The trial, which was conducted over five years, studied the effects of Wegovy, a weight loss drug, on adults with heart disease and obesity. The results were remarkable, as the drug notably cut the risk of heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems by 20%. However, there were more GI side effects for the people that used Wegovy, which caused them to stop the medicine.
