Hi travelers...

In the city where I live, North Sumatra, there is a very famous tourist destination, even for foreign travelers. That is Lake Toba. According to legend, Lake Toba is a lake that was formed because a man could not keep his promise to his wife, in the end, Toba (the name of the area) sank and left one island, namely Samosir, in the middle of the lake.

If you search for Lake Toba on the search engine you will find many beautiful views. Seen from any side, Lake Toba has a very beautiful and natural view. Green is everywhere and nature is still well preserved.

Lake Toba has many places that must be visited. I think going around every corner of Lake Toba is the same as when you visit every corner in Europe, because Lake Toba is very big. In all my life, I have never even set foot in any place in Lake Toba. There are still places I missed. However, this time I want to share one of the places I have visited with my friends some time ago.

That is Paropo.

Paropo, Lake Toba

Paropo is one of the villages located in the District of Silahi Sabangan, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra. This area is very famous for its natural beauty, also referred to as the most beautiful corner of several other corners of Lake Toba. This angle is also often used by climbers for camping.

If you watch my video, you can see how beautiful Paropo is from above. The scenery in Paropo is very aesthetic and for those of you who want to improve your Instagram feed, come here and take pictures at Paropo like I did.

Hi guys...

this time I want to share my first experience snowboarding in Karuizawa. It's really an experience that makes me very enthusiastic.

The Story Behind Why Choose Karuizawa

One of the reasons why I chose to spend my first winter in Japan snowboarding surfing is because it is my first winter. I am very enthusiastic about doing activities in winter, which of course I have never done before. Japan is also in the long holiday season, so there's no harm in spending this long holiday by snowboarding in Karuizawa.

Accompanied by our seniors, me and some of my friends chose Karuizawa because there is one very big surfing spot. We went there by riding the Shinkansen high speed train. This is also our first time traveling by high-speed shinkansen.

So this is our journey to Karuizawa to Snowboarding in our first winter.<

Where is Karuizawa

Karuizawa is one of the places in Japan that has natural beauty. Karuizawa is located in the Kitasaku district. It was the eastern region of the Nagano area. Apart from presenting truly beautiful natural beauty, Karuizawa is also filled with works of art and the most recognized museum in Karuizawa is The Museum of Contemporary Art Karuizawa.

I live in the Sano area, Tochigi. The distance between Tochigi and Karuizawa is quite far. It takes 1 hour 47 minutes to travel from Tochigi on the high-speed Shinkansen. Actually we could have rented a private car to get there, but because we also have never been on the high-speed shinkansen, we decided to use the shinkansen instead. so we have a lot of exciting experiences that we have never tried before.

There are several alternatives to public transportation to reach Karuizawa. The most widely used is using the Shinkansen high-speed train. In addition, buses are available. It's just that if you use the bus you will use a lot of your time on the trip, so it's better to save by using the shinkansen only. I recommend if you guys travel to Japan someday.

Karuizawa also has a very comfortable climate. Karuizawa's humidity is lower than other cities. When visiting in summer, the climate in Karuizawa is still cool, and in winter, Karuizawa has a very cold temperature compared to other places covered in snow.

Hi everybody...

It's winter. In some countries that have winter, this is a great time to play in the snow. I've been on social media and some countries have snowed. My friend who is in Japan also uploaded some photos when it snowed for the first time a few days ago. My social media also reminds me of memories of winter in Japan.

So I re-opened my files and found a video that made me miss Japan so much, especially playing in the snow.

I remember when my friends and I went to Nagano to go skiing. It was our first time meeting winter, so we took advantage of it to ski in Nagano.

To get there from our flat we rented a car and went together. It took several hours to get to Nagano.

Why did we choose to go to Nagano? That's because Nagano is a pretty place to ski. So we will get a lot of fun, namely the scenery and skiing.

As seen in the video, during winter Nagano is crowded with local tourists who want to go skiing. Even though it's very cold, it doesn't dampen anyone's enthusiasm to ski there.

For ski rental is not difficult even though we are foreign tourists. We just had to show our ID cards and we could rent the skis for as long as we wanted.

For your little information, Nagano is inland on the island of Honshu, Japan. Nagano is similar to the Swiss Alps, isn't it? Maybe that's the reason why this place has become one of the most visited tourist attractions. As you can see, Nagano has beautiful scenery and ski resorts for skiing.

Nagano has the most ski resorts in Japan. In addition to ski resorts in Nagano, there are also many inns and food sold in Nagano, which is typical Japanese food. So for foreign tourists, Nagano is a must-visit destination when you go to Japan.

Where I live, there is a very magnificent synagogue. It is the Great H Achmad Bakrie mosque which is located in Kisaran, North Sumatra. As the name implies, this Grand Mosque is very large and can accommodate 5 thousand worshipers. Interestingly, this Grand Mosque stands next to the Town Square and Forest so it can become a tourist spot as well.

A Brief History of the Great Mosque of H. Achmad Bakrie

Great Mosque H, Achmad Bakrie was built on a land area of 20 hectares. From what I read, here 4.4 hectares of land is used for buildings the mosque while the rest is used as a religious park and Islamic Education Center in Kisaran. This mosque was built by Aburizal Bakrie, therefore the name was adapted from the name of his father, Ahmad Bakrie.

The construction of the Grand Mosque was carried out from 2011 to 2015. For 4 years, the construction was only centered on the mosque building. Only after that, the development of the surrounding area was carried out. The climax, on August 30, 2019 this mosque was inaugurated by the Regent of Asahan and Aburizal Bakrie.

This mosque was built with 3 floors. The first floor is used as a place for ablution and is also used as an office for mosque administrators. The 2nd and 3rd floors are used as a place for worship.

For the architecture of the Grand Mosque, it is the same as other mosques which have a rectangular shape with one dome and 4 towers that stand firmly on the four corners. The color of the mosque is dominated by white and golden yellow with green accents on the windows. Apparently the colors have a meaning, namely, the mosque as a clean place but also a medium of a victorious and decent livelihood.

Religious Tourist Places

Since its inauguration, this Grand Mosque has not only become the largest house of worship in Kisaran but also a tourist spot for the surrounding community.
