I know this is a late post but it was a great event and too beautiful not to share! So here I am sharing this!
On November 1, the Primary Organization in our church held a Halloween activity named "Trunk 'n Treat" with a Disney theme. Our two children were part of it and we had our car trunk decorated with treats for the children too.
The kids were instructed to wear Disney costumes. And so they did.
Look at these little ones!
Before the "Trunk 'n treating" happened, they had games! Fun games! Even parents enjoyed watching them join the games and receive prizes for winning.
The Trunks
Me with my husband. We got candies for the children. I had my Minnie headband. π
This one here is Inside Out theme. This day we create another core memory for the children present.
Who can forget Wish?! I love their decorations! The balloons represent the Wishes!
This couple here had a bunch of goodies for the children!!
Minnie Mouse and the Prince here also got a lot of chocolates for the kids in costumes!
This one here is an obvious "Frozen" theme trunk! With the snowflakes, definitely, Frozen! π
I see Anna and Elsa on the packages, so I guess this one here has a touch of Frozen too! But did not have other decorations. Yet so sure there are a lot of sweets and treats!
I was not able to take a video of the children getting their treats and goodies from each of the trunks. But I tell you, they all received a lot! with their baskets but of candies! You could see their faces with wide smiles.
I am grateful to the event organizers. The children had a great time with the games and also the sweet treats.
After the children received their treats, they also had light snacks -spaghetti, burger, and juice.
All in all, it was a fun day for the kids and also for us parents. It wrapped up our Halloween activities.
Below is a video of one of the games.
Thank you for joining the fun and spending a few minutes in my blog.
Until next time!

Holidays are different for our family. We only have rare instances when we can take a holiday break together with my husband. He usually works on holidays except of course for Christmas and New Year. For the rest of the legal holidays, he reports to work.
But this year's Holy Week holidays were different. He spent it with us because the store where he works was closed for maintenance! So we went to the mountains of Cebu City to take a break from the city noise.
Gaslamp District Busay - Our First Visit
Nestled on the hills overlooking Cebu City, Gaslamp District Busay offers a serene escape from the bustling urban landscape. It was not our first time to see the place, because, in the past, we just passed by and headed to another destination. This time we intended to visit.
With its breathtaking views, delectable cuisine, and charming ambiance, it beckons travelers and locals alike to unwind and indulge in the beauty of nature.
The road to Gaslamp District is ascending and winding with beautiful views of the mountains and the places below. My husband was a bit worried about our car. He worries we might not be able to reach the place but thank God we made it safe there. Our car is an old model. Despite its oldness, it has been our buddy in all our travels here in Cebu and Negros Islands. π
After our arrival, we explored the grounds of Gaslamp District Busay. Everywhere we looked, there was beauty to behold β from the vibrant blooms adorning the pathways to the panoramic vistas of Cebu City below.
After enjoying the mountain breeze. we bought something to eat. Our stomachs were not that difficult to please, we just ordered simple foods our children liked.
We stayed for a couple of hours just chilling. It was already dark when we decided to leave the place and headed home.
Conclusion:
Our visit to Gaslamp Busay was another unforgettable experience for our family. We love to travel and visit new places together. My husband and I made a goal to create happy memories with our children while we still can before they have their own lives to take care of and will no longer stay with us, their parents.
Thank you for reading this far. If you visit Cebu City in the future, you might as well put this place on your itinerary and enjoy indulging yourself with nature.
Until our next adventure!

It is always a joy when one spends time with good friends. It was kind of a last-minute decision for our circle of friends to go out and go go-karting! I have no experience with go-karts. Since last week had several holidays, our friends opted to spend some of our free time at Kartzone Cebu with our family. It was a new experience for most of us in the group.
It was only a few days ago when we agreed to go! It was just like a spur-of-the-moment decision so to speak. Good thing we all agreed to it without much thought. Thursday came (Maundy Thursday) and we were at the venue.
We waited a couple of minutes for everyone to arrive and then we purchased our tickets for the go-karts! The rates were as follows; P475 - single seater, P500 -twin seater, and for the Premium Go Kart P850. All rates are for 8 laps.
We had our group photo taken with our head masks. Ready to ride and race.
My husband and I took the twin-seater kart. Some of our friends had twin-seaters as well with their child or partner as the passenger. I was a passenger with my husband as the driver. Our eldest daughter was also a passenger to one of our friends.
There were also many people at Kartzone on that day. So we waited for our turn on the race tracks.
waiting for our turn.
My husband enjoyed the fast speed. According to him, this is his chance to go fast speed without receiving a ticket from a traffic enforcer! π As a passenger, I was reminding him to go slow. π
He drove twice. Our youngest daughter wanted to go for a ride too.
He enjoyed the speed once again forgetting that he had a child passenger. πToo much confidence in his driving skills. π Kidding aside, they both enjoyed the ride and arrived safely at the finish line. π
Did some photo ops after. π
If you and your family want to experience go-karting, you can head to Kartzone Cebu (if you are from Cebu).
Though this is kind-of pricey outdoor activity, it is worth a try. For those who crave speed, this is your chance to satisfy the "craving." π It is also a great way to bond with family and friends.
Before we left the venue, we took another group picture and head out to eat dinner.
Thank you for reading and watching!
Until our next adventure!

Last March 15, my husband and I together with our church mates had a wonderful Karaoke night at Bad Boys WingZ at Ayala Center Cebu. Our group booked the largest Karaoke room to accommodate all of us since there were more than 30 persons who showed up for our activity.
We, Filipinos, were known for our love of Karaoke and our group was not an exception to it. Jay and I joined in almost an hour late since they started singing. Before we left home we made sure our children had their food ready and we also asked our next-door neighbor to check them once in a while while we were away.
We did not bring them with us since it was an activity for adults. A few minutes after we arrived, I also joined the singing. Those who like to sing choose their songs and input them in the reserved section while someone is singing. We took turns in checking the songbook and keyed in our songs of choice.
Aside from Karaoke, there was also a lot of food! It made the event more enjoyable. While others were eating, someone was also singing. Others also danced to the sung songs. What a joyful sight to behold!
The joyful event lasted til 10 PM. We were booked till 12 MN but everyone wanted to leave and go home. We don't want to stay that late since we have other important matters to attend to. Like in our case, our children were waiting for us at home.
To be honest, an opportunity to go out without our children is rare. Since our children are not grown-ups yet, we always tag them along whenever we go out. But as a couple, we also need times like this, just the two of us. We were grateful we were able to do so. π
Impression on the Venue
I've visited other KTVs before but I like Bad Boys Wingz KTV the most. Thumbs up to its cleanliness. Since it is a no-smoking establishment, there is no trace of cigarette smell inside. The Karaoke setup is great! Songs are up to date. The food they serve is also flavorful especially the various flavors of chicken wings. The crew was all accommodating too! Overall rating 10 out of 10! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
If you happen to be in Cebu City and would love to hang out in KTVs? Try checking Bad Boys Wingz at Ayala Center Cebu.
There is no denying that I love Karaoke! Do you love to sing too?
Thank you for reaching this far. Until next time!

It is a few more days before Christmas Day! Party here and there! As for our Relief Society Organization, we had an advance Christmas Party last November 18! So early huh? :D Our organization did not want to be caught up with other events in December so we had our party early.
The theme for our Christmas Social was "Crazy Hair Day" and we had to present a dance with the 90's tune! Oh, we had fun during the preparation and on the day of the party. We had several meetings for our dance practice. Our group wanted to be prepared for our presentation so we mastered our steps well.
On the day of the event...
Everyone where busy with their hairstyles. Other groups also have colorful costumes. As for our group, we also prepared our hair and our costumes.
We had pearly hair accessories. Paired with dangling earrings with pearls. Additional feathery headdress with lights!
Group photo before the program started!
There were games and the most awaited part was the dance presentation of different women's groups!
We had fun dancing and participating in the program. Prizes were given out to all who won the games and to all who participated. We had our lunch after. Party food! What a day full of laughter.
Below is a video of our dance.
May we all have a Merry merry Christmas whatever our current circumstances may be. We all have a reason to celebrate because the real reason for the season is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The greatest gift mankind has received.
Thank you so much for reading and watching!
Until Next time!
Happy Christmas!

It was our first time as a family to dance! Yes, First time together. Though each of us has danced with other groups this time we danced as a family.
It was months ago that the activity coordinator asked us to prepare a musical/dance number for the event last November 4. The theme for the said event was, "The Sound of Music Through the Years." It is a presentation of dance and music from the 1950s to the present.
There were several families and youth invited to present and our family was just one. During the preparation, we had a little challenge of what to present. My husband was hesitant to dance too. He was not that confident in dancing but we were able to convince him. Until we have agreed to dance to the tune of Dreamers by Jungkook. It was not difficult to find the song and dance moves. We headed to YouTube and found one and began practicing. We spent time memorizing the dance steps. Then we thought we were ready! The day of the event came.
Of course, photos can't get away in times like this. We had our pictures taken before the program started.
Our time to dance came and off we went to the dance floor! Below is the video.
We enjoyed dancing and we hope we have entertained our audience. π The presentation lasted for more than 3 minutes then we were done! A sigh of relief came. π Did you enjoy watching us dancing? π If you did, please let me know in the comments below.
The show was a success! We were all not professional performers. In our own little way, we and the rest of the performers did well in our performances. We were looking for season 2! π
Thank you for reading and watching! We had fun dancing!
Until next time!

A month ago, my husband and I were invited to be part of a surprise birthday party. It was a celebration of the life of a dear friend who touched our lives in countless ways. We were added to a secret group chat in Messenger where the surprise plans were laid. It was her children who initiated the birthday surprise.
We were instructed to keep the secret because it won't be a surprise anymore when the celebrant knows. π The venue was set and the motif of the party was also set. All of us were told to wear pink at the event.
The Birthday PartyThe venue was at the Laguna Garden Cafe, Ayala Terraces in Cebu City. Our call time was at 5 p.m. Before heading to the venue, Jay and I dropped by Metro Ayala to buy a gift for the birthday celebrant. We thought of a simple one that she could use. This woman almost got everything in life and so thinking of what to give her is a bit of a challenge. When were done with the gift, we headed straight to Laguna Garden.
Almost everyone invited was there already. Waiting for the celebrant's arrival.
Jay and I with our friends.
The entire day, she (celebrant) was with her children and sisters. Did some self-pampering and just being clueless about what was in store. It was her 60th Birthday by the way. Then dinner time came. She thought they would have a simple one with her family. One acting (from the connivances π) led to another then the door of the function hall opened with all of us singing Happy Birthday!
SourceShe was indeed surprised and was so happy! The night was full of laughter and tears of joy! The food was great too! A celebration of her 60 years of existence. There were games and heartwarming messages from her children, sisters, and friends.
We felt honored to be part of her circle. A remarkable woman, a mother, a friend, a great servant of God, and a Dentist by profession. She is a great example of a true disciple of Christ. Who serves her fellowmen beyond measure.
Who knows Mom well Game.
Her eldest son, who is a medical doctor, giving his message to his mom.
The party ended with grateful hearts. It was a very inspiring and memorable birthday celebration. It made me think to evaluate my own life. With the question, 'Am I a good influence on the people around me?" most especially to my children and husband.
Ate Merlyn, as we call her, is such a great example of goodness, generosity, and everything in between. I look up to her as a role model. Thanking her for being part of our lives.
with her after the party.
Thank you for reaching this far.
Until next time!

I don't know why but the rain can bring back memories. Do you agree? Whenever it rains, I am reminded of my childhood. Both happy and not-so-happy memories. When I was little, I don't really like it when it rains. As far as I can remember, I would always want it to stop for the reason that our house roof is dripping. π There were holes in our roof that made some portion of our house wet.
Aside from wanting it to stop, I wanted it to keep pouring too! Ironic?! Because me and my siblings love to play in the rain! We would run around our neighborhood carefree and splashing in muddy puddles. Calling also our friends to join us and have a great time while the rain's pouring. Great memories from my childhood. Except for the rain that is brought by a tropical storm we are advised to stay indoors for safety.
Now that I have my own family, my children also have fond memories of the rain. My husband and I would allow them to play in the rain! Their daddy will also join them and play.
Below is a photo and the video I took while they were having a great time!Sometimes these days I don't like rain especially when it is school days. It is challenging for me as a parent when sending and getting our children from school. The roads in our area got easily flooded. But most of the time when it is raining hard, we just decide to not let our children go to school. To stay safe and warm.
While at home, I will prepare our favorite champorado or Macaroni soup! Our children love these two! If no ingredients are available in our pantry, we simply have our hot chocolate like Milo for my children and Tableya for me.
What about you? What memories do you have of rain? I hope you had great memories with it too!
I'm inviting @dpmeriam and @lytha to join this contest too! You can check the contest post here.
Thank you for reaching this far.
Until next time!

βIn family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time.β - Dieter F. Uchtdorf
It is always a joy when family and friends gather and spend time with each other. It was last month that my family and some friends planned to have an overnight stay at one of the resorts in the island of Mactan, Cebu, which is the Costabella Tropical Beach Resort.
Costabella is a 156-room contemporary Filipino-Spanish beachfront resort with a private white sand beach, refreshing outdoor pools, landscaped tropical gardens, restaurant and bars, and extensive leisure facilities and spa where guests may choose to do as much or as little as they wish. source
The plan was an overnight stay at the resort. We checked in June 16 and checked out June 17 before lunch time.
Day 1 We arrived at the place before lunch time. Our rooms were not yet ready for check in, so our group opted to have lunch at the resort's restaurant, La Marina.
This is the whole gang! Family and Friends!
The food was delicious. Sorry I was not able to take photos of the food we ate. But it suffice to say that it was great! We were filled and satisfied. Aside from the sumptuous meal, the service was also excellent!
After lunch, the kids already wanted to get into the pool! It was also just right in time that our rooms were ready and we were able to change to our swimming outfits. But before jumping into the waters, I took a photo of my children and husband at the hotel's Filipino - Spanish inspired living room.
Swimming Time!
We started swimming after lunch. Enjoyed the waters for I think almost 4 hours or so. The water is just so irressitable especially to the children. We also wanted to swim at the beach but it was low tide so no sea water. :D
Instead, the children saw some star fishes. They enjoyed seeing real ones!
Day 2 I wanted to not get up early and just stay in bed, but I thought, I will miss the early sunshine at the beach! My husband woke our children up then we headed to the beach. Good morning sunshine!
After checking the beach and got some sun, we went back to the bicyle station where guests can use it for an hour.
We let our children take turns and my husband and I did also some rounds. It served as an early exercise. :D Our girls love biking. They have individual bikes at home too!
When we were done with the bikes, we headed to the hotel's restaurant for our breakfast. They were various foods to choose from. It is up to us to what to choose. There were salads, bread, pancakes, fruits, hot drinks and many more.
Again we were filled and statisfied with their food. After a little chit chat with the group, it was time to swim again! This time not only at the pool but also at the beach! Yes! it's high tide!
Everyone enjoyed the sea water!
The resort also allows their guests to use the kayak for free. The picture below is our eldest daughter and my husband.
Now it is time to say goodbye. Check out time was 12noon. We would love to stay one more day but our time in the resort is up.
The overall experience was superb. From their service, the hotel amenities to the food, just excellent!
If you are looking for a resort to stay while in Cebu, I highly recommend Costabella!
Thank you for reaching this far and watching.
Until next time!

Hello Music lovers of Hive!
It's been quite a while that I have not participated on the weekly Hive Open Mic. But I am grateful I am back now. I was scanning through the entries for this week's theme In love with Nature and Mother Earth., and everyone did a great job. I love the theme. I have always love nature and the feeling I get everytime I have close encounter with the wonderful creations all around me.
It passes all my understanding how every element works just perfect. In the morning when I send our children to school, I always look up the sky and give thanks for another day. The sun, the clouds, the air that we breathe indicates we are truly love by the One who created all of these we are enjoying. It is our solemn duty to protect and preserve it.
So I taught of singing this song today, Colors of the Wind by Vanessa Williams. This song serves as a reminder that that we don't own this Earth we lived in. We must learn to respect and co-exist with every living thing there in. I love this song from the movie, Pocahontas.
Here is the lyrics:
Colors of the Wind
source
*You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name*
*You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew*
*Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon,
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?*
*Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun sweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth*
*The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends*
*How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know*
*And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper-skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind*
*You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind*
Loving the lyrics of this song. Thank you for listening! Thank you @wizj for this theme.
Until next time!

One of the reasons why we came to visit Negros Oriental was the second anniversary of my sister's yoga studio, which is situated in Dumaguete City. It was her goal to start her own after she resigned from her work as a flight attendant in 2018.
She's been practicing yoga for years now and she is a certified ashtanga yoga teacher. She has spent much for her teacher's training and certification.
It was 2 years ago that she officially opened her very own yoga studio.
**The Preparation
**
A month or so ago, she requested me to create a invitation for the second year celebration of her studio. April 22, 2023 was the date. For the food, it was potluck. Her students can bring any food they like to share with everyone in the event.
The original plan was to start it with a Ashtanga Yoga class then lunch afterwards. Many have pledged to bring various kinds of provisions. From fruits to desserts and other dishes.
**The Celebration
**
It was a very simple celebration. The original plan to have a free yoga class first was cancelled. Early in the morning of the day of the celebration, something important came up that she needed to cancel the class and proceed directly with lunch and a little giveaway.
There was a lot of food! Everyone's belly was filled and we even got to take home some.
Despite the cancellation of the free class many attended the celebration and took part of this significant event.
I am also a student here, though I attended classes virtually most of the time because I live far away from Dumaguete. But with this important milestone, it was an honor to be present physically and witness it in person.
If you happen to be in Dumaguete City and you are yoga practitioner or just want to try out yoga, you may visit the shala or message them here.
It has been two wonderful years of spreading good vibes and wellness. Praying for more years to celebrate and more lives to be influenced for good.
Thank you for reading and watching!
Until next time!
Namaste!

My family loves to travel and go to places. Last September 10, we had the opportunity once again to go for a short road trip and swimming with church friends to Holiday Pools in Busay Cebu City. The said place is located at the mountain side of the city. It is more or less 20 kilometers away from our home. I took this video on our way, on the venue and on our way back home.
Before the said date, our children were really excited to go swimming. I don't know what's with the water that children loves to play with it, right? May it be in a pool, sea, river or even the rain! :D
Anyway, so the day came and we were off to Busay! This video just showed the places on our way. From our home, to the next barangay, Cebu I.T. Park and the road to Busay! There was no heavy traffic on that day because it was Saturday.
Took a selfie with my husband while watching the kids swimming.
We had fun swimming and eating of course! the place had several pools and a water slide which I only try once! :D My children and my husband got countless rounds on the slide. The sun was shining so bright too but the children didn't mind. After swimming, sunburned!!
view from the top.
SUNBURNED!!
We arrived at the venue around 8 in the morning and went home at 4 in the afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the activity! Wewent home tired and sunburned. :D
Thank you for watching! My apologies, the video language is a mix of English and our own dialect, Cebuano. It is kind of a long video but if got the patience to watch it till the end, come ride with us to Busay Holiday Pools!
Until next time!

Hello Hivers!!
First of all, please excuse my bare face. No make up. :D This is what I've got after being away for 2 months. LOL Got so busy with a lot of things. But I am here now again posting and sharing to you a song cover entitled "Somewhere Down the Road." an orignal song by Barry Manilow.
This week's challenge is Karaoke Time which is one of my favorite thing to do! Sing! So Here I am with my song, Though according to justinparke it is not required to sing. :D Sang this song using the Starmaker App in my mobile phone. We also have set up a sound system with a microphone here in our home connected to the internet so that we will just choose a song to sir from YouTube. But I will not be showing that, instead I have this actual singing.
It is very true that we Asians love Karoake! or Videoke especially here in our country Philippines! You will be surprise everyone loves to sing even though at times the singing is out of tune. LOL
I hope I gave justice to the song with my rendition. This is my entry for this weeks challenge of the Asean Hive Community.
Until next time!

Last July 26, 2022, I was invited to speak to the youth of our church about "How to Manage the use of Social Media?'
There were 200+ of them and the group was divided into three and I've got to deliver the same message three times 30 minutes for each session. It was a great experienced to be with the young ones and be able to impart some knowledge and insights to their young minds.
You might wonder, what does this speaking engagement got to do with the title of this post?? LOL Well, the venue of the said event was in Cordova, Cebu. We live in Cebu City (mainland). On our way to the venue, we took the first Cebu-Mactan Bridge. The Municipality of Cordova is located on a separate Island in the southern part of the Mactan Island. Taking the first bridge meant that we need to pass by Lapu-lapu City then to Cordova.
After the event, we took the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway back to Cebu City. It was our first time to pass by that route. As they say, There is always the first time. And so to make the most out of the experience, I took a video and created this vlog. My apology, the language we use in the video is Filipino and just a little English. We paid 90 pesos for the toll fee and of we go! The view was breathtaking and the weather during this ride was really great! I just hope you enjoyed the ride with us.
A little Info about CCLEX
The CebuβCordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), also known as the CebuβCordova Bridge, is the the third bridge that connects mainland Cebu and Mactan Island. It spans 8.5 kilometers making it the longest bridge in the entire Philippines.
Our family had an amazing ride at the Third Bridge as it it commonly known. Great bridge architecture and engineering! If you are from Cebu or you have to travel to Cebu, I recommend to take this route.
Thank you for reading and watching!
Until next time!

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Here I am again for this week's entry. I decided to sing "I Turn to You" by Christina Aguilera. She's one of my favorite singers. I found this song fitting to this week's theme, " A Better world for all". I can say, it will always a better world when you have someone you can turn to whenever your sad or happy. Being able to get a friend, a family or someone's help in times of trouble means a lot.
The world will be a better place when we care for each other no matter what our circumstances in life is. When we have someone who inspires us to be better each day and to do good despite the odds. It is comforting to know that you have a friend who will always be there no matter what.
Below is the lyrics of the song. I just hope I you like my rendition of it.
"I Turn To You"
source
*When I'm lost in the rain
In your eyes I know I'll find the light to light my way
When I'm scared, losing ground
When my world is going crazy
You can turn it all around*
*And when I'm down you're there pushing me to the top
You're always there giving me all you've got*
*For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm
I turn to you*
*For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you*
*When I lose the will to win
I just reach for you and I can reach the sky again
I can do anything
'Cause your love is so amazing
'Cause your love inspires me*
*And when I need a friend
You're always on my side
Giving me faith
Taking me through the night*
*For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm
I turn to you*
*For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
I turn to you*
*For the arms to be my shelter through all the rain
For truth that will never change
For someone to lean on*
*For a heart I can rely on through anything
For that one who
I can run to*
*For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm
I turn to you*
*For the strength to be strong
For the will to carry on
For everything you do
For everything that's true
For everything you do
For everything that's true
I turn to you*
Thank you for listening. I hope we all have a family, a friend or someone we can always turn to when we needed a shoulder to cry on, a motivation or just simply someone who celebrates with us for every simple wins in life.
Until next time!

Met

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Here I am again for this week's entry. Emotion is a great theme. And there are a lot of kind of emotions.
So I thought, I will sing to you a song that expresses one of the best feelings and emotions in the world,
that is LOVE.
Love moves in a Mysterious way is an original song by Julia Fordham, British Singer, 1991.
There have been a lot of revival of it. This song is one of my personal favorites.
True enough, love moves in a mysterious way. But the emotion it brings to the person
in love is just so amazing.
Here is the lyrics of the song:
Love Moves In Mysterious Ways
source
*Who'd have thought this is how the pieces fit
You and I shouldn't even try making sense of it
I forgot how we ever came this far
I believe we had reasons but I don't know what they are
Don't blame it on my heart, oh*
*Love moves in mysterious ways
It's always so surprising
When love appears over the horizon
I'll love you for the rest of my days*
*But still it's a mystery
How you ever came to me
Which only proves
Love moves in mysterious ways
Heaven knows love is just a chance we take
We make plans but then love demands a leap of faith
So hold me close and never never let me go
'Cause even though we think we know which way the river flows
That's not the way love goes, no*
*Love moves in mysterious ways
It's always so surprising
When love appears over the horizon
I'll love you for the rest of my days*
*Like the ticking of a clock two hearts beat as one
But I'll never understand the way it's done, oh*
*Love moves in mysterious ways
It's always so surprising
When love appears over the horizon
I'll love you for the rest of my days*
Love moves...in mysterious ways...
I hope you like my singing! Until next time!
Love,
Met

Hello Music lovers of Hive!
How are you all? Another week, another theme! Sharing to you my entry for this week.
Singing to you again Colors of the Wind by Vanessa Williams. I find this song fitting for this week's theme.
Sometimes we judge other people because of how they look like. And sometimes we think we are
better than others because we thought we know well.
Let us learn to treat each other with love, kindness and respect. After all we are all human beings. Let's us try to live
harmoniously with other people even if we don't agree on a lot of things. This world of ours will be a peaceful
place if we radiate respect to everyone around us.
This is the lyrics of the song:
Thank you for listenig. I hope you like it!
Until next time!

Met

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
It's been a while that I have not participated in the weekly Hive Open Mic. I got busy with other important things so I've been absent for quite a while. But that is the past now, I am now here for my entry for week 118 with the theme Love hurts.
Love really hurts especially when the person you love does not love you back. Just like this song "Insensitive" by Jann Arden. You know when someone is just so insensitive or past-feeling of how you feel towards him/her. It is one of the worst feeling in the world. Just being abandoned emotionally by someone you love so dearly.
But then again, things like this happens to one or another. We never dictate someone to love us back. Love should be given voluntarily or freely. Hurt is but part of the process of finding true love. Lucky are those who find love and never experience pain.
So Here goes the lyrics of the song:
Insensitive
source
*How do you cool your lips, after a summer's kiss?
How do you rid the sweat, after the body bliss?
How do you turn your eyes, from the romantic glare?
How do you block the sound of a voice
You'd know anywhere?*
*Oh, I really should've known
By the time you drove me home
By the vagueness in your eyes, your casual goodbyes
By the chill in your embrace
The expression on your face that told me
Maybe you might have some advice to give
On how to be insensitive
Insensitive
Insensitive*
*How do you numb your skin, after the warmest touch?
How do you slow your blood, after the body rush?
How do you free your soul, after you've found a friend?
How do you teach your heart it's a crime to fall in love again?*
*Oh, you probably won't remember me
It's probably ancient history
I'm one of the chosen few
Who went ahead and fell for you
I'm out of vogue, I'm out of touch
I fell too fast, I feel too much
I thought that you might have some advice to give
On how to be insensitive*
*Oh, I really should've known
By the time you drove me home
By the vagueness in your eyes, your casual goodbyes
By the chill in your embrace
The expression on your face that told me
Maybe you might have some advice to give
On how to be insensitive*
I hope you like my rendition of this song. Until next time!

Hello Everyone!
How are you all? Its been two weeks that I wasn't able to have my entry. I got
so busy with other things these past weeks. But here I am now once again for my
participation of this week's theme, MORE THAN WORDS. Just so timely there
is this popular song from the group Extreme entitled "More Than Words." This song
is actually one of my personal favorites.
The lyrics of this song just says it all. Show someone you love by your actions
not just by saying the words I love you. As the saying goes, "Action speaks louder than
words."
So let's make sure we show our love to our dear ones both in words and in actions. They
will feel we are sincere with what we say when they also see with our works.
Here is the Lyrics of the song:
More Than Words
source
*Saying "I love you"
Is not the words
I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say
But if you only knew*
*How easy
It would be to
Show me how you feel
More than words
Is all you have to do
To make it real
Then you wouldn't
Have to say
That you love me
Cause I'd already know*
*What would you do?
If my heart
Was torn in two
More than words
To show you feel
That your love
For me is real
What would you say
If I took
Those words away
Then you couldn't
Make things new,
Just by saying
"I love you"
More than words,
More than words*
*Now that I've tried to
Talk to you
And make you understand
All you have to do
Is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands*
*And touch me
Hold me close
Don't ever let me go
More than words
Is all I ever
Needed you to show
Then you wouldn't
Have to say
That you love me
Cause I'd already know*
*What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying I love you*
*La di da, da di da, di dai dai da
More than words*
*La di da, da di da, di dai dai da
More than words*
La di dai, dai dai, di dai dai da
La la di da da da
*La di dai dai da
La la da da
More than words*
*Oooh uuuuh uuuh
Uuh*
More than words
Thank you for listening! I hope you like my rendition. I hope that we all show our love
through our actions not just words.
Until next time!

Met

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Singing to you today another song for this week's theme of Musical Embrace. I choose "Thank You for the Music" by ABBA. I think this song fits this weeks theme perfectly. I personally I am grateful for music. I have found my way to express myelf through it. Its lyrics holds true. I am grateful for the joy it brings to my life and for the people I have shared my talent with.
For as far as I can remember, I have been singing since I was in grade school. I've mentioned it here in some of my blogs that I used to join children's choir, sayawit (its a combination of Sayaw (dance) and Awit (sing) and have been singing in karaokes and videokes. Then eventually adult choir at church. I am grateful I also found this community where I can sing with music minded people alike. Oh I just love to sing my heart out!
My hope is that you also enjoy hearing me sing here. :) I am not a professional singer, I just love to sing!
Here is the lyrics of the song:
Thank You For The Music
source
*I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore
If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before
But I have a talent, a wonderful thing
'Cause everyone listens when I start to sing
I'm so grateful and proud
All I want is to sing it out loud*
*So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me*
*Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk
She says I began to sing long before I could talk
And I've often wondered, how did it all start?
Who found out that nothing can capture a heart
Like a melody can?
Well, whoever it was, I'm a fan*
*So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me*
*I've been so lucky, I am the girl with golden hair
I wanna sing it out to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a chance!*
*Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me*
*So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me*
Thank you for listening! and thank you for your continued support!
Until Next time!

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Another week, another opportunity to share a song here in our community. Sharing to you an original song by David Pomeranz entitled, "Got to Believe in Magic". This song got so popular when I was in my high school. That was years ago but I admit, I love the lyrics of this song. It is really magic how love finds its way to someone's heart. Before you know it, you are already in love. And so We Got to believe in Magic! :)
This song goes out to those who are in love and who is still looking for someone to love! :)
By the way I sang the version of a female Filipino Singer name Juris. She made a revival of this song.
Here is the lyrics:
"Got To Believe In Magic"
source
*Take me to your heart
Show me where to start
Let me play the part of your first love
All the stars are right
Every wish is ours tonight, my love*
*Pity those who wait
Trust in love to faith
Finding out too late that they've lost it
Never letting go
They will never know the ways of love*
*Got to believe in magic
Tell me how two people find each other
In a world that's full of strangers
You've got to believe in magic
Something stronger than the moon above
Cause it's magic when two people fall in love*
*I may never know
Why I need you so
All I need to know is this feeling
Handle it with care
We were born to share this dream, my love*
*Got to believe in magic
Tell me how two people find each other
In a world that's full of strangers
You've got to believe in magic
Something stronger than the moon above
Cause it's magic when two people fall in love...*
*Oh, you've got to believe in magic
Tell me how two people find each other
In a world that's full of strangers
You've got to believe in magic
Something stronger than the moon above
Cause it's magic when two people fall in love...*
*In a world that's full of strangers
You've got to believe in magic
Something stronger than the moon above*
*Cause it's magic when two people fall...
Magic when two people fall...
Magic when two people fall in love...*
Thank you for listening! I hope you like my rendition of this song.
Until next time! Take care!

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Here I am again for my entry for this week's theme "Undisclosed Words".
My thoughts brought me to the idea of undeclared love for someone. With
this in mind, I decided to sing this song entitled Friend of Mine by Odette Quesada.
This is a story of a girl who's been hiding her feelings for her friend whom she
had known for so long. She became the crying shoulder of this male friend
whenever he is heartbroken. And it makes her really sad every time. She's
been keeping to herself the love she had for her friend who seems, (to me)
insensitive to her feelings.
Then I thought, why not tell him how she feels? :D She is scared maybe when
he finds out she will loose his friendship. But again who knows? One will
never know the answer unless he or she ask for it.
Well, this is what the song is about. I hope you like my rendition.
Here is the lyrics:
FRIEND OF MINE
source
*I've known you for so long
You are a friend of mine
But is this all we'd ever be?
I've loved you ever since
You are a friend of mine
And babe is this all we ever could be?
You tell me things I've never known
I've shown you love you've never shown
But then again, when you cry
I'm always at your side
You tell me 'bout the love you've had
I listen very eagerly
But deep inside you'll never see
This feeling of emptiness
It makes me feel sad
But then again I'm glad
I've known you all my life
You are a friend of mine
I know this is how it's gonna be
I've loved you then and I love you still
You're a friend of mine
Now, I know friends are all we ever could be
You tell me things I've never known
I've shown you love you've never shown
But then again, when you cry
I'm always at your side
You tell me 'bout the love you've had
I listen very eagerly
But deep inside you'll never see
This feeling of emptiness
It makes me feel sad
But then again
Then again
Then again I'm glad*
Thank you for listening! Until next time!!

Met

Hello Music lovers of Hive!
Another week another theme. This song here so fits this week's theme, Brave Mind. A Million Dreams is from the movie, The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman. Hugh takes the role of P.T. Barnum who was very determined and courageous to pursue his dreams.
The lyrics of this song says it all. He was so brave that despite the odds he encountered, it did not stop him to find his success.
Here is the lyrics:
A MILLION DREAMS
SOURCE
*I close my eyes and I can see
A world that's waiting up for me
That I call my own
Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like home*
*They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design*
*'Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make*
*There's a house we can build
Every room inside is filled
With things from far away
The special things I compile
Each one there to make you smile
On a rainy day*
*They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say we've lost our minds
I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy
Run away to a world that we design*
*Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make*
*However big, however small
Let me be part of it all
Share your dreams with me
You may be right, you may be wrong
But say that you'll bring me along
To the world you see
To the world I close my eyes to see
I close my eyes to see*
*Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
A million dreams, a million dreams
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make*
For the world we're gonna make
Thank you for listening! until next time!

Hi Music Lovers of Hive!
This week I was really searching for a song that would fit the theme Bicyle. I found some but I was a bit frustrated because I don't know how to sing it. So I thought, maybe I just let this week pass by not having a song entry.
But then again I thought, I'll sing and share it to all of you anyway. My apologies for not sticking to the theme.
. "Remember Me This Way" is an original by Jordan Hill. A soundtrack from Casper., a comedy famiily fantasy movie. Starring Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman. This song is about friendship.
Here is the lyrics:
REMEMBER ME THIS WAY
source
*Every now and then
We find a special friend
Who never lets us down
Who understands it all
Reaches out each time you fall
You're the best friend that I've found*
*I know you can't stay
A part of you will never ever go away
Your heart will stay*
*I'll make a wish for you
And hope it will come true
That life would just be kind
To such a gentle mind
If you lose your way
Think back on yesterday
Remember me this way
Remember me this way*
*I don't need eyes to see
The love you bring to me
No matter where I go
And I know that you'll be there
Forever more a part of me, you're everywhere
I'll always care*
*And I'll be right behind your shoulder watching you
I'll be standing by your side and all you do
And I won't ever leave
As long as you believe
You just believe*
*I'll make a wish for you
And hope it will come true
That life would just be kind
To such a gentle mind
If you lose your way
Think back on yesterday
Remember me this way
Remember me this way*
Thank you for listening! Until next time!
Take care!

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!!
Here I am again for my entry this week. Singing to you "Bluer than Blue". An original by Michael Johnson. But I sang the lady version of it. This is kind of a sad song. But I still think (I think, :D) this fits the theme for this week which is Colorful.
Life would be bluer than blue when someone you loved just left you. Colors got significant meanings in our lives. We can associate our feelings to colors. Just like this song here, feeling so blue and sad. Eventually colors will change when sadness will be overcome by happiness. Brighter and lighter colors will replace it.
Here goes its lyrics:
BLUER THAN BLUE
SOURCE
*After you go
I can catch up on my readin'
After you go
I'll have a lot more time for sleepin'
And when you're gone looks like things
Are gonna be a lot easier
Life will be a breeze you know
I really should be glad*
*But I'm bluer than blue
Sadder than sad*
*[Chorus]
You're the only light
This empty room has ever had
Life without you is gonna be
Bluer than blue*
*After you go
I'll have a lot more room in my closet
After you go
I'll stay out all night long if I feel like it
And when you're gone
I can run through the house screamin'
And no one will ever hear me
I really should be glad*
[Chorus]
*I don't have to miss no TV shows
I can start my whole life over
Change the numbers on my telephone
But the nights will sure be colder*
[Chorus]
*Bluer than blue,
Bluer than blue*
Thank you for listening! I hope you like my singing. :D
Until next time!

Each family has its unique way of preparing food for the family. We can always have our own versions of every recipe. Innovate some and revise others.
This one here is our version of Creamy Cheesy Pasta. Days ago, our friendly neighbor gave us some shell shape pasta. She said she is just sharing to us the blessings and goodies she received from her daughter abroad. Some chocolates and a 1 kg peanut butter was with it. Of course we were grateful.
And so my husband and I thought of cooking a recipe out of that pasta. My husband and I by the way are partners in the kitchen too. He also loves to cook. We decided to make a Creamy Cheesy Pasta using the shell-shape pasta we have on hand.
Here goes the ingredients:
*600 grams pasta
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp salt*
*Butter
minced garlic
sliced onions
1 can beef loaf
2 jumbo size cheesedogs (sliced into small pieces)
400g spaghetti sauce
1/4 tsp ground pepper
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
cheese*
For the procedure:
This is one delicious pasta! Our children loved it We loved it! At least for us it is. LOL. This was our dinner days ago.
I hope you like this recipe too! Let me know what you think in the comments.
Thank you for watching! Until next time!

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!!
How are you today? Here I am again for my entry for this week's theme Automatic Guitar. I've chosen to sing "What's Up?" by the 4 Non Blondes.
I believe this song fits this week's theme. The guitar is leading it's accompaniment. My apologies, I did not hit some of the high notes. But I
hope I was still able to deliver it nicely. :)
Here's the lyrics:
"What's Up?"
source
*25 years and my life is still
Tryin' to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination*
*I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means*
*And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar*
*And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
"What's going on?"*
*And I say, hey-ey-ey
Hey-ey-ey
I said "Hey, a-what's going on?"
And I say, hey-ey-ey
Hey-ey-ey
I said "Hey, a-what's going on?"*
*Ooh, ooh
Ooh
Ooh, uh huh
Ooh, ooh
Ooh
Ooh, uh huh*
*And I try
Oh my God, do I try
I try all the time
In this institution*
*And I pray
Oh my God, do I pray
I pray every single day
For revolution*
*And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out, what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar*
*And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
"What's going on?"*
*And I say, hey-ey-ey
Hey-ey-ey
I said "Hey, what's going on?"
And I say, hey-ey-ey
Hey-ey-ey
I said "Hey, a-what's going on?"
And I say, hey-ey-ey
(Wake in the morning and step outside)
Hey-ey-ey
(Take a deep breath and I get real high)
(And I scream)
I said "Hey, a-what's going on?"
And I say, hey-ey-ey
(Wake in the morning and step outside)
Hey-ey, yeah yeah yeah
(Take a deep breath and I get real high)
(And I scream)
I said "Hey, a-what's going on?"*
*Ooh, ooh
Ooh
Ooh, uh huh*
*25 years and my life is still
Tryin' to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination, mmm*

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Here I am again for my participation for this week's theme, Survival. I'll Never
Get Over You Getting Over Me is an original by Expose. I find this song fitting
for this week's theme because it is not easy surviving after a painful break up.
Moving on takes a lot of courage and motivation.
Being not able to get over and move on after being brokenhearted is the
message of the song. This situation is very difficult. Some hearts don't survive.
Here is the lyrics of the song:
I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me
source
*I hear you're taking the town again
Having a good time
With all your good time friends
I don't think that you think of me
You're on your own now
And I'm alone and free*
*I know that I should get on with my life
But a life lived without you could never be right*
*As long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you getting over me*
*I try to smile so the hurt won't show
Tell everybody that I was glad to see you go
But the tears just won't go away (won't go away)
Loneliness found me, looks like it's here to stay*
*I know that I ought to find someone new
But all I find is myself always thinking of you*
*As long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you getting over me*
*Oh, no matter what I do
Each night's a lifetime to live through
I can't go on like this (I need your touch)
You're the only one I ever loved, oh*
*And as long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you getting over me
I'll never get over you getting over
Never get over you... getting over*
Never get over you getting over me
Thank you for listening!
Until next time!

Hello Foodies!!
Being a mom means being creative specially when it comes to food. Often times it is a challenge to make our children eat veggies. So we need to create recipes that they will like to eat. Just like this cabbage recipe.
Here are the ingredients:
Half of a medium size cabbage
3 eggs
Garlic
Onions
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp all purpose flour
Cooking oil
For the procedure:
Best serve with catsup or in my case I love it paired with sweet chili sauce. π
This is a simple recipe made with simple ingredients. This is one of my best seller at home. At least for my children. π By the way I call this recipe, Tortang Repolyo.
I hope you like it too!!
until next time!

hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Another a week, another theme! Touching souls a great theme by @digitalopus.
For this week, I sang a song from Barry Manilow entitled SOMEWHERE DOWN THE ROAD.
I remember singing this song when I was in grade school. My dad is an avid fan of Barry Manilow. I remember we used to have a full album in karaoke. Videoke was not a thing before. Only minus ones ( only accompaniment, no vocals). All of us in the family became very familiar with the his songs.
This song for me fits this week's theme. Two lovers going on different ways but the other one is hopeful that one day their roads will cross again and both were meant for each other. Touching each of their souls with hopes that they belong to each other.
Here is the Lyrics:
Somewhere Down The Road
Source
*We had the right love
At the wrong time
Guess I always knew inside
I wouldn't have you for a long time
Those dreams of yours
Are shining on distant shores
And if they're calling you away
I have no right to make you stay*
*But somewhere down the road
Our roads are gonna cross again
It doesn't really matter when
But somewhere down the road
I know that heart of yours
Will come to see
That you belong with me*
*Sometimes goodbyes are not forever
It doesn't matter if you're gone
I still believe in us together
I understand more than you think I can
You have to go out on your own
So you can find your way back home
And somewhere down the road
Our roads are gonna cross again
It doesn't really matter where*
*But somewhere down the road
I know that heart of yours
Will come to see
That you belong with me*
*Letting go is just another way to say
I'll always love you so
We had the right love at the wrong time
Maybe we've only just begun
Maybe the best is yet to come*
*Cause somewhere down the road
Our roads are gonna cross again
It doesn't really matter where*
*But somewhere down the road
I know that heart of yours
Will come to see
That you belong with me*
Thank you for listening! I hope you like my rendition of this song.
until next time!

When we were there in Luzon last December, we had bunch of time to visit places. One place that we visited was the Rise and Rebuild Foundation in Lucban, Quezon. It was just an hour drive from my in-laws place.
If you may notice, I had a post about the Rise and Rebuild foundation here in Cebu. They happened to open another one in Lucban. The farm manager there is my former colleague so I set a schedule for our family to visit the farm. It is still a newly opened farm for the said foundation. As you can see on the video, not so much plants yet and they are still building some infrastructures in the area like the green house.
The mission of the foundation is to feed malnourished children in the surrounding community. And of course provide jobs.
On our visit to the farm, we also brought along with us my in-laws. My husband's parents and brothers. Our children, as always, enjoyed the trip. They enjoy exploring new places and meeting new friends.
We had our lunch there and we were able to bring home fresh vegetables. How nice is that? :)
By the way, sorry for the shaky video. :D
Thank you for watching! Until next time!

Met

Hello Everyone!
How are you all? It's been weeks that I have not joined the weekly #openmic here in Hive. My family and I are still on our vacation here in my husband's province. But days from now we will be going back to our home in Cebu.
It is my opportunity now to share to you this song. This is specially dedicated to my one and only love, my husband, Arjay. We consider this song as our theme song. Bless the Broken Road by the Rascal Flats. So loved the message of the song. How God bless the road of heartaches or the broken road as the lyric goes.
Before I met my husband, I've been through heartaches. His coming into my life was just so timely, It is my belief that true love comes in God's time. I am eternally grateful to my husband and the joy and happiness he brought into my life. Words cannot express my gratitude and love for him. He is truly the love of my life.
We celebrated our 11 years of marriage last December 28, 2021. I made a photocollage of us visiting the same place after 11 years.
Both photos were taken at the Caliraya Lake, Laguna Philipines. 2010 we were not married yet. 2022, 11 years married. :)
Here is the lyrics of the song:
Bless The Broken Road
by Rascal Flatts source
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
(Yes He did)
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Thank you for listening!
Until Next time!

Hello Music Lovers of Hive!
Here I am again for another song cover as an entry for Hive Open Mic Week 87.
With this week's theme Different Thoughts. This song right here by the Carpenters,
entitled I Need To Be In Love fits to this week's theme. Sometimes we think about
falling In love differently. Expecting perfection when in fact we can never find perfection
in this imperfect world. Then later realized it is very hard to find.
Here goes the Lyrics:
I Need To Be In Love
source
The hardest thing I've ever done is keep believing
There's someone in this crazy world for me
The way that people come and go through temporary lives
My chance could come and I might never know
I used to say "No promises, let's keep it simple"
But freedom only helps you say goodbye
It took a while for me to learn that nothing comes for free
The price I paid is high enough for me
I know I need to be in love
I know I've wasted too much time
I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world
And fool enough to think that's what I'll find
So here I am with pockets full of good intentions
But none of them will comfort me tonight
I'm wide awake at 4 a.m. without a friend in sight
I'm hanging on a hope but I'm all right
I know I need to be in love
I know I've wasted too much time
I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world
And fool enough to think that's what I'll find
I know I need to be in love
I know I've wasted too much time
I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world
And fool enough to think that's what I'll find
Thank you for listening. I hope you like my rendition of this song.
Until next time! Take Care!

Hello Everyone!
How are you all? It's me @me2selah once again for Hive Open Mic week 86.
With Joy to the World theme. I have here my 9-year old daughter, Jayme,
accompanying me on the keyboard. She's been taking piano lessons since she
was 7 years old. She can play church hymns, other songs and this one here a Christmas carol.
Since this week's theme is Joy to the World, I chose to perform this song with
my daughter. The theme is so timely with the season. It is indeed a Joy to the
World when our Savior, Jesus Christ was born.
Sharing to you now our rendition of the song, Joy To The World.
Here's the Lyrics;
JOY TO THE WORLD
source
*1. Joy to the world, the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King!
Let evβry heart prepare him room,
And Saints and angels sing,
And Saints and angels sing,
And Saints, and Saints and angels sing.*
*2. Rejoice! Rejoice when Jesus reigns,
And Saints their songs employ,
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.*
*3. No more will sin and sorrow grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
Heβll come and make the blessings flow
Far as the curse was found,
Far as the curse was found,
Far as, far as the curse was found.*
*4. Rejoice! Rejoice in the Most High,
While Israel spreads abroad
Like stars that glitter in the sky,
And ever worship God,
And ever worship God,
And ever, and ever worship God.*
Thank you for taking the time to watch and listen to our rendition.
Advance Merry Christmas!! :)
Until next time!

Hello Everyone!
How are you all?
I have actually made a post about my birthday last November 29. You might
want to check it out here
Aside from the photos I took, I also captured some videos on that day. Did some editing and upload it here. I had a very simple celebration. I didn't even have a birthday cake. What is important to me is that I am with my family safe and healthy. Thankful for another year of life.
Co Jordan Talaba-Bangus Eatery is located at Consolacion, Cebu, Philippines.
I hope you enjoyed my short video. My apology, some of the language in the video is in our dialect.
By the way, GRL 373 is the plate number of our family car (Kia Pride 2002). And we named it GRL. :D We've been to many places with GRL. Just a little trivia because you might be wondering why GRL373. LOL
Until next time!

Hello everyone!
How are you today? Hoping you are well and good! Sharing to you today my entry for this week's
Hive Open Mic with the theme Beautiful Words.
I chose this song I can by Donna Cruz, a Filipina Artist. It has a positive message and beautiful
words were spoken. It is a song about friendship. Expressing love and trust to a friend.
With words beautifully said and expressed. Someone will be so lucky to have such a true friend.
True friends are rare to find. Lucky are you if had one. I hope I was able to sing it
beautifully as well. Below is it's lyrics.
I Can
source
*I can live, I can love
I can reach the heavens above
I can right what is wrong
I can sing just any song
I can dance, I can fly
And touch the rainbow in the sky
I can be your good friend
I can love you until the end*
*What took you so long to make me see
How lucky I am cause I am free
Free to do the things I wanna do
What took you so long to make me feel
I can give love, a love so real
What took you so long to let me know*
*That I can live, I can love
I can reach the heavens above
I can right what is wrong
I can sing just any song
I can dance, I can fly
And touch the rainbow in the sky
I can be your good friend
I can love you until the end*
*What took you so long to make me cry
So I'll know the reasons why
I'm so lucky I could smile
I didn't know this for a while*
*I can live, I can love
I can reach the heavens above
I can right what is wrong
I can sing just any song
I can dance, I can fly
And touch the rainbow in the sky
I can be your good friend
I can love you until the end*
*I can dance, I can fly
And touch the rainbow in the sky
I can be your good friend
I can love you until the end*
Thank you for listening and reading this far. I hope you like my rendition of
this song.

Greetings Hive Open Mic Community!
Singing to you today another song for this week's Hive Open Mic.
The song is entitled Wind Beneath My Wings originally sang by
Bette Midler, an American singer songwriter.
I find this song so fitting for this week's theme, "In Honor and Love of Them". The song speaks about how one achieves her/his success with the people behind. Supporting her/him all the way. They may seem unnoticed at times because they are just behind the scene, but they served as Wind beneath her wings that pushes and lifts her up.
This song goes out to those who are "Wind Beneath our Wings". They maybe our family, our friends who are ever willing to support and uplift us to achieve our goals in life.
In my case, I will dedicate this song to my husband and children and of course to my parents and siblings. Who supported me all the way. A Huge THANK YOU to them.
Below is the lyrics of the song:
WIND BENEATH MY WINGS
source
*Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.*
*So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.*
*Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.*
*It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.*
*Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.*
*Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.*
*Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.*
*Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.*
Thank you for listening and reaching this far.
Until next time!
Love,
Met

Hello Hive Open Mic Community!
How are you all? Here I am again with another song cover. Sang another Avril Lavigne song.
This time it's "When You're Gone". Did a lot of take with this one here. :D Then finally was able to sing the lyrics right. LOL This is my entry for this week's theme "Reason for Living."
I find this song fit for today's theme. Without the one you love, sometimes you loose reason to live. Missing them so much makes it more difficult.
Here's the Lyrics of the song.
When You're Gone
source
I always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie
Is made up on your side
When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it OK
I miss you
I've never felt this way before
Everything that I do reminds me of you
And the clothes you left, they lie on the floor
And they smell just like you
I love the things that you do
When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
And when you're gone
The words I need to hear
To always get me through the day
And make it OK
I miss you
We were made for each other
Out here forever
I know we were, yeah, yeah
And all I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I do, I give my heart and soul
I can hardly breathe, I need to feel you here with me, yeah
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear will always get me through the day
And make it OK
I miss you
Thank you for listening and reaching this far. I hope you like my rendition.
Until next time!

Hello Hive Open Mic Community!
How are you all? Here I am again for another song cover for this week. I was not able to join last week. But here I am now singing to you lovely people.
The song I chose for this week is I'm With You by Avril Lavigne. I don't know if this fits this week's topic Stories of the Night. As I read through the lyrics,
it talks about being lost at night. :D So I guess, in a way this relates to the theme. :D
Here's the Song Lyrics:
I'm With You
Source
*I'm standing on a bridge
I'm waiting in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
There's nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but there's no sound
Isn't anyone trying to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home?
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand?
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I... I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm looking for a place
I'm searching for a face
Is anybody here I know
'Cause nothing's going right
And everything's a mess
And no one likes to be alone
Isn't anyone trying to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home?
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand?
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I... I'm with you
I'm with you
Oh why is everything so confusing
Maybe I'm just out of my mind
Yeah-he-yaa, yeah-he-yah, yeah-he-yah, yeah-he-yah, yeah!
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand?
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I... I'm with you
I'm with you
Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I... I'm with you
I'm with you
Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I... I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm with you
Thank you for listening. Until next time!

Do you know any child who doesn't like to play in the rain?
If you ask me, I don't know anyone. I guess every child likes to play in the rain!
When I was a child, we used to play in the rain with my siblings too!
Now that we have children, My husband and I often let our children play in the rain, except for times that they
are sick. We like them to experience some of the fun things we did during
our childhood.
This video is just two of the instances. I was not able to take videos on the others.
Do you like to play in the rain too?

So the day came and they were all excited. My friend (the mother) prepared treats for the children which they all enjoyed it. They have also crowns and bubbles!!
Co Jordan, is a Seafood Restaurant with the fishing activity. While we were there, we ordered food and enjoy each others company.

Hello Hive Community!
How are you all?
Sharing to you once again an event my family had last June 25-26, 2021. We took a 3-hour trip to Medellin, Cebu.
The place was kind of far from Cebu City but it was worth the long travel. There we had an overnight stay at Paradizzo Beach Resort.
We enjoyed swimming with other friends too. We were with two other families who are our friends.
The beach was clean and clear and it was white sand. The children enjoyed our stay there.
Swimming and playing with the sand. We were all sunburned! LOL But it's alright because
we had fun.
While we were there, we were also able to buy fresh fish and cooked it for our meals. Aside
from the free breakfast that was included in our room accommodation.
The overall experience was awesome! We got some vitamin "Sea". :D
Thank you for watching my video.
Until next time.

Hello Foodies!
It's been a while that I haven't posted here. Today I am inspired to share to you the DIY Cake I made with a little help from my children.
Last June 27 was our second daughter's 7th birthday. You know when the budget is tight, we mothers find ways to create something special
for the family.
So here it goes. I made a ice cream cake!
Here are the ingredients:
500ml all purpose cream
1 can of condensed milk
cream crackers (you can also use graham crackers)
cookies
The result was a very delicious cake!! I printed a Happy Birthday topper and recycled a cake candle! Then the cake was done! My daughter was
very happy with her cake.
I hope you enjoyed watching my video.
Until next time!

Hello Hive Community!
How are you all? Here I am once again sharing to you another family trip. Last Monday, June 14, 2021, My family and I took another road trip to Carcar and Naga City, Cebu.
It was kinda instant trip. Just thought about it a night before and in the morning we're off the road!
You know when you are with your family, every trip if exciting. The original plan was to go to Naga City. But I happened to have a friend in Carcar City @jurich60, who ordered Pure Tableya (pure chocolate).
Carcar is another 18 kilometers away from Naga City. And so we decided to take the trip to Carcar before heading back to the Boardwalk in Naga City.
I was not able to meet with @jurich60 but met with her daughter, Jewel and grandchildren instead.
Due to some health reasons, she was not able to do so. The meet up was a success. We took photos with each other, did a little chit chat and then we said our goodbyes.
While we were in Carcar, we bought footwears for our children. They were very affordable and durable. We bought one pair each for our our daughters and paid only 330 pesos for all.
Then we were off to Naga City! Bought some food from Jollibee and ate it at the picnic grounds near the Boardwalk.
We all enjoyed the food and the place! By the way, we also have our friend with us on this trip.
We took photos and videos! The weather was cooperating. LOL Though it was kinda hot but it was bearable. We enjoyed the overall experience.
On our way home, we passed by Cebu South Road Properties and saw the bridge connecting Cebu and Cordova under construction.
I hope you enjoyed the trip with us!
Until next time!
Love,
@me2selah
