A godly woman/mother/wife
will not fill her house w/ bitterness & strife.
She prayerfully guards her home each day
in the holiness of God's ways.

She's emotionally sound at all times;
refusing to complain, gossip, & whine.
Her compassionate nature is her strength
and covers her love ones like a tent.

The words that flow from her mouth
are spoken in wisdom to her children & spouse.
The work of her hands are truly blessed.
She dwells in the secret place of God's rest.

She leads by example in deed and word.
She avails herself to righteously serve.
She wisely discerns the actions of others.
She's the keeper, not destroyer, of her brother.

Her inner man is beautifully adorned
like the sunrise of a breathless morn.
Her husband she respects & refuses to disgrace;
In her hands, his heart is safe.

Her home is built on the foundation of Love;
the love of God from above.
God's peace flows thru every room & hall;
His joy explodes from every wall.

At the feet of the Lord she humbly kneels;
where she's molded & fashioned for His will.
The outward adornment of her flesh
is not greater than her inner man in God's rest.

Who she is, is wonderfully proclaimed
by her righteous works in Yeshua's name.
Yes, the work of her hands is not in vain;
an eternal crown of gold she will gain.

Her obedience to the Lord is a shield of protection.
Her godly role is not a forced subjection.
With a joyful heart she gracefully yields
to our Heavenly Father's perfect will.

Because she's made in the image of Christ,
she stands ever ready to sacrifice.
Though she is ridiculed & scorned by those of this world;
In God's eyes, she is a priceless pearl.

She's not a manipulator for the glory of self.
She is not greedy for fame and wealth.
She's a vessel full of godly wisdom & direction.
She exhibits continually a Christlike reflection.

She leans not to her own understanding.
Her love for God is ever expanding.
She doesn't demand things go her way.
In God's perfect will she prayerfully stays.

Whether at home, work, or church;
she's a woman of integrity; a woman of worth.

THE LORD’S BATTLE CRY!

God's sounding His trumpet
From shore-to-shore;
Arise all saints, it's time to war!
Take up your sword and your shield;
By God's Spirit you are sealed.
This is the day, this is the hour;
People of God go forth with power!

Battle with weapons of love and joy;
Satan's strongholds these will destroy!
Battle with praise, forgiveness, and prayer;
Give no place to the Prince of the Air!
Raise the dead and heal the lame;
Bind and loose in Jesus name!
Be wise as serpents and harmless
as doves;
A peculiar people ruled by Love.

Casting down every ungodly thought;
The name of Jesus is who we exalt!
Alpha and Omega, the great I AM;
Delivering souls by the blood of the Lamb!

We walk by faith and not by sight;
God determines what's wrong or right.
God takes the base and foolish things
to confound the wisdom of earthly kings!

It's not with flesh and blood we fight;
Not by man's power and might!
It's not by carnal strength we stand,
But in God's perfect will and plan!

Death to the spirit of manipulation!
Death to the spirit of fornication!
Death to thoughts of murder and hate!
Death to the spirit of strife and debate!
Death to thoughts of suicide!
Death to every form of pride!

Death to the spirit of adultery!
Death to the spirit of poverty!
Death to every ungodly tradition!
Death to every ungodly addiction!

Death to gossip and every lie!
We command the spirit of fear to die!
In the name of Jesus Christ,
we speak forth words of hope and life!

We speak God's will in every situation.
We speak His purpose for the nations.
We speak forth life to souls that are dry;
God's calling forth eagles to arise and fly!

We come as a living sacrifice;
Crucified with Jesus Christ!
We "walk-the-walk" and run the race;
Our steps covered by God's mercy and grace!

We embrace the new and release the old.
God's peace and love binds to our souls.
No longer carriers of a heavy load;
Anointed to walk the narrow road!

We magnify the King of kings!
We command our souls to dance and sing!
As we pour out rivers of hope and peace,
the works of darkness must decease!

THE BOX

I like the box that I live in;
It's filled with familiar things and friends.
I control the course of my destiny;
Control and comfort are important to me.

Everything is set in perfect order;
I rarely go beyond my self-made borders.
My box is sometimes very boring,
But at least I know where I am going.

I don't need faith inside these walls;
I know every room, closet, and hall.
My box is dark, it has no light;
It doesn't matter, I have no sight.

God came one day and began to knock;
I invited Him into my little box.
He said "My child, there's so much more;
There are new arenas to discover and explore!"
He opened my eyes and held my hand.
He began to explain His purpose for man.
I trembled at first, I didn't understand;
By faith, I accepted His life changing plan.

As I followed my Lord beyond the door,
It began to rain; It began to pour!
The wind blew, the lightning flashed;
The sound of thunder was like a clash!
I was struck with debt and poverty.
My body was struck with infirmity.
My friends were few and nowhere to be found.
My soul was disquieted and cast down!

What happened to the clear, blue sky?
Did the Lord lead me out so I would die?
I was full of fear and began to cry!
I looked at God and asked Him "Why?"

And then the Lord did a strange thing;
He commanded my soul to dance and sing!
He told me to pray for the needs of others.
He told me to forgive and bless my brother.

He told me to lift my head and smile.
He told me to go the extra mile.
He told me to keep my eyes on Him;
I had a choice to sink or swim!

I believed God's word; I would finish
this race!
I began to rebuke the storms I faced!
With Jesus on board, my life was set;
There was no need to worry or fret!

As the storms of life began to pass,
I reached the other side at last!
A crown was placed upon my head;
I was given authority to raise the dead!

The storms taught me to trust and obey;
That Jesus would always make a way!
No longer bound by self-made walls,
In Jesus Christ I stand firm and tall!

True purpose lies outside the box;
Will you arise and go when Jesus knocks?
Will you hide like Adam among the trees
and live your life as you please?

MAN’S TRADITIONS

How did man-made holidays
become a part of God's ways?
What does Christ being raised
from the dead
have in common with bunnies
and Easter eggs?

Beautiful colored eggs we hide,
Some with hidden treats inside!
If Jesus walked the earth today,
What would He do? What would He say?

Are we firmly locked in man's traditions?
Who made these a part of the Christian religion?
Is this a tare sown among the wheat?
Has the church been careful about what she eats?

Do we judge the things we hear and see,
or do we accept things as the way it should be?
Do we imitate what we've seen and heard
without thoroughly examining it with God's word?

A seed of tradition planted in our minds,
Grows deeper and deeper over time.
Do we know the history of what we believe?
Do we truly understand the things we've received?

"My mother and father are both Democrats;
So am I and that's the end of that!"
"My family has done this for generations!
Why must you start a confrontation?"

Just because it's been done for years,
Just because it sounds good to our ears,
Just because it's a beautiful sight,
Doesn't make it perfect and right!

"What would Jesus do?" we say.
What a popular, cute cliché!
"Jesus is Lord of my life,
After my parents, job, friends, and wife!"

God or man? Which do you choose?
Which would you rather keep than lose?
If something we like offends the Lord,
Do we cut it off with our spiritual sword?
The offering of a true sacrifice
requires the death of something nice;
the thing we consider number one,
the thing we consider exciting and fun.

It could be just about anything;
your money, your time, or ability to sing.
Your child, shopping, your beautiful home;
God wants the things in your comfort zone.

"Greater love has no man than to lay
down his life for his Friend."
This includes the tradition of men
and anything that hinders or offends.

"Happy Easter! Merry Christmas!'
These holiday greetings are instilled in us.
We were taught to say them years ago,
Most never question the status quo.

Can you handle what people think about you
when you choose to do what God wants
you to do?
Not just anybody off the streets,
but those with whom we sleep and eat?

Those with whom we work and play;
The folk we interact with everyday.
It's a challenging thing for most to do;
This walk is reserved for the remnant few.

A HEART’S CRY

INTO THE CLEAR STAR NIGHT I STARE;
GOD, ARE YOU THERE?
THERE’S TURMOIL AND MISERY EVERYWHERE!
MY HEART IS BITTER AND IN DESPAIR.
GOD I WONDER.....DO YOU CARE?
LIFE SEEMS SO CRUEL AND UNFAIR.

THE ISSUES OF LIFE, WRONG –VS- RIGHT.
THE DAILY BATTLE MY SOUL FIGHTS.
WHEN I’M WEAK AND HAVE NO MIGHT;
CALLING TO YOU THRU SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.
GOD I WONDER...DO YOU HEAR?
WHERE’S THE HOPE IN EACH DAY, EACH
MONTH, EACH YEAR?

WAR, CONFUSION, FEAR, APATHY;
ARE THESE THINGS MEANT TO BE?
DISEASE, DESTRUCTION, POVERTY, PAIN;
SOMETIMES I WONDER, WHAT IS THERE TO GAIN?
IN THE DARKNESS OF LIFE I FEEL ALL ALONE;
WANDERING HERE, WANDERING THERE, HAVING
NO PLACE I TRULY CALL HOME.

LIKE A RIVER MY TEARS FLOW CONTINUALLY,
IN MY SEARCH FOR LOVE, PEACE, AND SECURITY.
OH GOD! IS THERE AN ANSWER TO LIFE’S INSANITIES?

GOD OF HEAVEN, GOD OF EARTH;
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY BIRTH?

MY TODAYS AND TOMORROWS ARE ALL THE SAME;
FILLED WITH SORROW, REGRET, AND SHAME!

THE SCATTERED PIECES OF MY BROKEN HEART,
ARE LIKE A PUZZLE; WHERE DO I START?

SURROUNDED BY HEARTS THAT ARE HARD AND COLD,
YET YOUR WORD COMMANDS; BE STRONG, BE BOLD!
HAVING DONE ALL, CONTINUE TO STAND;
TRUSTING IN YOU AND NOT IN MAN!

IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF YOUR WILL,
MY SOUL SHALL BE QUIET; MY SOUL BE STILL!
THOUGH I DON’T ALWAYS UNDERSTAND;
I CLING TO THE MASTER OF THE SEA, THE SKY,
AND THE LAND!

WITH FERVENT PRAYER MY SOUL TRAVAILS;
THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL!
FOR YOU ARE MY PEACE, MY JOY, MY LIBERTY!
YOU ARE MY ANCHOR, MY HOPE, MY SANITY!

WHEN I FEEL EMPTY AND OVERWHELMED INSIDE;
WHEN I WANT TO GIVE UP AND DESIRE TO DIE;
UNDER THE WINGS OF YOUR LOVE MY SOUL HIDES.
YOU LORD ARE THE ANSWER TO MY HEART’S CRY!

AS I DRAW INTO YOUR PRESENCE MORE AND MORE;
ABOVE THE PAIN AND SORROWS OF LIFE I NOW SOAR.
IN ALL THE EARTH THERE IS NO OTHER;
NOT MY HUSBAND, MY JOB, MY FRIENDS, NOR MY
MOTHER!

LORD, I CHOOSE TO PRAISE YOU EVERYDAY!
YOU ARE THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, THE ONLY WAY!

AMEN

UNITY

There are many who speak and seek unity;
Searching for oneness and identity.
True unity is not established by the will of man,
But according to the Father's purpose and plan.

True unity begins with a change of heart;
Dependence on the Lord is the place to start!
Then humbling ourselves before each other,
With the love of Christ, many sins are covered!

A kingdom divided against itself
will never reach its potential wealth!
Whether it be a marriage, the church,
corporation, or community;
You can become your own worse enemy!
Destroying yourselves from within;
Losing everything in the end!

Cease the jealousies! Cease the fights!
Cease the tongue that strikes and bite!
Wrong is wrong! Right is right!
Enough is enough! Saints, it’s time to unite!

I’m not you and you are not me.
I am who God created me to be!
Yet, the Christ in you is the same Christ in me;
Bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace and purity!
Flowing freely in God’s grace
with different talents and different tastes.
The Spirit of the Lord knits us together
to accomplish His will; that’s what matters!

Finished vessels from the Potter’s wheel;
By His Spirit we are sealed.
Now a part of God’s redeemed,
Our gifts and motives have been made clean!
"Hand in hand united we stand",
Same message; different plan!

The rich, the poor, the old and young
Are joined together by the Holy One.
With different gifts and abilities,
By His Spirit we flow in unity!
Operating like a concert band,
Orchestrated by the Master's Hand;
The assigned part that each saint plays,
Is given by the Ancient of Days.

Called to the kingdom at this time,
The Lord declares, "These jewels are Mine!
Not to divide; Not to compete,
But to put the enemy under their feet!"
Considered once lost, but now are found;
No longer in chains of darkness bound.

Each instrument unique in shape and sound,
Uniting to pull Satan's kingdom down!
The preparation season seems long and confusing.
Our daily lives rehearse the part God will be using.

Repairs, adjustments, and mistakes;
Our daily lives God will shake!
The fullness of time has now come to age!
The curtains unfold to history's final page.

The Lord of hosts takes front center stage;
The saints await His cue to engage!
All eyes focus on the Master of the Universe;
The Great Composer of heaven and earth!

As the Lord directs the song of salvation,
Multitudes listen to His invitation.
It's crucial that each saint stay awake.
One beat off is all it takes,
For God's people to go astray,
And try to play His song their way!

Watch and pray; Know your part!
Hear the rhythm of the Father's heart!
No gift is better than another,
Brothers and sisters we need each other!
The challenge is to know your place,
Walk in the Spirit and stay in the race!

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!

It was free for you, but not for me.
A price was paid for your liberty!
Many are using their freedom in vain;
They play with freedom like it's a game!

A price was paid for the clothes you wear.
A price was paid to style your hair.
A price was paid for where you live.
You freely receive what others died to give!

Prices are attached to valuable things;
electricity, houses, and diamond rings.
The higher the value, the higher the price.
Your comfort is another's sacrifice!

The American flag contains much red;
It reminds us our freedom involved bloodshed.
Men and women who were willing to fight;
They were willing to die for what was right!

It's evident by the way some behave,
they don't appreciate the price others paid.
They love to receive, but rarely give back;
They are greedy, arrogant, and full of flack!

They love to complain about what is wrong!
They want to be seen as wise and strong.
Yet, they are usually fearful and spiritually weak,
and quickly wither in mild heat!

Christ came and freed us from the cord of sin
when He died on the cross and rose again.
To love according to the will of God
may cause you pain and being seen as odd.

Christ freely died for you and me.
He paid a high price on Calvary!
Freedom is free for those who receive,
But someone had to suffer and bleed!

An Intercessor's Burden

My soul weeps deep within
for God’s people living in sin!
Too many souls in church are dying;
Committing adultery, gossiping, and lying!

I see dead souls sitting in pews.
The dead to flesh are very few.
The dead to God are many in number;
They are spiritually in a deep slumber!

I hear God's word like a sound of thunder!
The dead to God continue to slumber.
The dead to flesh shine forth like gold;
An excellent people, righteous and bold!

The dead to God arise and rebel!
The dead to God;the sons of hell!
They pretend to love God and His ways;
Their hearts are stubborn and won’t obey!

The dead to God are bound to tradition.
They live in a box called man’s religion.
They resist godly change; they are deceived.
They’re stumbling blocks to those who believe!

The words they speak steal and kill.
Their love is cold and creates a chill.
They do whatever they think and feel.
They refuse to confess their sin and be healed!

Many say that Christ is King;
Many preach His word, teach, and sing.
And yet their lives just don’t line up;
Their thoughts and ways are morally corrupt!

They worship the gods of comfort and fun.
They love to play and bathe in the sun!
They go to clubs and love to dance.
They live their lives on luck and chance.

They cannot hear, they cannot see!
Their #1 concern is me, me, me!
In times of trouble, they'll cry and pray,
But refuse to turn from their evil ways!

What horrible disaster will it take?
When will God's folk finally awake?
Like a stubborn mule, they refuse to budge.
They willfully forget that God is a judge!

My heart cries out for the church to be saved;
To be mindful of the way she behave.
“Workout your soul’s salvation with fear”
and be a doer of the things you hear!

The eyes of America have fallen asleep;
Drugs and violence fill her streets.
I tremble for America’s soul;
Her heart towards God is hard and cold!

She receives blessings from God’s hand,
But refuse to obey His holy commands!
She enjoys His air, His water and trees,
But she won't repent and bow her knees!

She invites sin with open arms.
She ignores all warnings and alarms!
She pursues and worships success and fame.
Many of her leaders give us grief and shame!

Many Americans go to church,
But their hearts are covered in this world's dirt!
Their righteousness “is as filthy rags!”
They love to eat, drink, and brag!

Repent.......before it’s too late!
Repent of your greed, your pride, your hate!
Repent of your “don’t care” attitude!
You believe you are clothed, but you are nude!

If you willfully sin then you shall die!
Obey God’s word and reject every lie.
God is the Shepherd of a righteous flock.
We reap what we sow; God is not mocked!

Obedient hearts are admitted to heaven;
Not spots, wrinkles, blemishes and leaven!
Always strive to give God your best;
He won’t accept anything less!

Deceived hearts have itching ears;
They only hear what they want to hear!
They try to serve God and serve their flesh;
They’ll never enter God’s place of rest!

Perilous times; the end draws near.
Multiple sorrows and many tears!
The last days are marked by deception.
Many will reject God’s love and correction!

Christ is returning for a holy bride.
Will you be ready or shamefully hide?
Will you continue to "skate on thin ice"?
Will you foolishly gamble and miss Paradise?

Hell is a terrible, dreadful place;
A place of torment and total waste!
Don’t give Satan place in your flesh;
Awake and arise to God’s righteousness!

The words I speak may seem stern;
But I write with a heart of loving concern.
Avoid the very appearance of sin;
He who endures to the end shall win!

Sandra G. Williams

THE BREAD AND THE WINE

Matthew 26:26-28 (NET)
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after
giving thanks he broke it, gave it to his disciples, and said,
"Take, eat, this is my body." And after taking the cup and
giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it,
all of you, for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant,
that is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

The bread and the Wine;
The branch and the Vine.
The love of God is pure and divine.
His love is compassionate, giving, and kind.
Like a light it brightly shines!

The body of Christ is the bread.
Everything we are flows from Jesus, our Head.
The bread is made without a pinch of leaven!
The wine is Jesus sent from heaven.

When Christ struggled in Gethsemane,
He knew the cross was part of His destiny.
As He painfully died on Calvary,
He became a drink offering for you and me.

As we drink from the cup of the Lord,
Our hearts unite on one accord.
The wine-the blood-has set us free.
Blessed and broken; chosen are we.

In the Vine, the branch abides.
Christ the bridegroom calls forth His bride.
By His side she gracefully stands,
She looks in His eyes while holding His hand!

The Bride's garment of praise excites the Lord!
He draws nearer; He desires more.
He holds her closely in His righteous arms,
She knows she’s safe from any harm.

I thank You Lord for Your loving care.
Through bitter and sweet, You’re always there!
“Foxes have holes, birds have nests"
I lay my head upon Your breast.

I bought You ashes, a life in despair.
You took the burdens I could no longer bear.
Why are You so in love with me?
I'm speechless before Your majesty!

The fragrance of worship fills the room.
It’s aroma is like a sweet perfume.
The words of His bride touch His heart;
He sweeps her off her feet and departs!

Wedding bells begin to ring;
The angelic host begin to sing.
“The time has come"the Lord declares.
“A feast for you I have prepared!”

“Come My bride and dine with Me."
“My table has spiritual delicacies!”
“You still have yet to see the best".
“The bridal chamber is where we shall rest."

The bride embraces her Lord with a kiss.
Her former life she doesn’t miss.
They shall celebrate their love forever.
Throughout eternity they shall be together.

THE LOVE OF GOD

I love You Lord very much!
I feel Your love; Your powerful touch!
You stepped into my world of pain.
My life has never been the same.

You didn’t condemn me when I was down.
Your compassionate love erased every frown.
You said “I know just how you feel;
The pain I endured was so you could be healed!”

I still don’t quite understand,
why You are so mindful of sinful man.
You left the comfort of heaven’s throne
and lived among men with hearts of stone.

You didn’t grow up in the best neighborhood.
You were falsely accused and misunderstood.
Your family thought You had lost Your mind.
Though You suffered-
You remained patient and kind!

Your love withstands abuse and pain.
Your love destroys all guilt and shame.
Your love is the power we desperately need
to be free from fear, hate, envy, and greed!

When I weigh Your love on life’s scale,
Your love prevails; it never fails!
By Your love I’ve been redeemed.
Your love is more important than earthly things!

THE CAMOUFLAGED SOUL

Lord, as I camouflage myself in Thee-
Hidden from view of the enemy.
Your thoughts and ways control my life.
I’m filled with Your peace instead of strife.

I abide in Your presence, the secret place;
The place of those who seek Your face.
My soul is quiet. My soul’s at rest;
Unmoved by life’s trials and tests.

I can do much good from this position.
I can see the enemy’s every intention.
I can clearly hear My Lord's command.
I’m a useful instrument in His hand.

I’ve killed the “I”- the source of pride.
Therefore, Satan has no place to reside.
He’s constantly devising cunning ways,
To tempt me to sin and go astray.

He wants to flush me from God’s place of rest.
He wants me frustrated and full of stress.
He wants me to curse and not to bless.
He wants to render me powerless!

The storms of life shall come and go.
Adverse winds shall wail and blow.
No matter what the situation,
I’m always secure in God’s habitation.

His servant,
Sandra G. Williams

IT’S SUNDAY MORNING, BRIGHT AND EARLY.
GOT TO GET MOVING, IT’S ALMOST EIGHT-THIRTY.
WAKE-UP KIDS! GET OUT THAT BED!
GET OUT THAT BED! YOU HEARD WHAT I SAID!

NOW, WHAT SHALL I WEAR? LORD, WHERE ARE MY SHOES?
DON’T WANNA BE LATE FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL!

I GOT MY BIBLE, MY PAPER, AND MY PEN;
OOPS! ALMOST FORGOT MY ‘PUT ON CHURCH’ GRIN.
I ENTER HIS GATES WITH A SARCASTIC TONGUE!
I'LL BE SO GLAD WHEN THIS CHURCH SERVICE IS DONE!

GOOD MORNING MY SISTER! GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER!
WITH RELIGIOUS SMILES AND HUGS WE GREET EACH OTHER.

YET, INSIDE MY HEART THERE’S ENVY AND DEBATE;
PRETENDING TO LOVE, BUT REALLY I HATE.
I REALLY DON’T WANT TO BE HERE TODAY.
SOMETIMES, I FEEL JUST LIKE A REHEARSED PLAY.

“LET ME OUT!” I HEAR AN INNER VOICE SPEAK.
“I’M BOUND IN THIS CAGE WEEK AFTER WEEK!
THE BARS OF RELIGIOUS TRADITION AND STRIFE;
SURROUND AND SEEK TO DESTROY MY LIFE!

I’D RATHER BE HOME IN MY BED ASLEEP,
OR W/ MY FRIENDS RUNNING THE STREETS.
I’M BORED W/ PLAYING THIS RELIGIOUS GAME!
SERMON AFTER SERMON, THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME!

THOUGH I SING, I DANCE, AND I SHOUT;
I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT CHURCH IS ABOUT.
I GOSSIP, I CURSE, I WHINE, AND I POUT.
MY HEART IS FULL OF FEAR AND DOUBT.

WITH MY MOUTH, I SAY “AMEN!”
AND DAILY I LIVE GUIDED BY SIN.
AFRAID TO FAIL, AFRAID TO TRUST;
FULL OF PRIDE AND RULED BY LUST!

EMOTIONALLY TOSSED TO AND FRO;
LIKE AN OCEAN WAVE - UP AND DOWN I GO.

WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR, DO YOU
KNOW WHAT I SEE?
A SAD, TIRED, DIRTY SOUL SEEKING PEACE AND LIBERTY!
WITH GOD’S WORD, I EXAMINE MY HEART;
MY THINKING, MY MOTIVES, EVERY PART.

HAS GOD’S WORD BEEN PREACHED IN VAIN?
HAVE YOU HAD A TRUE HEART CHANGE?
DO YOU PRACTICE WHAT YOU’VE BEEN TAUGHT AND HEARD?
DO YOU TRULY LOVE, FORGIVE, AND SERVE?

DOES YOUR HEART AGREE WITH THAT SMILE ON YOUR FACE?
NO HIDDEN AGENDA? REALLY? NOT A TRACE?
CAN OTHERS SEE WHO YOU REALLY ARE,
BEHIND YOUR TITLE, HOUSE, CLOTHES, AND FANCY CARS?

BEYOND THE SPECTACULAR, BENEATH THE GOLD-
WHAT ARE YOU LIKE? HOT, LUKEWARM, OR COLD?
WHEN THE SERMON IS OVER AND THE CHURCH
DOORS CLOSE......WHO ARE YOU? GOD KNOWS!

I saw two figures clothed in white;
They both approached me in the mid of night.
Deception stood left and Truth to the right.
I pondered the meaning of this amazing sight!

Deception came forward and began to speak;
He said “I’m the answer that you seek."
He carried a box full of beautiful treasure.
He promised me a life filled with comfort and pleasure.

Though the words he spoke were free of pain;
They crippled my emotions and made me lame.
He meant me evil instead of good.
He hid dark motives behind a white hood.

He twisted the scriptures while using God’s name.
He abused God’s word for personal gain.
His evil ways bought bondage and debt.
He made God’s word of no effect.

His words were full of deceiving charm;
Like a bomb they exploded and caused much harm!
His words produced death and sorrow;
They provided false hope for today and tomorrow!

Then Truth came forth with a drawn sword!
He said “I bring you the word of the Lord."
I cringed at the weapon that He held in His hand.
I didn’t understand His purpose and plan!

This weapon produces life thru death.
It's sharper than the knife of a gourmet chef!
As the sword of Truth pierce the hearts of men,
It destroys the root and the cords of sin!

The words Truth spoke were not in vain.
At first I felt discomfort and frequent pain;
But His words bought healing! My life was changed!
No longer was I emotionally lame!

His words provide me with true answers.
His words destroyed my spiritual cancer.
His words are filled with His love and concern.
His words are compassionate, wise, and firm.

His words provide joy and peace.
His words is like an elaborate feast.
His words give strength where I am weak.
His words bring victory instead of defeat.

Deception usually feels pleasant and nice.
Most follow its path without thinking twice.
Deception runs rampant in the church and the earth.
Truth it seems has lost its worth.

Truth extends His hand to all.
Only Truth can lift us when we fall.
Sadly, Truth is received by only a few
Because Truth is a narrow avenue!

Deception and truth can look so alike;
Wrong will many times look like it's right!
False and truth can be hard to discern.
It’s through painful lessons that many will learn.

Be careful that you are not deceived!
Remember what happened to Adam and Eve.
They were placed in the garden; they made a wrong choice.
Will you obey God or Satan’s voice?

NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST

The road I walk is a narrow trail.
No longer am I afraid to fail.
No longer am I afraid to die;
To walk on water or at least try.

No longer am I afraid to be wrong.
My flesh is weak, but my spirit is strong.
I’m covered by the blood of the Lamb;
No longer confused about who I am!

No longer do I fuss and fight;
Trying always to prove that I am right.
No longer do I spend energy and time,
Chasing things that are not mine.

What others think and say about me,
No longer shapes my destiny!
No longer am I bound by man;
I’m bound by God’s perfect will and plan.

I’m learning what love really means;
To work with others as a team.
I'm learning I don’t know everything.
I’m learning to relax and rejoice in my King.

The righteous are bold, they are not shy.
It’s o.k. for the righteous to sometimes cry.
I’ve learned that pain is a part of life.
I’ve learned to smile in the midst of strife.

No longer am I full of stress!
No longer am I sad and depressed!
No longer tossed to and fro,
I’ve learned sometimes I must say “No.”

I’ve learned that everyone’s not my friend;
I can’t always trust a hug and a grin.
I’m much more careful about what I say.
I’m learning to be silent, watch, and pray.

This present earth will one day end-
No more suffering, death, and sin!
I’m learning to be more patient and kind;
The Lord can return at any time!

I’ve learned a house is not a home;
It’s not good for man to be alone.
I’ve learned that God will make a way-
I’m learning to trust Him and obey!

I’ve learned to turn my plate and fast.
I’ve learned to move forward and forget the past.
Through every trial, through every test-
I’ve learned to be still in God's rest.

My life is different, my soul has changed;
Many may think that I am strange.
I desire to bless and not to curse;
To look for the best and not the worst.

Shalom!

THE DEEP

In My presence great mysteries unfold;
All things are new – away with the old.
I’m tender and merciful with the weak.
I dive with the strong into the deep.

I’m Alpha and Omega; I'm the Prince of Peace.
My mercy extends to the great and the least.
I’m El Shaddai; I'm the "Great I Am";
I’m the Redeemer of the soul of man.

I’m the Master of the universe;
I satisfy souls that hunger and thirst.
I’m King of kings and Lord of lords;
My word is sharper than a two-edged sword!

Unfound treasures are hidden in Me;
I made the galaxy, the land, and the sea.
Whether on the ground or among the stars;
I meet each person where they are.

Some souls will die, while others soar.
Some will settle for less and others seek more.
Some seek Me with a fervent heart;
Others seek My gifts, and then depart.

The earth belongs to the humble and meek.
The seed one sows is the harvest one reaps.
Those who are blind shall lead the blind;
Let the swine hangout with the swine.

The dead to God shall continue to sleep;
But the Deep will call unto the deep!
Day after day and week after week,
The deep are doers of the things they speak.

The flesh can’t discern the things of the deep;
It doesn’t understand why intercessors weep.
The flesh doesn’t understand the ultimate price;
It understands blessings, but not sacrifice!

The deep will study the love of Christ;
They understand the cross and true sacrifice.
The eyes of the deep see beyond circumstance.
Like David, the deep will worship and dance!

The world will see the deep as odd;
[because ]They think and act like their Father God.
The deep are forerunners of change and truth.
The deep are committed to Naomi like Ruth.

The deep are not stagnant and frozen in place.
The deep are overcomers and finish the race.
The deep are not bound by man’s traditions.
The deep are not deceived by false religions.

The deep will love and quickly forgive.
They command dry bones to arise and live!
The deep are transparent; they have nothing to hide.
They have killed the “I”- the source of pride!

The deep are not envious, unkind or lewd;
They study to show themselves approved.
The deep don’t abuse grace and liberty.
The deep are a people of destiny!

They are quick to hear and slow to speak.
The deep are givers – they are not cheap!
The deep are not ruled by the spirit of fear;
The deep are the head and not the rear.

The fiery trials of this earthly life,
Refine and sharpen the deep like a knife.
They do not succumb to the standards of flesh;
Their hearts are broken, renewed, and blessed.

Like iron, the deep will sharpen the deep;
Over walls and hurdles they gracefully leap.
The deep will wisely redeem their time;
They refuse to be late and get left behind!

The Lord moves His people from shallow to deep.
The Lord guides the course of His people’s feet.
The Lord opens eyes and causes them to see!
The Lord lifts burdens and sets souls free.

The Lord opens ears and causes them to hear!
The Lord heals hearts and wipes away tears!
Come and search the depths of His awesome love;
Set your mind and emotions on things above!

Deeper in Christ my soul shall go;
Out of my belly, living waters flow!
It’s no longer I, but Christ that lives;
My entire being to Him I give!

Penetrate Lord; take me spiritually higher!
Your love surrounds me like a cloud of fire!
I’m deeply in love with my Lord and King;
The sacrifice of praise I bring!

God’s love penetrates the depths of my soul.
His love is more precious than silver and gold.
His love explodes in the hearts of men;
Those who hearts have repented of sin!

A spiritual battle is in the atmosphere;
The end of the age is drawing near!
I see the spirit of anti-Christ
removing the daily sacrifice!

I see the abomination in the holy place;
An evil being with a righteous-looking face!
With deceiving words, He seduces the weak;
He’s a master at tricking with a treat!

I hear the voice of the Shepherd calling His sheep;
I hear the voice of the Deep calling unto the deep.
I hear the ram’s horn blowing from east to west;
I hear the call to enter God’s place of rest!

I see the virgins, both foolish and wise;
At the cry of midnight, I see the wise arise!
The wise trim their lamps to burn strong and bright.
The lamps of the foolish have a flickering light.

The Bridegroom returns for a spotless bride;
On a white horse I see Him ride.
Those who are ready shall enter the Door;
They shall be with the Lord forevermore!

The foolish shall weep on judgment day;
Those who refused to submit and obey.
God’s thoughts are deep and His works are great;
Follow His ways; don’t procrastinate!

His servant,
Sandra G. Williams

What really happened at the cross?
What was the price Christ paid for the lost?
He suffered and experienced extreme pain;
Through Him salvation was obtained!

Is Christ our example? Do we imitate the same?
Do we lay down our lives for others to gain?
Are we willing to be rejected and despised?
Are we willing to suffer, die, and be criticized?

Are we trying to follow the King of kings,
While yet holding on to earthly things?
Has Christianity become another fashion trend?
Are we constantly seeking for a new word
or conference to attend?

Has the pulpit become a place of entertainment?
Are there musicians and singers performing only for payment?
Honor should be given to those bringing God’s word,
But money should not be their motive to serve!

What message does the church proclaim?
One of deliverance or one of fame?
Are we a people with hidden issues and pain
that refuse to renew our minds and change?

Are we seeking God’s hand more than his face?
Are we trying to serve Him from a comfortable place?
Are we pointing the lost in the right direction?
Are we teaching Truth or our own speculation?

What is the church really excited about?
What really makes us run and shout?
Our mouth quickly answers “the King of kings”,
But our attitude says “When I’m blessed with things!”

The Lord says, “Take up your cross and follow Me!”
We must suffer like Christ to a similar degree.
We are to follow our Lord without any regret.
We are to trust in Him and not to fret.

The cross is a part of the Christian race;
It has a very bitter taste!
The cross is a very uncomfortable place.
The flesh is crucified; every trace!

The spirit of the anti-Christ,
Hates the cross of Jesus Christ!
This spirit says “You can gain without pain!”
“You can rise to great heights without
deliverance and change?"
“You can go to heaven and don’t have to die!”
This spirit constantly brags and lies!

The anti-Christ ministers to our flesh.
Our flesh is where this spirit will rest.
This spirit wars against the cross;
When flesh is dead, Satan’s place is lost.

How many have risen to great positions,
With this spirit influencing all their decisions?
This spirit needs vessels to be carried to the top.
If you die at the cross, then its power is stopped!

Satan still tries to exalt his throne;
He wants God’s kingdom as his own!
Our cross is the valley we must walk through;
Death to the things that I want to do!
The cross is a part of our destiny
and precedes the place of true intimacy.

God’s cleansing process is received by few;
Many cling to the old and reject His new.
As Queen Esther prepared for an earthly king,
So must our hearts and minds be purged clean!

Many leaders in Christ are moving ahead,
Though their flesh is not fully dead.
The gospel becomes mixed with half-truths and lies,
when flesh is not properly crucified!

They speak of things they don’t understand.
They love the spectacular and cater to man.
They reject the cross for the easy way,
and lead hundreds and thousands blindly astray!

The cross is meant to strip our flesh.
We then become anchored in God’s rest!
These are the chosen God desires to use
to spread the true gospel of His good news!

Sandra G Williams

God's word tells us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus who endured the cross for the joy set before Him.

As I look upon the cross;
I'm counting the cost.
I realize just how much Christ gave;
His nail scarred hands; the empty grave.

As I lift my eyes toward the hills,
GOD'S amazing love is what I feel.
By His blood I've been redeemed;
Now a part of GOD'S righteous team!

As I take up my cross to follow my Lord,
I set my eyes on heaven's reward.

A college degree can't save me
The government can't save me
Money can't save me
Ministry can't save me
My parents can't save me
My talent or beauty can't save me
My good deeds can't save me
Friends can't save me
Tradition can't save me
My spouse can't save me
My dream house can't save me
My career can't save me

For God so loved others and me,
That He paid a great price on Calvary!

He was put to shame for you and I.
He was rejected, beaten, and crucified.
He carried my sorrow and my pain.
He did it for me that I may gain.

The greatest love that's ever been known,
Is found in Jesus Christ alone!
When adversity bangs on my door;
I remember the cross and what Jesus bore.

I stand in faith to the end;
Leaning totally on Jesus and not on men.

Saint overboard! Saint overboard!
Saint gone AWOL from the Lord!
Throw out the lifeline, there isn’t much time;
He's drowning in the world's slime!

What pushed him over the edge of the ship?
What caused his feet to stumble and slip?
Why didn’t he pray instead of flee?
Why didn’t he fall on his knees?

Pull together! Sound the alarm!
This saint was deceived by the enemy’s charm!
Pull out the weapons of love and prayer.
The enemy has told him no one cares!

This will be a challenging fight;
It may last for days and many nights!
Unforgiveness and rage are rooted deep;
The enemy sows tares while we sleep!

Where’s the warrior who fought by my side?
This is no time to run and hide!
Someone’s missing from his destined place!
Has all their training been a total waste?

A sheep has strayed from the righteous road!
A sheep has left the safety of the fold!
The ninety-nine are doing fine;
I must pursue the one left behind!

He's weak and far away from home;
He's unprotected and all alone!
This saint has become an easy prey;
There are predators awaiting those who stray!

The shepherd searches the forest and plain.
He calls the sheep by his name.
He finds the sheep in a cave unharmed;
He carries him back to the fold in his arms!

The sheep must choose to stay and obey-
Danger awaits for those who stray!
The shepherd may not always pursue;
He may not always be there for you!

Error is not the best way to learn;
It can be deadly to make a wrong turn!
Stay on board the ship of the Lord-
A bad decision you cannot afford!

Sandra G. Williams

Where are the parents of today
that teach their children to obey?
The parents who teach their kids God’s ways-
The parents who pray, and pray, and pray!

Where are God’s mentors for leaders tomorrow?
Where is repentance and true godly sorrow?
Where are those who stand in the gap-
Are they awake or taking a nap?

Where are God’s prophets? Where are His preachers?
Where are His apostles, evangelists, and teachers?
Where is the gold that’s been through the fire?
Are God’s people ready to go spiritually higher?

Where is God’s love for the lost and hurt?
Can I find God’s love among those in the church?
Can I find God’s love at work or at home?
Is the love of God limited to certain zones?

Where are those who’ve heard God’s call-
those who are willing to sacrifice all?
They follow God without any regret-
Healed from past pain they choose to forget.

Where are those who will stand and fight?
They are willing to die for what is right!
Those who maintain their place on the wall-
Who are quick to repent after a fall.

Where are the broken, compassionate saints
that don’t become weary - that do not faint.
Where are the Adams who won’t sin with Eve?
Where are the signs following those who believe?

Where are those who do what they say?
Where are those who borrow and repay?
Has integrity become almost extinct?
Do people lie as quick as they blink?

Where are the marriages with true commitment?
Where is forgiveness instead of resentment?
Where are the hearts with ears to hear?
Where is God’s joy in the midst of tears?

Where are you Adam? Why do you hide?
Are you still on the Lord's side?
Come out, come out wherever you are;
God’s calling His people from behind the bars!

Too many are locked in their own little worlds.
God’s kingdom is made of unselfish pearls.

Sandra G. Williams
