Hello, hello everyone!

It's been ages since I last posted on 3Speak, ugh! However, so it was editing my travel videos in general because I ended up doing video editing on a daily basis which more or less reduced the passion for editing these videos as well, almost getting the ich like doing it on a working basis.

But as I like saying that my trips still feel very present even if they were taken a couple of years ago, I really wanted to get ready this aftermovie from my trip in Venice and its surroundings, which is not a common vlog or travel video, but more like an aftermovie or cinematic film where you get to enjoy bits of everything I've seen while listening to music.

So, for the sake of reviving these memories and explore everything other than by reading a travel article, here it's what kept an entire day busy by editing. There are still stories to be shared through this trip but as I hardly find my motivation to write anything travel related lately as it brings lots of sadness with it after 2 years with no trips at all, I thought I should make th effort and edit this video a bit earlier before waiting for all the memories created in Italy be shared.

Hope you enjoy it!

I often say that nature offers us everything we need for a happy life, and that doesn't always resume to mountains and waterfalls because it can come in many other forms.

And I know that it's been a looong while since my last video posted but I struggled a lot with the pleasure of always being connected to a camera during my trips and don't enjoy everything to the maximum. However, during my trip together with my boyfriend from August 2022, I was still having my camera with me and did manage to capture lots of beauty through the lens that I can't wait for you to discover other than through travel blogs.

You can read more about the trip and places explored, down below:

  • Tales of a 16 hours long train ride
  • Tomis Harbor
  • Mila 23
  • Letea Forest and its wild horses
  • Sulina and its leftovers
  • Sulina Beach
  • Tulcea and Ciuperca Beach
  • Hotel Delta 4*
  • Danube Delta Museum and Aquarium
  • Medigidia - the city of cats

Sorry for not posting this on time and on Saturday as I used you with my travel posts but 3Speak had some serious problems lately and it took me more than 24 hours trying to process this video. Anyway, this one represents my first trip together with my boyfriend, so it means a lot to me! Also, there are some more videos coming up soon, but from two foreign countries. No spoilers! 😁

Animals should never ever be locked down in cages just for the fun of people who get entertained seeing plenty of species in a single spot. Just imagine how everything would look like if the roles would be reversed! Even if I've never been one of those people who enjoy going to the Zoo just for the sake of seeing some animals locked in small cages, there are also places that offer to both people and animals more than that! And happily, I managed to find a place like this which not only made my relationship with animals get stronger but also helped me understand their behavior better, as well as feeding tens of species with my own hands!

Unfortunately, as much as I'd try, it would still be hard to express the whole feeling in words because it's something needed to be felt, instead of just read somewhere on the Internet or watched through a video. And even though I created a video from this place, I tried to focus more on the time spent with the animals so there will be some species missing, but which can be seen in my travel article posted a few weeks ago.

You can read more about this place, down below:

  • Parcul de agrement „Moara de vânt”

This video represents a short trip we had one year ago, but some new series from 3 countries are coming up soon, so make sure not to miss them! 😁

Even if living in an upside-down world is not something impossible but rather something that we all experience at least once in our lives when everything seems like being out of control, I've always been curious to see how this actually works in a proper upside-down house. And I bet I wasn't the single one looking forward to seeing 2022 coming to an end and having a fresh start to a new year. Unfortunately, 2023 didn't begin the best for me especially since I got both my email and Instagram account hacked, but happily, I managed to get them back before turning into something really bad.

Anyway, the video you will see today is a different presentation of the place I wrote about in the previous week. But since I always try to make my audience enjoy the experience I had as much as possible, I thought about sharing a short video with Brambura Park as well.

While in my post I managed to take some shots without having lots of people covering the background, with the video part it was a little bit more difficult. But at least it shows how accurately this house was built, presenting both normal shots but also the ones with the bottom to the top.

You can read more about this place in my previous post, down below:

  • Casa Întoarsă (Brambura Park)

This video represents the last trip from 2022 taken just 2 days before New Year's Eve! However, I have plenty more trips stored from that year and I can't wait to write about them soon! 😁

There are always this kind of places which are way too overcrowded and popular vs those which are forgotten by people but not also forgotten by nature which takes the time needed to bloom and grace offering more unique experiences than any popular place will ever do.

And that's exactly the reason why I together with my family enjoy exploring less known places more than any other popular place which even though we do visit these from time to time as well, we still end up visiting more unknown offered by the wilderness of Romania. 😀

So while the video begins with a fairly popular location in Romania that perhaps everyone visits if they get to that side of the country Bicaz Gorges, the adventure continues on two more gorges that are well linked with the popular one but where you won't get to meet too many tourists on the way - Bicăjel Gorges and Șugău Gorges.

However, mountains don't offer just peaks and some paths in the forest, but also lakes which even though they are natural or not, they still represent a cool place where you go to rest for a while and chill your mind. And the one that gave us this feeling the most was Zetea Lake but we still spent a while also at The Red Lake that could be a lot more peaceful if it wasn't so popular, along with Bicaz Lake.

Though, a less pleasant thing that you can discover in nature which is created by people, is represented by the mining activities which sometimes go too far, like it happened at The Andesite Quarry. But still people can create awesome and unique places, remembering about The Heart of Jesus statue which is the largest statue of Jesus from Eastern Europe.

And last but not least, we couldn't end up this series of episodes without having a stop in a very wild peat bog with lots of unique species and things to see, along with the adrenaline you feel while stepping on a fragile path that keeps you on the surface - Fantana Brazilor peat bog.

So while we were on the way to the next destination, we figured out that no matter if it's cold and rainy, we would feel really sad not to take advantage of the longest bobsled track from Romania. I let you figure out what happened if you are patient enough and watch the video till the end! 😀

Here are the links to the places you will see in the video which you can read more about in my previous blog posts:

  • Cheile Bicazului (Bicaz Gorges)
  • Cheile Bicăjelului (Bicăjel Gorges)
  • Cheile Șugăului (Șugău Gorges)
  • Lacul Roșu (The Red Lake)
  • Barajul Bicaz (Bicaz Dam)
  • Cariera de Andezita Chileni (The Andesite Quarry)
  • Lacul Zetea (Zetea Lake)
  • Foişorul Inima lui Iisus (The Heart of Jesus statue)
  • Tinovul de la Fântâna Brazilor (Fantana Brazilor peat bog)

This video represents the 6th episode from our yearly road trip around Romania (from 2021) which is also the last one from this series, but lots of cool things and new places discovered coming up soon! 😁

It's always those places where you have lots of fun and enjoy some activities full of adrenaline, vs those where it's enough just to stop and stare for a while and feel a different emotion than anything felt so far. But when you find a location where you can enjoy both types of adventure, it's always a go-to!

Just as I promised last Friday, today I returned with a new episode from the gorgeous road trip we had in Romania last year. But guess what? There is one more episode that will come out next week, so hang in there! 😀

Anyway, since the places shown in my previous post shared more of a chill vibe, today we will explore more the wilderness of nature reaching a bastion that came with quite a few challenges because the area was very populated with bears and we had a few attempts before making our way to the destination.

The next stop was to a lake and dam called "Frumoasa" which means "Beautiful" in English, and I'm sure you will agree that it deserves its name especially because it keeps its charm even during rainy and cloudy days. Yay!

Unfortunately, we had the same unfriendly weather also while exploring the ruins of a church that was bombed in the past but which is also home to some creepy legends that wouldn't sound so credible if the sun would be up on the sky, lol.

And last but not least, a little ~~party~~ fun never killed nobody, right? That's what we thought too!

  • Bastionul Apor (The Apor Tower from Baile Tusnad, Romania)
  • Lacul Frumoasa (Frumoasa Lake and Dam)
  • Biserica Ciuntita (Csonkatorony Church)
  • Having fun on the Bobsled Track from Ghimes (The longest track in Romania)

This video represents the 5th episode from our yearly road trip around Romania (from 2021) and I promise to return with a new interesting episode next week which is also the last one from this beautiful adventure! 😁

There are these places which no matter how many times you visit them, you would still like to return one day. Therefore that's the difference between a true adventure lover and just another tourist.

I know that it's been too many months since my last video posted but sometimes I enjoy so much writing that I end up postponing the editing process with one more week for the sake of sharing another place discovered. And I did this for the last couple of months ending up with no video since July! Shame on me! 😀

Anyway, since there are quite a lot of places I've wrote about lately, undoubtedly the next weeks will come with visual material rather than a bunch of words to read, lol.

So while so far you've read more or less where I've been and what I've explored in my beloved country, today is the time to lay down on your back and listen to some music while watching my video that sums up 3 locations I've shared details about in the past.

The very first location explored is a cemetery dedicated to the soldiers that gave up on their lives with the hope of protecting their country during World War I and II. While it's not the first time when I check out a place like this one, I was really surprised to find a special room with all the bones of those soldiers stored together.

The next destination is a bit less sober but still with a little bit of adrenaline felt while we were walking on a little bridge floating on top of a peat bog. Along with the dramatic landscape and challenges at every step, we also got to see lots of cool plants specific to this environment.

And last but not least, we had one of those long walks in the heart of the mountains following various paths, crossing bridges, and getting into caves while reconnecting with nature in the right way.

Here are the links to the places you will see in the video which you can read more about:

  • Monumentul si Cimitirul Eroilor de la Siriu (World War I heroes' cemetery near Gura Siriului)
  • Tinovul Mohoș (Mohos Peat-Bog)
  • Cheile Vârghişului (Gorge of Varghis)

This video represents the 4th episode from our yearly road trip around Romania (from 2021) and I promise to return with a new interesting episode next week! 😁

There are these places out there where you have to drive a long way until you reach them but which are going to make you feel like it was totally worth it, while at the opposite pole are the locations found very close to you but with a long and rich list of things you can see around.

Today's video is going to present the 2nd situation in which even though we were roaming just a small part of the map, we literally didn't know how to split our time so we won't miss any of the things that were waiting for our visit, so do expect a video with quite a few places that are a must to add on your bucket list if you ever visit this part of Romania. 😀

Anyway, today you'll see just 5 of the many locations we discovered while spending a few days in Buzau county, so if you want an even longer list, there are a few more episodes to watch that are no less interesting.

However, since I already discussed about these when their time came, now we should focus on today's picks which are a mix of everything, getting to see a lake that even though is a very wild and peaceful place, all the way to it will be a real pain for the car, lol. Happily, the lake is the single one which came with this sacrifice while the other 4 spots are a little bit more accessible for both cars and tourists who prefer hiking instead of choosing the fast option.

The first stop was unplanned to a rock which from the distance it seemed like a tiny mountain of salt which wouldn't be weird to meet since in the same region there are some spectacular mountains of salt but which we failed to reach due to the lack of road signs and information of how to get there, so we had to say thank you for the place we discovered instead and leave with the thought that maybe in a few years we will meet the spot we had in plan initially.

From there we moved to some interesting stones which are called trovants and are bringing lots of curious eyes with their properties of growing up just like a plant grows over time. Not to mention about their interesting shapes which will remind you of the UFOs and other unusual things. These are also my favourite place out of the things you will see in the video.

Though, we didn't stop there and moved on to the lake I already told you about, being followed by a genuine piece of history with a fountain built as a 'thank you' to one of the biggest heroes of Romania.

Our journey came to an end at the first waterfall we've seen in 2021 which even though was turned into a very accessible place for anyone who wants to reach it being able to do it by driving very close to it, I'm happy it managed to keep its properties making you feel a special connection to it as soon as you get there. Additionally, it comes with a cool legend that way too few know about.

Here's the links to the places you will see in the video which you can read more about:

  • Grunjul de la Mânzălești (The White Rock)
  • Babele de la Ulmet (The Living Stones from Ulmet)
  • Lacul Mocearu (Mocearu Lake)
  • Fântâna lui Mihai Viteazul (Fountain of Mihai Viteazul)
  • Cascada Pruncea (Cașoca) (Pruncea Waterfall)

This also represents the 3rd episode from our yearly road trip around Romania and I can't wait to release all the episodes with the places we explored in 2021! 😁

While getting to see Mud Volcanoes in Europe is a pretty rare thing, Romania is home to over 60 such natural formation, more or less active and known.

Happily, our travelling feet dedicated 2021 to this kind of places and managed to explore quite a few from this part of the world, summing up 3 of the most active ones in the attached video.

All three locations you will see, are part of the Buzau County, starting with The Mud Volcanoes from Pâclele Mari that are also the most popular ones and where you will meet many tourists from all over the world, and ending with Fierbatorile de la Berca (Active Muddy Volcanoes in Romania) that seemed as being the most active ones but also placed in a very wild location where you will be alone with the nature.

The Mud Volcanoes from Pâclele Mari are the main place tourists are coming in the county to visit but just 2 km away from these are The Mud Volcanoes from Pâclele Mici which honestly, I enjoyed a lot more. It's true that you can't reach these with a car as it happens in the first place and perhaps we can talk about a little comfort from some of the tourists, but overall, those who truly love unique places offered by nature, will make an effort no matter what. 😃

There is also a camping base right under these so no better way to connect with the nature other than resting at the foothills of some of the most interesting parts of the county!

Anyway, as much as I would love to talk about those formations starting with how they appeared, what they are making and why are so important for the whole world, as much I have already wrote for each place in my articles that I'll leave attached down below so you can read more if interested because I don't want to make this post too long. 💚

Here's the links to the places you will see in the video which you can read more about:

  • Vulcanii Noroioși Pâclele Mari (The Mud Volcanoes from Pâclele Mari)
  • Vulcanii Noroioși Pâclele Mici (The Mud Volcanoes from Pâclele Mici)
  • Fierbatorile de la Berca (Active Muddy Volcanoes in Berca)

This also represents the 2nd episode from our yearly road trip around Romania and I can't wait to release all the episodes with the places we explored in 2021! 😁

While perhaps everyone is looking forward to the summer, I thought that it's a good moment to open up the folder with our memories from the past year when we discovered so many new cool places in Romania.

This video was supposed to come out the previous Saturday but due to being super busy and doing lots of things in a short period of time, I messed this a little writing a travel blog instead which is also going to come with a video for it in a few weeks, but until then, here's the first episode from our yearly road trip around Romania. Hope you like it! ❣️

Even though you can read more about each of the places presented in the video in the links down below, I still feel like making a short introduction, so here we go. 😃

Every year, I and my family take a road trip in our beloved home country, visiting places more or less known. However, back in 2021 we decided to start with Cheile Orzei (Orzea Gorges) which we wanted to visit since 2018 but for some reasons the access was forbidden. That's how we returned a few years later with the same mission which was a real success, yay! 😇

But as we don't want to waste too much time in a single place wanting to see as many things as possible, we moved on the next one which is the first sightseeing attraction from Buzau County where you can see plenty of things. Our first stop was at Tabăra de Sculptură Măgura (The Carving Camp from Magura) where you can discover more than 360 unique sculptures, so you are definitely going to spend some time exploring everything. 😜

Here's the links to the places you will see in the video which you can read more about:

  • Cheile Orzei (Orzea Gorges)
  • Tabăra de Sculptură Măgura (The Carving Camp from Magura)

Since it's been a while when I last played with effects in a video, I'm curious what you think about this 3,5 minutes long video which basically sums up two days spent on a journey! Oh, and don't forget this is just the first episode of quite a few more that will come out soon! 😀

I often say that history can be discovered in a lot more forms than what's being presented in schools, so that's exactly what we are going to see in today's video.

I'm sure there are a lot more options when it comes to learning more about what your country has been through, but during our weekend spent in Sighisoara, we managed to find history in monuments, towers, the architecture of the buildings, cemetery, a house which comes with lots of tools used by various guilds, an impressive collection of medieval weapons, and a lot more.

And I know that it's been a while since I last posted a video, but while we got to explore and see a lot more in Sighisoara than we expected, I assumed the best is to first write about all of these and then create a video which sums up everything without being needed to split in more episodes, so I hope the wait was worth it. 😃

Because there are a lot of places presented and their stories are not so short, I won't make this post too long and actually just link down below all the locations you'll see in the video from where you can navigate on the posts I already created and read more about each of these. Thank you for your sincere support! ❣️

  • Turnurile Cetății Sighișoara (Towers of Sighisoara) [Part 1]
  • Scara Acoperită (The Covered Stairway)
  • Biserica din Deal (The Church on the Hill)
  • Cimitirul Evanghelic al Bisericii din Deal (The Evangelical Graveyard)
  • Turnurile Cetății Sighișoara (Towers of Sighisoara) [Part 2]
  • Catedrala Sf. Iosif (St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church)
  • Turnul cu Ceas si Muzeul de Istorie (Sighișoara Clock Tower and the History Museum)
  • Cetatea Sighișoara (Sighișoara Fortress)
  • Casa Breslelor (The Guild House, Sighisoara)
  • Colectia de Arme Medievale (The Medieval Weapons Collection from Sighisoara)
  • Arborele Ginkgo Biloba din Sighisoara (The Ginkgo Biloba Tree from Sighisoara)

Sighisoara is a city that last time when we visited it was when we were kids so we didn't have too many memories from back then. That's why we repeated the experience now and made sure to have lots of memories created that will last forever in our hearts! 😀

When you start getting ready your backpack for the next journey, even though you already made a plan of what to visit that day, it's literally impossible to anticipate how everything looks in real life and if at the end of the day you will return the same person or not.

If I'm needed to make a summary what's Transylvania about and what has to offer to the tourists, I'd say that it's a huge mix of, literally, anything!

From incredible natural formations that have been there for millions of years, to both natural and artificial lakes that will amaze you with their beauty, to historical monuments that played some of the most important roles back in their times, to caves, waterfalls, mountain peaks... and a unique canyon made of... sand.

However, the video from today's post is going to cover just four of the many sightseeing attractions that will reserve their spot in your heart once are visited, so make sure you have enough time to see everything for a proper impression of what Transylvania really means.

We began that day with a short drive to a village next to the place where we are living called Cisnadioara.

Over there we first met nature that showed us a natural formation of a rock that from specific positions might look like a frog mouth - hence its name of Piatra Broaștei (Frog's Stone). This one is considered of being part of an age that ended millions of years ago and that is really important for this part of Romania.

But since we couldn't leave the village so early knowing that there is more to be seen, we decided to also stop at the Biserica fortificată de la Cisnădioara (Cisnădioara Fortress) which even though is usually called a citadel, it's basically a fortified church but which back in her times it used to have a defensive role which made it earn the title of being a fortification too.

A quite similar story we also discovered at Biserica Evanghelica Fortificata Cristian (The Fortified Church of Cristian) where we are still talking about a church built in the same period as our previous discovery, namely in the 13th century, but where its size and functions were a lot more and imposing.

Anyway, since we love being outdoors so badly, we couldn't return home before having another reconnection with the wilderness of nature where we felt like touching the wildest part of Romania when we discovered Canionul Mihăileni (Brod's Ravine) which is a canyon with huge walls of 25 meters high made entirely of sand.

That's just a little part of what Transylvania has to offer to the tourists, being filled with various legends and stories that will make you feel a little bit richer in your heart at the end of the day, but as I often say, the single thing you need for this type of journeys is the free time to discover as much as possible.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Piatra Broaștei (Frog's Stone)
  2. Biserica fortificată de la Cisnădioara (Cisnădioara Fortress)
  3. Biserica Evanghelica Fortificata Cristian (The Fortified Church of Cristian)
  4. Canionul Mihăileni (Brod's Ravine)

The trip from today's post was pretty spontaneous and there is no better proof of showing how happy we returned at the end of the day than the last few shots of the video! I love this type of short and unpremeditated trips. 😀

When I was a kid, I used to hear this question quite often: How would the perfect day would look like for you? - but after so many years since we are roaming the country from North to South, from East to West, I think I finally got the answer.

It might sound funny, but we don't realize how much we need freedom and nature in our lives until it becomes a part of our lifestyle. Don't imagine that I do this every day (even if I wish I would), but when you get to meet with nature more often than just once during the summer when everybody is taking some days off from their jobs, you will understand better my thoughts.

It's not a surprise anymore that Transylvania is full of things you could see and explore around. And it's been a while already since our travelling feet keep taking us to this region of Romania, but somehow, we always end up leaving with a huge smile on our faces and still surprised by everything we got to see during the day.

We never felt satisfied with just one sightseeing attraction that we could see on a day. We actually feel like we lost a day for nothing if we don't explore more than one place. That's how, even though the video shared today sums up 5 different locations we've seen, all of them were explored in the same day. It's true that these are quite close to each other if you are using a car to go from a place to another, but I really wish that more of my days would look like this one.

We began our journey to a hill located next to the street which might not say too much while you stare at it from the window of the car, but you will see that we can talk about some rocks that represented the bottom of the sea more than 70 million of years ago, where tens of species of molluscs got inlaid in the structure of the stones which can be noticed even nowadays. - Dealul cu Melci (The Snail Hill)

Just a few hundreds of meters away from this place, we got to walk for around 15 minutes until we reached a beautiful waterfall, which is also not enjoying the number of tourists it's worth, but where we noticed lots of natural formations that are dating since the Paleozoic age. The water has deposits of chalk in its composition, and that makes it leave a lot of travertine and calcareous formations behind, that are used by the locals to create crosses for cemetery but also to build up their houses. Yet another proof that nature is amazing and can offer the minimum necessary for a normal living. - Cascada Pișoaia (Pișoaia Waterfall)

After our hearts got completely conquered one more time by nature, we decided to hit the road to a place that we wished so badly to visit for a long while now, namely Roșia Montană ("Rosia Montana" Gold Mine from Transylvania). Over here, we got to see the roman galleries that were dug into the stones in the search for gold and silver, which are still standing still after more 2,000 years. However, the biggest surprise came when we found out that the real treasure is hidden behind the treasure everyone is seeking for (gold and silver), being able to talk about hundreds of tons of other precious materials that could change the whole world's flow if competent people knew what to do with it.

However, since we love nature so badly and wanted to finish the day still in the wilderness of the mountains, we decided to visit two more places before we return home, so the 4th stop of the day was to the beautiful stones from Ampoita where we needed a local in order to actually reach the rocks and appreciate one more time the beauty of nature. - Calcarele de la Ampoița (The limestones from Ampoita)

Even though the sun was already setting down, we decided to find the way to a lake and have some peaceful and relaxing moments, just as we like doing before we can consider a day spent right. That happened next to a place that fascinated us with its solitude, sounds and colour, where we would like to return one day. - Iezerul Ighiel (Iezer-Ighiel Lake)

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Dealul cu Melci (The Snail Hill)
  2. Cascada Pișoaia (Pișoaia Waterfall)
  3. Roșia Montană ("Rosia Montana" Gold Mine from Transylvania)
  4. Calcarele de la Ampoița (The limestones from Ampoita)
  5. Iezerul Ighiel (Iezer-Ighiel Lake)

The trip from today's post represents the answer to how a perfect day looks for me, and I do hope that we will get to taste the feeling even more often than we already do! 😀

I always considered history as being one of the major players when it comes to keep alive a country or region with everything that used to be in the past. What about you though? Do you consider this aspect being so important as I do? Hence why, despite my love for wild places, mountains and nature in general, I do like that from time to time to travel to some historical places where I know that I'll return from with a lot of new knowledge and cool information about the past of my beautiful home country.

Even though our journey began in a quite modern and new location from Romania, called I Giardini di Zoe where you will find a genuine piece of Italy brought on the lands of Romania, the story from behind is really impressive talking about an Italian who created everything by hand for his niece whom he had a particular love for.

But our journey couldn't come to an end so soon, because just 1,5 km away from Banpotoc Gardens, we found Castelul Lupilor (The Castle of the Wolves) which is dating for centuries and where it's presumed that we can talk about a haunted castle where from time to time there can be noticed the ghosts of the wolves who fought alongside the Dacians for years.

Finding a little bit more about our Dacian ancestors, we decided to continue the day in the same style by going to a fortress that was built on the remains of a Dacian settlement which is very important for the country, having an incredible story about how everything was created, named Cetatea Deva (The Fortress of Deva).

After visiting so many historical and unique places for the both the country and the whole world, we didn't let the guard any lower and made our journey come to an end by visiting Băile Termale Romane (Roman Thermal Baths) which are unique in the world and have been here for over 2 millennia.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. I Giardini Di Zoe (Banpotoc Gardens)
  2. Castelul Lupilor (The Castle of the Wolves)
  3. Cetatea Deva (The Fortress of Deva)
  4. Băile Termale Romane (Roman Thermal Baths)

We enjoyed this amazing trip after we celebrated Easter in this part of the world and that's why the places were more crowded than usual, but it was such an awesome day with lots of cool places and new information learned which I would repeat anytime! 😍

I always wondered what people actually need in order to be happy and leave behind the stress? Because lately, from what I noticed there are lots of people who opt in to spend some days in the mountain resorts out there, but without having a proper plan about it. Most likely, just spend the free time doing nothing.

Happily or not, I and my family were never like that. We always spend as little time as possible at the hotel meaning only while we are eating and sleeping, the rest of the time being used to explore the surroundings as much as we can, even if it means hiking the mountains 12 hours a day!

However, the mountain resorts from Romania are full of things and activities to enjoy, from the local sightseeing attractions to those wilder ones from the heart of the mountains.

We couldn't consider a day completed without experiencing both of them. So we began the day learning a little bit more about the place where the royal family used to spend their summers, namely, at the Peleș & Pelișor Castles from Sinaia being followed by a short hike on unmarked trails from the Bucegi Mountains where we found a very beautiful and peaceful waterfall called Cascada Valea Spumoasă.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Castelul Peleș (Peleș Castle)
  2. Castelul Pelișor (Pelișor Castle)
  3. Cascada Valea Spumoasă (Foamy Valley Waterfall)

The trip was taken in August 2020, and it represents the last part of our yearly road trip around Romania, from 2020! But what's even more amazing is that we have plenty of other locations we explored lately and that the road trip 2021 is right around the corner, so stay close! 😍

*Nature, freedom, life.

What else do you need to be happy? When everything you truly need is free and it's waiting for you.*

It's probably not a surprise anymore that we get to see our efforts being well paid only after the hardest climb, but a thing that I always appreciated at my country and especially in the Bucegi Mountains, is that no matter what path you'll follow you will be blessed with spectacular landscapes during your whole hike.

And even though our trip started quite clumsy on that day, not being able to get into Horoabei Canyon, we still took advantage of the rest of the day following the trail of the Ialomita River which we first heard about on the Monastery and Cave Ialomita that we found out it's crossing around 400 km of the country.

That was the single detail we needed to feel determined to hit the road further and even discover the origins of the river that is located on 2.000 meters altitude just where Obârşia Ialomiţei Waterfall is being formed. ❤️

As I always say, it's amazing getting into nature and explore it. But it's even more special when you discover the origins of something or some very few places that were left untouched by the people's contribution.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Mănăstirea Peștera Ialomiței ("Ialomita Cave Monastery" and the attempt to explore its surroundings)
  2. Cascada Obârşia Ialomiţei (Obârşia Ialomiţei Waterfall)

The trip was taken in August 2020, and it represents the 3rd part of the yearly road trip we take around Romania, from 2020! There's only one part left that is coming out soon and then we get back to more recent journeys we had out there! 😍

Visiting caves is one of the most genuine experiences an outdoors traveller could ever enjoy because there are very few places left on earth that haven't got the contribution of a human being. However, I always ran away from doing it until I realized that it wasn't the fear of darkness, but the feeling of being used to see lots of places that were (more or less) transformed by people.

However, when it comes to visiting caves and underground locations, I always opted for anything else I could explore instead of going deep into the heart of the mountains or earth.

I think that the biggest problem is that we are used to go to sightseeing attractions which are already overpopulated by tourists and well maintained by people or seeing the contribution of the humans, instead of exploring the real wilderness part of nature and those very few places left as they were.

Happily, my video presents both versions: visiting The Milk Cave which even though should be under renovations for a few years now, it's been left as it was created by nature and I hope more people will get to admire it this way... being followed by The Fortress Valley Cave which is considered one of the most beautiful five caves from Romania but where, of course, the human's contribution is not missing. Though, this is a happy case because there haven't been brought too many changes to the formations and the place itself, and the lighting is unique in Romania, having LED light which is bat-friendly and doesn't harm the animals which are living there.

Our journey couldn't end without bringing some colours to our eyes, so we took a slow drive on the Rasnoavei Gorges which is a very peaceful and nice place you can visit nearby the other two locations we explored. :)

--

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Peştera de Lapte (The Milk Cave)
  2. Peștera Valea Cetății (The Fortress Valley Cave from Râșnov)
  3. Cheile Râșnoavei (Rasnoavei Gorges)

The trip was taken in August 2020, and it represents the 2nd part of the yearly road trip we take around Romania, from 2020! This time a more black and white journey, with lots of darkness and natural formation instead of the greenery landscapes we are used to see, but which I promise is worth checking out! 😍

We often remember some of the most promoted places in the world, such as the pyramids from Egypt, Sagrada Família from Barcelona, The Colosseum from Rome, and so on, but what we forget is to appreciate more what our home countries have to offer, because yes, they do have a lot of things that are waiting to be discovered by people too.

And.. at the end, who said that we can see the pyramids only by visiting Egypt? 😃

We recently found out that Romania has its own pyramids. It's true that they are a little bit different than these from Egypt, but their mystery and the stories behind their name are no less interesting.

On the opposite, our journey brought us in front of a very cool waterfall from the Bucegi Mountains which has a very catchy name that seems at least inappropriate seeing the beauty of the gem offered by nature but which makes sense as soon as you find out its story too. 🙂

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Movilele de la Șona (The Pyramids of Șona)
  2. Cascada Moara Dracului (Devil's Mill Waterfall)

The trip was taken in August 2020, and it represents the first part of the yearly road trip we take around Romania, from 2020! There are lots of cool places coming out soon, and I can't wait for the road trip of 2021! 😍

We often fall in love with places that are meant to offer the best view after the hardest climb, but in reality, the best reward is when you step over the last rock of a mountain peak and realize there is nothing else where you could go higher because one more time is proved the fact that the sky is not the limit.

And while you leave back the clouds and the fog which seems like is one step behind your journey, there's nothing left but just a huge panoramic over some of the highest mountains Romania is proud of, and where you can set free your adventurous spirit.

It's true that the whole trip took us around 7 hours but it's far from our longest journey to the mountains, but quite long considering that we took it after a few months of lockdown, but if it wasn't to that direction, what better way to fill our lungs with some fresh air after so much time spent locked between 4 walls?

Anyway, the journey is not about how much time you spend on the way to the destination, but about how it makes you feel while you are going to jump from a season to another, hitting the road with the sun rays caressing your body, then slowly feeling some raindrops who want to bring some fresh touches to the adventure, being followed by some areas with snow. Yep, snow in July.

The place you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about it on here:

  1. Fereastra Zmeilor (Kite's Window)

The trip was taken in July 2020, and it represents one of our latest most serious hikes to the mountains due to the pandemic which kind of affected our training but hey, we are far from running out of places to discover together, so stay tuned! :)

As I stated in my previous posts about various discoveries from Transylvania, the single thing you need during a trip on that discretion is time. Because you can literally return over and over again and still never discover everything it has to offer.

Even though we are adventurous spirits who do enjoy outdoor explorations more than anything, back on a random day after the lockdown from March, we decided is the right moment to get some more knowledge about what our home country has been through ages ago.

And what better way to do it if not by travelling to some of the richest locations in history? Of course, our journey couldn't start just like that, so we decided to begin by exploring The Brukenthal Castle from Avrig which was also coming with a huge park, which represents the last one created in a baroque style that is still standing still since the 18th century. Over here we got to enjoy both nature and the architecture of the palace which was showing off the passage of years, but we didn't end the day right after it because we had in plan to also hit the road on the way to Făgăraș Citadel where everything seemed cleaner and well-maintained compared to our previous discovery.

The fortress offered us a bunch of feelings and emotions. From happiness to knowledge, from painful and bloody stories to very important and interesting ones, and so on. But the place that made our journey come to an end was made by the Fortified Church of Biertan where I wish we could spend a lot more time and we will return for sure. The church comes with an interesting architecture being protected by lots of powerful walls making it seem like a fortress, and there are plenty of unique elements and stories in the whole Europe and maybe the world.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Castelul Brukenthal (Brukenthal Castle from Avrig)
  2. Cetatea Făgăraș (Făgăraș Citadel)
  3. Biserica Fortificată din Biertan (Fortified Church of Biertan)

All three places presented are part of the Transylvania region and in my opinion, they represent some of the best spots where you can earn some more history knowledge about the past of Romania. :)

Transylvania is probably one of the best areas you could spend time in while you are in Romania and no matter how long your vacation is, the time will never be in your favour to discover absolutely everything it has to offer.

But what I love so much about Transylvania is that there are a bunch of things to visit and explore which are directly linked to new sightseeing attractions. So you can take a random walk to a place, but most likely your adventure won't stop there because you'll encounter lots of other markers leading to some more gems offered by nature or by the stories from the past.

Our journey began with a short drive to a castle we've discovered on the map but which we couldn't access due to different reasons but which has been fast replaced with a War Cemetery that offered us a completely different perspective about what bad times truly means and that we should appreciate more what we have until it's too late and we'll miss it.

However, our journey couldn't come to an end before we are reconnecting with nature so we hit the road one more time on the realms of Ramet Gorges which helped us taste the feeling of the adrenaline pumping in our veins one more time. Though, not too far from these gorges, there are some newer ones which have been arranged back in 2000, that are a perfect location to chill out and relax far away from people and traffic noise, called Iacobdeal Gorges

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Cimitirul De Onoare Turnu Rosu (War Cemetery)
  2. Cheile Râmețului (Ramet Gorges)
  3. Cheile Întregalde (Întregalde Gorges)

All three places presented are pretty close to each other, composing a great plan for a one day trip, and they can be found on the western side of Transylvania, Romania. Though, keep in mind that you should visit the gorges during the summer for a proper experience :)

When it comes to get to the South East side of Romania, you will reach some important lands of the country which have been part of the Jurassic Ages and which are full of history and legends but also the proofs of their existence. Though, we can't say that's all you can see as there are plenty of hidden gems which represent a unique thing not only for the country and for Europe, but also for the whole world.

That's how, along with our trips here and there around Dobrogea, we also managed to discover a 2 in 1 building which shelters both a museum and aquarium with lots of rare species and where you can learn more about the fauna and animals you can find while exploring Danube Delta. Too bad too little people know about this place because there are also frequently organized all kind of exhibitions for kids but a playroom for the little ones too. - Centrul Muzeal Ecoturistic "Delta Dunării"

The museum was just the beginning of a great day, from where we continued our journey adventuring on a forgotten path without having any markers to show that it leads somewhere, but we ended up on a 20 meters deep lake which is unique in Romania because it was formed through dynamite explosion from a quarry mine. - Lacul Iacobdeal (Iacobdeal Lake)

Our day came to an end when we reached the Jurilovca Port from where we jumped in the boat one more time and off we've gone on an island called Gura Portitei. Not only that I love wild places and running away from crowded locations, but the island is unique in Europe, being the single place on earth where Danube Delta, The Black Sea and Golovița Lake are meeting. - Gura Portitei

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Centrul Muzeal Ecoturistic "Delta Dunării" / The Aquarium from Tulcea (Danube Delta Museum)
  2. Lacul Iacobdeal (Iacobdeal Lake)
  3. Gura Portiței Island (A less known Edenic Beach in Dobrogea)

All three places presented are part of our Dobrogea Tour and they represent the last locations we visited back there. However, our adventures and journeys are far away from coming to an end, and I can't wait to show you more amazing places from my country, Romania! :)

We all have our fears and curiosities, our moments of glory and guily pleasures, but what makes a journey become full of adrenaline and really unforgettable, is by stepping away from all the things mentioned and enjoy the trip as it is supposed to, because you've got just one life and you gotta live it to the fullest.

Not for a few times, I confessed that as much I love lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and literally any sightseeing attraction which contains water, as much I am scared by water and swimming.

Well, the journey we had in 2019 proves that sometimes is really important to forget about your deepest fears in order to explore the world to the fullest and have some outstanding experiences to share with the others.

And that includes our 12 hours trip with the boat on the 2nd largest delta river from Europe called Danube Delta, which is being home for hundreds and thousands of rare animals, plants, and birds, remembering the largest colony of pelicans from the world. But the trip is not limited just to some hours spent in a boat crossing countless tiny rivers and lakes, but also by taking you to different small islands where you can eat traditional food on a floating restaurant, or by going to Letea, a different world than anything you've seen before. A tiny village where you will find around 400 locals and a number of wild horses which is 5 times bigger than this of the people who live on there.

Though, the surprises don't end there because you'll also get to discover a Salty Lake in the middle of the desert which turns our as the best treatment for many different problems and which easily can conquer (and win) against some of the most appreciated SPA resorts.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Delta Dunarii (Danube Delta)
  2. Pădurea Letea (The Drowned Forest Letea)
  3. Lacul Sărat (The Salty Lake)

All three places presented are part of a 12 hours long journey with the boat on the water which will make you discover the wildest part of Romania which not everybody got to explore it before. The trip can take around 6-7 hours but if you are lucky enough to have the best guide we also had, your journey will be way longer than that :)

We are in the 21st century where technology seems like it's gaining more and more ground in our lives. But 2020 it's also the year when we can still get to discover some places on the globe where the legends are being kept alive by the evidence that attests the existence of the Jurassic ages, and where you can simply get lost into a different era.

Pretty incredible, huh?

But keep in mind that there is no better way of earning more knowledge other than learning something new in every day of your life. And personally, I love doing it by travelling to lands which have been forgotten a long time ago but where you can still feel the smell of the history and the palpitations given by its past.

And there is no better place of doing so, other than Dobrogea - the area close to the Black Sea which is mostly known for its beaches and resorts but which has a great potential and can offer way more than that. From rocks which have been there this whole time and crossed by dinosaurs way too many times before people, to caves which are dating since the Jurassic and where have been found molars which are 100.000 years old. From bones of mammoths and dinosaurs to the largest Wind Farm from Europe and the single Medieval Fortess from this part of Romania... and many more!

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Pestera La Adam (Adam's Cave)
  2. Cheile Dobrogei (Dobrogea Gorges - Dating since the Jurassic ages)
  3. Parcul de Eoliene Fântânele-Cogealac (Dobrogea Wind Farm)
  4. Cetatea Enisala (Enisala Fortress)

All four discoveries from the video are located pretty close to each other if you have a car and personally we visited them all in a single day. Nowadays they represent one of the most important locations from Dobrogea, but yet they are very little known and explored by the tourists.

When we want some relaxing moments close to the family or loved ones, we are used to pick one of those locations from the mountains where you are away from the city noise but yet not too close to some mountain tracks that require a special effort from you and your parents. And what I think it's the most appropriate to this kind of experience, is nothing else but gorges.

You know, this mountain walks between the forest and the stones which in most of the cases lead to some waterfalls, lakes or tiny rivers, which are also the main culprit when we look back on how they appeared.

But in today's video we are not talking about that kind of journey, but actually something a little bit different, having two flooded canyons, one which is more focused on the experience itself challenging you more and more with the water flow and depth that is increased with each step made and the stones which are getting closer to you, and the other one that is directed to offer a memorable experience in a unique place with fascinating formations that make you feel like being in a natural roller coaster.

Both of the discoveries conquered a little bit more of our hearts even if we had to walk some hundreds of meters between the water which was getting colder from a minute to another, but which proven us one more time how important and spectacular nature can be, and that we are just simple players in front of its greatness.

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Cheile Crivadiei (Crivadia Gorges)
  2. Cheile Băniței (Bănița Gorges)

Both of the gorges presented in the video and my posts are part of the same county (Hunedoara), which represents a less visited area of Transylvania that has so many unique and great places worthing a visit from each one of us when we get the chance to. So make sure to add them on your list with what places to visit while you are in Romania because they are situated just 10 km away from each other! 😊

Long time since I posted a new video from my journeys, but guess what? I'm back with a new one that includes 5 different touristic attractions which even though they seem to have nothing in common, they are all located in the same county (Hunedoara) which makes them a great trip plan for one or two days spent in Transylvania if you want to discover some less known treasures of Dracula's Territory.

It's true that we got to visit these places maybe in like 3 days but that's because we had a few more on the list to visit in the same days, which are going to be shared in my following posts and which I decided to create a separate video for them, and you'll see why! 😃

So for the 33rd video of my "See The World" Series we decided to start the day by visiting a warm place even if it was the middle of the summer but which remains the same even when it's winter without the possibility of getting frozen. I'm talking about the thermal waterfall Clocota which is composed of 17 different springs and one river that are crossing the area.

But the journey doesn't stop there even if we were fascinated by the steam that transposed us into a fairy tale, and continued the trip on the way to two less beautiful locations of Transylvania - two churches where everything smells of history and painful memories, having many ruins that are dating since the 14th century. The thing which makes these locations more uncommon than the usual churches we get to see, are the murals which have their eyes removed.

A more painful story is being shared by the next stop of our journey where we reach a dam and lake that at first, they seem harmless and pretty peaceful but which represents the place where one of the biggest tragedies of the country happened a while ago.

Anyway, because I refused to have a sad ending for my travel video, I decided to add one more touristic location which brings some colour to the whole adventure with a cave that can be entirely visited and where during the weekend there are lots of spotlights and Ambiental music that will delight its visitors. 😊

The places you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about them on here:

  1. Cascada Clocota (Clocota Fall)
  2. Biserica „Adormirea Maicii Domnului” (Strei Church)
  3. Biserica „Sf. Nicolae" (Densuș Church)
  4. Barajul Gura Apelor (Gura Apelor Dam)
  5. Peștera Bolii (Bolii Cave)

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, all the 5 places shared are located in the same county and they can be easily considered a trip plan if you want to spend one or two days in the same location, being pretty close to each other and easy to be reached.
