Philippians 4:9, tells us, "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
In this episode we look at how there’s an abundance of teachers in the Church today but also a severe lack of spiritual fathers. This isn’t unique to our own time, Paul warned the early Church of the same issue. We look at what separates teachers from fathers and see why it’s so important and necessary that we ask God to raise up spiritual fathers in our lives and in the Church and thank Him for the ones we already have in our lives!
In this episode, we look at the vision that Obadiah had concerning Edom. It's easy to pass right by Obahdiah because it's such a short book but it's packed with amazing verses that both shed light on the history of God's people and on our lives today. We trace the history of Edom back to see what led up to them appearing in Obadiah's vision, we see what set the course that they'd later walk and then we find how they were acting in the vision, how they willingly and brazenly came against God's people and went out of their way to oppose them. Then we trace them forward to see how their history progressed. We look at how the enemy influenced them and how that same pride that they indulged in, plagues many people today. We need to avoid the pitfalls that Edom fell into and instead humble ourselves before the Lord, trusting God to go before us and give us the victory!
In this episode we look at the account of Paul getting bit by the poisonous serpent while shipwrecked on the island of Melita. We look at how it happened and what the initial reaction of the natives were. We see how we see the same reaction from people in the world today. We then see how Paul's survival and his power over the serpent shows us the power that we have over the enemy and his attacks. It shows us the power of the Gospel to overcome all opposition in this world. We then look more closely at just what our power over the serpent means for us today and how God preserved Paul that day for a reason. He was going to go on and accomplish important and amazing things for the Kingdom and God is preserving us today for the great things He has ahead for us!
In this episode we look at the very first mention of love in the Bible and we see how that foundation set the tone for how love would be understood throughout scripture. We see the love of God on full display on Calvary and we see how God’s love influences our lives. We also look at His command for us to live in love and the even more difficult command to love our enemies. As we live in love we point the world around us to the God we serve, the God who is love!
In this episode we look at the prayer of Jabez buried deep within a long genaeology and see why it matters for us today. We look at the context in which he prayed and in which people would be reading his prayer. We also look at how it points us to God’s success principle. We then look at the prayer itself and go through the four elements of it. We see how he desired to be blessed, how he desired God to enlarge his coast, how he wanted God’s hand to be upon him and how he desired God to keep him from evil. If God did that for Jabez, He can and will do the same for us today! We’re called to be the Jabez of our generation!
In this episode we look at how the Lord often chooses to operate in a sudden fashion. We look at why He chooses to do this and what exactly it looks like throughout scripture. We also look at what exactly leads up to these incredible moments and what sets the stage and lays the ground work for these sudden works of the Lord to spring forth and manifest in the natural. We then look at how we can experience these same sudden, miraculous, incredible moves of God, where He demonstrates His power, His love and His strength in new and amazing ways, in our lives today. We look at what exactly we need to do to be able to receive from Him and be in the right state of mind and right posture of heart to enjoy what God has prepared for us as His people. He's still the God of suddenly and He can suddenly move in your life today!
In this episode we look at how we're told that the government shall be upon the Lord's shoulders. We look at what exactly His government looks like. We see how it's constructed, what and who constitutes it and how it operates. We also look at why it's upon His shoulders specifically and what significance that has in the overall plan of God all throughout scripture. We look at how He places us upon His shoulder and carries us and how we have an important, central role to play inside His government. We're called and chosen to govern under the authority of God as He governs us!
In this episode we look at the experience of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. We look at what was actually happening there during this supernatural battle between the Lord and the enemy and how everything that happened to Christ there happened for us. We look at how He was crushed in fulfillment of prophecy and how He now, through us, crushes the serpent every single day until the last day when He’ll crush him once and for all!
In this episode we look one of the greatest and most important callings we've received as the people of God. We look at how Jesus calls us to do greater works. We look at what exactly this means for us and how we can go about accomplishing this mission. We look at the importance of surrendering to the Holy Spirit, putting our faith and trust in God and the importance of acting on the Word of God. As we walk in faith and strive to answer this calling, we'll be amazed at what the Lord does through us and how He allows the greater works we do to point the people around us towards Himself, drawing them unto Himself. Let's go out into the fields of harvest and do the greater works Jesus says we can do!
In this episode we look at the history of angels and how they interact with mankind throughout the scripture. We see how God placed them outside the Garden of Eden after man had been expelled and then how we find them also featured prominently on the ark of the covenant and on the curtain that separated the inner court from the Holy of Holies. Then we look at what the role of angels are today. We explore if we have guardian angels and if we should interact with angels or not. We also look at what role they have in our life and walk with God and how we can work with them to further the will and work of God in our lives!
In this episode of the Kingsword Bible Study, we look at the connection between the two birds that Noah sent out of the ark and the two birds that we're told of in the Levitical Law when told of the process of pronouncing a leper cleansed. We look at what both of these instances teach us about ourselves and why God used these birds specifically to communicate this lesson to His people. We look at how they teach us about the battle we daily fight between our old and new natures and about our position as cleansed by the blood of Christ and set free in Him!
In this episode we look at one of the most famous promises of God in all of scripture, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We look at how incredible this assurance is and also how it's so often misunderstood. We look at the deeper meaning hidden beneath it to see what it means for us in our spiritual warfare. We look at how this verse tells us about the plans and devices of the enemy, how he intentionally forms and uses his weapons against us trying to steal from us, kill us and destroy our relationship with God. We look at how God has entrusted us with armor and instruments for our warfare so that far from falling prey to the enemy, we'll have the victory over him. The devil's weapons will always fail, but our's will always prosper!
In this episode we look at how we face an adversary who goes about as a roaring lion seeking people to destroy and how many Christians make the same mistake as the man in Proverbs did. They use the presence of the lion to keep them from doing what they’re called to do. We have to see the lion in the way and know that we can take him on because we have the lion of Judah dwelling within us! We look at how we fight our spiritual warfare against the lion and how we get the victory!
In this episode we look at the importance of honoring the Sabbath. We explore why the Sabbath, although codified in the Levitical Law is not only relevant but necessary for our lives today. We look at how we can honor the Sabbath in the greatest ways and the amazing benefits that we’ll enjoy by following the Lord’s command to not only take a day of rest but most importantly set aside a specific day for Him!
In this episode we look at what Solomon tells us about the little foxes, how they spoil and ruin the vineyard. We look at how that natural principle applies also to the supernatural and how little sins that we may be tempted to write off are actually very effective and potent tools of the enemy to try to ruin and spoil our hope, our future and our walk with God. Those little things will soon become big things if we’re not careful which is why we need to vigilantly guard our minds and our hearts and strive to submit ourselves to the Spirit and live in accordance with His will for us!
In this episode we look at the importance of our confession, what we speak. We look at how Zachariah confessed doubt when the angel Gabriel spoke to him and we look at the unique punishment that God brought upon him because of that. We often make the same mistake but we look at how we can overcome this mistake and instead confess our faith and speak words of life, of power and authority to best prepare us for when the answer from God does manifest in our lives!
In this episode we look at what the proper environment for mankind really is. We look at how God’s account and God’s means of the creating of man reveals what environment is the most conducive to our flourishing. We were created to live in the presence of God, abiding in Him. We need to embrace this environment first by being born again and then living in the freedom Christ secured for us in a way that honors and glorifies the Lord!
In this episode we look at a prophecy given of Amos, in which we find hidden the mission of Christ. We look at how God makes a ‘stairway to Heaven’ meaning a way for us to be with Him where He is and how He came down to the earth for the purpose of obtaining children unto Himself, adopting us into His family. God created us for fellowship and communion and when we ascend Him the ladder, we enjoy eternity with Him!
In this episode we look at the prophecy given in Revelation of the scroll of redemption which was bound in seven seals. They searched for someone worthy to open it but found no one above the earth, in the earth or under the earth who could do so, until Jesus the Lion of Judah opened it. We look at what this means for us, the prophecy we find of this in an unlikely place in the book of Judges and we look at the importance this scroll especially has as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ during Easter this year!
In this episode we look at the situation that the children of Israel found themselves in, in the face of Haman in Persia who was seeking to destroy them and how that incident can be traced back to the disobedience of King Saul centuries earlier. We also look at how the modern day conflict in Iran ties in with these accounts of Persia and also with Jeremiah’s prophecy of the breaking of the bow of Elam. We then look at the importance of the supernatural warfare going on behind the scenes with the Prince of Persia and how it’s manifesting in the natural right before our eyes!
In this episode we look at the first battle and the first enemy that the children of Israel faced after their exodus from Egypt. We look at the brutality and cruelty of the Amalekites and how they did a surprise attack from behind against them. We look at what we can learn from this for our spiritual warfare today and how we find in God’s unique commands to Moses and Joshua the way to overcome the enemy today in our battles. God has given us the way to get the victory if we would only follow His lead!
In this episode we look at the Psalmists declaration that those who will be in the holy hill and the holy place of the Lord will be those with clean hands and pure hearts. We look at what it means exactly to have these things and who exactly these people are. We look at how we fit the description when we have Jesus dwelling within us. The Psalmist singles out two groups sinners and double-minded, we look at the divide that sin and double-mindedness create between us and God and how Jesus came to restore us to the position God has for us in Him. Once we surrender to Christ and allow Him to change and transform our lives, He'll prepare and enable us to be with Him, in His holy hill, His holy place for all of eternity!
In this episode we look at the importance of the dominion mandate that the Lord has given us. We look at the sealed deed, and how we know we have it and what exactly the seal is. We look at the open deed and how we live in light of the fact Jesus secured it for us. We also look at how we hold on to our dominion refusing to cede any ground to the enemy as we strive to advance the Kingdom of God!
In this episode we look at the history of the dominion that God entrusted with Adam and Eve and how that dominion was soon foolishly transferred to the enemy. We then look at how he twisted and distorted that dominion to use it against God’s people. We then turn to the redemptive mission of Christ, seeing how on the cross He got our dominion back once and for all and now in Him we have the right to operate in again, with both types of deeds, the sealed and the open!
In this episode we look at how Malachi prophesied of the coming Messiah, the Sun of Righteousness who would have healing in His wings. We look at what this prophecy actually means and how it was perfectly fulfilled in Jesus. We also look at the unique connection that this has both with the Levitical Law and the woman with the issue of blood. We look at what this teaches us about faith, what it teaches us about reaching out to God and what it teaches us about God, Himself!
In this episode we look at how the Lord has adopted us into His family. When we’re born again and give our lives to Christ, in covenant with Him, He brings us into His family, treating us not as a stranger but as a beloved child. We look at what it means to have the Spirit of adoption both working upon us and within us and how our new legal status should influence the way that we live our lives. We should make every effort to let the spiritually fatherless world all around us know that they have a loving Father who gave His all so they could have a spiritual home forever!
In this episode we look at the promises that God made to the heroes of faith and how very often they didn’t get to see the promise fulfilled in their lifetime. We then look at Moses and see how there were two things that God didn’t allow him to do on this earth that He did enable Him to see and receive in eternity. We look at what this tells us about God’s faithfulness and His character. We also look at what it means for our life, our walk of faith and the promises we’ve received from the Lord!
In this episode we look at what happens when it seems like God is silent. We've all gone through seasons in our life where it feels like no matter how much or how hard we pray, God isn't hearing or isn't answering. We know that's not true, however. We know God always hears and answers, just not always in the way or at the time that we'd like. We look at how we can use the silent season to prepare and increase in wisdom so that we can be ready for the manifestation of our answered prayers. We also look at how the silent seasons can bring honor and glory to God!

We then look at how His peace affects our walking in purpose and how it enables us to be faithful to the calling God has placed upon our lives!

In this episode we look at the miracle after Jesus’ resurrection where the disciples caught 153 fish. We first look at the reason He met them on the water that day and how it parallels the first day He called them to be His disciples. We then look at why He gave them 153 fish specifically and what we can learn from that for our own lives and walk of faith!
In this episode we look at why the Lord tells us to work out our own salvation. We look at how a misunderstanding of the miracle of salvation often leads people to misconstrue this verse. We look at what it actually is calling us to do and how the Lord works with us to accomplish this calling through the in-working of His Holy Spirit. Make the choice today to partner with God and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling!
In this episode, we look at how God severed the Israelites from other nations and the idols of those nations. He does the same for His people today. Sometimes He severs us from other people that we're around. He does this when a relationship or friendship is holding us back from going deeper with Him. We look at how this happens and what role we have to play in the process of the severing. We also look at the call the Lord has given us to be holy because He is holy. He severs us so that we can be a people set apart specifically for Him who live holy lives that honor and glorify Him. As we enter this next year we need the Lord to sever from us what we shouldn't bring with us and allow Him to free us!
In this episode we look at the prophecy that Simeon spoke over Jesus days after He was born. We break down the different parts of the prophecy to see both what they mean and how they were fulfilled in the life and mission of Christ. We also look at what his prophecy means for us today and how it effects our walk with Christ as we both strive to be disciples of Christ and celebrate Christmas this year!
In this episode we look at the calling that we’ve all received to be fishers of men. We look at what this calling means for our spreading of the Gospel. We also look at what we can learn from fishing in the natural world and how we can apply those lessons in our spiritual fishing. We have to be aware of how we bait the hook, when we do our fishing and what season we’re in. It’s our job to launch out in the fish and do it skillfully and with wisdom!
In this episode we look at the need to prepare for the next revival that God is going to send upon His people. We look at the different ways we can ready ourselves for what’s coming. We look at how we need to continue to sow the Word of God to our hearts, continue to break up the fallow ground of our hardened hearts and continue seeking the Lord. When we prepare ourselves, we open ourselves up to be used by God in an even greater and more powerful way than we could ever imagine!

We look at what’s led to the Church finding itself in the current position of drought and what we can do to get out of it. We look at what Elijah did and what we can learn from him. It’s important that we pray, give and destroy our idols. Revival is coming and it’s necessary that we prepare ourselves to be able to reap in the fields of harvest!
In this episode of the Kingsword Bible Study we look at God's role as our Father throughout history. We look at how little emphasis was placed upon his role as Father in the Old Testament and how Jesus came to restore us to the sonship that Adam forfeited in the garden and restore our relationship with our Father. As we come before Him in prayer we should acknowledge His role as Father. He desires to be more than just your God, than Savior, than Lord, He desires to be your Father!
In this episode, we look at the conscience. We look at what scripture tells us about the six different states of the conscience. We look at a good, defiled, weak, evil, seared, and pure and clear conscience. We look at how we get into each state, how we know if we’re in that state and what we can do about it so that we can have a good, cleansed conscience before God!

We look at how we need to allow the Holy Spirit to use our moments of repentance to lead us into greater things as we’re to not only turn from sin but hate sin and zealously pursue what’s good and righteous! We look at the course of her life and her origins to see what lessons we can take from her and the conversion she underwent when she encountered Christ down by the river while praying. We look at how her story reflects her own and how the same change that took place in our heart needs to be in evidence in our life too. We look at how being born again reflects our natural birth. We then look at the wind and how it's symbolic of the way of God and of the redeemed believer. We also look at how the wind itself testifies to irrefutable evidence that our God is real and active in this world! When we look at Lydia's life we see our own story!

We also look at how Isaiah handled being in the presence of a perfectly holy God. Through seeing his reaction we can learn what we need to do ourselves!

In this episode, we look at how we've each been given a spiritual garment that we wear throughout this life and how through sin and embracing carnality we've soiled and spotted this garment. The religious elite have told us that we have to try to patch this garment up through our own effort and we have to try to make it appear outwardly better by our own doing but that's not what God tells us. We look throughout scripture to see that Jesus offers us a brand new garment, one washed clean by His blood, one that will cover all our sins and make it like they never even happened. Only Jesus can give us this new garment and when we come to Him and lay our filthy rags before Him, He'll give us a new robe that's white as snow!
In this episode we look at why we’re commanded to flee from lust and what fleeing looks like for us on the practical level. Contrary to the world will tell you fleeing isn’t cowardly, it’s wise. We’re not just running aimlessly, we’re running towards something, we’re running towards God. We look at the protection and safety we find in Him and why He’s the only means of escape that can save us from the enemy and from ourselves!
In this episode we build on what we spoke about last week, us being the temple of God, seeing that we’re also called to be priests of the temple. We look at what fulfilling that role looks like in practice. We have to guard the temple, tend to it, offer up worship and sacrifices. There are many roles that we’re called to operate in and we have a responsibility to understand them and walk in them!
In this episode we look at how we’re the temple of God. We look at how the way God designed us reveals that we’re modeled after His holy temple. We look at how body, soul and spirit each reflect the different parts of the temple and the significance that each of them have for us today. We also look at what being the temple of God means for us today and how we can live and walk in that calling every day!
In this episode, we look at the desperation Rachel experienced because of her deep desire to have a child and her inability to conceive. Already having a rivalry with her sister, she watched with sorrow as her sister Leah gave her husband child after child while Rachel gave him none. We look at what this desperation teaches us, how we see similar sorrow with Hannah but different reactions and how we should follow Hannah’s lead and heed the warning of what we see Rachel do wrong.
In this episode we look at the bitter waters of Marah that the Israelites came across after they’d come out of Egypt and were in the wilderness. We look at the significance of the waters being bitter and how it was a life of death situation that they found themselves in. We also look at how Moses cast the tree into the water, foreshadowing, the cross the waters were healed. When we put the cross into the midst of our bitterness, our bitterness can be healed too and made sweet!
In this episode, we look at what happened when Elijah's servant lost his borrowed ax head in the river. After telling Elisha what happened, he cast in a tree, and the axe had came to the surface and swam. The tree is foreshadowing the Cross, the tree upon which Christ was hanged. When you cast in the tree into your life, God can make what you feel is lost in your life, come back to the surface. It's as we leave our desires and hopes at the Cross, entrusting them with Him, we can trust Him to restore what's been lost and heal what's been broken!
In this episode we look at the similarities between Abraham nearly sacrificing Isaac and the sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary. We go step by step through the accounts to see how Isaac foreshadowed Christ and we look at how God kept His promise made from the earliest days of world history to provide a sacrificial lamb for us. Then we look at what our role is and how we need to accept the sacrifice that He made on our behalf!
In this episode, we look at the power of singing. We look at what exactly gives singing the unique power that it has in the spiritual realm. We look how it can bring people together, how it can draw people to Christ, how it can drive out evil spirits and how it can bring the victory in your life. We look at how it specifically comes against the devil in his own domain, making our spiritual warfare far more targeted and effective. Don’t hold yourself back, cry aloud and spare not. Sing before the Lord and pour out your heart to Him in song!
In this episode, we look at the creative power our words have, how we can use them to speak things into existence. We also look at how speaking perverse, corrupt and negative words that we speak can create a breach in the spirit. We look at what that means exactly and how it happens so we can know what we’re dealing with. Then we look at how we can close the breach!
In this episode we look at the riot that happened amongst the silversmiths in the city of Ephesus. We look at the preaching of Paul and the revival that led up to the riot and what came of it. We also look at the unique ways that the gospel was attacking the systems and structures of the city and how our preaching of the gospel, no matter what form that may take, needs to pose the same threefold threat to the enemy and his plans!
In this episode, we look at how Jesus walked on the water while the disciples were in the midst of a storm and how He was calling Peter to push past the fear he felt in the natural and take the first step of faith out of the boat. We look at why exactly it was that when He looked at Jesus he was fine and when he looked at the storm he began to sink. God’s calling you today to do the impossible and take a step of faith and walk with Jesus through the storm!
In this episode we look at what meekness truly is and why the misunderstanding of it has greatly hindered and harmed the modern church. We look at how meekness is used by God to expertly train us for the spiritual war that we’re daily engaged in. We look at Moses and Jesus and see what we can learn from the meekness they showed forth in their life. Meekness is a fruit of the Spirit and we’ll find if we cultivate it properly, it’ll bring with it peace and joy into our life!
In this episode we look at the need to not only bear fruit but to allow ourselves to be purged, pruned and cleansed by the Lord so that we can go on to bear even more fruit for the Lord. We look at what it means to be pruned, how that happens and the difference that it makes in our lives and in our walk of faith. We need to let the Lord do what only He can do!
In this episode we look at what it truly means to be a sheep in the Lord’s pasture. We look at the different qualities that make sheep unique and how they reflect our nature and our walk of faith. Today we have the good shepherd and as we follow His lead, He leads us into greener pastures, into His pasture, which is exactly where we need to be. Being His sheep is no demeaning or degrading role, it’s an important role that shows how much He values us and that we belong to Him!
In this episode we look at how Jehoshabeath saved Joash when Athalia was attempting to kill all the royal seed. We look at how her one act of faithfulness changed all of history and how it relates to our calling to be the salt of the earth, especially as it relates to our call to preserve. We’re to preserve the situations we find ourselves in and hold the line of faith, that’s part of how we stand in the gap just like she did.
In this episode we look at the importance of realigning our attitude to the Word of God when we’ve found that it’s strayed too far and we’re murmuring and disputing. We look at how we can bring this realignment about, changing our way of thinking, speaking and acting. We also look at the difference it makes when we do and how it strengthens not only our character but more importantly our witness for Jesus!
In this episode we look at the curse that was given at the fall of man and how it’s defined by lack, scarcity and separation. We then go through scripture to show how Jesus came to lift the curse and restore the abundance that man lost in the garden. The devil tries to get us to look at what we don’t have, focusing on the lack but we can tap into God’s abundance if we make the decision to do so. We have to decide and we look at what that really entails and the difference it’ll make.
In this episode, we look at the fall of Eutychus from the third story window at midnight while the church was gathered listening to Paul preach. We see how his fall parallels the five foolish virgins and how it parallels the modern church of today. We look at the lessons and warnings we can take from his fall so that we can prevent ourselves and the church from falling like he did. We’re called to be alert as we watch and pray, preparing for the Master’s return!
In this episode, we look at the folded napkin, head wrap, that Jesus left folded in the tomb after He was resurrected. We look at the incredible significance of this seemingly little easily overlooked detail. We then look at how the folded napkin calls for us to get prepared and be ready for the second coming of Christ. We look at the importance of the Word of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our preparation and we look at how we can not only get ready but stay ready!
In this episode we look at why God chose a donkey when Jesus was preparing to enter the city of Jerusalem. We look at what a donkey would mean to those living in that culture and day. We also look at how the donkey fulfilled the prophecy given by Zechariah. We then look through the different reasons that God chose that donkey specifically and what we can learn from those reasons. If Solomon says we can learn from ants and Jesus tells us to learn from the birds, we should be willing to learn from a donkey too, and we have a lot to learn from this one. We're called to embrace our mission and be faithful in the fulfilling in it, just like this donkey. We'll be trained by the Holy Spirit, loosed by Him and led by Him to exactly where He desires for us to be!
In this episode, we look at how we walk worthy of our calling. We first look at what it truly means to walk worthy of our calling and what parts of our life are going to have to be built up for us to do so. We then look at what different elements Paul gives us for walking worthily. First we look at humility, then we look at meekness, then long-suffering, then forbearing one another in love and lastly staying united in the Spirit, keeping the bond of peace. God gives us everything we need to be able to walk worthy of the calling, we simply need to take Him at His Word and act in faith!
In this episode, we look at the ways in which we’re all called to minister. Many think if they don’t have a specific title or position then they’re not a minister but that’s not true. We all are. There’s so many ways we can be a blessing to those who need help. We can comfort, encourage, teach, pray for others and so much more. God is our Helper, He’s an ever present help in our time of need and it’s our responsibility to reflect His help to those around us who need it. Let’s start walking in our ministry today!
In this episode, we look at the importance of rest. We look at how the Lord told His disciples to come apart and rest. We look at why we resist the need to rest so often. The Lord knew the disciples needed rest after what they'd been through and He knows that we need rest too, which is why He established rest as part of His will. We look at how we can get past the fear of not being productive enough and how resting in Jesus actually makes us more productive when we yoke ourselves together with Him. We then look at the dangers of yoking ourselves to the wrong people, the wrong entities and wrong ideologies. We go throughout scripture to see the pattern of rest and Sabbath that God established and how we have a responsibility to follow His command to rest in Him and yoke ourselves to Him in our work.
In this episode, we look at how we can deal with and process the bad times we go through in life. We look at why we have times of sorrow and what we can do with that sorrow so that we become stronger. We look at the need to not give up even though the temptation to do so is strong. We have to keep our hope in Jesus and as we do we’ll be able to go to the God who specializes in exchange to take our sorrow away and give us joy u speakable and full of glory in its place!
In this episode, we look at when the Lord called Moses. We look at what the Lord asked him, What is that in your hand? He was asking him what He had right then, in the present moment. We analyze the connection that that has to today and how the Lord is asking us the same thing today in respect to our calling. We also look at why the Lord asked him about his rod specifically and the significance that his rod had. We then look at what he did with the rod and why God did with it. God wants to use us to do extraordinary things for Him if only we’ll surrender and make the decision to walk worthy of our calling!
In this episode we look at when the early church was praying for the release of Peter from prison. We see how they did the right thing in praying and in doing so continually and with urgency but then we see how although they were in the same place physically they weren’t all together in spirit and in faith. There was division and that division led to them not believing the answer when Rhoda announced it to them. They even called her crazy. We see how God worked amongst them and how in the end they were all unified together by the Spirit of God.
In this episode, we look at when the disciples asked the Lord to increase their faith. We look at why so many times it feels like our faith simply isn’t enough. We look at how the problem isn’t that we need more faith but that we need to use our faith. Faith is like a muscle, the more you use and exercise it, pushing it past its limits, the stronger it grows. We look at the difference having increased faith makes in both our life and in the church and why it’s so important that we trust God, take Him at His Word and take the leap of faith!
In this episode, we look at the man sitting by the pool of Bethesda waiting for the waters to be troubled. He’d been sick for 38 years. He was paralyzed and unable to move. We see how he was putting his faith in man and man’s ability to get him into the waters rather than putting his faith in God for his healing. We look at how many times people don’t want to be healed and we analyze why exactly that is. We also look at how the man answered Jesus’ question with an evasive answer, not really answering it and we look at what that reveals about him. God wants to heal us in every area of life, no matter what’s afflicting us but we have to be willing to receive His healing work in our life and we have to give Him the glory for it.
In this episode we look at the account of the pool of Bethesda. We look at the area it was in and the name of the pool itself and how there’s a special significance in the place of the pool itself. We also look at how the angel would go down at certain seasons and trouble the water, healing the first one that would step into the water. We look at what it meant that the waters were troubled and we look at what season the angel was coming down during. Today it’s our season of grace and it’s our chance to take the leap of faith and step out into the unknown, trusting God and putting our faith completely in Him.
In this episode, we look at what the Lord tells us about the restoration of His house through the prophet Haggai. First we look at the danger of dwelling on the past. Then we look at how the Lord was commanding those in the government, the church and the land to be strong and do the work of the Lord. Then we look at His promise that His Spirit, even though the church had been lying in waste, still remained with them. We then look at the shaking of the nations and the need of that same shaking from God in the church and we finish by looking at God’s promise to fill His house with glory and make it a place for His people to find peace! God will use us to see this restoration through and behold His house filled with glory again!
In this episode we look at how in the days of the prophet Haggai the house of God was lying waste while everyone was worried about their own homes, their own substance and their own prosperity. We look at what the Lord teaches us in the prophet’s warning and the similarities that we find happening in the Church today. We also look at how we can fix the problem and see God powerfully restore His house as we, His people, put Him and His house first before ourselves and our own houses. We have to reach out in faith believing God to restore His house to it’s former glory!

We see the difference that coming before it fearlessly, confidently and boldly makes in our obtaining of mercy and our finding of grace. We look at how exactly we obtain mercy and what mercy itself is and we look at how we find grace. We then look at when it is we need grace most and the incredible promise we’re given by God to not only help us but help us in the unique way that the Greek words in the verse specify. We can go boldly before the Throne today knowing that God will give us the grace we need, when we need it!

We look at how the curse brought us into a place of scarcity where even access to God’s superabundance of grace was cut off and we look at how God’s hand moved throughout history to free His people from the curse of scarcity and bring us back into His superabundance. We also look at how God’s favor was upon men and women throughout His Word and how that same favor is upon our lives today. In this episode, we look at the importance of God’s governing of our life on an individual level. We also look at how the government is upon His shoulder and why it’s on His shoulder specifically. We also look at what that means in our life. We look at the connection it all has to our burdens and what our calling is once God has lifted our burdens from us. Today we need to let God govern our lives and take our burdens upon His shoulder!
In this episode we look at who our savior, Jesus, is. We go through what Isaiah had to say about the coming Messiah. We break down His prophecy looking at how he said he would be wonderful, counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father and the prince of peace, and see what Jesus operating in each of these roles means for us today. We also look at how He’s Emanuel and how that fact is the foundation upon which all else rests and we look at what it means for our life, our destiny and our relationship with God.
In this episode, we look at the story of the Prodigal Son and how we ourselves have all been the prodigal at some point in our life. We look at the different things he lost when he decided to leave home and how we lose the same things when we decide to walk away from God and the house of God. Then we look at his return and how we can come back home if we’re on the run from God. Our Heavenly Father desperately wants us to return but we have to come to our senses like the prodigal and decide to come back. Then we look at the mistakes the elder brother made and how we can avoid making the same mistakes.
In this episode we look at the importance of being in the spirit, especially when we go to church. We look at John’s experience when he was in the spirit on the Lord’s day and how the things he experienced should be the same things we experience every time we gather together in the house of God. We look at the importance of being filled with the Holy Ghost and the importance of staying filled so that we can walk and live in the Spirit every day and everywhere we go!
In this episode we look at how the Church is in desperate need of having its joy restored. With its joy restored its strength will be restored as well. Once we have joy, even and especially during the hard times of life, we’ll find that, that joy, produces endurance in our life which goes on to produce maturity and experience which leads to hope. We need hope, without it we have absolutely nothing in this life. We look at each step in this cycle and we look at the hope that we have in Jesus and how we can start this cycle in our life and in the Church today! We can find joy and hope again right now!
In this episode, we look at God’s promise of restoration for His people. We look at how He told Israel that He would give them back all the years locusts ate. God is a giver and He always gives with abundance even when restoring. Sometimes this process takes some time and we look at what we’re called to do while we’re waiting for that promise to manifest. We all need restoration and we all have an inheritance of a double portion blessing that God desires to give us if only we’d receive it!

We take an in-depth look at each of these steps, why God put it in the plan, what it is, how he brings it about and what change it brings about in our life. We look at what makes a prayer a prayer of faith and what it is about it that makes it so powerful. All our prayers can and should be prayers of faith. Those are the powerful prayers that get answers and make a real difference! Today we’re called to pray in faith, believing for and receiving what God has for His people!
In this episode, we look at the intercession of the Holy Spirit. We all know well those times when we want to pray, we want to pour out our hearts to God but we just can't find the words, we don't know what to say. It's during those times when we feel helpless that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, on our behalf. He says what we're unable to say, in a way better than we ever could have. He intercedes in perfect accordance with His perfect will, so we can be sure that what's He's praying about will come to pass in His perfect timing. We may not know the specifics of what He's praying for but we know that He is, and that's enough to make us feel the peace and comfort that we can only find in Him. Why be afraid when the Comforter is interceding for us.
In this episode, we look at the exchange of prayer. We look at what prayer actually is. We look at how we commonly understand it and how God defines it in His Word. We serve a God of exchange and prayer is no exception to this. We look at what exactly we exchange during prayer and how we do so. God listens when we pray, He loves to speak with us but we have to be ready and willing to sacrifice as we make the exchange with Him and then we can rest in His promise that He'll take care of it. Prayer is our most important asset which is why it's so important that we understand it and faithfully do it.
In this episode, we look at how in Acts chapter 6, when God was increasing and multiplying the Church, the devil sent his attacks. He caused disruption by dividing the Greek widows against the Hebrew widows. We look at the effect this division had on the church. The leaders could've fallen prey to these same distractions but they didn't, they stayed true. We look at how specifically they did that and why they did it. We have the same callings that those men of God were called to, prayer and the study of the Word of God, we too, when we see the devil dividing the Church, need to stay true and faithful to our callings, knowing that that's where we derive our power from. We look at the conditions that led to the wall of righteousness being broken down and there being gaps in the wall, how the leaders were corrupt and the priests involved in a conspiracy. We need Nehemiah’s in this day and we can be the ones who stand in the gap, pray and make the difference that we’re believing to see!

We look at why true humility looks like in our day to day life and the false counterfeit that the devil tries to offer in its place. In this episode, we look at the evil spirit that came upon Saul when he was trying to kill David. We look at who or what this evil spirit is. We look at how the same evil spirit tried to kill Joseph, Jacob, Mordecai and Daniel, amongst many others throughout history. This is the very evil spirit that attempted and failed to kill Jesus, Himself. We look at how this spirit operates and how we can come against and overcome it. Our God is our protector and we’re safely secure in His hand. With Him we’re ensured the victory!
In this episode, we look at how the Church is designed to grow. We look at how God called man to do the planting and watering but how God is meant to give the increase. True growth is the work of the Lord not man. He draws, attracts and gives men the desire to come to Him. We need to be faithful in doing our jobs so God can do His. In this episode we look at Jesus’ command to never look back. We look at why we shouldn’t look back and what the result is when we do. We also see what exactly it is that we’re looking back to. The fate of Lot’s wife serves as a sufficient warning of the dangers of looking back. We need to keep our eyes looking ahead, going forward with a fixed purpose not allowing the devil to distract us. The prize of the high calling of Christ Jesus is the reward we’ll receive if we push forward and never look back!
In this episode, we look at our Father’s house. We look at how we get into Father’s house. We see that Jesus is the door and we look at how exactly we open the door. We need a key and see what specifically the key is. There are people who don’t want us to have the key, even in the Church. They’re the religious elites, the legalists, the holier-than-thou Christians who don’t use the key themselves and don’t want you to either. They want to force you to find some other way to get into Father’s house but there’s only one way and that way is Jesus! Let’s make the choice today to come home to Father’s house!
In this episode, we look at Mary’s sacrifice of the alabaster box. We look at the significance of the box, what she did with it, and how she used its contents. We look at what this tells us about worshipping through our serving and ministering. Last week we saw Mary worshipping by being with God, now we see her worshipping by doing for God. We look at how we can do the same in our worship in a practical way. We also look at the devices the enemy uses to steal our worship and what we can do to guard ourselves against them. Let’s make the choice today to worship in action!
In this episode, we look at the importance of being with God like Mary who sat at Jesus’ feet listening to Him and adoring Him while her sister Martha was busied and worried by everything going on in the house. We look at how our worship must be rooted in love and how being with Him provides the necessary foundation for our worship to be done in spirit and in truth. We look at the effect of Mary’s worship and the lessons we can learn from her. We also look at how Martha allowed the devil to steal her worship and missed her chance to be with God. Today we need to make the choice to get alone with God and simply be with Him, listening to Him and adoring Him.

We look at the two elements of this type of worship and see how we can integrate both of them into our worship. Worship is one of the most important things for us to do as believers and it’s essential that we have an understanding of how to do it, why we do it and what it does. In this episode, we look at when Isaiah was touched by the coal from off the altar that sits before God. We look at what made that coal significant, what it accomplished and what effect it had on the rest of his life. We then look at how we need to be touched by the coal too. We go throughout scripture to show the difference that the coal and the fire of God that it kindles within us makes in our life. We look at how we get the flame, how we cultivate the flame, and how we spread it to everyone around us through everything we do, as we answer God’s call to scatter the coals over the city!
In this episode we look at how the failure to execute justice speedily emboldens and encourages criminals. We look at how in the absence of punishment they set their sails to do wickedness. We look at the life of Joab and see how he fell prey to this ideology. After he killed Abner and seemingly got off scot-free he was emboldened to then kill Amasa, but eventually it caught up with him and he had to pay for his crimes. We look at why it seems there’s a delay in God’s judgment and why it’s so dangerous for us to embolden and encourage the enemy while we should instead be emboldening and encouraging ourselves and our fellow believers.

We look at why we need to be vulnerable, why so many people won’t be and the difference that it makes in our life. In this episode we look at the Passover Lamb. First we look at the significance of the lamb in the Egyptian culture and what the sacrificing of a lamb by the Israelites would mean to them. We then look at the purpose of the lamb and the foreshadowing of it pointing to Jesus and His redemptive mission. Then we look at the significance of the blood of the lamb and the placement of the blood on the doorposts and lintels of the houses. We study why it was to be on the doorposts exactly and not somewhere else. There’s a lot we can learn from the Passover Lamb and we should make the choice today to show the Lord how much we appreciate and value the blood of the Lamb.
In this episode, we look at the judgment that came upon the Egyptian gods through the ten plagues. We look at how the judgment was not just against Pharaoh but against their idols and really their entire system of mythology. We look at each plague to see which idol it was in judgment of and how that judgment affected the Egyptian people and society. We also look at the separation God made between their people and His people. Lastly we look at what we can learn from this for our own day as it relates to all the idols our culture has set up and worshipped.
In this episode, we look at mourning over sin. We look at what it means to do so and why we should do it. We look at the Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount to see what Jesus said about 'Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.' We look at what exactly this entails and the connection that it has with the feeling of guilt. We look at how people come to feel guilty and how we should respond when we do feel so. In this episode, we look at what happens when we feel overwhelmed. We look at why and how we get to this point, why this line of attack is so successful for the enemy and how we can overcome it. We look at two instances where David was overwhelmed and we learn from him it’s causes and it’s remedy. The key to overcoming overwhelm is worship and the more we worship in spite of the pressure or troubles we face the more peace we’ll have and feel. We can make the choice today to let the Lord lift the burden of overwhelm from us.
In this episode, we look at the Lord’s command to be the salt of the earth. We look at why he would say ‘salt’ specifically. There were a few uses and purposes of salt that stand out as purposes for the Church being on the earth as well. We’re here for a reason, we’re on a mission and the better we understand the purpose of the mission, the easier it will be to faithfully execute it. We also look at what happens when we lose our savor and why that happens. We then look at how we can restore it. Today we need to make the choice to follow the call of God to be the salt of the earth.
In this episode, we look at the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem leading up to His crucifixion. We look at why they were waving palms and singing Hosanna. We look at where the term originated and what the true significance of it was. We also look at the lessons we can learn from it as we apply them to our own lives. There’s a lot of similarities between our lives and what happened on that great and triumphant day and we can all say as believers, ‘Hosanna in the Highest Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord’.
In this episode, we look at Jephthah and his story. We look at his origins and where he came from and how it relates to us and our life. We see how the same things that happened to him are happening again today, including his exile. Maybe it isn’t physical exile, but it’s exile in some form, either emotional, mental, financial or spiritual exile. We look at what we can do during this time and how God can turn it around for our good. Let’s make the choice today to let God take our time of being exiled and use it for our time of being exalted.
In this episode, we look at how the devil sends people amongst God’s people to try to overthrow their faith. We see what his plans and purposes are and how exactly he goes about attempting to overthrow and destroy. We also look at how people, especially Christians allow themselves to get into a position that makes them vulnerable to this type of attack. We also look at the danger that this presents to nonbelievers. We then look at how we can protect ourselves from falling for the lies of the enemy and keep our faith from being overthrown.
In this episode, we look at how we lay up eternal joy and Heavenly treasures. We look at the connection between laying up treasures and happiness and bitterness and see how many make the mistake of laying up things hoping to secure temporal happiness at the expense of eternal joy. We look at the poison of bitterness and how it eats away at our soul, our spirit, our minds and our hearts. We look at how we can root bitterness out of our life and receive the joy of the Lord in our hearts as we lay up treasures, our faith, our trust, our dependence and reliance on God in Heaven where they can never be corrupted, stolen or destroyed.
In this episode we look at the Lord’s command to lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth. We see why He said this and how the use of the word ‘yourselves’ gets to the heart of the matter. We see what lurks beneath the surface of this mindset, how it belies the self becoming an idol and how instead of allowing God to have His rightful place, we allow self to take His place and sacrifice to self. We’re called to lay up treasures in Heaven and be rich in God. That’s true wealth that never fades, true prosperity in every area of life and its wealth that can’t be corrupted or stolen.
In this episode we look at the power our words have as Christians. We look at the power of the tongue, how it has the power of life and death. We see how we should use our words and the dangers of speaking bitter, mean, unnecessarily hurtful words. We look at how those words operate as a spiritual poison and how the devil uses words idly spoken like that to increase his foothold in people’s lives. We also look at how those words are a burden to people and the dangers accompanying them as burdens. We need to make the choice to speak life today!
In this episode we look at what it means to be a friend of God. We go throughout scripture to find the Biblical qualities that define friendship and see how we can implement them in our lives. We look at Abraham’s life and why it was that he was called a friend of God. We also look at the importance of sacrifice and surrender as it relates to having a mutual friendship with God and how the surrendered life is what frees us to do whatsoever he commands, which we know from John is one of the fundamentals of being His friend.
In this episode, we look at three instances in the book of Acts where people were in one accord. In these three particular examples the people weren’t brought together under the unifying, loving power of the Holy Ghost, they were brought together through the influence of demonic spirits. We see the strange and unique effects of this and look at how we find the same type of evil one accord being used by the enemy today. We look at how we can protect ourselves from these demonic forces and how we can regain our Godly one accord.

We look at what it really means to show love and how we can do it in our daily lives. We look at the difference it can make in both our lives and the lives of others. Showing agape love is one of the most powerful weapons in our spiritual arsenal, we can’t allow ourselves to let it go to waste. We need to show love and allow the God who is love to impress Himself upon the hearts of those around us.
In this episode, we look at the seal of the Spirit again. We look specifically at its role as the earnest of the Spirit. We see what specifically that means and what it entails for our walk of faith. We see what the earnest of the Spirit has to do with the measure we use concerning the Spirit’s operation. The measure that we use matters, it matters a lot and we see how we can tell what measure we’re using. We also see the relation it has to the measure of our faith. We need to make the choice today to measure with a hundred-fold measure.
In this episode, we look at the seal of the Holy Spirit that the Lord has placed within us when we were born-again. We see what exactly it means to be sealed with the Spirit and what specifically that entails for our daily life. We also look at the connection it has to those who’ve allowed their conscience to become seared. We see the effects of that and how we can avoid it. We should always cherish the seal we’ve been given because He’s sealed us with Himself and that’s a seal that can never be broken.

Then we look at when they both ended up in the Upper Room when they, along with all the other disciples, were in one accord. We see how that change came about and what exactly brought them together. We look at what this means for our own time and what our role is. We find so much division in our world today but it’s time for the Matthew’s and Simon’s to be brought together.
In this episode, we look at what it means to actually have and enjoy good will. We see how we can make our will good today and how we can act in accordance with our good will. We go throughout scripture to see the relationship between good will and faith and then faith and the Word of God and look at how it all comes together in the Word. This is a season of good will, but good will shouldn’t be reserved for just a season, it’s something we’re always meant to have and enjoy. We look at their histories and the meaning behind choosing them to be the first to hear of the arrival of the Savior. We look at the symbolism behind them and see what they represent. In this episode, we look at how King Saul was hunting after David and every man of the High Priest Ahimelech’s house. One man of that house, Abiathar escaped and went to David and we find that David comforted him. We can learn a lot from this, we explore all the different lessons we can take from this interaction and go throughout scripture to see what comfort really means, how we ourselves can be comforted and how we can comfort others. We’re called by God to comfort those around us, especially our fellow believers, so it’s incredibly important that we know what we’re dealing with and how to do it.
In this episode, we look at how we can receive the kingdom of God as a little child. We look at what the Lord’s command means for us. We look at how we’re not to be children, we’re to be like children. We see what that means and some of the different attributes of childhood that we can imitate and emulate in our lives. We look at the importance of dependence, child-like faith, refusal to hold on to anger, engaging in joy and laughter and seeking after understanding and wisdom. We go throughout scripture to see what we should do to be like little children and we look at all the different ways we receive the kingdom of God as a little child.
In this episode, we look at the importance of giving thanks, especially as it relates to giving thanks in advance. We go throughout scripture to see some examples of people giving thanks for things that hadn’t come to be yet and see how and why they were able to do so even before the answer manifested. We also discuss the connection that exists between thankfulness and praise and how this connection directly affects us and our prayer life. Giving thanks is a way of life and we have a choice today, right now, to seize the opportunity we have and give thanks to God for all He’s done, past, present and future.
In this episode, we look at the dangers of allowing ourselves to become spiritually lukewarm. We see how we get to that point and the effect that brings about in our life if left unchecked. We also look at what we should have instead, which is zeal. We see what exactly zeal is, how we get it and what it looks like in action. Today the Church needs to rekindle its zeal, these are days that call for a zealous response. During these evil days we’re living in, being lukewarm won’t suffice, we need to rekindle our zeal.
In this episode, we look at Jesus’ call to go through Samaria, how he ‘must needs go’. We look at why that was and the difference that it made. We look at the history of the route he took, the history of the city he stopped in, and the history of Samaria itself. We also go throughout scripture to see what this calling means for us. Sometimes we must go through Samaria ourselves but our Samaria is the world, it’s a hostile territory, a land where there will be people who hate us and work against us. Sometimes we have to go that way, we look at how we’re to act during those times and how God can use us even in Samaria, even in the world, the devil’s territory.

There are certain actions they took that set apart their reactions from those of the natural, carnal man. Today we have the opportunity to respond rightly when the hard, bad and troublesome times of this life afflict us. Today we need to make the choice to follow the example of these men and honor God in through our reaction.

We see how there are those who run and hide from God’s voice, while there are others who like Mary, hide His Word in their heart and hide themselves in Him. We look at why that is, who the pure in heart are and what it means for us today. We look at how we can show forth purity around us and the connection purity has to generosity. In this episode we look at the wind of the Holy Spirit. We see why Jesus compared the workings and operations of the Holy Spirit to wind when He was talking to Nicodemus. We see what the Holy Spirit’s role is when someone is born again and the dangers of over-emphasizing man’s role. Paul said that in his ministering and reaching out to others he became all things to all men, and we see how that reveals his willingness to show his fellow men sympathy and empathy. These qualities can make an incredible difference both in our lives and in the lives of those around us. We need to make the choice today to be sympathetic and empathetic.
In this episode, we look at how we as the people of God, can seek after His righteousness. We go throughout scripture to see what exactly righteousness is, why we can’t rely on our own to save us and why we need to seek after His. We’re told to seek first His righteousness, which means that we need to make it our greatest priority, we need to be willing to go after it whole-heartedly and be willing to sacrifice whatever is called for in order to receive it, nothing is more necessary in our lives than having His righteousness. We go throughout scripture to see just how fundamental it is to our faith and we see what Jesus has to say about it. He called for an astonishing level of sacrifice, a sacrifice not just of someone or something in our life, but of our life itself, and we look at what exactly that means in the spiritual sense and how we can follow what He commands us to do. We know that if we’re willing to lose, if we’re willing to put it all on the line for God, that we will find and He’ll lead us, through the Holy Spirit, into all truth. We look at why when he told Peter to forgive seventy times seven times, he used an exact number and how that number correlates in other versions to the only other place in scripture where we find that same number used. We find that there’s a special connection to Lamech who wanted vengeance, not forgiveness. We then look at the parable of the servant forgiven of his master who then wouldn’t forgive his fellow servant of a much smaller debt. We look at all the lessons we can learn about this about why and how we’re to forgive those who’ve wronged us. Let’s make the choice today to forgive.

In this episode, we look at the importance of having and operating in long-suffering. Long-suffering is not just a virtue, it’s a fruit of the Spirit. As we celebrate Easter this year, and for every day that we spend with Jesus, it’s important that we know what’s within the inheritance that He made available to us through His death and resurrection. Once we know what legally belongs to us through the death of the testator we look at how we then need to claim the promises and blessings in faith. In this episode, we look at the story of the Ethiopian eunuch. We look at why he went to the temple, what happened when he got there and we see all the great lessons that we can learn from him. It may seem like he was an unimportant, insignificant person in Biblical history but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The reason he’s so meaningful to us is that we all see part of our own story in his. We need to make the choice to learn all the lessons we can from his walk of faith and his experiences and emulate his best qualities. Like the eunuch was the servant of the Queen of Ethiopia, we’re all servants of the King of Kings and we should desire to be just as dedicated as the eunuch was.

We’re called to be watchmen, and we look at how we can properly fulfill our role. We look at what this means for our interactions with the world and what it means for our spiritual warfare. Many people assume that it was Christ’s human nature, his natural inclination to not want to suffer that made Him say ‘let this cup pass’, but we look at it from a different perspective showing the real reason why He said this and what it meant for not only Him, but also for us. We look at the importance not only of God’s will but also of His timing, and how this relates to letting the cup pass. Sometimes we too need to be willing to let this cup pass. He’s a little known Bible character, but he has an amazing story that we can learn from, and it makes it all the more amazing that we find part of our own story in his. We look at how Onesimus came to faith, his relationship to Philemon, we look at his interactions with Paul and we look at the time and place where he lived to see how it shaped him and his faith. There’s a lot of lessons we can learn from his story especially for this day and age we live in.
In this episode, we look at God’s message to the leaders of His people Israel, that was given through the prophet Ezekiel. The Lord became angry with the shepherds of that time because they were feeding themselves instead of the people and we find the same exact thing happening in the Church today. We look at what exactly this entails, what the shepherd’s job specifically is and what it means for us today. God will not allow His people to go hungry any longer, if we continue to trust the Lord, we will be fed abundantly with the meat of the Word of God.

Greatness is not some abstract, high, lofty ideal that sounds nice but is really unattainable, it is something that God has clearly defined and set forth in His Word. We then compare Jesus’ time of preparation to Paul’s. We look at the time that Jesus spent in the wilderness before His earthly ministry began. In this episode, we look at the importance of forgiveness. We all know that as the people of God, we need forgiveness from God, we need it from others and we need to give it to others. We look at what exactly it is and how it works so that we’ll know when we experience it and also how to give it to others. Forgiveness is one of the fundamentals of our faith, and the better we understand it, the better we’ll be able to live out our faith. We’re called to forgive those who’ve wronged us, the same way that God forgave us. Let’s make the choice today to enjoy the forgiveness of God and forgive those around us.
In this episode, we look at the lives of Moses and Jesus. We see that right from the very beginning of their lives they had many similarities, and we go throughout scripture to look at the other similarities they shared, especially their obedience to the will of God. We look at what made them different, most importantly as it relates to the mission that Christ came to accomplish. In this episode, we look at the importance of temperance. We go throughout scripture to see why we need to be temperate, what it means and what it looks like in our day to day lives. We are commanded to be temperate, it’s not something that’s a choice or an option, we must have it. It’s critical to the strength of our faith that we have temperance in every area of our life, spirit, soul and body. This isn’t a command we should take lightly, it’s more than a value or virtue, it’s a fruit of the Spirit. When it manifests in our life, let’s make the choice to actively cultivate our temperance.

He chose to wait for a convenient season, and that convenient season never came. We can find many similarities between what Nehemiah went through and what we go through as born-again believers. In this episode, we look at a fundamental question that we should all ask ourselves, ‘Where are you?’ We go through the scriptures to see that this was the first question that the Lord asked Adam after he sinned, and we look at how it wasn’t only addressed to Adam, it’s also addressed to us today. When we sin and miss the mark, when we deviate from the will of God, we need to have a moment of inflection and self-realization and ask ourselves ‘Where are you?’ It’s only after we answer this question honestly, that we can then be freed.

We go back throughout scripture to look at what made Hannah’s prayer, we look at why her prayer was answered and the effect that her prayer had on her life. Her prayer is a good example that we can learn from about how to pray. Her prayer was from the heart, she wasn’t just speaking meaningless words, and because she meant what she said, God gave her the petition of her heart. Prayer is our greatest asset in the Christian life, the better we know how to use it and the more we use it, the better off we’ll be. Let’s make the choice today to learn from Hannah’s prayer.

The world system, in it’s fallen state, is contrary to the desires and purposes of God and since it deviates from God, we shouldn’t love the world. In this episode, we look at how we, as Christians, are to use our faculty of reasoning. There is a popular misconception in the Church today, that reasoning is bad or that it’s opposed to our faith, but we look throughout scripture to see, not only why our reasoning is necessary but also why the Lord desires for us to use it. God gave us this faculty for a reason and He expects us to use it, it’s our job to use it in the right way. Our reasoning has a different foundation from that of people in the world and when we build on the right foundation, and reason using the Word of God, we will glorify God.

No matter what is happening in your life, whether it be a new job, moving to a new home, starting at a new school, or anything else that is changing, embrace the day of small beginnings. In this episode, we look at what exactly joy is. Joy is a crucial part of our Christian life. People notice the joy that we have in our lives, and if we are truly living joyful lives, it becomes contagious. In order to truly operate in joy we have to have a good working knowledge of what it really is and subsequently we need to know what exactly it means to rejoice. We can not take these two important aspects of our faith for granted. We can't just assume we know what they are, we need to delve into the scripture to see what God has to say about joy and rejoicing, and once we understand what God means by these things, we have to apply this understanding in our own lives and operate in joy and truly rejoice. In this episode, we look at not just understanding God as the Lord of our lives, but understanding Him as our Father. Fatherhood is an important part of who God is. Understanding Him as our Father is inseparable from understanding His true character. In this episode, we look at where exactly joy comes from. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. It is very important that we learn where we can find joy, it can greatly change our lives for the better if we get it and operate in it. Joy is not the same as happiness, they are very different, and we have to understand them as such. If we are to truly have joy, and be joyful Christians, we need to go to the source. We need to get joy from the only place it comes from, and we explore this source throughout this episode. We are called to be joyful, we can't ignore this calling, we have to go to the source and truly experience joy for ourselves.
In this episode, we talk about seizing the opportunity. All throughout our lives we experience opportunities that God desires for us to seize upon. They may be opportunities to bless others or opportunities for us to get blessed, or even opportunities just to worship God, but it is our job to act on these when we get the chance. We look throughout scripture to find times when the people of God seized the opportunities that they were given and we see how we can follow their example in our own lives. In this episode, we look at the day of darkness. Right now we are living in hard days and we look at why that is. We find, that there is a famine of the Word of God all around the world today, the light is being withheld from people, and darkness is being brought upon them in it’s place. There are two different cups that the Lord has. One is reserved for the wicked and the other is reserved for His people. We all understand that life on this earth ends at some time and we are all faced with the question of what we will leave behind. This is a question that we all must ask ourselves. In this episode, we look at the importance of perspective, and not only perspective but eternal perspective. This makes all the difference. Our perspective is of great importance in our Christian life, it can change how we see things and understand them. This goes beyond attitude and focus, this is our central reference point. We need a perspective not rooted in temporal things but one rather rooted in eternal things. We need to understand that our perspective is what prepares us for the future that God has set apart for us, the right perspective will give us hope, peace and joy.
In this episode, we look at the importance of contending for the faith. We are called by God to contend for the faith as it was once delivered unto the saints. We look at what it really means to contend and how we do so earnestly. We also look at the types of attacks the enemy will try to throw our way. Then lastly we will look at the greatest way we contend, by living out the Word of God. In a day of lies, deceptions and heresies, we can't allow the Word of God to be watered down, we need to stand up for the Gospel in its fullness and be ready to contend for it.

All throughout their lives and in the great exploits they were able to perform in the service of God, we see that God had set them apart for His special purpose. We need to understand that we today are consecrated because we are born again. We have given our lives to Him, and we now belong to Him.
