Jesus gave many lessons but truly two great commandments.. “Love the Lord your God with all your soul, mind, and strength.” The first of the 10 commandments went along with this “You shall have no other Gods.” This story is of a woman who let another God get in the way, her phone. This story tells how she beat it and truly put God first.
We’ve all had trials with in life, all of us! There are seasons of great times, seasons that may be boring, and then seasons you just can’t catch a break. Let’s talk about the military. Do you ever see a person in uniform and walk on by like it’s nothing? I know I do but God is teaching me how to acknowledge others, especially those who put their lives on the line for you and me. What about Jesus? Do we forget what He did for all of us as we continue our busy lives? Again, I am guilty of this at times. I’ve included two true stories of people that have families or seen first hand what these people do for us.

Lord, I pray for everyone listening and the struggles they are going through as they deal with the loss of their loved ones. Please be with them. Please feel their hearts with your love and peace. I pray that even though the holiday season can be a hard time I ask that you help them to keep their loved one’s memory alive. We love you and ask this in Jesus name -Amen!

This story is what the first Christmas is. It story is told through the eyes of a 8-year-old. Not only is this her version of the story she also narrated the story.
Rejection is a difficult thing to reason with. Even rejection as a young child can have troubling effects on us as adults. I know that God puts people in our lives for a reason, season, or life. He intentionally will need some of these relationships to end to grow you as a person and to further your relationship with Him (even though it may hurt). You may not see the reason as you are hurting, but you will in the future. It’s OK to feel the pain because it hurts, and you need to grieve the loss. Now, to take the topic back to Jesus. He was literally rejected by His own people. Not only that but His disciples scattered and left Him. The people that promised to be there for Him, LEFT HIM while He was being mocked, physically abused, and even suffering a painful death. He was abandoned and reflected by His most loved friends. He knows what you are going through and He will be there for you. This terrible thing was all done for the love of us sinful humans. Literally, this leaves me in tears knowing that He suffered, but He did it for you and me! “He was despised and reflected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.” - Isaiah 53:3
If you are a praying person, you have seen prayer work. The Power of Prayer is vital to get through this world and God WANTS a relationship with you. He is a good father and loves you so much! “If you have any kind of trouble in your mind, give it to God. God has promised to take care of you.” -1 Peter 5:7
It seems that angels have appeared to others since the beginning of time. Hebrews 13:2 states: “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers l, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” Here is just one story in which they believe they encountered an angel that saved their lives.
