Each episode, I'll talk about a different piece of media and why I think more people should give it a look. It could be a movie, TV show, video game, album, or a book . These aren't necessarily the best things out there, but they might be things that are worth checking out if you haven't already. I hope you enjoy and at least give them a shot!

Hi everyone, welcome to the 18th episode of Recomendies! We have our third book-focused episode, and this is a topic I've been looking forward to talking about. Today, I discuss the horror manga icon Junji Ito, author and artist extraordinaire. I give a little bit on his background, a brief definition and history of manga, and visit my middle school Goodreads page. I also discuss my own feelings on the horror genre and why it seems so interesting to me. Hi everyone! Welcome to episode 17 of Recomendies. Today, we did something a little different. No Wikis were visited and no critic or audience receptions were researched. Instead, I and my brother Matt decided to list some of our top 5 video games of all time and go into why they are our favorites. This is a beefy one, but I think the conversation more than makes up for the length. We talk about everything from big budget superhero games to smaller projects that delve into the meaning of art and the relationship between creator and consumer. Who knows, maybe we'll suggest you one of YOUR top five games!

Today, we take a look at Geowizard, a channel featuring gaming, mischief, adventure, good music, and just overall cozy vibes. We'll discuss what the channel is, why I like it so much, and why I think you should to. Tom Davies really is a wizard when it comes to geography, and it turns out he's pretty darn good at the whole Youtube thing too.
Hi everyone, welcome to the 14th episode of Recomendies! Today, we take a look at the pulse-pounding, adrenaline fueled thrill ride that is Good Time, directed by the always fantastic Safdie Brothers. Join me to learn more about the Safdie brothers' past and future projects, as well as looking at Robert Pattinson's career arc as an actor so far. We also visit an old nemesis, Rex Reed, and discuss why he seems to dislike the films that I really like. Finally, the episode wraps up with a comparison of Connie, the protagonist in Good Time to John Wick, the protagonist in John Wick. In the words of that one guy in Wreck-It Ralph, "Just because you are a bad guy, does not mean you are bad guy." Spoilers: Connie is definitely a bad guy. Join me and myself as we discuss the Netflix crime mockumentary series, American Vandal. If you're interested in true crime but find the subject matter of murder and kidnapping too depressing, American Vandal might just be perfect for you. Follow two high schoolers as they answer the questions on everybody's mind: Who drew the dicks? I also discuss the decisions behind cancelling shows, as we all know how frustrating that can be. I am joined today once again by Ben Schuster, as we tackle perhaps one of the most infamous bands in American history: the Grateful Dead. We discuss the origins of the band, their infamous fanbase, and the impact they've had on each of our own lives. Welcome to the eleventh episode of Recomendies! I finally got around to doing another music one, and this topic is one of my favorites. It's late March, the weather is weird, and baseball season is on the horizon; in other words, it's the perfect time for a holiday music episode! Join me as I discuss the album A Charlie Brown Christmas by The Vince Guaraldi Trio. This album is the soundtrack to the 1965 television special of the same name, and the music has stuck with me ever since I watched it as a wee lad. I'll discuss Vince Guaraldi's origins in music, how he came to do the music for the Charlie Brown animated specials, and finally go track by track to give you a little sample of each tune, as well as my own thoughts on the work. For our first bi-numeral episode, I decided to talk about the fantastic series Fleabag, starring the incredibly talented Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Beloved by critics and audiences alike, Fleabag is one of those shows that, despite its short runtime, stays with you long after you've watched it. It will make you laugh, cringe, cry, and smile, all within the span of about 25 minutes per episode. Join me and my good friend Alex Walkon as we discuss the 2016 Shane Black film, The Nice Guys. The thought train certainly got off its tracks a couple of times in this one, but I think it led to some insightful (in my mind) discourse about people being able to enjoy what they like no matter what the critics might say. I really loved talking about this show, and it solidified itself as one of my favorites back when I was a wee lad in the early days of middle school. It's really funny, has interesting plot lines, and above all, has a bangin' theme song. Welcome to the sixth episode of Recomendies! We've finally gotten to a movie, and this one's a real treat. Joining me is my longtime friend and few-time bar trivia partner, Ben Schuster! We discuss Wes Anderson's 2009 film, Fantastic Mr. Fox, which is based on the children's book of the same name by Roald Dahl. We truly do live, laugh, and love in this episode, as we discuss everything from the medium of animation to an IMDB user's bitter and disconsolate opinion of Fantastic Mr. Fox. Hi everyone, welcome to the fourth episode of Recomendies! We're back to a solo episode, so this one's a little shorter. It's the first TV show episode, and I think we started off with a pretty good one; HBO's Chernobyl. I talk (to the best of my ability) about the real life event that the show depicts, as well as what I think makes the show great. Some parts of the episode get a little science-y, so maybe you'll even learn a thing or two! Or maybe not, who knows. Anyways, I hop you enjoy! Welcome to episode three of Recomendies! We have another guest, and folks, this one's a doozy. Jazz guitarist extraordinaire and all-around wonderful person Luke Sittard joins the show to talk about The Night Game, a rock/alternative album by the band, The Night Game. It's a first music episode, and boy, did the conversation ever flow. Luke and I discuss everything from John Mayer, his own musical journey, and some weirdly visceral reviews of the album. We go track by track, giving our thoughts on each song and giving you, the listener, just a little taste. Welcome to the second episode of Recomendies, our first episode with a guest! I talk with one of my older brothers, Matthew Peters, about a video game we both hold in very high regard: Firewatch. We discuss everything from the striking visual style of the game, the amazing performances by the two leads, and our thoughts on video games and gaming as a whole.
