Yes, we do have a new name. We started as Meet the CEO Podcast but on this format we missed lots of sparkling stories from people who are not a CEO.
The idea of this podcast will stay the same. Once a week I will share insights from guests with a wide range of experiences and learnings. What do they have in common?
They share a very special story. About work, about their lives. We will share thoughts and ideas that no one else will share with you. ✨ No episode is scripted, it is a chat between two people, and we are going to see where the conversation takes us.

Über den Meet the CEO PodcastMeet the CEO.

Viel Freude bei unser aktuellen Meet the CEO Podcast Folge.
Fashion is an essential part of our lives. However, lots of men don't focus on what they are wearing. But to be honest, it does make a difference in appearance if you dress accurately.
This was the beginning of Sergio´s influencer career. He always had an eye for fashion, and as it is his passion, he started to post stories on IG on how to dress in a modern way. So how can you learn what to wear and what not?
During COVID, his channel grew substantially, and he is now one of the most successful fashion influencers on a global scale.
In this episode of the sparkling stories Podcast, we are talking about the beginning, his style, his equipment, and his everyday schedule.

Episode Recommendation:Do you already know Episode #16 with Boris Diekmann? We all encounter the everyday struggle of being too much in meetings, having a full calendar of panels which could be an email or way too many onsite conferences.
What is the thing that keeps people on track or, even better, keeps them positive? It´s self-motivation and company culture. These two topics go hand in hand.
Boris Diekmann is a global leader on that topic, and it shows in this episode of the sparkling stories Podcast because, besides all the business topics we are talking about, Boris shares his personal experiences and provides insights into some exciting ways of living.

Being a serial entrepreneur can be challenging if you are active in different industries. Or you can build your own ecosystem in the digital commerce industry.
This is what Bard Farstad did. He created digital tools that helped him be more effective in his own companies while developing new products. The way he did it is really astonishing.
In this episode of the Meet the CEO Podcast, we are talking about his key to success and why attention to detail is crucial in founding companies and restoring old Italian cars and why having your own bike brand is way more than a hobby to him.

What generation are you in? X, Y...Z? Is it essential for you to be a member of this group? Do you even mock other generations like Boomers?
We encountered a vast shift in how people see their age during the last years. A generational bonding got more critical due to the inherent differences in the economy, the daily challenges, and life goals.
But how did it get so far, and what can be done about that situation? The possibility to understand each other and learn from each other would be essential. And to get known and seen, you need to be proactive and provocative - especially on LinkedIn.
Dina Brandt managed to get known within months on the platform as "Trotziger Millenial" ("Defiant Millennial") in bringing up typical misunderstandings. Still, she also delivers the necessary insights to get rid of those.
With this success, she decided to start her own company and help with her knowledge to bring people closer together again. This is why she is today's guest in the Meet the CEO podcast.

People can't not communicate! We all do know this old quote by Paul Watzlawick. But it could not be more true nowadays with all the social media streams.
People are getting more and more sensitive to how you communicate. Therefore PR got more and more crucial in especially the digital industry. Is it authentic, are your messages advertising only, or are you just bragging about your activities?
PR is not advertising - it is about relationship management. And because of these relations, the best people should be visible for the suitable topics at the right time.
One of the most skilful people on this topic is Sachar Klein. As founder of hypr PR, he created one of the most successful PR companies in Germany - although he never really wanted to be self-employed at all. Probably that's even the reason why his company is so successful.
In this episode of the Meet the CEO Podcast Sachar and Stephan are talking about why communication is critical, what are the benefits of the new normal and how teams can use their possibilities in the best way.

There are lots of KPIs out there to measure a company's success. For most, it is revenue or growth rate. But these indicators are not the relevant ones you need to figure out if times are getting tough in the market.
Then the Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) is one of the most interesting key performance indexes as it gives you an excellent overview of your existing business. In addition, you can adapt services to fit your client's group event better.
But why is this so important, and how do you measure these KPIs correctly? I am talking about these topics with Valentin Radu in this Meet the CEO Podcast episode. He is a serial entrepreneur and highly successful with his latest company OMNICONVERT.

Some brands did establish an emotional connection to their customers. The best examples are Apple and Tesla. What is the secret of those brands?
On the one hand, they manufacture fantastic technology to improve everyday life. On the other hand, they have established a direct emotional connection with their customers. So now the question is: Why do they succeed in doing that, and why do most brands not?
This is one of the topics Stephan is talking about with Alain Sylvain in this episode of the Meet the CEO Podcast. Alain is a unique character as he manages to make a first impression that lasts for a long time due to his energy, ideas, and speech. Stephan had the honour to see Alain talk at TNW 2021. He was fascinated not only by the speech itself but by how easy it seemed for Alain to point out some of the most important topics in brand communication and brand building.

Founding a company in the e-commerce industry 20 years ago was utterly different to nowadays. Most of the systems we use daily were not invented, and it was the time of the first digital gold rush.
So starting a business was often not focused on one solution but on many different ones. This is also the story of Dotdigital. The company was founded as a e-commerce and CRM platform, and both products were highly successful.
But at some time on the journey, Tink Taylor, Co-Founder & CEO, decided it would be best to focus all the energy on being the best email marketing solution that is available in the industry. This shift was hard - internally and externally as well. But Tink is happy with how things turned out and how he created a global leader in the marketing industry.
These are the topics Tink Taylor and Stephan are talking about in this Meet the CEO podcast episode.

If you are in need of a product or a service and you are not able to find a solution to that; for most people, this is a setback. For entrepreneurial minds, this is where they see a vast potential to create a unique service.
Bernhard had this situation back in the days as he worked as an engineer and travelled day in and out way too much. As he was into flying, he thought it might be good to use a plane for trips like this.
Fast forward to today, he is the CEO of Austria's biggest, privately owned airline. He did not only build his dream but a team that is working perfectly together. All this in one of the most exciting industries you can think of.
In this episode of the Meet the CEO Podcast, Bernhard and Stephan are talking about what it needs to build a company that lasts for decades in such a demanding industry, how to get the best people possible and if Bernhard is still enjoying flying by himself

Founding a startup nowadays is relatively easy. There are a lot of investors out there who are just waiting for the next big thing or innovative company.
Twenty years ago, it was way different. Not only because of the Dot.Com Crash. But the infrastructure has evolved, the internet is an integral part of our everyday lives and software services are the backbone of many industries.
Michael has done it the old way. He founded CELUM back then and established a company that grew to one of the frontrunners of the digital economy in Europe. He managed to build a team of employees who stay with the company for decades. This is not done easily - but can only be done if you honestly care about humans.
In this episode, Michael and Stephan talk about what changed during the last years, what are the challenges even if your company is already established and what the challenges nowadays are for him as a CEO.

15 years ago, it was exceptional if you were online while travelling through Europe. Companies like Second Life were telling us stories of how our lives would be lived rather online than offline, and many people were spooked by that idea.
Forward to 2022, and we are at the gates of what will be known as the phygital decade. The technology is here, and people are open to experiencing an omnichannel lifestyle. More and more, our physical world and the digital world merge into one.
What does that mean for each of us, what possibilities does the state of the art technology provide and what will be the impacts on our personal lives? These are the topics I am talking to Nicolas Prevost about in this episode of the Meet the CEO Podcast.

Our everyday lives have changed significantly during the last few years. Yes, a lot has to do with Covid-19, but besides that also, the way we understand our daily commute has changed. It is not necessary anymore to own a car if you can rent it and so have the newest model on the market for six months.
This is also the sustainable way as a car, once produced, can be used by various people/owners over time. Sergio Studer came across this idea and managed to build an innovative company in Switzerland to change how people buy their cars.
But we don´t only talk about cars in this podcast episode. We also do talk on how to found a company in Covid times, what are the challenges in finding the right investors and what his personal schedule daily looks like.
Please enjoy this episode of the Meet the CEO Podcast - we now will be live again twice a month.

Episode Recommendation:Do you already know Episode #9 with Stevanija Zecevic from BRADAS? This is the most emotional episode of the Meet the CEO podcast so far because the story behind the brand "BRADAS" is very heartwarming, tragic, and motivating at the same time.
Stevanija and her husband Mirko tell it the best way, and it shows that often you don't need a business plan to start a community, rather a very personal mission. And being colourblind can be the way for a comfortable co-living in the upcoming years.

Building a company is a huge task. You need to have an idea or service, the right people and of course, money. All of these segments on their own can be challenging for the founding team. But help is at hand - Fabian created together with his co-founders ROCKETX. His company can help scaleups find the right people, find the right investors, and support them on the growth plan.
What is the secret behind his success, how does he organize himself as an entrepreneur and still have time for his family, and how do current trends like NFT and Cryptocurrencies affect him?
That´s some of the topics we are talking about in this Meet the CEO podcast episode.

Being apart from each other can be challenging. But it is even worse for little kids as they need a bond with their parents and relatives. Due to the pandemic, it is hard for personal meetings - so what to do?
Anieke had the idea to create a tool that kids can connect with distant relatives or parents via an exceptional app. PEEKABOND does not only provide video calling but guides the grown-ups on how to communicate with kids. This might help to create bonds again, and families can master the pandemic from a long-time perspective.
In this Meet the CEO podcast episode, I am talking to her about how she came up with the idea, the challenges in creating an app for kids, and what she believes as a startup founder.

FUTURE FEMALES WAS FOUNDED WITH A SIMPLE VISION
It is a movement to inspire more female entrepreneurs, and better support their success. We provide a platform digitally, physically and emotionally where women can connect, inspire and collaborate with each other, and access the resources they need to succeed.
But how can a movement like this be started when the whole world is captured in the worst pandemic it has ever seen? This is one of the topics I am talking to Lauren Dalles, Co-Founder and CEO of Future Females in this episode of the Meet the CEO podcast.

Episode Recommendation:Do you already know Episode #4 with Oliver Bruns? "If you have everything under control, you are not going fast enough" - we all do know this quote from our everyday life. We are trying to achieve great things with minimal time and therefore multitask like there is no other way.
But there is an alternative - this is the way of focussing on one task at a time and give it all your attention. Once it is done, you move on to the next one.
This may sound a bit weird initially, but this way of working has its advantages to multitasking. Oliver Bruns, the CEO of NEVEON, has made "BE HERE NOW" the basic management strategy for his team, and the company is thriving with the newfound spirit.

Growing an internationally successful brand is not that easy as it sounds. First, you need an excellent product, you do need an outstanding team, and then you need someone who can tell the brand's story in a way that touches the customer's heart.
Four Pillars Gin did already achieve this - the company was founded in 2013 and evolved to one of the leading manufactures of Gin in the world by 2019.
Find out why Four Pillars is so successful and why starting on a regional scale can be the key to grow a global brand. Matt Jones is one of the Co-Founders, and he is the storyteller behind the brand. As you will hear in this "Meet the CEO" episode, he manages to tell stories exceptionally.

The gaming industry is changing heavily; gone are the days where it was just a nerds thing. Gaming is established in all levels of society, and Gamers have turned into Rockstars.
But what does it need to be a Streamer, how does community management work, and what potential do Streamers as influencers have for big brands?
STREAM.tv is a truly global startup founded by Thomas Rafelsberger three years ago as a remote-only company. This worked out very well before the pandemic and was definitely a huge advantage once the whole world got into the home office.
We are talking about the challenges of growing a global team without any office space, the mental challenges, and how you can be successful in a fast-changing environment without working more than 60 hours per week.

Building a company is hard work. Building a global company is a real challenge. Creating a global anti-agency in a pandemic is a once in a lifetime challenge.
So how is it possible that a team from Newzealand thinking digital solutions and customer focus on a completely new level gain momentum in the current environment and become the fastest-growing agency globally? This can be done by finding and connecting the right people and then care for them. If your people recognize that you honestly care, the bonding is on a different, more intense level.
That is one of the topics I have the pleasure to talk about with Todd Welling, Global CEO of OVERDOSE. He is sharing his experience and insights on how to think differently.

Transforming a brand to be a global player is a one-of-a-kind challenge. Because the first thing you are about to learn is that every region in the world has its own challenges. It´s not only your customers who will be different; it is also about your employees. Europe is different from the US, which is different from Asia - so you have to think local if you want to be successful globally.
Despite that, in times like these, there is another challenge for every one of us: how do you keep yourself and your employees mentally healthy? In this episode of the "Meet the CEO" podcast, I am talking about those topics with Brent Bellm, CEO of BigCommerce, one of the leading global shopping carts in the e-commerce industry.

Growing a Startup or a company is hard work. If you try to go international and have to have the challenges of countries you maybe have never even been to by yourself.
Dealing with local authorities and laws is a pain in the**. But to grow in a market, it is essential to know what customers really want, how marketing and sales structures work efficiently, and what social skills are expected. As a foreigner, this challenge is tough to achieve - and help is at hand.
Gernot came across all these hurdles during his time as Intrapreneur and, together with his co-founder, started his own company more than 7 years ago.
How that felt and his personal challenges in growing a company are topics we cover in this episode.
Communication matters. In every part of our social interaction. And for personal and company development, feedback is essential to growing.
In the e-commerce industry, reviews and customer feedback is even more important. It is a way to contact customers who are having a problem and solve these issues. As "customer-generated content", this information has also evolved as an SEO critical indicator.
So communicating with your clients virtual in the same way you would do personally is the way to go. This is the way how Callum built his company REVIEWS.io - be fair, transparent and open-minded to his clients, his team and of course his family too.

Back in 2011, Rob, Bas, and Sabi were running an online store selling phone accessories. Things were great, and the business was growing. However, they couldn’t find a time-saving solution for their most frustrating problem: shipping. As the adage goes, if you want something done, do it yourself. In a quest to solve the problem, they decided to build the software themselves, and by themselves, we mean they asked a programmer pal to help. With the transaction paid in beers and a mac screen, Sendcloud was born.
The all-in-one shipping software for online shops Sendcloud, headquartered in Eindhoven, Netherlands, offers 80 connections to shop systems and marketplaces of all kinds. According to its own information, the company has customers in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands, particularly the UK and Austria, helping e-commerce companies scale their business.
Sendcloud's mission is to increase the competitiveness of online retailers by optimizing the shipping platform for the entire shipping route from checkout to return. The spectrum of customers ranges from small to large online retailers and ranges from industries such as fashion and electronics to food and beverages.
Rob has (together with his team) managed to build a performance-driven company and a place where people really like to work. As we know, those two things often relate, and it isn't easy to maintain both things in a growth market like the e-commerce industry.
As you will hear, Rob has a passion for his company and even more to change as this should be for all good entrepreneurs.
