Mindfully Thrive: Recent Episodes

Ella Humphreys

This is the podcast that celebrates the present. The joy in where we are, the journey it’s taken to get here, and the ability to see our greatness for the future. We celebrate female founders, adventure seekers and creative entrepreneurs who are building their dreams alongside raising babies and any other life commitments that can so easily distract us from the path we truly desire. This is a podcast about coming back to who we are in this life and that our dreams, goals and ambitions are valid and possible while also being a loving and present parent.

Teaching our kids to be future-proof and how sharing some of our own adult experiences can help them make good decisions for their own future.

This week I had Jeanie Scott, skin therapist on the show and we have a fun conversation with some tough bits in between. No story is linear and the light brings with it shadows or as you'll hear the shadow is what perhaps lights your soul purpose up, as Jeanie shares her story of embracing the difficulties and getting curious about them, this led to finding her purpose and to share her gifts, ultimately bringing joy in others. **You will hear what Jeanie is getting out of bed for in the mornings, what keeps her up late at night, and how she takes the barking dog, two young boys and everything in between in her stride, on the good days!

This week is part one of two solo episodes of Human Design, my recent learnings in this most wonderfully fascinating subject. I'm so obsessed, I really had to share it with you.
It’s a System for self-discovery and personal growth, it's a synthesis of both ancient and modern sciences, from astrology, the kabbalah, the ancient Chinese I- Ching, the chakra system and quantum physics. Each of these parts tells you about your authentic self and who you are in your essence. Truly Fascinating!
**Can you imagine having your specific user manual for how to operate in this world based on your energetic design? This manual allows you to operate in the most optimal and authentic way for you.

Check out the episode to find out how Jenn Stevens from The Aligned Life describes the different Aura Types, so beautifully stated.

This week, my hugely talented guest is the Welsh Maker, Amy Swann.
Amy works with varied materials and creates beautiful and unexpected delights from Cake decoration, fit for the most exquisite weddings to intricate and delicate heirlooms to be savoured and treasured for generations. Her work is very much centred around creating memories. Amy shares so much about her journey of following her inspiration and leading with love as she stays true to her passions and purpose.
Amy and I share many commonalities yet our lives took very different paths and it's a pleasure to share this conversation on art, motherhood, trusting the process of life and allowing the pleasures to guide you towards the next opportunity.
Don't be fooled into thinking this conversation is not for you, as you are not a teacher, it is in its essence a conversation about navigating life from the vantage point of trust in your own unique truth and allowing life to unfold, without knowing all the details, yet fully embracing the fact that the thing that lights you up, is the thing you were born to do.
How lucky she was to have seen and felt it so clearly, and been granted the gift of parents who fully embraced her desires and now it's her turn to show her kids her way to live authentically and trust the process.

This week was especially enjoyable for me to have the unique soul Lauren Barber join me in conversation. We discuss all aspects of living as a multi-faceted human, the shame that is tied up in what that looks like and the ever-evolving journey of a seeker.
We talk about the struggle to fit into the mould when it comes to building a business, the alternative approach to that. Gaining a deeper connection to the world around you through simple acts of sacred self-care in your day to day and the art of heart work and her ever-growing community. Lauren also picks an Oracle Card for us, join in and I look forward to hearing your views on this episode.

This week I have Iona Hickman with me, join us as we delve into the art of being present as a mother while building a side business and continuing the nine to five. Iona is passionate about design but more significantly about the true purpose of greeting cards and the connection we have we write them.
We discuss the possibility that thriving is simply maintaining the balance of life as a mum and the needs of your own souls calling.
Find out all about the hashtag #motherhooditsanotherhood and how bonding with others through vulnerability and honesty helped Iona during the early days of motherhood. We both share intimate struggles of raising children and, giving up on the ideals of perfections and instead, leaning into progress, whether that be in our passion projects, or life as a whole.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
