first say him on TV on a show called Mark Thomas' Comedy Product and I have been keeping an eye out for his live shows ever since. An, over the top, exaggerated example of his comedy can be seen here.
Then, I talk about the UK comedy legends Harry Enfield & Paul Whitehouse. I explain part of why they are as big as they are and then about the tour they did to support their tv show.
Finally, I talk about a show I first saw on the Royal Varity Performance, and then Live. it goes by the header "Comic Martial Arts Performance" and it is called Jump. The best way I can describe the show is a combination of Dragon Ball Z and Kung Fu Hustle on stage. It was extremely funny and the Royal Varity Performance can be seen here.
I start this episode by discussing how I, or should I say my brother, discovered the band Dead Letter Circus. I talk about their first official release album This Is The Warning and then go on to discuss the two times I have seen them in concert.

I start by discussing two Drummers that I don't think get enough recognition. Cindy Blackman Santana, who has been a drummer for Lenny Kravitz and Hayley Cramer, the current drummer for Pop Evil.
I then talk about, possibly one of the best Guitarists I have ever seen live, Gabriela Quintero from the band Rodrigo y Gabriela. An example of their amazing guitar work can be seen here

Around the 25 min mark, I discuss why the concert is considered cursed and open a discussion into what someone would have to do for you to not listen to them anymore and whether an entire band should take the brunt of abuse for a single members actions.

The Barenaked Ladies are one of my favorite bands of all time and they are one of the bands I have been listening to the longest.
I start by discussing how I first discovered them and no, it wasn't when they released One Week like everyone else. I was given an album to listen to, Rock Spectacle and it has become one of my all time favorite albums.
I do try to keep this as positave as I can, they are still one of my top three bands of all time however, I do feel differently about them now as I did when I first discovered them and I discuss this in more detail.

The above playlist is a celebration of all women in rock and in this episode, I discuss the people on the list and why I would like people to just listen and enjoy artists and groups in ROCK rather than arguing over which genre they should be in or if they should even by "in" rock at all. At first, I talk about the time my Brother and me went to Boston to see them perform The Color Spectrum in it's entirety. I then talk about the two other times I have seen them in London and the fact that I currently have tickets to see them.......when ever it actually happens!!
I feel that there are some bands that out there that just never get the big break they need to really make it as big as they deserve. In this episode, I start by talking about the band "Lights, Action" who are the band I have seen live the most.
I them talk about "A Silent Film" and how their music style would fit perfectly along side bands like Coldplay and Snow Patrol.
I finally talk about "Grumble Bee" and how I personally believe they struggled to win the live audience over.
This time I start by explaining a tattoo design I came up with involving the two bands 3 Days Grace and Creed and how the design is incredibly similar to the logo Blue October used for their label Up / Down Records.
I then discuss the many Blue October concerts I have attended over the years, including the time they used filmed footage from one of the gigs as the Official Video for the song "Should Be Loved".

In this episode, I talk about Nickelback and the three different times I have seen them. I also discuss why so many people hate them so much and try to find out why.
The first time was for the album 'The Long Road'. I saw them in Brixton for a concert that tried to be bigger than it was.
Second was for the album 'All the Right Reasons' in Shepherds Bush Empire where Chad did one of the nicest things I've seen at a concert.
The final time was at the O2 in London with the band Staind and was absolutely fantastic...if not a little strange.
