Most people’s “working time” is not spent at peak performance levels. When most people are working, they do so in a relaxed fashion. However, when you are results-oriented, rather than “being busy,” you’re 100 percent on when you’re working and 100 percent off when you’re not. Why do anything halfway? If you’re going to work, you’re going to work. In this episode we'll dive into why protecting your mornings is the critical to the quality of your work outputs. You’ll never watch yourself accelerate and advance at rates that are possible but from your current vantage point, seem impossible. In this episode I cover just some of the reasons why you make or break your day between 5-7am. Follow for more! https://linktr.ee/worklifemindset

Our brain and body are better at moving away from things we don't want, rather than moving towards things we do want.⁣ Old science told us that we should visualize our success every day as we make strides towards our big goals. ⁣ Today’s researchers are finding that by visualizing what failure looks like, we are twice as likely to achieve success. ⁣ ⁣ Foreshadowing negative consequences of missing the target, we are more able to stay motivated and maintain progress. ⁣ Follow for more! https://linktr.ee/worklifemindset

In this Episode I introduce the BE-DO-HAVE model of intentionally creating your dream life. In psychology there is the Theory of Narrative Identity. What this says is that your identity is the story you tell about yourself. Rather than tell your story of who you are now, you want to tell the story of your Future Self. That’s how you Embody your future self. Explain to others who your future self is. “Act as IF’ you are already that person. You have to BE your future self, you have BE before you can DO. Because your Identity comes from who you are. Your identity shapes your behaviors. How you do anything is how you do everything. Follow me for more tips and tools https://linktr.ee/worklifemindset

Far too often I see people who are solely focused on some outcome. And while getting clarity on your desired future self is a critical first step, it can be difficult to then shift your focus towards not only building a system to attain that outcome, but actually falling in love with the process of mastery. It really is all about the journey, and never about the destination. PLEASE don't expect happiness to come simply from reaching a goal. Instead understand that being in pursuit of a goal is the opportunity to teach your brain to be happy EVERYDAY. Reward yourself when you hit checkpoints along your journey, and then you'll start to see the magic in falling in love with the process, rather than suffering over not yet having the outcome. Showing up powerfully for yourself, and everyone who you get to interact with. Listen you are always transforming yourself whether you know it or not. You can either let your environment, and circumstance drive this transformation, OR you can bring intention to this transformation by taking a few simple steps everyday to remind yourself of the person you are meant to become. In this episode I go deep into the importance of sitting down and clarifying your values. Without clearly defined values, your actions will never really be fully aligned. Which is the leading cause of stress and overwhelm. If you are not happy with your job, your relationships, your life, then chances are that you are also not very clear on your values. So let's take some time to sit down and get clear. Spending 15 minutes writing out your current values, and also what your future self values, is perhaps the best investment of time in your life! The first thing to understand is that a goal or outcome has three aspects to be considered: The HAVE, what is to be achieved The DO, what needs to be done to make it happen and The BE, or the WHO - who a person needs to authentically BE (how they need to behave) The problem is that that most people focus on the HAVE, the outcome instead of the BE which is the main driver for achieving the goal. In this episode I'll introduce you to this BE-D0-Have model of growing into a powerful future self identity and share the one step that most people fail to take. Almost all of your fears are learned. This is great news because you can train your minds to unlearn them. Our minds are always producing stories of what 'could happen' in the future. And these stories are keeping you stuck inside your comfort zone. This sucks because everything you want in life, any and all growth and development, is outside your comfort zone. In this episode we'll dive into the origins of our fears, the 5 most common fears, and the one thing you must do to overcome your fears so that you can step into the person you were meant to become.

There are two states of being that I like to call the Primal State, and the Powerful State. One state of mind comes with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, fear, anger. The other brings you joy, love, peace, calm, fulfillment. For the longest time I thought that I was in a powerful state, because I was happy-ish. But what I came to realize is that I was in a very low level of the primal state for most of the time everyday. Even being content and having my needs met, amazing wife and great kids, I still spent 4-6 hours everyday in a state of stress, anxiety and overwhelm. In this episode I'll cover more about what these two states look like, why it's important to be aware of your current state, and how you can move from one state to the other at your own will. Three common things that seem to be holding many of us back from taking action are; lack of self worth, perfectionism, indecisiveness.

The solution to not taking action is to get off the bench and get on the court. Stop 'thinking' and start 'doing'. How? One Step at at time. READY, FIRE, AIM.

You don't have to believe in yourself to take action. But the only way to change is to start getting results, which comes from action taking.

Beliefs are meanings that we give to experiences. Many of our beliefs were formed when we were very young, and we lacked appropriate logic to really understand how the world works. And for this reason, many of our beliefs are not aligned with the person we now know that we are meant to become. And until we work through these limiting beliefs, and do the work to change our paradigm, our own thinking will continue to keep us from taking the right actions, and in turn we will never get the results that we are looking for. Transformation is what we are here to do. Whether you believe it or not, you are a different person than who you were one year ago. You can change yourself either from a decision you make, or through a circumstance outside of your control. So you can be intentional about your change, and take control of the ship. Or you can be passive and let the autopilot take you wherever it pleases to take you. I believe that it's best to choose your transformation and be in the driver's seat.

You can have big clear future self, big clear goals, and have a lot of anticipation, and excitement, motivation, while at the same time being so absorbed and grateful, savoring your life, what you've got, who you got.
