One of the greatest examples of being a servant from Jesus to His disciples is when He washed their feet. However, this is not the only example we have. Today we will see the foot washing and look at HOW this this service was not self focused, but others focused.

In this lesson we see the 6th sign in John. In John 9 we find a man born blind who Jesus heals. We can see by the reactions of the people surrounding the man that although some may believe and attribute the work to God, other are skeptical of the miraculous work.
In this passage at the end of John 8 we see one of the greatest statements by Jesus about His deity and eternality. The Jewish leaders ask three questions that are intended to mock Jesus, yet Jesus replies to each of them with wisdom and shows the leaders who He is really claiming to be.
In this lesson we look at the middle of John 8 and see that pride and the lies of the world can blind us from the truth. However, Jesus is the Truth, the Light that illuminates not only the way of salvation, but also the way of sanctification. Through Christ alone, we can be set free.
"I AM the Light of the World" is one of the most famous quotes of Jesus. In John 8:12-24 we see that when He says this, the leaders of the Jews try to challenge it with to no avail. In this lesson we look at what Jesus says in reply to them and at some other scripture that shows us that we too are to be lights to the world, to point others to THE LIGHT, Jesus.
From John Chapter 8 verses 12-24 we see the famous passage of Jesus saying that He is the light of the world. We can also see the leaders challenging this and Jesús answering them well. We will also take a look at some other passages that show us that we too are to be lights, pointing to THE LIGHT Jesus.
In this lesson we see John 8:1-11 and the section of Scripture that some say was not in the original text. We will look at this claim and then how this section of the Word fits with the text and shows us Jesus as the Merciful Savior, which is John's goal. How can we be merciful if Christ is merciful?
In this lesson of John 7 we see several groups of people who believe several different things about Jesus. Some that He is a prophet, some that he is a false prophet, others who are unsure, and some who believe that He is the Messiah. However, even those who believe that He is the Messiah had different reactions when they saw that others did not believe.
This week we will look at the middle of John chapter 7 where Jesus teaches and many different opinions get circulated about Him. We see that some believe, but many don't seek truth and therefore do not find it. They accept the things which they have heard but do not seek the truth.
In this episode we look at John 7 where Jesus goes down to the feast of booths. Many there are in fear of the Jewish Leaders and therefore not speaking of Jesus openly. Jesus on the other hand speaks boldly about the Father despite what others think of Him.
In this episode, we see Jesus talking to the people about the author of salvation who is the Father. The Son is the way, and the Spirit is the illumination. Jesus in this section teaches of the drawing of the Father and we see that God is drawing all men to be saved, yet some do not believe.
In this episode we look at John chapter 6 when Jesus begins his discourse the morning after the feeding of the 5,000. We see that he strongly emphasizes the security of the believer and the authority of the Father. Three times in this powerful section Jesus says, never in no way. We also see the first I AM statement of John.
In this episode we continue our journey through John and see the 5th sign, from John chapter 6. In this sign we see that Jesus is giving his disciples yet another test, but one that is a bit more difficult. We can take direct application by learning from the trials of the disciples and by gaining wisdom through defeats and successes.
In this lesson over John 6:1-14 we see Jesus as the provider, making bread and fish out of nothing and feeding a multitude of people. This miracle is the 4th sign in the book of John and is a very important sign showing Jesus as the creator, as well as showing us other things about Him. These things can help us in trial and testing to run to Jesus.
In this episode we look at the end of John chapter 5 where Jesus calls four witnesses for himself as the Messiah. Many would come claiming the Messiah role, but only Jesus had these witnesses in his favor. At the end of the day in the courtroom, Jesus has the evidence on His side.

In the second lesson of The Heart of Philippians, Adam Barnes teaches over Philippians 1:3-11 and the participation that the church at Philippi had, as well as Paul's love for this church. We can take direct application from this passage as we seek to participate in the body of Christ today.
In this part two lesson we look at Ephesians 4:1-3 once again to see two more character qualities that Paul says the church should have in order to walk worthy and be unified. Application is simple to understand in this lesson, yet hard to practice.
This is the first lesson in the series "The Heart of Philippians" taught by Adam Barnes. In this lesson Adam teaches the context and introduction that is vital for understanding the book as a whole.
As Paul begins the practical section of this book he lists four things that we should have when walking worthy. All four are character qualities that will build unity rather than decision. In this lesson we will look at two of those, Humility and Gentleness. We should be showing others humility and gentleness in the body and promoting unity in that way.

As we look at the scripture, we can glean many applications, one being, that we should not think or act like we know more than God does.

We also see that the church age gentiles have some cool blessings that gentiles have not always enjoyed. Paul is building a foundation of unity that he we continue to build all the way through the book.
This lesson is titled "Reunited" because Paul talks about how we were dead in sins, yet God sent Christ to make us alive. The church at Ephesus had been reunited with God positionally, and as we will see next week, practically as well. Today, as we look at who we were before we were saved, we see that we were sinners and practically still are. Because of this fact, we can witness the great love and grace of God who sent Jesus to save us all.
In this lesson we will see that Paul has a prayer for the faithful church in Ephesus and we see that his will for them is to have a confident expectation in the things to come because God is all Powerful and has given all authority to the all powerful Jesus Christ.

In this lesson we look at Ephesians 1:3-6 and see how before the world began, God chose the church to be his light in the world. Making sure to note that the church has not replaced Israel, we see that the church is special to God and that has blessed the church, and its members, in many ways.

In this lesson Moses dies. As sad as this is for the people, we can look at the whole book of Deuteronomy, being the last words of Moses, encouraging the people to remember so that they obey God. Even though we are not under the same covenant, we can still apply this by remembering things like who God is and what He has done, which will inspire us in the present or future to obey God.
In this lesson we look at chapter 33 where Moses blesses the people of Israel tribe by tribe. We can see through this blessing the desire of Moses for the people as he gets ready to die. He encourages the people, as he has done throughout the book, to follow God and do what is right. This begs the question, do we encourage others to do right?

Just like most people, when God blesses us temptation comes to stop following Him. We must give credit to God for what He has done in our lives and thank Him for those thing in order to combat worldliness.

The law is something that bogs many readers down and most believers skip over in their daily Bible reads. Deuteronomy 12-26 is all about the law. We can see that as we look at the law it can be understood and broken down into sections, but more than that, can be understood with regards to purpose. The purpose of the law can be directly applied by us today as we see who God is through the law that He gave.
Ever wonder why God had Israel conquer Canaan? Moses tells the people in Deuteronomy chapter 9 and the application for us is stark. They were not chosen to serve God in this way because they were better than others and Moses reminds them not to be prideful just because God uses them.

Lesson 2 in our Deuteronomy series is over Deuteronomy 4, and deals with 2 things that cause us to NOT follow God's Word. In our world today it is easier than ever to change and forget the Word of God and who God is. In this lesson we will see Moses encouraging the people to follow the law. We can apply this by following the Word of God.
This is the first lesson in the Deuteronomy series. Here Moses encourages the people as they are about to go into the promise land by reminding them of the past. Through this the people can see who God is and what man's tendencies are. We can learn from this, and apply these principals.
