And it’s the band we’re covering today for our final Simply THE FEST episode as part of our marathon.
We state it in the intro, and we state it on the show - our guest this week is fitting because they’re in the same band as our very first guest on our show, so we’re very excited to have BRIAN KOMATZ or PLASTIC FLAMINGOS here with us this week.

Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. Though the band has been through several line-up changes over the years, the current touring member are vocalist Bruce Dickinson, drummer Nick McBrain, and guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Janice Gers. Through the many years, with many awards and sales, Iron Maiden have become one of the most influential and revered bands of all time.
Which begs the questions on everyone’s minds: Why are they called that? What do they have to do with lingerie? Why is Sharon Osbourne a raging lunatic?
The answers…are not very surprising and will be explained pretty thoroughly.
