Creating the voice that I’ve been missing in my life - My voice - and hopefully helping others whilst I’m at it!
This is a very long episode and it’s the final episode of this season. I found a post that triggered me and I decided to end this season with a rather raw experience with me and let you all in on something in my current conversations. Enjoy. I hope it helps!
Why are we conditioned to be wives for people who aren’t - by any means at all - taught to be husbands?
I’m getting a bit tired of the one sided conversation about women being wives or not. This is my opinion on it.
Just a few thoughts on healing in a romantic relationship setting. This was provoked by a post I saw today and I just thought why not?
The world doesn’t treat black women well at all, especially the black world. Let’s talk about that.
Hi y’all! I’m coming off a really difficult couple of weeks and I’ve been thinking of how I perceive myself and see myself. Here’s an episode on confronting myself. I hope you can get something from this!
The world has been going through a really rough time for the past year and a half and coming into contact with some of the news that’s been happening in the recent days - it’s just never ending. In this episode I just wanted to point out some of the realities we are living in but more importantly I just wanted to point out that we need to be there for each other. We need to acknowledge that we are all going through the motions and we need to be kind. So I hope this encourages you to shine your light and help others in these rough times.
I’m a little bit disappointed that I even have to do this episode but I realized it’s important that I do it and put my opinion out there. Gender Equality and Women Empowerment! These things are important! And if you are managing to overlook this in this day and age, you need to check yourself :/
This is a conversation that came up when I was talking to my dear friend Nyasha, and we started going on about how we are treated as women - black women - on on our college campus. I had a rant about it and realized that this didn’t end at my college campus but instead, just in general. So yeah! Listen to this and start to think a bit more about what your positionality is with women - no matter what gender you identify with.
This month I’ll be talking about being a woman and what that has looked like for me. It’ll span the month and this episode is specific introducing you all to the complexities I’ve faced with the ideas of beauty and a few more things. I hope you learn a thing or two from my experiences!
This episode is me purely using this platform to speak about an ongoing traumatic event. I want people to understand that even when you feel like you can’t walk, do your best to crawl - keep moving and be proud of that!
Hey y’all! I’m back after a quick break! This episode is about taking responsibility and being honest with yourself. Intentions and actions are different, let’s talk about that!
A friend of mine left me some words of encouragement that basically inspired this episode! I hope this episode can do the same for y’all! It’s all about about claiming your space and shining your light! Give it a go :)
Just a thought that stemmed from a bummy gym day. It made me look at how I attach the thing that are important to me to my self worth and what that should look like for me. I hole this helps someone!
We often limit ourselves to our perceived inadequacies, and I really believe that that’s a box most of us need to learn to take ourselves out of. In this episode I talk a bit about this.
Today is about what you’re doing with you. What you’re doing intentionally and beginning to think through what that could possibly mean for you in your current and future realities.
The thought has been lingering, but I guess it’s finally here. I’ve been looking for people to tell me things I should have been telling myself my entire life and now I need to start telling myself these things. And here it is!
