as you grow up, there is a natural understanding that bullying will stay in school, and/or between kids. so what do you do when that doesn't happen? what happens when bullying/ power trips come from professors, co-workers, your boss? during this episode i will talk a bit about my experience with adult bullies, as well as my way of rationalizing their behavior to protect my mental health. have a story you'd like to share? hit me up on instagram via cate.jales please like, comment, review & download ✨ thank you!! intro music credits: warm nights by lakey inspired - all credits and rights reserved; listen & download to this music and more on soundcloud
that’s right i’m back to podcasting after a much needed break. cause of break: I found this amazing book "can't even" by anne helen petersen at strand bookstore and realized upon reading the first few pages that I was undeniably burnout. you can listen to what that means, and what helped me dig my way out of it (and yes this is a brene brown reference) on by clicking play on this episode. please like, comment, review & download ✨ thank you!! intro music credits: warm nights by lakey inspired - all credits and rights reserved; listen & download to this music and more on soundcloud

this week, i am sitting in bed with one of my bffs to chat all about… friendship. me and Julia met a couple years ago at work. it was a strong relationship from the start - and one may i add that i think will never go away.
julia, much like me - had just moved to the US from the EU (ahem it was EU at the time at least) and having to make new friends/ while trying to keep the ones back home. while not super similar our paths eventually led us to one another - and now you can hear about it by listening on this episode!

this year as i found myself turning 30 i wanted to take some time to think about my life so far.
ihile doing that i found myself in a predicament. see - i am, generally speaking the “glass half full” person in the room - but for some reason as I sat with my thoughts about my life I got stuck on the bad, thinking about the what it was that i hadn’t said or done other than the reverse.
it surprised me how critical i was of myself and how pressured that made me feel. and this is when i decided things needed to change.
so starting today and as i enter this new decade I am no longer going to be focusing on “what could’ve been” but focusing on “what it is” instead.
to help celebrate this new way of living I am launching my own podcast where i will be sharing personal stories and life lessons in hopes to help someone else out there put a little bit of their anxieties into perspective.
because my friends, just like when life gives you lemons you should make lemonade, when life gives you lessons why not make a podcast to share them?
i hope you like what I have in store and if you do please LIKE, REVIEW and leave a COMMENT - THANK YOU!!
